1 Apre, Pòl ale lavil Dèb epi l’ rive lavil List. Nan List te gen yon disip yo rele Timote. Manman l’ te yon jwif ki te kwè nan Jezi tou, men papa l’ te yon moun peyi Lagrès.
2 Frè ki t’ap viv nan List ak Ikoniòm yo te bay bon rapò pou Timote.
3 Pòl te vle mennen l’ avèk li. Li pran l’, li sikonsi l’ paske tout jwif ki te nan peyi a te konnen papa Timote te grèk.
4 Nan tout lavil kote yo pase yo te mete disip yo an konesans desizyon apòt yo ak ansyen yo te pran lavil Jerizalèm, yo t’ap mande yo pou yo te soumèt devan desizyon an.
5 Tout legliz yo t’ap vin pi fèm nan lafwa, chak jou yo t’ap gen plis moun toujou.
6 Sentespri pa t’ kite Pòl ak Timote al anonse pawòl Bondye a nan pwovens Lazi a. Se sak fè yo te pase nan zòn Friji ak zòn Galasi san rete.
7 Lè yo rive toupre lavil Mizi, yo te vle ale Bitini, men Lespri Jezi a pa t’ pèmèt yo fè sa.
8 Yo pase nan Mizi san rete, yo desann lavil Twoas.
9 Nan mitan lannwit, Pòl fè yon vizyon: li wè yon nonm ki te soti peyi Masedwan kanpe devan l’ ki t’ap di li: Tanpri, vin nan peyi Masedwan, vin pote nou sekou.
10 Apre Pòl te fè vizyon sa a, lamenm nou chache pou n’ ale peyi Masedwan. Nou te sèten se Bondye menm ki te rele nou pou n’ te al pote bon nouvèl la bay moun ki nan peyi sa a.
11 Nou pran batiman lavil Twoas, nou fè vwal tou dwat pou lil Samotras. Apre yon jou, nou rive lavil Neapolis.
12 Antan nou la, n’ al lavil Filip, premye lavil nan distrik Masedwan lan: Se te yonn nan koloni sou zòd lavil Wòm yo. Nou pase plizyè jou nan lavil sa a.
13 Jou repo a, nou soti, n’ al lòt bò pòtay lavil la bò larivyè a. Nou t’ap chache kote jwif yo te konn lapriyè a. Nou chita, nou t’ap pale ak fanm ki te sanble la yo.
14 Yonn ladan yo te rele Lidi. Se te moun lavil Tiyati, yon machann bèl twal koulè wouj yo vann byen chè a. Li te konvèti nan relijyon jwif yo. Li t’ap koute nou. Seyè a louvri lespri l’ pou l’ te swiv tou sa Pòl t’ap di.
15 Li resevwa batèm, li menm ansanm ak tout fanmi li. Apre sa, li envite nou vin lakay li. Li di nou: Se pou n’ vini, se pou n’ fè ladesant lakay mwen, si nou kwè mwen mete konfyans mwen tout bon nan Seyè a. Se konsa li fòse nou rete lakay li.
16 Yon jou nou tapral kote yo konn lapriyè a, nou kontre ak yon tifi. Se te yon sèvant, li te gen yon move lespri sou li ki te fè l’ konn pase kat pou moun. Lè konsa tifi a te fè mèt li yo fè anpil lajan.
17 Li tanmen swiv Pòl ak nou, li t’ap rele byen fò: Mesye sa yo se sèvitè Bondye ki anwo nan syèl la. Y’ap fè nou konnen chemen pou n’ pran pou n’ ka jwenn delivrans.
18 Li t’ap fè sa pandan plizyè jou. Pòl menm te bouke ak fi a. Li vire, li di lespri a: Nan non Jezikri, mwen ba ou lòd, soti sou fi a. Menm lè a, lespri a soti sou li.
19 Lè mèt sèvant lan wè yo te pèdi tout espwa fè lajan ak tifi a, yo mete men sou Pòl ak Silas, yo trennen yo sou plas piblik la devan otorite yo.
20 Yo mennen yo devan chèf lavil Wòm yo, epi yo di: Mesye sa yo ap fè dezòd nan lavil nou an. Se jwif yo ye.
21 Y’ap plede moutre moun yo yon bann bagay lalwa nou an pa pèmèt. Nou menm, se moun lavil Wòm nou ye, nou pa ka asepte fè bagay sa yo.
22 Foul moun yo te moute kont yo tou. Chèf women yo fè rache rad ki te sou Pòl ak Silas, epi yo bay lòd pou bat yo ak fwèt.
23 Apre yo fin bat yo byen bat, yo mete yo nan prizon. Yo bay chèf prizon an lòd pou veye mesye yo byen.
24 Lè l’ resevwa lòd sa a, chèf prizon an mete yo nan kacho ki jouk nan fon prizon an. Epi l’ mete pye yo nan sèp.
25 Vè menwi konsa, Pòl ak Silas t’ap lapriyè, yo t’ap chante fè lwanj pou Bondye. Lòt prizonye yo menm t’ap koute.
26 Epi, yo rete konsa, tè a pran tranble byen fò, li souke prizon an jouk nan fondasyon li. Menm lè a, tout pòt prizon yo louvri, chenn tout prizonye yo kase.
27 Chèf prizon an leve. Lè l’ wè tout pòt prizon yo louvri, li rale nepe l’, li tapral touye tèt li paske li te kwè prizonye yo te sove.
28 Men, Pòl kriye byen fò: Pa fè tèt ou mal. Nou tout la.
29 Lè chèf prizon tande sa, li mande yon chandèl, li kouri nan kacho a. Li lage kò l’ atè nan pye Pòl ak Silas. Li t’ap tranble kou yon fèy bwa tèlman li te pè.
30 Apre sa, li fè yo soti, li mande yo: Mesye, kisa m’ dwe fè pou m’ delivre?
31 Yo reponn li: Mete konfyans ou nan Seyè Jezi, epi wava delivre, ou menm ansanm ak tout fanmi ou.
32 Epi yo fè l’ konnen pawòl Seyè a, limenm ansanm ak tout moun ki te lakay li.
33 Menm lè a, nan mitan lannwit lan, li pran yo, li mete renmèd sou tout kote yo te blese. Lèfini, Pòl ak Silas batize l’ ansanm ak tout fanmi li.
34 Chèf prizon an fè yo moute lakay li, li ba yo manje. Nonm lan te kontan anpil ansanm ak tout fanmi l’ paske koulye a yo te kwè nan Bondye.
35 Lè solèy fin leve, chèf moun lavil Wòm yo voye gad di chèf prizon an: Lage mesye yo.
36 Chèf prizon an ale di Pòl: Chèf yo voye di pou yo lage nou. Nou mèt soti koulye a. Ale ak kè poze.
37 Men, Pòl di gad yo konsa: Gade non! Se sitwayen lavil Wòm nou ye wi. Yo bat nou devan tout moun san yo pa jije nou jan yo te dwe fè l’ la. Apre sa, yo mete nou nan prizon. Koulye a yo vle lage nou an kachèt. Non, nou pa nan sa. Se chèf moun lavil Wòm yo menm ki pou vin mete nou deyò.
38 Gad yo al rapòte pawòl sa yo bay chèf yo. Lè chèf yo tande se sitwayen lavil Wòm mesye yo te ye, yo soti pè.
39 Yo vin eskize yo bò kote apòt yo, yo lage yo. Lèfini yo mande yo pou kite lavil la.
40 Lè apòt yo soti nan prizon an, yo antre lakay Lidi. Yo wè frè yo, yo ba yo kèk pawòl ankourajman, epi yo pati, y’ ale.

Actes 16
1 Il se rendit ensuite à Derbe et à Lystre. Et voici, il y avait là un disciple nommé Timothée, fils d’une femme juive fidèle et d’un père grec.
2 Les frères de Lystre et d’Icone rendaient de lui un bon témoignage.
3 Paul voulut l’emmener avec lui; et, l’ayant pris, il le circoncit, à cause des Juifs qui étaient dans ces lieux-là, car tous savaient que son père était grec.
4 En passant par les villes, ils recommandaient aux frères d’observer les décisions des apôtres et des anciens de Jérusalem.
5 Les Églises se fortifiaient dans la foi, et augmentaient en nombre de jour en jour.
6 Ayant été empêchés par le Saint Esprit d’annoncer la parole dans l’Asie, ils traversèrent la Phrygie et le pays de Galatie.
7 Arrivés près de la Mysie, ils se disposaient à entrer en Bithynie; mais l’Esprit de Jésus ne le leur permit pas.
8 Ils franchirent alors la Mysie, et descendirent à Troas.
9 Pendant la nuit, Paul eut une vision: un Macédonien lui apparut, et lui fit cette prière: Passe en Macédoine, secours-nous!
10 Après cette vision de Paul, nous cherchâmes aussitôt à nous rendre en Macédoine, concluant que le Seigneur nous appelait à y annoncer la bonne nouvelle.
11 Étant partis de Troas, nous fîmes voile directement vers la Samothrace, et le lendemain nous débarquâmes à Néapolis.
12 De là nous allâmes à Philippes, qui est la première ville d’un district de Macédoine, et une colonie. Nous passâmes quelques jours dans cette ville.
13 Le jour du sabbat, nous nous rendîmes, hors de la porte, vers une rivière, où nous pensions que se trouvait un lieu de prière. Nous nous assîmes, et nous parlâmes aux femmes qui étaient réunies.
14 L’une d’elles, nommée Lydie, marchande de pourpre, de la ville de Thyatire, était une femme craignant Dieu, et elle écoutait. Le Seigneur lui ouvrit le coeur, pour qu’elle fût attentive à ce que disait Paul.
15 Lorsqu’elle eut été baptisée, avec sa famille, elle nous fit cette demande: Si vous me jugez fidèle au Seigneur, entrez dans ma maison, et demeurez-y. Et elle nous pressa par ses instances.
16 Comme nous allions au lieu de prière, une servante qui avait un esprit de Python, et qui, en devinant, procurait un grand profit à ses maîtres, vint au-devant de nous,
17 et se mit à nous suivre, Paul et nous. Elle criait: Ces hommes sont les serviteurs du Dieu Très Haut, et ils vous annoncent la voie du salut.
18 Elle fit cela pendant plusieurs jours. Paul fatigué se retourna, et dit à l’esprit: Je t’ordonne, au nom de Jésus Christ, de sortir d’elle. Et il sortit à l’heure même.
19 Les maîtres de la servante, voyant disparaître l’espoir de leur gain, se saisirent de Paul et de Silas, et les traînèrent sur la place publique devant les magistrats.
20 Ils les présentèrent aux préteurs, en disant: Ces hommes troublent notre ville;
21 ce sont des Juifs, qui annoncent des coutumes qu’il ne nous est permis ni de recevoir ni de suivre, à nous qui sommes Romains.
22 La foule se souleva aussi contre eux, et les préteurs, ayant fait arracher leurs vêtements, ordonnèrent qu’on les battît de verges.
23 Après qu’on les eut chargés de coups, ils les jetèrent en prison, en recommandant au geôlier de les garder sûrement.
24 Le geôlier, ayant reçu cet ordre, les jeta dans la prison intérieure, et leur mit les ceps aux pieds.
25 Vers le milieu de la nuit, Paul et Silas priaient et chantaient les louanges de Dieu, et les prisonniers les entendaient.
26 Tout à coup il se fit un grand tremblement de terre, en sorte que les fondements de la prison furent ébranlés; au même instant, toutes les portes s’ouvrirent, et les liens de tous les prisonniers furent rompus.
27 Le geôlier se réveilla, et, lorsqu’il vit les portes de la prison ouvertes, il tira son épée et allait se tuer, pensant que les prisonniers s’étaient enfuis.
28 Mais Paul cria d’une voix forte: Ne te fais point de mal, nous sommes tous ici.
29 Alors le geôlier, ayant demandé de la lumière, entra précipitamment, et se jeta tout tremblant aux pieds de Paul et de Silas;
30 il les fit sortir, et dit: Seigneurs, que faut-il que je fasse pour être sauvé?
31 Paul et Silas répondirent: Crois au Seigneur Jésus, et tu seras sauvé, toi et ta famille.
32 Et ils lui annoncèrent la parole du Seigneur, ainsi qu’à tous ceux qui étaient dans sa maison.
33 Il les prit avec lui, à cette heure même de la nuit, il lava leurs plaies, et aussitôt il fut baptisé, lui et tous les siens.
34 Les ayant conduits dans son logement, il leur servit à manger, et il se réjouit avec toute sa famille de ce qu’il avait cru en Dieu.
35 Quand il fit jour, les préteurs envoyèrent les licteurs pour dire au geôlier: Relâche ces hommes.
36 Et le geôlier annonça la chose à Paul: Les préteurs ont envoyé dire qu’on vous relâchât; maintenant donc sortez, et allez en paix.
37 Mais Paul dit aux licteurs: Après nous avoir battus de verges publiquement et sans jugement, nous qui sommes Romains, ils nous ont jetés en prison, et maintenant ils nous font sortir secrètement! Il n’en sera pas ainsi. Qu’ils viennent eux-mêmes nous mettre en liberté.
38 Les licteurs rapportèrent ces paroles aux préteurs, qui furent effrayés en apprenant qu’ils étaient Romains.
39 Ils vinrent les apaiser, et ils les mirent en liberté, en les priant de quitter la ville.
40 Quand ils furent sortis de la prison, ils entrèrent chez Lydie, et, après avoir vu et exhorté les frères, ils partirent.

1 Then came he to Derbe and Lystra: and, behold, a certain disciple was there, named Timotheus, the son of a certain woman, which was a Jewess, and believed; but his father was a Greek:
2 Which was well reported of by the brethren that were at Lystra and Iconium.
3 Him would Paul have to go forth with him; and took and circumcised him because of the Jews which were in those quarters: for they knew all that his father was a Greek.
4 And as they went through the cities, they delivered them the decrees for to keep, that were ordained of the apostles and elders which were at Jerusalem.
5 And so were the churches established in the faith, and increased in number daily.
6 Now when they had gone throughout Phrygia and the region of Galatia, and were forbidden of the Holy Ghost to preach the word in Asia,
7 After they were come to Mysia, they assayed to go into Bithynia: but the Spirit suffered them not.
8 And they passing by Mysia came down to Troas.
9 And a vision appeared to Paul in the night; There stood a man of Macedonia, and prayed him, saying, Come over into Macedonia, and help us.
10 And after he had seen the vision, immediately we endeavoured to go into Macedonia, assuredly gathering that the Lord had called us for to preach the gospel unto them.
11 Therefore loosing from Troas, we came with a straight course to Samothracia, and the next day to Neapolis;
12 And from thence to Philippi, which is the chief city of that part of Macedonia, and a colony: and we were in that city abiding certain days.
13 And on the sabbath we went out of the city by a river side, where prayer was wont to be made; and we sat down, and spake unto the women which resorted thither.
14 And a certain woman named Lydia, a seller of purple, of the city of Thyatira, which worshipped God, heard us: whose heart the Lord opened, that she attended unto the things which were spoken of Paul.
15 And when she was baptized, and her household, she besought us, saying, If ye have judged me to be faithful to the Lord, come into my house, and abide there. And she constrained us.
16 And it came to pass, as we went to prayer, a certain damsel possessed with a spirit of divination met us, which brought her masters much gain by soothsaying:
17 The same followed Paul and us, and cried, saying, These men are the servants of the most high God, which shew unto us the way of salvation.
18 And this did she many days. But Paul, being grieved, turned and said to the spirit, I command thee in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her. And he came out the same hour.
19 And when her masters saw that the hope of their gains was gone, they caught Paul and Silas, and drew them into the marketplace unto the rulers,
20 And brought them to the magistrates, saying, These men, being Jews, do exceedingly trouble our city,
21 And teach customs, which are not lawful for us to receive, neither to observe, being Romans.
22 And the multitude rose up together against them: and the magistrates rent off their clothes, and commanded to beat them.
23 And when they had laid many stripes upon them, they cast them into prison, charging the jailor to keep them safely:
24 Who, having received such a charge, thrust them into the inner prison, and made their feet fast in the stocks.
25 And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them.
26 And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one’s bands were loosed.
27 And the keeper of the prison awaking out of his sleep, and seeing the prison doors open, he drew out his sword, and would have killed himself, supposing that the prisoners had been fled.
28 But Paul cried with a loud voice, saying, Do thyself no harm: for we are all here.
29 Then he called for a light, and sprang in, and came trembling, and fell down before Paul and Silas,
30 And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved?
31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.
32 And they spake unto him the word of the Lord, and to all that were in his house.
33 And he took them the same hour of the night, and washed their stripes; and was baptized, he and all his, straightway.
34 And when he had brought them into his house, he set meat before them, and rejoiced, believing in God with all his house.
35 And when it was day, the magistrates sent the serjeants, saying, Let those men go.
36 And the keeper of the prison told this saying to Paul, The magistrates have sent to let you go: now therefore depart, and go in peace.
37 But Paul said unto them, They have beaten us openly uncondemned, being Romans, and have cast us into prison; and now do they thrust us out privily? nay verily; but let them come themselves and fetch us out.
38 And the serjeants told these words unto the magistrates: and they feared, when they heard that they were Romans.
39 And they came and besought them, and brought them out, and desired them to depart out of the city.
40 And they went out of the prison, and entered into the house of Lydia: and when they had seen the brethren, they comforted them, and departed.
