Deteronòm 24
1 Si yon nonm marye ak yon fanm epi rive yon lè fanm lan pa fè l’ plezi ankò, paske li dekouvri nan fanm lan yon bagay ki pa byen, l’a ekri yon papye divòs bay fanm lan, epi l’a voye l’ tounen lakay papa l’.
2 Apre sa, si fanm lan kite kay papa l’, l’ al marye ak yon lòt gason,
3 sipoze dezyèm mari a tou ta rive pa vle wè l’, epi li ekri yon lèt divòs ba li, epi li voye l’ tounen lakay papa l’ ankò, osinon sipoze dezyèm mari a ta rive mouri,
4 lè sa a, premye mari a p’ap ka marye avè l’ ankò. Se pou li konsidere fanm lan tankou yon moun ki pa nan kondisyon pou sèvi Bondye. Paske si li marye avè l’ apre sa, l’ap fè yon bagay Seyè a pa vle wè. Piga nou rale madichon sou peyi Seyè a, Bondye nou an, ap ban nou pou rele nou pa nou an.
5 Si yon nonm fèk marye, li pa fèt pou l’ al nan lagè, ni yo pa bezwen mande l’ fè ankenn travay nan sèvis piblik pandan ennan. Konsa, pandan tan sa a, l’a lib pou l’ rete lakay li pou l’ fè kè madanm li kontan.
6 Lè n’ap prete yon moun lajan, nou pa gen dwa pran de wòl moulen li yo, pa menm yon sèl ladan yo, pou garanti. Si nou fè sa, se tankou si se te lavi moun lan menm nou te pran pou garanti.
7 Si yo bare yon moun pèp Izrayèl ap kenbe yon moun pèp Izrayèl parèy li pou fè l’ tounen esklav li osinon pou l’ vann li, se pou yo touye l’. Se konsa n’a wete bagay mal k’ap fèt nan mitan nou.
8 Lè gen yon ka move maladi po, se pou nou sèten yo fè tou sa moun Levi yo mande fè. Se pou nou swiv tout regleman mwen te ba yo sou sa.
9 Pa janm bliye sa Seyè a, Bondye nou an, te fè Miryam, lè nou t’ap soti kite peyi Lejip la.
10 Lè n’ap prete yon moun yon lajan sou garanti, nou pa gen dwa antre lakay li pou n’ al pran sa l’ap ban nou pou garanti a.
11 N’a rete deyò, n’a tann li pote garanti a ban nou deyò a.
12 Si se yon nonm ki pòv, pa kite rad li ban nou pou garanti a pase nwit lakay nou.
13 Se pou nou tounen l’ ba li lè solèy kouche, pou l’ ka mete l’ sou li lè l’ap dòmi. L’a genyen nou rekonesans, epi nou menm nou va fè yon bon zèv devan Seyè a, Bondye nou an.
14 Piga nou peze yon pòv malere k’ap travay pou lajan l’, li te mèt yon moun pèp Izrayèl parèy nou, li te mèt yon moun lòt nasyon k’ap viv nan peyi a nan yonn nan lavil nou yo.
15 Peye l’ lajan l’ chak jou, anvan solèy kouche, paske li pòv, li bezwen lajan an pou l’ viv. Konsa, li p’ap bezwen rele Seyè a pou nou. Men, si sa rive, se nou menm k’ap antò.
16 Nou pa gen dwa touye yon papa pou krim pitit li fè. Ni nou pa gen dwa touye yon pitit pou krim papa l’ te fè. Y’a touye yon moun pou krim li menm li fè.
17 Pa fè ankenn moun lòt nasyon k’ap viv nan mitan nou lenjistis. Respekte dwa timoun ki san papa. Pa pran rad yon vèv an garanti pou lajan nou prete l’.
18 Chonje nou menm tou nou te esklav nan peyi Lejip. Se Seyè a menm, Bondye nou an, ki te delivre nou. Se poutèt sa mwen mande nou pou nou swiv regleman sa a.
19 Lè n’ap ranmase rekòt ble nan jaden nou epi nou bliye ranmase kèk grap ki tonbe atè, pa tounen al pran yo. N’a kite yo pou moun lòt nasyon k’ap viv nan mitan nou, pou timoun san papa ak fanm ki pèdi mari yo. N’a fè sa pou Seyè a, Bondye nou an, ka beni nou nan tou sa n’ap fè.
20 Lè n’ap keyi grenn oliv, nou pa bezwen pase yon dezyèm fwa pou keyi sa ki te rete yo. N’a kite yo pou moun lòt nasyon k’ap viv nan mitan nou yo, pou timoun san papa ak pou fanm ki pèdi mari yo.
21 Lè nou fin koupe grap rezen nan jaden nou yo, pa tounen yon dezyèm fwa anba chak pye rezen pou repase branch yo. Sa ki va rete a, n’a kite yo pou moun lòt nasyon k’ap viv nan mitan nou yo, pou timoun ki san papa ak pou fanm ki pèdi mari yo.
22 Se pou nou toujou chonje yon lè nou te esklav nan peyi Lejip. Se poutèt sa mwen mande non pou nou swiv lòd mwen ban nou la a.

Deuteronome 24
1 Lorsqu’un homme aura pris et épousé une femme qui viendrait à ne pas trouver grâce à ses yeux, parce qu’il a découvert en elle quelque chose de honteux, il écrira pour elle une lettre de divorce, et, après la lui avoir remise en main, il la renverra de sa maison.
2 Elle sortira de chez lui, s’en ira, et pourra devenir la femme d’un autre homme.
3 Si ce dernier homme la prend en aversion, écrit pour elle une lettre de divorce, et, après la lui avoir remise en main, la renvoie de sa maison; ou bien, si ce dernier homme qui l’a prise pour femme vient à mourir,
4 alors le premier mari qui l’avait renvoyée ne pourra pas la reprendre pour femme après qu’elle a été souillée, car c’est une abomination devant l’Éternel, et tu ne chargeras point de péché le pays que l’Éternel, ton Dieu, te donne pour héritage.
5 Lorsqu’un homme sera nouvellement marié, il n’ira point à l’armée, et on ne lui imposera aucune charge; il sera exempté par raison de famille pendant un an, et il réjouira la femme qu’il a prise.
6 On ne prendra point pour gage les deux meules, ni la meule de dessus; car ce serait prendre pour gage la vie même.
7 Si l’on trouve un homme qui ait dérobé l’un de ses frères, l’un des enfants d’Israël, qui en ait fait son esclave ou qui l’ait vendu, ce voleur sera puni de mort. Tu ôteras ainsi le mal du milieu de toi.
8 Prends garde à la plaie de la lèpre, afin de bien observer et de faire tout ce que vous enseigneront les sacrificateurs, les Lévites; vous aurez soin d’agir d’après les ordres que je leur ai donnés.
9 Souviens-toi de ce que l’Éternel, ton Dieu, fit à Marie pendant la route, lors de votre sortie d’Égypte.
10 Si tu fais à ton prochain un prêt quelconque, tu n’entreras point dans sa maison pour te saisir de son gage;
11 tu resteras dehors, et celui à qui tu fais le prêt t’apportera le gage dehors.
12 Si cet homme est pauvre, tu ne te coucheras point, en retenant son gage;
13 tu le lui rendras au coucher du soleil, afin qu’il couche dans son vêtement et qu’il te bénisse; et cela te sera imputé à justice devant l’Éternel, ton Dieu.
14 Tu n’opprimeras point le mercenaire, pauvre et indigent, qu’il soit l’un de tes frères, ou l’un des étrangers demeurant dans ton pays, dans tes portes.
15 Tu lui donneras le salaire de sa journée avant le coucher du soleil; car il est pauvre, et il lui tarde de le recevoir. Sans cela, il crierait à l’Éternel contre toi, et tu te chargerais d’un péché.
16 On ne fera point mourir les pères pour les enfants, et l’on ne fera point mourir les enfants pour les pères; on fera mourir chacun pour son péché.
17 Tu ne porteras point atteinte au droit de l’étranger et de l’orphelin, et tu ne prendras point en gage le vêtement de la veuve.
18 Tu te souviendras que tu as été esclave en Égypte, et que l’Éternel, ton Dieu, t’a racheté; c’est pourquoi je te donne ces commandements à mettre en pratique.
19 Quand tu moissonneras ton champ, et que tu auras oublié une gerbe dans le champ, tu ne retourneras point la prendre: elle sera pour l’étranger, pour l’orphelin et pour la veuve, afin que l’Éternel, ton Dieu, te bénisse dans tout le travail de tes mains.
20 Quand tu secoueras tes oliviers, tu ne cueilleras point ensuite les fruits restés aux branches: ils seront pour l’étranger, pour l’orphelin et pour la veuve.
21 Quand tu vendangeras ta vigne, tu ne cueilleras point ensuite les grappes qui y seront restées: elles seront pour l’étranger, pour l’orphelin et pour la veuve.
22 Tu te souviendras que tu as été esclave dans le pays d’Égypte; c’est pourquoi je te donne ces commandements à mettre en pratique.

Deuteronomy 24
1 When a man hath taken a wife, and married her, and it come to pass that she find no favour in his eyes, because he hath found some uncleanness in her: then let him write her a bill of divorcement, and give it in her hand, and send her out of his house.
2 And when she is departed out of his house, she may go and be another man’s wife.
3 And if the latter husband hate her, and write her a bill of divorcement, and giveth it in her hand, and sendeth her out of his house; or if the latter husband die, which took her to be his wife;
4 Her former husband, which sent her away, may not take her again to be his wife, after that she is defiled; for that is abomination before the Lord: and thou shalt not cause the land to sin, which the Lord thy God giveth thee for an inheritance.
5 When a man hath taken a new wife, he shall not go out to war, neither shall he be charged with any business: but he shall be free at home one year, and shall cheer up his wife which he hath taken.
6 No man shall take the nether or the upper millstone to pledge: for he taketh a man’s life to pledge.
7 If a man be found stealing any of his brethren of the children of Israel, and maketh merchandise of him, or selleth him; then that thief shall die; and thou shalt put evil away from among you.
8 Take heed in the plague of leprosy, that thou observe diligently, and do according to all that the priests the Levites shall teach you: as I commanded them, so ye shall observe to do.
9 Remember what the Lord thy God did unto Miriam by the way, after that ye were come forth out of Egypt.
10 When thou dost lend thy brother any thing, thou shalt not go into his house to fetch his pledge.
11 Thou shalt stand abroad, and the man to whom thou dost lend shall bring out the pledge abroad unto thee.
12 And if the man be poor, thou shalt not sleep with his pledge:
13 In any case thou shalt deliver him the pledge again when the sun goeth down, that he may sleep in his own raiment, and bless thee: and it shall be righteousness unto thee before the Lord thy God.
14 Thou shalt not oppress an hired servant that is poor and needy, whether he be of thy brethren, or of thy strangers that are in thy land within thy gates:
15 At his day thou shalt give him his hire, neither shall the sun go down upon it; for he is poor, and setteth his heart upon it: lest he cry against thee unto the Lord, and it be sin unto thee.
16 The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, neither shall the children be put to death for the fathers: every man shall be put to death for his own sin.
17 Thou shalt not pervert the judgment of the stranger, nor of the fatherless; nor take a widow’s raiment to pledge:
18 But thou shalt remember that thou wast a bondman in Egypt, and the Lord thy God redeemed thee thence: therefore I command thee to do this thing.
19 When thou cuttest down thine harvest in thy field, and hast forgot a sheaf in the field, thou shalt not go again to fetch it: it shall be for the stranger, for the fatherless, and for the widow: that the Lord thy God may bless thee in all the work of thine hands.
20 When thou beatest thine olive tree, thou shalt not go over the boughs again: it shall be for the stranger, for the fatherless, and for the widow.
21 When thou gatherest the grapes of thy vineyard, thou shalt not glean it afterward: it shall be for the stranger, for the fatherless, and for the widow.
22 And thou shalt remember that thou wast a bondman in the land of Egypt: therefore I command thee to do this thing.
