Matye 8
1 Jezi moute nan kannòt la, li tounen lòt bò lanmè a ankò, nan lavil kote l’ te ye a.
2 Se konsa, yo pote ba li yon nonm paralize kouche sou yon kabann. Jezi wè jan moun yo te gen konfyans nan li, li di nonm paralize a: Pran kouraj, pitit mwen, peche ou yo padonnen.
3 Lè sa a, kèk dirèktè lalwa di nan kè yo: Nonm sa a ap pale mal sou Bondye.
4 Men, Jezi te gen tan konnen sa ki t’ap pase nan tèt yo. Li di yo: Poukisa n’ap fè move lide konsa nan tèt nou?
5 Kisa ki pi fasil pou m’ di: Peche ou yo padonnen, osinon: Leve mache?
6 Enben, m’ap fè nou konnen mwen menm, Moun Bondye voye nan lachè a, mwen gen pouvwa sou latè pou m’ padonnen peche. Li vire, li di nonm paralize a: Leve kanpe, pran kabann ou, ale lakay ou.
7 Nonm lan leve kanpe vre, li ale lakay li.
8 Lè moun yo wè sa, yo tout te pè, yo fè lwanj Bondye dapre li te bay lèzòm kalite pouvwa sa a.
9 Jezi kite kote l’ te ye a. Antan li t’ap pase konsa, li wè yon nonm yo te rele Matye ki te chita nan biwo kontribisyon an. Jezi di l’ konsa: Swiv mwen. Matye annik leve, li swiv Jezi.
10 Pita, Jezi t’ap manje nan kay la. Te gen anpil pèseptè kontribisyon ak moun k’ap fè sa ki mal ki te vin chita sou tab avè l’ ansanm ak disip li yo.
11 Farizyen yo wè sa, yo di disip li yo: Poukisa Mèt nou an ap manje konsa ak pèseptè kontribisyon ansanm ak moun k’ap fè sa ki mal yo?
12 Jezi tande sa, li di yo: Si yon moun ansante, li pa bezwen dòktè. Se moun malad ki bezwen dòktè.
13 Ale non, chache konprann sans pawòl sa yo ki nan Liv la: Mwen vle pou nou gen kè sansib. Mwen pa bezwen bèt n’ap ofri pou touye pou mwen yo. Paske, mwen pa vin rele moun k’ap mache dwat devan Bondye, men moun k’ap fè sa ki mal yo.
14 Disip Jan Batis yo pwoche bò kot Jezi, yo di li: Nou menm ak farizyen yo, nou fè jèn. Men, poukisa disip ou yo pa fè jèn tou?
15 Jezi reponn yo: Eske zanmi yon nonm k’ap marye kapab nan lapenn toutotan nonm k’ap marye a la ak yo? Non, pa vre? Men, lè lè a va rive pou l’ pa nan mitan yo ankò, se lè sa a y’a fè jèn.
16 Pesonn pa pyese yon vye rad ak yon moso twal nèf. Paske, pyès nèf la va pati ak moso nan rad la. Lè sa a, rad la chire pi mal.
17 Konsa tou, yo pa mete diven ki fenk fèt nan vye veso fèt an po. Si ou fè sa, veso an po yo gen pou pete, diven an gen pou koule atè; epi ou pèdi veso yo tou. Men, yo mete diven ki fèk fèt nan veso an po ki fenk fèt tou. Konsa, ni diven an ni veso an po yo ap byen konsève.
18 Antan Jezi t’ap pale konsa ak moun yo, yonn nan chèf jwif yo vin rive, li mete ajenou devan Jezi. Li di li: Pitit fi mwen an fèk mouri. Men, vin mete men ou sou li pou li ka viv.
19 Jezi leve, li swiv nonm lan. Disip li yo te ale avè l’ tou.
20 Lè sa a, yon fanm ki te malad pwoche pa dèyè Jezi. Li te gen pèdisyon depi douzan. Li manyen rebò rad Jezi a,
21 paske li t’ap di nan kè l’: Si m’ ka manyen rad li sèlman, m’a geri.
22 Jezi vire tèt li, li wè fanm lan. Li di l’ konsa: Pran kouraj, mafi. Konfyans ou nan Bondye ap geri ou. Menm lè a, fanm lan geri.
23 Lè Jezi rive kay chèf la, li wè mizisyen yo ki t’ap pare pou lantèman an, ansanm ak yon foul moun ki t’ap fè anpil bri.
24 Jezi di yo: Tout moun, soti. Tifi a pa mouri. Se dòmi l’ap dòmi. Yo pran pase l’ nan betiz.
25 Lè foul moun yo fin soti, Jezi antre nan chanm lan. Li pran men tifi a. Lamenm, tifi a leve.
26 Nouvèl la gaye nan tout peyi a.
27 Jezi kite kote l’ te ye a. Antan li t’ap pase yon kote, de avèg pran mache dèyè li. Yo t’ap rele: Pitit David, gen pitye pou nou!
28 Lè Jezi rive nan kay la, avèg yo pwoche bò kote li. Jezi di yo: Eske nou kwè mwen ka fè sa pou nou? Yo reponn li: Wi, Mèt.
29 Lè sa a, li manyen je yo, li di: Se pou sa fèt pou nou jan nou kwè l’ la.
30 Je yo louvri. Jezi pale byen sevè ak yo, li di yo: Tande byen, piga pesonn konn sa.
31 Men, ale yo ale, yo pran nonmen non l’ toupatou nan peyi a.
32 Antan avèg yo taprale, kèk lòt moun mennen yon nonm bay Jezi. Nonm sa a te bèbè, paske li te gen yon move lespri sou li.
33 Chase Jezi chase move lespri a, bèbè a pran pale. Foul moun yo te sezi anpil. Yo t’ap di: Nou poko janm wè bagay konsa nan peyi Izrayèl.
34 Men, farizyen yo t’ap di: Se chèf move lespri yo ki ba l’ pouvwa pou chase move lespri yo.
35 Jezi t’ap mache nan tout lavil yo ak tout ti bouk yo. Li t’ap moutre moun yo anpil bagay nan sinagòg yo. Li t’ap fè konnen Bon Nouvèl Peyi kote Bondye Wa a. Li t’ap geri tout kalite maladi ak tout kalite enfimite.
36 Lè Jezi wè tout bann moun sa yo, kè l’ fè l’ mal pou yo paske li wè yo te bouke, yo te dekouraje, tankou yon bann mouton san gadò.
37 Lè sa a, li di disip li yo: Rekòt la anpil, men manke travayè pou ranmase l’.
38 Mande mèt jaden an pou li voye travayè nan jaden l’ lan.

Mathieu 8
1 Jésus, étant monté dans une barque, traversa la mer, et alla dans sa ville.
2 Et voici, on lui amena un paralytique couché sur un lit. Jésus, voyant leur foi, dit au paralytique: Prends courage, mon enfant, tes péchés te sont pardonnés.
3 Sur quoi, quelques scribes dirent au dedans d’eux: Cet homme blasphème.
4 Et Jésus, connaissant leurs pensées, dit: Pourquoi avez-vous de mauvaises pensées dans vos coeurs?
5 Car, lequel est le plus aisé, de dire: Tes péchés sont pardonnés, ou de dire: Lève-toi, et marche?
6 Or, afin que vous sachiez que le Fils de l’homme a sur la terre le pouvoir de pardonner les péchés: Lève-toi, dit-il au paralytique, prends ton lit, et va dans ta maison.
7 Et il se leva, et s’en alla dans sa maison.
8 Quand la foule vit cela, elle fut saisie de crainte, et elle glorifia Dieu, qui a donné aux hommes un tel pouvoir.
9 De là étant allé plus loin, Jésus vit un homme assis au lieu des péages, et qui s’appelait Matthieu. Il lui dit: Suis-moi. Cet homme se leva, et le suivit.
10 Comme Jésus était à table dans la maison, voici, beaucoup de publicains et de gens de mauvaise vie vinrent se mettre à table avec lui et avec ses disciples.
11 Les pharisiens virent cela, et ils dirent à ses disciples: Pourquoi votre maître mange-t-il avec les publicains et les gens de mauvaise vie?
12 Ce que Jésus ayant entendu, il dit: Ce ne sont pas ceux qui se portent bien qui ont besoin de médecin, mais les malades.
13 Allez, et apprenez ce que signifie: Je prends plaisir à la miséricorde, et non aux sacrifices. Car je ne suis pas venu appeler des justes, mais des pécheurs.
14 Alors les disciples de Jean vinrent auprès de Jésus, et dirent: Pourquoi nous et les pharisiens jeûnons-nous, tandis que tes disciples ne jeûnent point?
15 Jésus leur répondit: Les amis de l’époux peuvent-ils s’affliger pendant que l’époux est avec eux? Les jours viendront où l’époux leur sera enlevé, et alors ils jeûneront.
16 Personne ne met une pièce de drap neuf à un vieil habit; car elle emporterait une partie de l’habit, et la déchirure serait pire.
17 On ne met pas non plus du vin nouveau dans de vieilles outres; autrement, les outres se rompent, le vin se répand, et les outres sont perdues; mais on met le vin nouveau dans des outres neuves, et le vin et les outres se conservent.
18 Tandis qu’il leur adressait ces paroles, voici, un chef arriva, se prosterna devant lui, et dit: Ma fille est morte il y a un instant; mais viens, impose-lui les mains, et elle vivra.
19 Jésus se leva, et le suivit avec ses disciples.
20 Et voici, une femme atteinte d’une perte de sang depuis douze ans s’approcha par derrière, et toucha le bord de son vêtement.
21 Car elle disait en elle-même: Si je puis seulement toucher son vêtement, je serai guérie.
22 Jésus se retourna, et dit, en la voyant: Prends courage, ma fille, ta foi t’a guérie. Et cette femme fut guérie à l’heure même.
23 Lorsque Jésus fut arrivé à la maison du chef, et qu’il vit les joueurs de flûte et la foule bruyante,
24 il leur dit: Retirez-vous; car la jeune fille n’est pas morte, mais elle dort. Et ils se moquaient de lui.
25 Quand la foule eut été renvoyée, il entra, prit la main de la jeune fille, et la jeune fille se leva.
26 Le bruit s’en répandit dans toute la contrée.
27 Étant parti de là, Jésus fut suivi par deux aveugles, qui criaient: Aie pitié de nous, Fils de David!
28 Lorsqu’il fut arrivé à la maison, les aveugles s’approchèrent de lui, et Jésus leur dit: Croyez-vous que je puisse faire cela? Oui, Seigneur, lui répondirent-ils.
29 Alors il leur toucha leurs yeux, en disant: Qu’il vous soit fait selon votre foi.
30 Et leurs yeux s’ouvrirent. Jésus leur fit cette recommandation sévère: Prenez garde que personne ne le sache.
31 Mais, dès qu’ils furent sortis, ils répandirent sa renommée dans tout le pays.
32 Comme ils s’en allaient, voici, on amena à Jésus un démoniaque muet.
33 Le démon ayant été chassé, le muet parla. Et la foule étonnée disait: Jamais pareille chose ne s’est vue en Israël.
34 Mais les pharisiens dirent: C’est par le prince des démons qu’il chasse les démons.
35 Jésus parcourait toutes les villes et les villages, enseignant dans les synagogues, prêchant la bonne nouvelle du royaume, et guérissant toute maladie et toute infirmité.
36 Voyant la foule, il fut ému de compassion pour elle, parce qu’elle était languissante et abattue, comme des brebis qui n’ont point de berger.
37 Alors il dit à ses disciples: La moisson est grande, mais il y a peu d’ouvriers.
38 Priez donc le maître de la moisson d’envoyer des ouvriers dans sa moisson.

1 And he entered into a ship, and passed over, and came into his own city.
2 And, behold, they brought to him a man sick of the palsy, lying on a bed: and Jesus seeing their faith said unto the sick of the palsy; Son, be of good cheer; thy sins be forgiven thee.
3 And, behold, certain of the scribes said within themselves, This man blasphemeth.
4 And Jesus knowing their thoughts said, Wherefore think ye evil in your hearts?
5 For whether is easier, to say, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Arise, and walk?
6 But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (then saith he to the sick of the palsy,) Arise, take up thy bed, and go unto thine house.
7 And he arose, and departed to his house.
8 But when the multitudes saw it, they marvelled, and glorified God, which had given such power unto men.
9 And as Jesus passed forth from thence, he saw a man, named Matthew, sitting at the receipt of custom: and he saith unto him, Follow me. And he arose, and followed him.
10 And it came to pass, as Jesus sat at meat in the house, behold, many publicans and sinners came and sat down with him and his disciples.
11 And when the Pharisees saw it, they said unto his disciples, Why eateth your Master with publicans and sinners?
12 But when Jesus heard that, he said unto them, They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick.
13 But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
14 Then came to him the disciples of John, saying, Why do we and the Pharisees fast oft, but thy disciples fast not?
15 And Jesus said unto them, Can the children of the bridechamber mourn, as long as the bridegroom is with them? but the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken from them, and then shall they fast.
16 No man putteth a piece of new cloth unto an old garment, for that which is put in to fill it up taketh from the garment, and the rent is made worse.
17 Neither do men put new wine into old bottles: else the bottles break, and the wine runneth out, and the bottles perish: but they put new wine into new bottles, and both are preserved.
18 While he spake these things unto them, behold, there came a certain ruler, and worshipped him, saying, My daughter is even now dead: but come and lay thy hand upon her, and she shall live.
19 And Jesus arose, and followed him, and so did his disciples.
20 And, behold, a woman, which was diseased with an issue of blood twelve years, came behind him, and touched the hem of his garment:
21 For she said within herself, If I may but touch his garment, I shall be whole.
22 But Jesus turned him about, and when he saw her, he said, Daughter, be of good comfort; thy faith hath made thee whole. And the woman was made whole from that hour.
23 And when Jesus came into the ruler’s house, and saw the minstrels and the people making a noise,
24 He said unto them, Give place: for the maid is not dead, but sleepeth. And they laughed him to scorn.
25 But when the people were put forth, he went in, and took her by the hand, and the maid arose.
26 And the fame hereof went abroad into all that land.
27 And when Jesus departed thence, two blind men followed him, crying, and saying, Thou son of David, have mercy on us.
28 And when he was come into the house, the blind men came to him: and Jesus saith unto them, Believe ye that I am able to do this? They said unto him, Yea, Lord.
29 Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto you.
30 And their eyes were opened; and Jesus straitly charged them, saying, See that no man know it.
31 But they, when they were departed, spread abroad his fame in all that country.
32 As they went out, behold, they brought to him a dumb man possessed with a devil.
33 And when the devil was cast out, the dumb spake: and the multitudes marvelled, saying, It was never so seen in Israel.
34 But the Pharisees said, He casteth out devils through the prince of the devils.
35 And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.
36 But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd.
37 Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few;
38 Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.
