Sòm 34
1 Yon jou David te pran pòz moun fou li devan Abimelèk, pou Abimelèk te kite l’ ale. Se aprè sa David ekri sòm sa a. Se tout tan m’ap di Seyè a mesi, mwen p’ap janm sispann fè lwanj li.
2 M’ap fè lwanj li pou sa li te fè. Se pou tout moun ki anba tray tande sa pou yo ka fè kè yo kontan.
3 Mete tèt nou ansanm avè m’ pou fè konnen jan Seyè a gen pouvwa. Ann fè lwanj li ansanm!
4 Mwen te kriye nan pye Seyè a, li te reponn mwen. Li delivre m’ anba tout sa ki t’ap fè m’ pè yo.
5 Lè nou vire je nou gade l’, sa fè kè nou kontan. Nou p’ap janm wont.
6 Lè moun ki san sekou yo rele l’, li reponn yo, li delivre yo anba tout tray.
7 Zanj Seyè a kanpe bò kote tout moun ki gen krentif pou li, pou pwoteje yo. Li delivre yo lè yo nan danje.
8 Goute, n’a wè jan Seyè a bon! Ala bon sa bon pou moun ki jwenn pwoteksyon anba zèl li!
9 Nou tout pèp Seyè a, se pou nou gen krentif pou li, paske moun ki gen krentif pou li p’ap janm manke anyen.
10 Moun rich konn manke manje, yo konn rete grangou. Men, moun k’ap chache fè volonte Seyè a p’ap manke anyen.
11 Vini non, timoun mwen yo, koute sa m’ap di nou. M’a fè nou konnen ki jan pou nou gen krentif pou Seyè a.
12 Ki moun ki ta renmen jwi lavi? Ki moun ki ta renmen viv lontan ak kè kontan?
13 Se moun ki pa lage kò yo nan pale moun mal ni nan bay manti.
14 Sispann fè sa ki mal. Fè sa ki byen! Chache jan pou nou viv byen ak moun. Fè tou sa nou kapab pou nou viv byen ak tout moun.
15 Seyè a ap veye moun ki mache dwat devan l’ yo. L’ap koute yo lè y’ap rele nan pye l’.
16 Men, Seyè a vire do bay moun k’ap fè sa ki mal, pou pesonn sou latè pa janm chonje yo.
17 Lè moun ki mache dwat yo rele l’, li tande yo. Li wete yo anba tray.
18 Seyè a kanpe toupre moun ki dekouraje yo, li delivre tout moun ki te pèdi espwa.
19 Lè yon moun ap mache dwat, li gen pou l’ soufri anpil. Men, Seyè a ap delivre l’ anba tout soufrans li yo.
20 L’ap pwoteje l’ nèt ale. Pa yon ti zo nan kò l’ p’ap kraze.
21 Malè gen pou fini ak mechan yo. Moun ki pa vle wè moun k’ap mache dwat yo gen pou yo tonbe anba chatiman.
22 Seyè a ap delivre moun k’ap sèvi l’ yo, li p’ap kondannen okenn moun ki chache pwoteksyon bò kote l’.

Psaumes 34
1 De David. Lorsqu’il contrefit l’insensé en présence d’Abimélec, et qu’il s’en alla chassé par lui. Je bénirai l’Éternel en tout temps; Sa louange sera toujours dans ma bouche.
2 Que mon âme se glorifie en l’Éternel! Que les malheureux écoutent et se réjouissent!
3 Exaltez avec moi l’Éternel! Célébrons tous son nom!
4 J’ai cherché l’Éternel, et il m’a répondu; Il m’a délivré de toutes mes frayeurs.
5 Quand on tourne vers lui les regards, on est rayonnant de joie, Et le visage ne se couvre pas de honte.
6 Quand un malheureux crie, l’Éternel entend, Et il le sauve de toutes ses détresses.
7 L’ange de l’Éternel campe autour de ceux qui le craignent, Et il les arrache au danger.
8 Sentez et voyez combien l’Éternel est bon! Heureux l’homme qui cherche en lui son refuge!
9 Craignez l’Éternel, vous ses saints! Car rien ne manque à ceux qui le craignent.
10 Les lionceaux éprouvent la disette et la faim, Mais ceux qui cherchent l’Éternel ne sont privés d’aucun bien.
11 Venez, mes fils, écoutez-moi! Je vous enseignerai la crainte de l’Éternel.
12 Quel est l’homme qui aime la vie, Qui désire la prolonger pour jouir du bonheur?
13 Préserve ta langue du mal, Et tes lèvres des paroles trompeuses;
14 Éloigne-toi du mal, et fais le bien; Recherche et poursuis la paix.
15 Les yeux de l’Éternel sont sur les justes, Et ses oreilles sont attentives à leurs cris.
16 L’Éternel tourne sa face contre les méchants, Pour retrancher de la terre leur souvenir.
17 Quand les justes crient, l’Éternel entend, Et il les délivre de toutes leurs détresses;
18 L’Éternel est près de ceux qui ont le coeur brisé, Et il sauve ceux qui ont l’esprit dans l’abattement.
19 Le malheur atteint souvent le juste, Mais l’Éternel l’en délivre toujours.
20 Il garde tous ses os, Aucun d’eux n’est brisé.
21 Le malheur tue le méchant, Et les ennemis du juste sont châtiés.
22 L’Éternel délivre l’âme de ses serviteurs, Et tous ceux qui l’ont pour refuge échappent au châtiment.

Psalm 34
1 I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.
2 My soul shall make her boast in the Lord: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad.
3 O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together.
4 I sought the Lord, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.
5 They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed.
6 This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles.
7 The angel of the Lord encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.
8 O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.
9 O fear the Lord, ye his saints: for there is no want to them that fear him.
10 The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the Lord shall not want any good thing.
11 Come, ye children, hearken unto me: I will teach you the fear of the Lord.
12 What man is he that desireth life, and loveth many days, that he may see good?
13 Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile.
14 Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it.
15 The eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry.
16 The face of the Lord is against them that do evil, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth.
17 The righteous cry, and the Lord heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles.
18 The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.
19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the Lord delivereth him out of them all.
20 He keepeth all his bones: not one of them is broken.
21 Evil shall slay the wicked: and they that hate the righteous shall be desolate.
22 The Lord redeemeth the soul of his servants: and none of them that trust in him shall be desolate.
