Amòs 1
1 Men mesaj Amòs, yonn nan gadò mouton lavil Tekoa a, te bay. Se bagay Bondye te fè l’ konnen sou pèp Izrayèl la, dezan anvan tranblemanntè a. Lè sa a, se Ozyas ki te wa nan peyi Jida, epi se Jewoboram, pitit Joas, ki te wa nan peyi Izrayèl.
2 Amòs di: -Seyè a rete sou mòn Siyon, l’ap gwonde. Li rete lavil Jerizalèm, li pale byen fò. Lamenm, savann mouton yo fennen. Zèb ki sou tèt mòn Kamèl la cheche.
3 Seyè a di konsa: Moun peyi Damas yo ap plede fè peche sou peche san rete. Mwen fin pran desizyon m’, mwen p’ap chanje lide. Yo maltrete moun peyi Galarad yo. Yo krabinen yo anba kout baton fè.
4 M’ap voye dife sou kay kote wa Azayèl rete a. Dife a ap boule gwo kay wa Bennadad la ra tè.
5 M’ap kraze pòtay lavil Damas la miyèt moso. M’ap disparèt moun ki rete nan Fon Avenn ansanm ak chèf ki kòmande lavil Betedenn lan. Y’a fè moun peyi Siri yo prizonye, y’a depòte yo nan peyi Kir. Se Seyè a menm ki di sa.
6 Seyè a di konsa: Moun lavil Gaza yo ap plede fè peche sou peche san rete. Mwen fin pran desizyon m’, mwen p’ap chanje lide. Yo depòte tout yon nasyon. Yo vann yo tankou esklav bay moun Edon yo.
7 M’ap voye dife sou miray lavil Gaza. L’ap boule gwo kay yo ra tè.
8 M’ap disparèt moun ki kòmande lavil Asdòd ansanm ak chèf ki rete nan lavil Askalon an. M’ap pini lavil Ekwon an. Tout rès moun Filisti yo pral mouri. Se Seyè a menm, Bondye a, ki di sa.
9 Seyè a di konsa: Moun peyi Tir yo ap plede fè peche sou peche san rete. Mwen fin pran desizyon m’, mwen p’ap chanje lide. Yo depòte tout yon nasyon. Yo vann yo tankou esklav bay moun Edon yo. Yo pa respekte kondisyon yo te pase pou yo viv yonn ak lòt tankou frè ak frè.
10 Se poutèt sa, m’ap voye dife sou miray lavil Tir. L’ap boule gwo kay li yo ra tè.
11 Seyè a di konsa: Moun lavil Edon yo ap plede fè peche sou peche san rete. Mwen fin pran desizyon m’, mwen p’ap chanje lide. Yo kouri dèyè frè yo ak nepe pou yo touye yo. Yo san pitye pou yo. Kòlè yo pa gen limit. Yo toujou kenbe yo nan kè yo.
12 Se poutèt sa, m’ap voye dife nan lavil Teman. L’a boule gwo kay lavil Bozra yo ra tè.
13 Seyè a di konsa: Moun lavil Amon yo ap plede fè peche sou peche san rete. Mwen fin pran desizyon m’, mwen p’ap chanje lide. Nan fè lagè pou yo ka gen plis tè, yo rive devantre fanm ansent peyi Galarad yo.
14 Se poutèt sa, m’ap limen yon dife sou miray lavil Raba. L’a boule gwo kay yo ra tè. Se lè sa a w’a tande rèl moun k’ap goumen nan lagè yo, tankou bri van siklòn k’ap pase.
15 Y’a fè wa yo ak tout chèf yo prizonye. Y’a depòte yo. Se Seyè a menm ki di sa.

Amos 1
1 Paroles d’Amos, l’un des bergers de Tekoa, visions qu’il eut sur Israël, au temps d’Ozias, roi de Juda, et au temps de Jéroboam, fils de Joas, roi d’Israël, deux ans avant le tremblement de terre.
2 Il dit: De Sion l’Éternel rugit, De Jérusalem il fait entendre sa voix. Les pâturages des bergers sont dans le deuil, Et le sommet du Carmel est desséché.
3 Ainsi parle l’Éternel: A cause de trois crimes de Damas, Même de quatre, je ne révoque pas mon arrêt, Parce qu’ils ont foulé Galaad sous des traîneaux de fer.
4 J’enverrai le feu dans la maison de Hazaël, Et il dévorera les palais de Ben Hadad.
5 Je briserai les verrous de Damas, J’exterminerai de Bikath Aven les habitants, Et de Beth Éden celui qui tient le sceptre; Et le peuple de Syrie sera mené captif à Kir, dit l’Éternel.
6 Ainsi parle l’Éternel: A cause de trois crimes de Gaza, Même de quatre, je ne révoque pas mon arrêt, Parce qu’ils ont fait une foule de captifs pour les livrer à Édom.
7 J’enverrai le feu dans les murs de Gaza, Et il en dévorera les palais.
8 J’exterminerai d’Asdod les habitants, Et d’Askalon celui qui tient le sceptre; Je tournerai ma main contre Ékron, Et le reste des Philistins périra, dit le Seigneur, l’Éternel.
9 Ainsi parle l’Éternel: A cause de trois crimes de Tyr, Même de quatre, je ne révoque pas mon arrêt, Parce qu’ils ont livré à Édom une foule de captifs, Sans se souvenir de l’alliance fraternelle.
10 J’enverrai le feu dans les murs de Tyr, Et il en dévorera les palais.
11 Ainsi parle l’Éternel: A cause de trois crimes d’Édom, Même de quatre, je ne révoque pas mon arrêt, Parce qu’il a poursuivi ses frères avec l’épée, En étouffant sa compassion, Parce que sa colère déchire toujours, Et qu’il garde éternellement sa fureur.
12 J’enverrai le feu dans Théman, Et il dévorera les palais de Botsra.
13 Ainsi parle l’Éternel: A cause de trois crimes des enfants d’Ammon, Même de quatre, je ne révoque pas mon arrêt, Parce qu’ils ont fendu le ventre des femmes enceintes de Galaad, Afin d’agrandir leur territoire.
14 J’allumerai le feu dans les murs de Rabba, Et il en dévorera les palais, Au milieu des cris de guerre au jour du combat, Au milieu de l’ouragan au jour de la tempête;
15 Et leur roi s’en ira en captivité, Lui, et ses chefs avec lui, dit l’Éternel.

Amos 1
1 The words of Amos, who was among the herdmen of Tekoa, which he saw concerning Israel in the days of Uzziah king of Judah, and in the days of Jeroboam the son of Joash king of Israel, two years before the earthquake.
2 And he said, The Lord will roar from Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem; and the habitations of the shepherds shall mourn, and the top of Carmel shall wither.
3 Thus saith the Lord; For three transgressions of Damascus, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they have threshed Gilead with threshing instruments of iron:
4 But I will send a fire into the house of Hazael, which shall devour the palaces of Benhadad.
5 I will break also the bar of Damascus, and cut off the inhabitant from the plain of Aven, and him that holdeth the sceptre from the house of Eden: and the people of Syria shall go into captivity unto Kir, saith the Lord.
6 Thus saith the Lord; For three transgressions of Gaza, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they carried away captive the whole captivity, to deliver them up to Edom:
7 But I will send a fire on the wall of Gaza, which shall devour the palaces thereof:
8 And I will cut off the inhabitant from Ashdod, and him that holdeth the sceptre from Ashkelon, and I will turn mine hand against Ekron: and the remnant of the Philistines shall perish, saith the Lord God.
9 Thus saith the Lord; For three transgressions of Tyrus, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they delivered up the whole captivity to Edom, and remembered not the brotherly covenant:
10 But I will send a fire on the wall of Tyrus, which shall devour the palaces thereof.
11 Thus saith the Lord; For three transgressions of Edom, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because he did pursue his brother with the sword, and did cast off all pity, and his anger did tear perpetually, and he kept his wrath for ever:
12 But I will send a fire upon Teman, which shall devour the palaces of Bozrah.
13 Thus saith the Lord; For three transgressions of the children of Ammon, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they have ripped up the women with child of Gilead, that they might enlarge their border:
14 But I will kindle a fire in the wall of Rabbah, and it shall devour the palaces thereof, with shouting in the day of battle, with a tempest in the day of the whirlwind:
15 And their king shall go into captivity, he and his princes together, saith the Lord.
