1 Samyèl 19
1 Sayil pale ak Jonatan ansanm ak chèf k’ap sèvi avè l’ yo, li di yo li fè lide touye David. Men Jonatan, pitit gason Sayil la, te renmen David anpil.
2 Li fè David konnen sa. Li di l’: -Sayil, papa m’, ap chache touye ou. Denmen maten, rete sou prigad ou. Al kache kò ou yon kote. Pa soti menm.
3 Mwen menm, m’ap soti, mwen pral jwenn papa m’ nan jaden kote ou kache a, m’a pale sou ou ak li. Jan l’ reponn mwen, m’a fè ou konnen.
4 Jonatan t’ap bay bèl pawòl pou David devan papa l’, li t’ap di konsa: -Monwa, piga ou fè David, sèvitè ou la, anyen. Li menm, li pa janm fè ou anyen. Tou sa li fè toujou sèvi ou.
5 Li riske lavi li lè l’ al touye sòlda Filisti a. Se konsa Seyè a te delivre tout pèp la, se te bèl bagay. Ou te wè sa, ou te kontan. Poukisa koulye a ou ta renmen wè malè rive yon moun inonsan, ou ta vle touye David san l’ pa fè anyen?
6 Sayil koute Jonatan, li fè sèman, li di l’: -Mwen fè sèman devan Seyè a ki vivan, yo p’ap touye David.
7 Jonatan rele David, li rapòte l’ tout pawòl sa yo. Apre sa, li mennen David bay Sayil. Epi David tanmen sèvi wa a ankò jan li te konn fè anvan an.
8 Lagè pete ankò ak moun Filisti yo. David leve al atake yo, li goumen ak yo, li bat yo byen bat, li fè yo kouri met deyò devan li.
9 Yon jou Seyè a voye yon move lespri ki desann sou Sayil. Sayil te chita lakay li, li te kenbe frenn li nan men l’. David menm t’ap jwe mizik.
10 Sayil t’ap chache kloure David nan miray la ak frenn li, men David eskive kò l’, epi frenn lan al antre nan miray la. David kouri chape kò l’. Menm jou sa a, nan mitan lannwit,
11 Sayil voye kèk espyon al veye kay David la pou yo te touye l’ nan maten. Men, Mikal, madan David, avèti mari l’. Li di l’: -Si ou pa chape poul ou lannwit lan, denmen maten ou mouri.
12 Li fè David soti nan yon fennèt. David kouri, li chape kò l’.
13 Lè sa a, Mikal pran yon zidòl wogatwa, li mete l’ kouche sou kabann lan, li pran yon zòrye fèt ak plim kabrit, li mete l’ nan plas tèt la, epi li kouvri tout ak yon dra.
14 Lè moun Sayil yo vin pou pran David, Mikal di yo David kouche malad.
15 Men, Sayil voye mesye yo tounen pou y’ al wè David ak je yo. Li di yo: -Mennen l’ isit ban mwen ak tout kabann li an pou m’ fè touye l’.
16 Lè mesye yo antre anndan kay la, yo jwenn estati zidòl wogatwa a sou kabann lan ak zòrye plim kabrit la kote pou tèt la te ye a.
17 Sayil di Mikal konsa: -Poukisa ou woule m’ konsa? Ou kite lènmi mwen an chape. Mikal reponn li: -Li te di m’ si m’ pa kite l’ chape, l’ap touye m’!
18 David menm kouri chape kò l’, l’ al jwenn Samyèl lavil Rama. Li rakonte l’ tou sa Sayil te fè l’. Apre sa, li menm ansanm ak Samyèl y’ ale rete lavil Najòt.
19 Y’ al di Sayil men David te lavil Najòt nan zòn Rama a.
20 Sayil voye kèk moun al arete l’. Lè yo rive, yo wè yon gwoup pwofèt ki te gen lespri Bondye a nan tèt yo, avèk Samyèl kanpe devan yo tankou chèf yo. Lamenm lespri Bondye a desann nan tèt moun Sayil te voye yo, epi yo pran fè menm bagay ak pwofèt yo.
21 Yo vin di Sayil sa. Lè sa a, li voye lòt moun ankò. Yo menm tou, yo pran fè menm bagay ak pwofèt yo tou. Yon twazyèm fwa, Sayil voye lòt moun ankò. Yo menm tou, yo pran fè menm bagay ak pwofèt yo.
22 Lè sa a, Sayil leve, l’ ale li menm lavil Rama. Lè li rive bò gwo sitèn dlo ki lavil Sekou a, li mande kote Samyèl ak David ye. Yo di l’ yo lavil Najòt nan zòn Rama a.
23 Li pati dèyè yo. Antan l’ap mache konsa, lespri Bondye a desann nan tèt li tou. Li t’ap fè menm bagay ak pwofèt yo sou tout wout la, jouk li rive devan lavil Najòt nan zòn Rama a.
24 Li wete tout rad sou li, li fè tankou pwofèt yo devan Samyèl. Apre sa, li tonbe atè a toutouni. Li rete tout rès jounen an ak tout lannwit lan atè a konsa. Se depi lè sa a, yo di: Menm Sayil gen lè pwofèt tou?

1 Saül parla à Jonathan, son fils, et à tous ses serviteurs, de faire mourir David. Mais Jonathan, fils de Saül, qui avait une grande affection pour David,
2 l’en informa et lui dit: Saül, mon père, cherche à te faire mourir. Sois donc sur tes gardes demain matin, reste dans un lieu retiré, et cache-toi.
3 Je sortirai et je me tiendrai à côté de mon père dans le champ où tu seras; je parlerai de toi à mon père, je verrai ce qu’il dira, et je te le rapporterai.
4 Jonathan parla favorablement de David à Saül, son père: Que le roi, dit-il, ne commette pas un péché à l’égard de son serviteur David, car il n’en a point commis envers toi. Au contraire, il a agi pour ton bien;
5 il a exposé sa vie, il a tué le Philistin, et l’Éternel a opéré une grande délivrance pour tout Israël. Tu l’as vu, et tu t’en es réjoui. Pourquoi pécherais-tu contre le sang innocent, et ferais-tu sans raison mourir David?
6 Saül écouta la voix de Jonathan, et il jura, disant: L’Éternel est vivant! David ne mourra pas.
7 Jonathan appela David, et lui rapporta toutes ces paroles; puis il l’amena auprès de Saül, en présence de qui David fut comme auparavant.
8 La guerre continuait. David marcha contre les Philistins, et se battit avec eux; il leur fit éprouver une grande défaite, et ils s’enfuirent devant lui.
9 Alors le mauvais esprit de l’Éternel fut sur Saül, qui était assis dans sa maison, sa lance à la main.
10 David jouait, et Saül voulut le frapper avec sa lance contre la paroi. Mais David se détourna de lui, et Saül frappa de sa lance la paroi. David prit la fuite et s’échappa pendant la nuit.
11 Saül envoya des gens vers la maison de David, pour le garder et le faire mourir au matin. Mais Mical, femme de David, l’en informa et lui dit: Si tu ne te sauves pas cette nuit, demain tu es mort.
12 Elle le fit descendre par la fenêtre, et David s’en alla et s’enfuit. C’est ainsi qu’il échappa.
13 Ensuite Mical prit le théraphim, qu’elle plaça dans le lit; elle mit une peau de chèvre à son chevet, et elle l’enveloppa d’une couverture.
14 Lorsque Saül envoya des gens pour prendre David, elle dit: Il est malade.
15 Saül les renvoya pour qu’ils le vissent, et il dit: Apportez-le-moi dans son lit, afin que je le fasse mourir.
16 Ces gens revinrent, et voici, le théraphim était dans le lit, et une peau de chèvre à son chevet.
17 Saül dit à Mical: Pourquoi m’as-tu trompé de la sorte, et as-tu laissé partir mon ennemi qui s’est échappé? Mical répondit à Saül: Il m’a dit: Laisse moi aller, ou je te tue!
18 C’est ainsi que David prit la fuite et qu’il échappa. Il se rendit auprès de Samuel à Rama, et lui raconta tout ce que Saül lui avait fait. Puis il alla avec Samuel demeurer à Najoth.
19 On le rapporta à Saül, en disant: Voici, David est à Najoth, près de Rama.
20 Saül envoya des gens pour prendre David. Ils virent une assemblée de prophètes qui prophétisaient, ayant Samuel à leur tête. L’esprit de Dieu saisit les envoyés de Saül, et ils se mirent aussi à prophétiser eux-mêmes.
21 On en fit rapport à Saül, qui envoya d’autres gens, et eux aussi prophétisèrent. Il en envoya encore pour la troisième fois, et ils prophétisèrent également.
22 Alors Saül alla lui-même à Rama. Arrivé à la grande citerne qui est à Sécou, il demanda: Où sont Samuel et David? On lui répondit: Ils sont à Najoth, près de Rama.
23 Et il se dirigea vers Najoth, près de Rama. L’esprit de Dieu fut aussi sur lui; et Saül continua son chemin en prophétisant, jusqu’à son arrivée à Najoth, près de Rama.
24 Il ôta ses vêtements, et il prophétisa aussi devant Samuel; et il se jeta nu par terre tout ce jour-là et toute la nuit. C’est pourquoi l’on dit: Saül est-il aussi parmi les prophètes?

1 And Saul spake to Jonathan his son, and to all his servants, that they should kill David.
2 But Jonathan Saul’s son delighted much in David: and Jonathan told David, saying, Saul my father seeketh to kill thee: now therefore, I pray thee, take heed to thyself until the morning, and abide in a secret place, and hide thyself:
3 And I will go out and stand beside my father in the field where thou art, and I will commune with my father of thee; and what I see, that I will tell thee.
4 And Jonathan spake good of David unto Saul his father, and said unto him, Let not the king sin against his servant, against David; because he hath not sinned against thee, and because his works have been to thee-ward very good:
5 For he did put his life in his hand, and slew the Philistine, and the Lord wrought a great salvation for all Israel: thou sawest it, and didst rejoice: wherefore then wilt thou sin against innocent blood, to slay David without a cause?
6 And Saul hearkened unto the voice of Jonathan: and Saul sware, As the Lord liveth, he shall not be slain.
7 And Jonathan called David, and Jonathan shewed him all those things. And Jonathan brought David to Saul, and he was in his presence, as in times past.
8 And there was war again: and David went out, and fought with the Philistines, and slew them with a great slaughter; and they fled from him.
9 And the evil spirit from the Lord was upon Saul, as he sat in his house with his javelin in his hand: and David played with his hand.
10 And Saul sought to smite David even to the wall with the javelin: but he slipped away out of Saul’s presence, and he smote the javelin into the wall: and David fled, and escaped that night.
11 Saul also sent messengers unto David’s house, to watch him, and to slay him in the morning: and Michal David’s wife told him, saying, If thou save not thy life to night, to morrow thou shalt be slain.
12 So Michal let David down through a window: and he went, and fled, and escaped.
13 And Michal took an image, and laid it in the bed, and put a pillow of goats’ hair for his bolster, and covered it with a cloth.
14 And when Saul sent messengers to take David, she said, He is sick.
15 And Saul sent the messengers again to see David, saying, Bring him up to me in the bed, that I may slay him.
16 And when the messengers were come in, behold, there was an image in the bed, with a pillow of goats’ hair for his bolster.
17 And Saul said unto Michal, Why hast thou deceived me so, and sent away mine enemy, that he is escaped? And Michal answered Saul, He said unto me, Let me go; why should I kill thee?
18 So David fled, and escaped, and came to Samuel to Ramah, and told him all that Saul had done to him. And he and Samuel went and dwelt in Naioth.
19 And it was told Saul, saying, Behold, David is at Naioth in Ramah.
20 And Saul sent messengers to take David: and when they saw the company of the prophets prophesying, and Samuel standing as appointed over them, the Spirit of God was upon the messengers of Saul, and they also prophesied.
21 And when it was told Saul, he sent other messengers, and they prophesied likewise. And Saul sent messengers again the third time, and they prophesied also.
22 Then went he also to Ramah, and came to a great well that is in Sechu: and he asked and said, Where are Samuel and David? And one said, Behold, they be at Naioth in Ramah.
23 And he went thither to Naioth in Ramah: and the Spirit of God was upon him also, and he went on, and prophesied, until he came to Naioth in Ramah.
24 And he stripped off his clothes also, and prophesied before Samuel in like manner, and lay down naked all that day and all that night. Wherefore they say, Is Saul also among the prophets?
