1 Apre sa, nou pran yon lòt chemen nan direksyon peyi Bazan an. Men, Og, wa peyi Bazan an, soti ak tout lame li a, li vin kare pou batay ak nou bò lavil Edreyi a.
2 Lè sa a, Seyè a di m’ konsa: Nou pa bezwen pè li, mwen pral lage yo nan men nou, li menm ansanm ak tout pèp li a ak tout peyi li a. Menm sa nou te fè Siyon, wa peyi Amori ki te rete lavil Esbon an, se sa nou pral fè li tou.
3 Se konsa Seyè a, Bondye nou an, te lage Og, wa peyi Bazan an, nan men nou ansanm ak tout pèp li a. Nou touye yo tout. Nou pa kite pesonn chape.
4 Konsa tou, nou pran tout lavil yo pou nou. Pa t’ gen yonn menm ki pa t’ tonbe nan men nou. Antou nou te pran swasant lavil, tout lavil ki te nan zòn Agòb la, kote Og, wa Bazan an, t’ap gouvènen.
5 Tout lavil sa yo te gen bèl defans. Yo te gen ranpa byen wo, gwo baryè ak ba solid pou fèmen baryè yo. Nou te pran tou yon bann lòt lavil ki pa t’ gen ranpa.
6 Nou detwi yo nèt pou Bondye tankou yon ofrann, menm jan nou te fè l’ pou Siyon, wa lavil Esbon an. Nou touye tout moun ki te nan lavil yo, fanm kou gason, timoun kou granmoun.
7 Men, nou pran tout zannimo yo ak tout lòt bagay ki gen valè nan lavil yo pou nou.
8 Se konsa, lè sa a, nou pran pou nou peyi tou de wa peyi Amori yo ki t’ap viv sou bò solèy leve, depi ravin Anon jouk mòn Emon, lòt bò larivyè Jouden an.
9 Moun Sidon yo rele mòn Emon an Siryon, men moun Amori yo menm rele l’ Seni.
10 Nou pran tout lavil ki nan gwo platon sou tèt mòn yo, tout peyi Galarad la ak peyi Bazan an rive jouk Salka ak Edreyi, de lavil ki te pou Og, wa Bazan an.
11 (Og, wa Bazan an, se te dènye moun nan ras refayim yo ki te vivan. Sèkèy li te fèt an fè, li te gen kat mèt edmi longè sou de mèt lajè. Yo ka wè l’ jouk koulye a nan lavil yo rele Raba moun Amon yo.)
12 Lè nou fin pran peyi a pou nou, mwen bay branch fanmi Woubenn lan ak branch fanmi Gad la pòsyon ki soti bò lavil Awoyè a, toupre ravin Anon, rive pran mwatye nan mòn Galarad la avèk tout lavil ki ladan yo.
13 Mwen bay mwatye nan branch fanmi Manase a rès zòn Galarad la ak tout peyi Bazan an, kote Og t’ap gouvènen an. (Dapre sa yo di, peyi Bazan an, tout zòn Agòb la, se peyi refayim yo.
14 Jayit, moun fanmi Manase, te pran tout zòn Agòb la, ki vle di peyi Bazan an rive jouk sou fwontyè peyi moun Jechou yo ak peyi moun Maka yo. Li bay peyi a non li. Li rele l’ Bouk Jayi. Non sa a rete pou peyi a jouk koulye a.)
15 Mwen bay Maki peyi Galarad la.
16 Mwen bay branch fanmi Woubenn ak branch fanmi Gad yo zòn ki soti depi peyi Galarad la rive ravin Anon. Sou nan sid, baliz peyi a pase nan mitan ravin Anon. Sou nan nò, peyi a rive rivyè Jabòk ki te sèvi l’ fwontyè ak peyi Amon an.
17 Sou bò solèy kouche, larivyè Jouden an, depi letan Kinerèt jouk lanmè Sale a, lanmè yo rele Araba a, va sèvi fwontyè ki va desann anba lanmè Sale a jouk nan pye mòn Pisga a bò solèy leve.
18 Menm lè sa a tou, mwen ba yo lòd sa yo: Seyè a, Bondye nou an, te ban nou peyi sa a pou nou rete! Koulye a, se pou tout gason ki gen laj pou fè lagè pran zam yo. Se pou yo janbe lòt bò larivyè Jouden an pran devan moun lòt branch fanmi nou yo.
19 Sèl moun n’a kite nan lavil mwen ban nou yo, se va madanm nou ak pitit nou yo ansanm ak bèt nou yo. Pou bèt, mwen konnen nou pa manke sa.
20 N’a ede rès moun pèp Izrayèl yo jouk Seyè a va fin ba yo pòsyon pa yo jan li deja fè l’ pou nou an, jouk y’a fin pran peyi Seyè a ap ba yo a lòt bò larivyè Jouden. Se lè sa a n’a tounen nan peyi mwen te chwazi pou m’ ban nou an.
21 Apre sa, mwen bay Jozye lòd sa a: Ou wè ak je ou tou sa Seyè a, Bondye nou an, te fè de wa peyi Amon yo. Se menm bagay la Seyè a ap fè wa tout peyi kote nou pral pase yo.
22 Nou pa bezwen pè yo menm. Se Seyè a menm, Bondye nou an, ki pral goumen pou nou.
23 Lè sa a atò, mwen mande Seyè a yon favè. Mwen di l’:
24 Seyè, Bondye mwen, se ou menm ki konmanse fè sèvitè ou la wè jan ou gen pouvwa, jan ou gen fòs kouraj. Pa gen lòt bondye ni nan syèl, ni sou latè ki ka fè tout gwo bagay w’ap fè yo.
25 Tanpri souple, kite m’ travèse lòt bò larivyè Jouden an pou m’ ka wè bèl peyi ki lòt bò a, bèl mòn sa yo ak peyi Liban an tou.
26 Men, se nou menm ki lakòz Seyè a te fache sou mwen, li refize tande m’. Li di m’ konsa: Ase la! Pa janm vin pale m’ bagay sa a ankò.
27 Moute sou tèt mòn Pisga a. Antan ou la, w’a voye je ou, w’a gade sou bò nò, sou bò sid, sou bò solèy kouche ak sou bò solèy leve. Louvri je ou. Gade byen, paske ou p’ap janm mete pwent pye ou lòt bò larivyè Jouden an.
28 Bay Jozye lòd tou sa pou li fè. Ankouraje l’. Ba li fòs kouraj, paske se li menm ki pral janbe lòt bò larivyè Jouden an alatèt pèp la. Se li menm ki pral fè yo pran peyi ou pral wè a pou yo.
29 Epi nou rete nan fon an, anfas lavil Bètpeyò.

1 Nous nous tournâmes, et nous montâmes par le chemin de Basan. Og, roi de Basan, sortit à notre rencontre, avec tout son peuple, pour nous combattre à Édréi.
2 L’Éternel me dit: Ne le crains point; car je le livre entre tes mains, lui et tout son peuple, et son pays; tu le traiteras comme tu as traité Sihon, roi des Amoréens, qui habitait à Hesbon.
3 Et l’Éternel, notre Dieu, livra encore entre nos mains Og, roi de Basan, avec tout son peuple; nous le battîmes, sans laisser échapper aucun de ses gens.
4 Nous prîmes alors toutes ses villes, et il n’y en eut pas une qui ne tombât en notre pouvoir: soixante villes, toute la contrée d’Argob, le royaume d’Og en Basan.
5 Toutes ces villes étaient fortifiées, avec de hautes murailles, des portes et des barres; il y avait aussi des villes sans murailles en très grand nombre.
6 Nous les dévouâmes par interdit, comme nous l’avions fait à Sihon, roi de Hesbon; nous dévouâmes toutes les villes par interdit, hommes, femmes et petits enfants.
7 Mais nous pillâmes pour nous tout le bétail et le butin des villes.
8 C’est ainsi que, dans ce temps-là, nous conquîmes sur les deux rois des Amoréens le pays de l’autre côté du Jourdain, depuis le torrent de l’Arnon jusqu’à la montagne de l’Hermon
9 (les Sidoniens donnent à l’Hermon le nom de Sirion, et les Amoréens celui de Senir,)
10 toutes les villes de la plaine, tout Galaad et tout Basan jusqu’à Salca et Édréi, villes du royaume d’Og en Basan.
11 (Og, roi de Basan, était resté seul de la race des Rephaïm. Voici, son lit, un lit de fer, n’est-il pas à Rabbath, ville des enfants d’Ammon? Sa longueur est de neuf coudées, et sa largeur de quatre coudées, en coudées d’homme.)
12 Nous prîmes alors possession de ce pays. Je donnai aux Rubénites et aux Gadites le territoire à partir d’Aroër sur le torrent de l’Arnon et la moitié de la montagne de Galaad avec ses villes.
13 Je donnai à la moitié de la tribu de Manassé le reste de Galaad et tout le royaume d’Og en Basan: toute la contrée d’Argob, avec tout Basan, c’est ce qu’on appelait le pays des Rephaïm.
14 Jaïr, fils de Manassé, prit toute la contrée d’Argob jusqu’à la frontière des Gueschuriens et des Maacathiens, et il donna son nom aux bourgs de Basan, appelés encore aujourd’hui bourgs de Jaïr.
15 Je donnai Galaad à Makir.
16 Aux Rubénites et aux Gadites je donnai une partie de Galaad jusqu’au torrent de l’Arnon, dont le milieu sert de limite, et jusqu’au torrent de Jabbok, frontière des enfants d’Ammon;
17 je leur donnai encore la plaine, limitée par le Jourdain, depuis Kinnéreth jusqu’à la mer de la plaine, la mer Salée, au pied du Pisga vers l’orient.
18 En ce temps-là, je vous donnai cet ordre. L’Éternel, votre Dieu, vous livre ce pays, pour que vous le possédiez. Vous tous, soldats, vous marcherez en armes devant les enfants d’Israël.
19 Vos femmes seulement, vos petits enfants et vos troupeaux-je sais que vous avez de nombreux troupeaux-resteront dans les villes que je vous ai donnée,
20 jusqu’à ce que l’Éternel ait accordé du repos à vos frères comme à vous, et qu’ils possèdent, eux aussi, le pays que l’Éternel, votre Dieu, leur donne de l’autre côté du Jourdain. Et vous retournerez chacun dans l’héritage que je vous ai donné.
21 En ce temps-là, je donnai des ordres à Josué, et je dis: Tes yeux ont vu tout ce que l’Éternel, votre Dieu, a fait à ces deux rois: ainsi fera l’Éternel à tous les royaumes contre lesquels tu vas marcher.
22 Ne les craignez point; car l’Éternel, votre Dieu, combattra lui-même pour vous.
23 En ce temps-là, j’implorai la miséricorde de l’Éternel, en disant:
24 Seigneur Éternel, tu as commencé à montrer à ton serviteur ta grandeur et ta main puissante; car quel dieu y a-t-il, au ciel et sur la terre, qui puisse imiter tes oeuvres et tes hauts faits?
25 Laisse-moi passer, je te prie, laisse-moi voir ce bon pays de l’autre côté du Jourdain, ces belles montagnes et le Liban.
26 Mais l’Éternel s’irrita contre moi, à cause de vous, et il ne m’écouta point. L’Éternel me dit: C’est assez, ne me parle plus de cette affaire.
27 Monte au sommet du Pisga, porte tes regards à l’occident, au nord, au midi et à l’orient, et contemple de tes yeux; car tu ne passeras pas ce Jourdain.
28 Donne des ordres à Josué, fortifie-le et affermis-le; car c’est lui qui marchera devant ce peuple et qui le mettra en possession du pays que tu verras.
29 Nous demeurâmes dans la vallée, vis-à-vis de Beth Peor.

Deuteronomy 3
1 Then we turned, and went up the way to Bashan: and Og the king of Bashan came out against us, he and all his people, to battle at Edrei.
2 And the Lord said unto me, Fear him not: for I will deliver him, and all his people, and his land, into thy hand; and thou shalt do unto him as thou didst unto Sihon king of the Amorites, which dwelt at Heshbon.
3 So the Lord our God delivered into our hands Og also, the king of Bashan, and all his people: and we smote him until none was left to him remaining.
4 And we took all his cities at that time, there was not a city which we took not from them, threescore cities, all the region of Argob, the kingdom of Og in Bashan.
5 All these cities were fenced with high walls, gates, and bars; beside unwalled towns a great many.
6 And we utterly destroyed them, as we did unto Sihon king of Heshbon, utterly destroying the men, women, and children, of every city.
7 But all the cattle, and the spoil of the cities, we took for a prey to ourselves.
8 And we took at that time out of the hand of the two kings of the Amorites the land that was on this side Jordan, from the river of Arnon unto mount Hermon;
9 (Which Hermon the Sidonians call Sirion; and the Amorites call it Shenir;)
10 All the cities of the plain, and all Gilead, and all Bashan, unto Salchah and Edrei, cities of the kingdom of Og in Bashan.
11 For only Og king of Bashan remained of the remnant of giants; behold his bedstead was a bedstead of iron; is it not in Rabbath of the children of Ammon? nine cubits was the length thereof, and four cubits the breadth of it, after the cubit of a man.
12 And this land, which we possessed at that time, from Aroer, which is by the river Arnon, and half mount Gilead, and the cities thereof, gave I unto the Reubenites and to the Gadites.
13 And the rest of Gilead, and all Bashan, being the kingdom of Og, gave I unto the half tribe of Manasseh; all the region of Argob, with all Bashan, which was called the land of giants.
14 Jair the son of Manasseh took all the country of Argob unto the coasts of Geshuri and Maachathi; and called them after his own name, Bashanhavothjair, unto this day.
15 And I gave Gilead unto Machir.
16 And unto the Reubenites and unto the Gadites I gave from Gilead even unto the river Arnon half the valley, and the border even unto the river Jabbok, which is the border of the children of Ammon;
17 The plain also, and Jordan, and the coast thereof, from Chinnereth even unto the sea of the plain, even the salt sea, under Ashdothpisgah eastward.
18 And I commanded you at that time, saying, The Lord your God hath given you this land to possess it: ye shall pass over armed before your brethren the children of Israel, all that are meet for the war.
19 But your wives, and your little ones, and your cattle, (for I know that ye have much cattle,) shall abide in your cities which I have given you;
20 Until the Lord have given rest unto your brethren, as well as unto you, and until they also possess the land which the Lord your God hath given them beyond Jordan: and then shall ye return every man unto his possession, which I have given you.
21 And I commanded Joshua at that time, saying, Thine eyes have seen all that the Lord your God hath done unto these two kings: so shall the Lord do unto all the kingdoms whither thou passest.
22 Ye shall not fear them: for the Lord your God he shall fight for you.
23 And I besought the Lord at that time, saying,
24 O Lord God, thou hast begun to shew thy servant thy greatness, and thy mighty hand: for what God is there in heaven or in earth, that can do according to thy works, and according to thy might?
25 I pray thee, let me go over, and see the good land that is beyond Jordan, that goodly mountain, and Lebanon.
26 But the Lord was wroth with me for your sakes, and would not hear me: and the Lord said unto me, Let it suffice thee; speak no more unto me of this matter.
27 Get thee up into the top of Pisgah, and lift up thine eyes westward, and northward, and southward, and eastward, and behold it with thine eyes: for thou shalt not go over this Jordan.
28 But charge Joshua, and encourage him, and strengthen him: for he shall go over before this people, and he shall cause them to inherit the land which thou shalt see.
29 So we abode in the valley over against Bethpeor.
