16 Yo te wè l’, men te gen kichòy ki te anpeche yo rekonèt li.
17 Li di yo: Sou kisa n’ap pale konsa antan n’ap mache a? Yo rete yo kanpe tou tris.
18 Yonn ladan yo ki te rele Kleopas reponn li: Gen lè ou se sèl moun k’ap viv lavil Jerizalèm ki pa konn sak te rive nan senmenn ki sot pase a?
19 Li di yo: Ki sak te rive konsa? Yo reponn li: Tou sak te rive Jezi, moun Nazarèt la. Nonm sa a te yon gwo pwofèt devan Bondye ak devan tout pèp la: li te fè anpil bèl bagay epi li te pale byen.
20 Enben, chèf prèt yo ak otorite nou yo fè yo kondannen l’ amò, epi yo kloure l’ sou yon kwa.
21 Nou te gen espwa se li menm ki t’ap vin delivre pep Izrayèl la. Men, jòdi a fè twa jou depi bagay sa yo pase.
22 Fòk nou di ou tou gen kèk fanm nan gwoup nou an ki fè nou byen sezi. Yo te al nan kavo a granmaten jòdi a.
23 Men, yo pa jwenn kò a. Yo tounen vin rakonte te gen zanj Bondye ki te parèt devan yo, ki te di yo li vivan.
24 Gen kèk zanmi nou yo ki al nan kavo a tou. Yo jwenn tout bagay jan medam yo te di l’ la; men li menm, yo pa wè li.
25 Lè sa a Jezi di yo: Ala moun san konprann! Ki jan lespri nou fè lou pou kwè tou sa pwofèt yo te di konsa!

32 Yonn pran di lòt: Eske nou pa t’ santi tankou yon dife k’ap boule nan kè nou lè l’ t’ap pale avèk nou sou tout wout la, lè l’ t’ap esplike nou sak te ekri nan Liv yo?
33 Latou, yo leve, yo tounen Jerizalèm. Lè yo rive, yo jwenn onz disip yo reyini ak zanmi yo.
34 Yo tout yo t’ap di: Se vre wi, Seyè a leve vivan. Simon wè li.
35 Lè sa a, de disip yo pran rakonte sak te rive yo sou wout la, ki jan yo te rekonèt li lè l’ te kase pen an.
36 Pandan yo t’ap pale konsa, Jezi li menm vin kanpe nan mitan yo, li di yo: benediksyon Bondye sou nou tout.
37 Yo te pè, yo pran tranble: yo te kwè se yon revenan.
38 Men, Jezi di yo: Poukisa nou pè konsa? Pouki tout lide sa yo nan tèt nou?
39 Gade men m’ ak pye m’ yo. Se mwen menm wi. Nou mèt mangen m’. Gade m’ byen: yon revenan pa gen vyann ak zo jan nou wè m’ genyen an.
40 Antan li t’ap di yo sa, li moutre yo men l’ ak pye l’ yo.
41 Yon sèl kè kontan pran disip yo, men yo pa t’ kwè toujou sitèlman yo te sezi. Lè sa a, Jezi di yo: Eske nou gen kichòy la a pou manje?
42 Yo ofri l’ yon moso pwason boukannen.
43 Li pran l’, li manje l’ devan je yo.
44 Epi li di yo: Men sa m’ t’ap di nou an lè m’ te la avèk nou toujou a. Tou sa ki te ekri sou mwen nan lalwa Moyiz la, nan Liv pwofèt yo, menm nan sòm yo, fòk tou sa te rive.
45 Lè sa a, li louvri lespri yo pou yo te ka konprann tou sa ki te ekri nan Liv yo.
46 Li di yo: Men sa ki te ekri: Kris la gen pou l’ soufri jouk li mouri, men sou twa jou li gen pou l’ soti vivan nan lanmò.
47 Y’a pran non l’ pou yo mache fè konnen mesaj la nan tout peyi, kòmanse lavil Jerizalèm, pou mande tout moun pou yo tounen vin jwenn Bondye pou yo ka resevwa padon peche yo.
48 Nou temwen tout bagay sa yo.
49 Mwen menm, mapral voye ban nou sa Papa m’ te pwomèt la. Nou menm, rete lavil Jerizalèm jouk pouvwa k’ap soti anwo nan syèl la va desann sou nou.
50 Apre sa, li mennen yo an deyò lavil la, bò Betani, epi li leve men li pou l’ beni yo.
51 Antan l’ap beni yo konsa, li separe ak yo, li moute nan syèl la.
52 Yo menm menm, lè yo fin adore l’, yo tounen lavil Jerizalèm ak yon gwo kè kontan.
53 Se tout tan yo te nan tanp lan ap fè lwanj Bondye.

1 Le premier jour de la semaine, elles se rendirent au sépulcre de grand matin, portant les aromates qu’elles avaient préparés.
2 Elles trouvèrent que la pierre avait été roulée de devant le sépulcre;
3 et, étant entrées, elles ne trouvèrent pas le corps du Seigneur Jésus.
4 Comme elles ne savaient que penser de cela, voici, deux hommes leur apparurent, en habits resplendissants.
5 Saisies de frayeur, elles baissèrent le visage contre terre; mais ils leur dirent: Pourquoi cherchez-vous parmi les morts celui qui est vivant?
6 Il n’est point ici, mais il est ressuscité. Souvenez-vous de quelle manière il vous a parlé, lorsqu’il était encore en Galilée,
7 et qu’il disait: Il faut que le Fils de l’homme soit livré entre les mains des pécheurs, qu’il soit crucifié, et qu’il ressuscite le troisième jour.
8 Et elles se ressouvinrent des paroles de Jésus.
9 A leur retour du sépulcre, elles annoncèrent toutes ces choses aux onze, et à tous les autres.
10 Celles qui dirent ces choses aux apôtres étaient Marie de Magdala, Jeanne, Marie, mère de Jacques, et les autres qui étaient avec elles.
11 Ils tinrent ces discours pour des rêveries, et ils ne crurent pas ces femmes.
12 Mais Pierre se leva, et courut au sépulcre. S’étant baissé, il ne vit que les linges qui étaient à terre; puis il s’en alla chez lui, dans l’étonnement de ce qui était arrivé.
13 Et voici, ce même jour, deux disciples allaient à un village nommé Emmaüs, éloigné de Jérusalem de soixante stades;
14 et ils s’entretenaient de tout ce qui s’était passé.
15 Pendant qu’ils parlaient et discutaient, Jésus s’approcha, et fit route avec eux.
16 Mais leurs yeux étaient empêchés de le reconnaître.
17 Il leur dit: De quoi vous entretenez-vous en marchant, pour que vous soyez tout tristes?
18 L’un d’eux, nommé Cléopas, lui répondit: Es-tu le seul qui, séjournant à Jérusalem ne sache pas ce qui y est arrivé ces jours-ci? –
19 Quoi? leur dit-il. -Et ils lui répondirent: Ce qui est arrivé au sujet de Jésus de Nazareth, qui était un prophète puissant en oeuvres et en paroles devant Dieu et devant tout le peuple,
20 et comment les principaux sacrificateurs et nos magistrats l’on livré pour le faire condamner à mort et l’ont crucifié.
21 Nous espérions que ce serait lui qui délivrerait Israël; mais avec tout cela, voici le troisième jour que ces choses se sont passées.
22 Il est vrai que quelques femmes d’entre nous nous ont fort étonnés; s’étant rendues de grand matin au sépulcre
23 et n’ayant pas trouvé son corps, elles sont venues dire que des anges leurs sont apparus et ont annoncé qu’il est vivant.
24 Quelques-uns de ceux qui étaient avec nous sont allés au sépulcre, et ils ont trouvé les choses comme les femmes l’avaient dit; mais lui, ils ne l’ont point vu.
25 Alors Jésus leur dit: O hommes sans intelligence, et dont le coeur est lent à croire tout ce qu’ont dit les prophètes!
26 Ne fallait-il pas que le Christ souffrît ces choses, et qu’il entrât dans sa gloire?
27 Et, commençant par Moïse et par tous les prophètes, il leur expliqua dans toutes les Écritures ce qui le concernait.
28 Lorsqu’ils furent près du village où ils allaient, il parut vouloir aller plus loin.
29 Mais ils le pressèrent, en disant: Reste avec nous, car le soir approche, le jour est sur son déclin. Et il entra, pour rester avec eux.
30 Pendant qu’il était à table avec eux, il prit le pain; et, après avoir rendu grâces, il le rompit, et le leur donna.
31 Alors leurs yeux s’ouvrirent, et ils le reconnurent; mais il disparut de devant eux.
32 Et ils se dirent l’un à l’autre: Notre coeur ne brûlait-il pas au dedans de nous, lorsqu’il nous parlait en chemin et nous expliquait les Écritures?
33 Se levant à l’heure même, ils retournèrent à Jérusalem, et ils trouvèrent les onze, et ceux qui étaient avec eux, assemblés
34 et disant: Le Seigneur est réellement ressuscité, et il est apparu à Simon.
35 Et ils racontèrent ce qui leur était arrivé en chemin, et comment ils l’avaient reconnu au moment où il rompit le pain.
36 Tandis qu’ils parlaient de la sorte, lui-même se présenta au milieu d’eux, et leur dit: La paix soit avec vous!
37 Saisis de frayeur et d’épouvante, ils croyaient voir un esprit.
38 Mais il leur dit: Pourquoi êtes-vous troublés, et pourquoi pareilles pensées s’élèvent-elles dans vos coeurs?
39 Voyez mes mains et mes pieds, c’est bien moi; touchez-moi et voyez: un esprit n’a ni chair ni os, comme vous voyez que j’ai.
40 Et en disant cela, il leur montra ses mains et ses pieds.
41 Comme, dans leur joie, ils ne croyaient point encore, et qu’ils étaient dans l’étonnement, il leur dit: Avez-vous ici quelque chose à manger?
42 Ils lui présentèrent du poisson rôti et un rayon de miel.
43 Il en prit, et il mangea devant eux.
44 Puis il leur dit: C’est là ce que je vous disais lorsque j’étais encore avec vous, qu’il fallait que s’accomplît tout ce qui est écrit de moi dans la loi de Moïse, dans les prophètes, et dans les psaumes.
45 Alors il leur ouvrit l’esprit, afin qu’ils comprissent les Écritures.
46 Et il leur dit: Ainsi il est écrit que le Christ souffrirait, et qu’il ressusciterait des morts le troisième jour,
47 et que la repentance et le pardon des péchés seraient prêchés en son nom à toutes les nations, à commencer par Jérusalem.
48 Vous êtes témoins de ces choses.
49 Et voici, j’enverrai sur vous ce que mon Père a promis; mais vous, restez dans la ville jusqu’à ce que vous soyez revêtus de la puissance d’en haut.
50 Il les conduisit jusque vers Béthanie, et, ayant levé les mains, il les bénit.
51 Pendant qu’il les bénissait, il se sépara d’eux, et fut enlevé au ciel.
52 Pour eux, après l’avoir adoré, ils retournèrent à Jérusalem avec une grande joie;
53 et ils étaient continuellement dans le temple, louant et bénissant Dieu.

1 Now upon the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they came unto the sepulchre, bringing the spices which they had prepared, and certain others with them.
2 And they found the stone rolled away from the sepulchre.
3 And they entered in, and found not the body of the Lord Jesus.
4 And it came to pass, as they were much perplexed thereabout, behold, two men stood by them in shining garments:
5 And as they were afraid, and bowed down their faces to the earth, they said unto them, Why seek ye the living among the dead?
6 He is not here, but is risen: remember how he spake unto you when he was yet in Galilee,
7 Saying, The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.
8 And they remembered his words,
9 And returned from the sepulchre, and told all these things unto the eleven, and to all the rest.
10 It was Mary Magdalene and Joanna, and Mary the mother of James, and other women that were with them, which told these things unto the apostles.
11 And their words seemed to them as idle tales, and they believed them not.
12 Then arose Peter, and ran unto the sepulchre; and stooping down, he beheld the linen clothes laid by themselves, and departed, wondering in himself at that which was come to pass.
13 And, behold, two of them went that same day to a village called Emmaus, which was from Jerusalem about threescore furlongs.
14 And they talked together of all these things which had happened.
15 And it came to pass, that, while they communed together and reasoned, Jesus himself drew near, and went with them.
16 But their eyes were holden that they should not know him.
17 And he said unto them, What manner of communications are these that ye have one to another, as ye walk, and are sad?
18 And the one of them, whose name was Cleopas, answering said unto him, Art thou only a stranger in Jerusalem, and hast not known the things which are come to pass there in these days?
19 And he said unto them, What things? And they said unto him, Concerning Jesus of Nazareth, which was a prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people:
20 And how the chief priests and our rulers delivered him to be condemned to death, and have crucified him.
21 But we trusted that it had been he which should have redeemed Israel: and beside all this, to day is the third day since these things were done.
22 Yea, and certain women also of our company made us astonished, which were early at the sepulchre;
23 And when they found not his body, they came, saying, that they had also seen a vision of angels, which said that he was alive.
24 And certain of them which were with us went to the sepulchre, and found it even so as the women had said: but him they saw not.
25 Then he said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken:
26 Ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter into his glory?
27 And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself.
28 And they drew nigh unto the village, whither they went: and he made as though he would have gone further.
29 But they constrained him, saying, Abide with us: for it is toward evening, and the day is far spent. And he went in to tarry with them.
30 And it came to pass, as he sat at meat with them, he took bread, and blessed it, and brake, and gave to them.
31 And their eyes were opened, and they knew him; and he vanished out of their sight.
32 And they said one to another, Did not our heart burn within us, while he talked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the scriptures?
33 And they rose up the same hour, and returned to Jerusalem, and found the eleven gathered together, and them that were with them,
34 Saying, The Lord is risen indeed, and hath appeared to Simon.
35 And they told what things were done in the way, and how he was known of them in breaking of bread.
36 And as they thus spake, Jesus himself stood in the midst of them, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you.
37 But they were terrified and affrighted, and supposed that they had seen a spirit.
38 And he said unto them, Why are ye troubled? and why do thoughts arise in your hearts?
39 Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have.
40 And when he had thus spoken, he shewed them his hands and his feet.
41 And while they yet believed not for joy, and wondered, he said unto them, Have ye here any meat?
42 And they gave him a piece of a broiled fish, and of an honeycomb.
43 And he took it, and did eat before them.
44 And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.
45 Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures,
46 And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behooved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:
47 And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.
48 And ye are witnesses of these things.
49 And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.
50 And he led them out as far as to Bethany, and he lifted up his hands, and blessed them.
51 And it came to pass, while he blessed them, he was parted from them, and carried up into heaven.
52 And they worshipped him, and returned to Jerusalem with great joy:
53 And were continually in the temple, praising and blessing God. Amen.
