Egzòd 23
1 Piga nou fè manti sou frè parèy nou. Lè n’ap sèvi temwen, piga nou bay manti pou ede yon mechan.
2 Pa konprann pou nou fè sa ki mal paske nou wè se sa tout moun ap fè. Lè n’ap sèvi temwen nan yon pwose, piga nou pran pati pou bò ki gen plis moun lan lè nou konnen se yo ki antò.
3 Konsa tou, lè gen pwose, se pa paske yon moun pòv pou nou pran pati pou li.
4 Si nou pa byen ak yon moun, epi nou jwenn bèf li osinon bourik li ki kase kòd, se pou nou mennen l’ ba li.
5 Si nou pa byen ak yon moun, epi nou wè bourik li kouche anba yon chay, pa vire do nou kite l’ pou kont li. Se pou nou ede l’ fè bourik la kanpe.
6 Lè yon malere nan pwose, pa anpeche yo fè l’ jistis.
7 Evite fè manti sou moun pou akize yo. Moun inonsan ak moun ki nan dwa yo, piga nou fè touye yo, paske mwen p’ap padonnen moun ki fè bagay konsa.
8 Lè n’ap sèvi temwen nan yon kòz, pa pran lajan anba nan men moun, paske lajan konsa bouche je nou, li fè nou pa wè kote jistis la ye. Li fè moun ki pa antò a pèdi kòz li.
9 Piga nou aji mal ak moun lòt nasyon k’ap viv nan peyi a. Paske, nou menm tou, yon lè, nou te etranje nan peyi Lejip, kifè nou konnen sa ki rele viv nan lòt peyi.
10 Pandan sizan n’a travay tè a, epi n’a ranmase sa li bay.
11 Men, sou setyèm lanne a, n’a kite tè a poze. Menm si li bay kichòy, nou p’ap ranmase anyen sou li. N’a kite rekòt la pou pòv malere yo. Rès la va rete pou bèt nan bwa manje. N’a fè menm bagay la tou pou jaden rezen ak jaden oliv nou yo.
12 N’a travay sis jou. Men setyèm jou a, n’a sispann travay, n’a pran repo. Konsa, bèf nou yo ak bourik nou yo, moun k’ap sèvi avèk nou yo ansanm ak etranje ki lakay nou yo va ka pran repo tou.
13 Se pou nou swiv tou sa mwen sot di nou la a. Pa lapriyè lòt bondye, piga mwen tande non yo soti nan bouch nou.
14 Twa fwa chak lanne, n’a fè fèt pou mwen.
15 N’a fè fèt Pen san ledven yo. Jan mwen te ban nou lòd la, n’a manje pen san ledven pandan sèt jou nan epòk yo fikse nan mwa Abib la. Paske se nan mwa sa a nou te soti kite peyi Lejip. Lè sa a, nou p’ap gen dwa parèt devan m’ de men vid.
16 Apre sa, n’a fete fèt Premye Rekòt la lè nou fèk konmanse rekòlte grenn nou simen nan jaden nou yo. N’a fete fèt Dènye Rekòt la menm vè fen lanne a, lè n’ap fin rekòlte tou sa ki nan jaden nou yo.
17 Twa fwa chak lanne, tout gason nan pèp la va parèt devan mwen menm Seyè a, Bondye a.
18 Lè n’ap touye yon bèt pou mwen, piga nou ofri san an ansanm ak pen ki fèt ak ledven. Piga nou sere grès bèt la tout lannwit jouk denmen maten.
19 N’a pran pi bèl fwi nan premye rekòt jaden nou, n’a pote yo bay Seyè a, Bondye nou an, lakay li, Piga ou kwit yon ti kabrit nan lèt manman li.
20 Men m’ap voye yonn nan zanj mwen yo devan nou pou pwoteje nou sou wout la, pou l’ fè nou rive san danje kote mwen pare pou nou an.
21 Veye kò nou devan li. Koute sa l’ap di nou. Pa kenbe tèt avè l’. Si nou fè sa, li p’ap padonnen nou sa paske se nan non mwen l’ap fè tou sa l’ap fè a.
22 Men, si nou koute sa li di nou, si nou fè tou sa mwen di nou fè, m’ap rayi moun ki rayi nou, mwen p’ap vle wè moun ki pa vle wè nou.
23 Zanj mwen an va mache devan nou, l’ap mennen nou nan peyi moun Amori yo, peyi moun Et yo, peyi moun Ferezi yo, peyi moun Kanaran yo, peyi moun Evi yo ak peyi moun Jebis yo. M’ap detwi yo tout.
24 Piga nou mete ajenou devan bondye lòt nasyon yo. Piga nou janm sèvi yo. Pa fè menm jan ak moun lòt nasyon yo. Se pou nou detwi bondye yo nèt, se pou nou kraze tout moniman yo fè pou yo.
25 Se mwen menm Seyè a, Bondye nou an, pou nou sèvi. M’ap beni nou, m’ap ban nou manje pou n’ manje, dlo pou nou bwè. Mwen p’ap kite maladi tonbe sou nou.
26 Nan peyi nou an p’ap gen fanm k’ap fè foskouch, ni fanm ki p’ap ka fè pitit. M’ap kite nou viv jouk nou fin granmoun.
27 M’ap fè tout moun pè nou. Kote nou pase, m’ap fè moun pèdi tèt yo. M’ap fè tout lènmi nou yo pran rak devan nou.
28 m’a voye gwo gèp devan nou, y’a fè moun Evi yo, moun Kanaran yo ak moun Et yo kouri byen lwen nou.
29 Mwen p’ap fè yo ale tout ansanm yon sèl kou, yon sèl lanne, pou peyi a pa tounen savann, pou bèt nan bwa yo pa vin twòp pou nou.
30 Men, piti piti m’ap mete yo deyò, jouk n’a gen plis moun pou nou ka pran tout peyi a pou nou.
31 M’ap fè fwontyè peyi nou an konmanse depi sou lanmè Wouj la rive jouk sou lanmè Mediterane, depi sou dezè a al bat sou larivyè Lefrat la. M’ap lage tout moun nan peyi a anba men nou, n’ap chase yo met deyò devan nou.
32 Piga nou pase ankenn kontra ak moun sa yo, ni ak bondye yo.
33 Se pa pou yo rete nan peyi nou an, pou yo pa ankouraje nou fè peche kont mwen. Si nou sèvi bondye moun sa yo, sa ka yon malè pou nou.

Exode 23
1 Tu ne répandras point de faux bruit. Tu ne te joindras point au méchant pour faire un faux témoignage.
2 Tu ne suivras point la multitude pour faire le mal; et tu ne déposeras point dans un procès en te mettant du côté du grand nombre, pour violer la justice.
3 Tu ne favoriseras point le pauvre dans son procès.
4 Si tu rencontres le boeuf de ton ennemi ou son âne égaré, tu le lui ramèneras.
5 Si tu vois l’âne de ton ennemi succombant sous sa charge, et que tu hésites à le décharger, tu l’aideras à le décharger.
6 Tu ne porteras point atteinte au droit du pauvre dans son procès.
7 Tu ne prononceras point de sentence inique, et tu ne feras point mourir l’innocent et le juste; car je n’absoudrai point le coupable.
8 Tu ne recevras point de présent; car les présents aveuglent ceux qui ont les yeux ouverts et corrompent les paroles des justes.
9 Tu n’opprimeras point l’étranger; vous savez ce qu’éprouve l’étranger, car vous avez été étrangers dans le pays d’Égypte.
10 Pendant six années, tu ensemenceras la terre, et tu en recueilleras le produit.
11 Mais la septième, tu lui donneras du relâche et tu la laisseras en repos; les pauvres de ton peuple en jouiront, et les bêtes des champs mangeront ce qui restera. Tu feras de même pour ta vigne et pour tes oliviers.
12 Pendant six jours, tu feras ton ouvrage. Mais le septième jour, tu te reposeras, afin que ton boeuf et ton âne aient du repos, afin que le fils de ton esclave et l’étranger aient du relâche.
13 Vous observerez tout ce que je vous ai dit, et vous ne prononcerez point le nom d’autres dieux: qu’on ne l’entende point sortir de votre bouche.
14 Trois fois par année, tu célébreras des fêtes en mon honneur.
15 Tu observeras la fête des pains sans levain; pendant sept jours, au temps fixé dans le mois des épis, tu mangeras des pains sans levain, comme je t’en ai donné l’ordre, car c’est dans ce mois que tu es sorti d’Égypte; et l’on ne se présentera point à vide devant ma face.
16 Tu observeras la fête de la moisson, des prémices de ton travail, de ce que tu auras semé dans les champs; et la fête de la récolte, à la fin de l’année, quand tu recueilleras des champs le fruit de ton travail.
17 Trois fois par année, tous les mâles se présenteront devant le Seigneur, l’Éternel.
18 Tu n’offriras point avec du pain levé le sang de la victime sacrifiée en mon honneur; et sa graisse ne sera point gardée pendant la nuit jusqu’au matin.
19 Tu apporteras à la maison de l’Éternel, ton Dieu, les prémices des premiers fruits de la terre. Tu ne feras point cuire un chevreau dans le lait de sa mère.
20 Voici, j’envoie un ange devant toi, pour te protéger en chemin, et pour te faire arriver au lieu que j’ai préparé.
21 Tiens-toi sur tes gardes en sa présence, et écoute sa voix; ne lui résiste point, parce qu’il ne pardonnera pas vos péchés, car mon nom est en lui.
22 Mais si tu écoutes sa voix, et si tu fais tout ce que je te dirai, je serai l’ennemi de tes ennemis et l’adversaire de tes adversaires.
23 Mon ange marchera devant toi, et te conduira chez les Amoréens, les Héthiens, les Phéréziens, les Cananéens, les Héviens et les Jébusiens, et je les exterminerai.
24 Tu ne te prosterneras point devant leurs dieux, et tu ne les serviras point; tu n’imiteras point ces peuples dans leur conduite, mais tu les détruiras, et tu briseras leurs statues.
25 Vous servirez l’Éternel, votre Dieu, et il bénira votre pain et vos eaux, et j’éloignerai la maladie du milieu de toi.
26 Il n’y aura dans ton pays ni femme qui avorte, ni femme stérile. Je remplirai le nombre de tes jours.
27 J’enverrai ma terreur devant toi, je mettrai en déroute tous les peuples chez lesquels tu arriveras, et je ferai tourner le dos devant toi à tous tes ennemis.
28 J’enverrai les frelons devant toi, et ils chasseront loin de ta face les Héviens, les Cananéens et les Héthiens.
29 Je ne les chasserai pas en une seule année loin de ta face, de peur que le pays ne devienne un désert et que les bêtes des champs ne se multiplient contre toi.
30 Je les chasserai peu à peu loin de ta face, jusqu’à ce que tu augmentes en nombre et que tu puisses prendre possession du pays.
31 J’établirai tes limites depuis la mer Rouge jusqu’à la mer des Philistins, et depuis le désert jusqu’au fleuve; car je livrerai entre vos mains les habitants du pays, et tu les chasseras devant toi.
32 Tu ne feras point d’alliance avec eux, ni avec leurs dieux.
33 Ils n’habiteront point dans ton pays, de peur qu’ils ne te fassent pécher contre moi; car tu servirais leurs dieux, et ce serait un piège pour toi.

1 Thou shalt not raise a false report: put not thine hand with the wicked to be an unrighteous witness.
2 Thou shalt not follow a multitude to do evil; neither shalt thou speak in a cause to decline after many to wrest judgment:
3 Neither shalt thou countenance a poor man in his cause.
4 If thou meet thine enemy’s ox or his ass going astray, thou shalt surely bring it back to him again.
5 If thou see the ass of him that hateth thee lying under his burden, and wouldest forbear to help him, thou shalt surely help with him.
6 Thou shalt not wrest the judgment of thy poor in his cause.
7 Keep thee far from a false matter; and the innocent and righteous slay thou not: for I will not justify the wicked.
8 And thou shalt take no gift: for the gift blindeth the wise, and perverteth the words of the righteous.
9 Also thou shalt not oppress a stranger: for ye know the heart of a stranger, seeing ye were strangers in the land of Egypt.
10 And six years thou shalt sow thy land, and shalt gather in the fruits thereof:
11 But the seventh year thou shalt let it rest and lie still; that the poor of thy people may eat: and what they leave the beasts of the field shall eat. In like manner thou shalt deal with thy vineyard, and with thy oliveyard.
12 Six days thou shalt do thy work, and on the seventh day thou shalt rest: that thine ox and thine ass may rest, and the son of thy handmaid, and the stranger, may be refreshed.
13 And in all things that I have said unto you be circumspect: and make no mention of the name of other gods, neither let it be heard out of thy mouth.
14 Three times thou shalt keep a feast unto me in the year.
15 Thou shalt keep the feast of unleavened bread: (thou shalt eat unleavened bread seven days, as I commanded thee, in the time appointed of the month Abib; for in it thou camest out from Egypt: and none shall appear before me empty:)
16 And the feast of harvest, the firstfruits of thy labours, which thou hast sown in the field: and the feast of ingathering, which is in the end of the year, when thou hast gathered in thy labours out of the field.
17 Three times in the year all thy males shall appear before the Lord God.
18 Thou shalt not offer the blood of my sacrifice with leavened bread; neither shall the fat of my sacrifice remain until the morning.
19 The first of the firstfruits of thy land thou shalt bring into the house of the Lord thy God. Thou shalt not seethe a kid in his mother’s milk.
20 Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared.
21 Beware of him, and obey his voice, provoke him not; for he will not pardon your transgressions: for my name is in him.
22 But if thou shalt indeed obey his voice, and do all that I speak; then I will be an enemy unto thine enemies, and an adversary unto thine adversaries.
23 For mine Angel shall go before thee, and bring thee in unto the Amorites, and the Hittites, and the Perizzites, and the Canaanites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites: and I will cut them off.
24 Thou shalt not bow down to their gods, nor serve them, nor do after their works: but thou shalt utterly overthrow them, and quite break down their images.
25 And ye shall serve the Lord your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee.
26 There shall nothing cast their young, nor be barren, in thy land: the number of thy days I will fulfil.
27 I will send my fear before thee, and will destroy all the people to whom thou shalt come, and I will make all thine enemies turn their backs unto thee.
28 And I will send hornets before thee, which shall drive out the Hivite, the Canaanite, and the Hittite, from before thee.
29 I will not drive them out from before thee in one year; lest the land become desolate, and the beast of the field multiply against thee.
30 By little and little I will drive them out from before thee, until thou be increased, and inherit the land.
31 And I will set thy bounds from the Red sea even unto the sea of the Philistines, and from the desert unto the river: for I will deliver the inhabitants of the land into your hand; and thou shalt drive them out before thee.
32 Thou shalt make no covenant with them, nor with their gods.
33 They shall not dwell in thy land, lest they make thee sin against me: for if thou serve their gods, it will surely be a snare unto thee.
