1 Apre sa, David atake moun Filisti yo ankò. Li bat yo byen bat. Se konsa li pran lavil Gat ak tout ti bouk ki te sou lòd li yo, nan men moun Filisti yo.
2 Lèfini, li bat moun peyi Moab yo. Moun Moab yo soumèt devan David. Li fè yo peye taks ba li chak lè.
3 Apre sa, li bat Adadezè, wa peyi Zoba a, ki t’ap mache pran zòn ki sou anwo larivyè Lefrat la.
4 David pran mil (1.000) cha lagè, sèt mil (7.000) kavalye nan lame wa Adadezè a, li fè yo prizonye ansanm ak venmil (20.000) sòlda ki t’ap mache apye. Lè li fin wete kont chwal pou san (100) cha lagè, li fè koupe jarèt tout rès chwal yo.
5 Moun Siri lavil Damas yo voye yon lame pou pote Adadezè, wa peyi Zoba a, konkou. David atake yo, li bat yo tou. Li touye venndemil (22.000) sòlda.

8 Li pran yon gwo kantite kwiv li te jwenn lavil Tiba ak lavil Koun ki te pou Adadezè. Se ak kwiv sa yo Salomon te fè gwo basen lan, poto won yo ak lòt veso an kwiv pou Tanp lan.
9 Lè Towou, wa lavil Amat la, tande jan David te kraze tout lame Adadezè a,
10 li voye pitit li, Adouram al wè David pou di l’ bonjou, epi pou fe l’ konpliman deske li te bat Adadezè, paske Towou te toutan ap fè lagè ak Adadezè. Adouram te pote kado fèt an lò, an ajan ak an kwiv bay David.
11 Wa David pran tout bagay sa yo, li mete yo apa pou sèvis Seyè a, ansanm ak tout lò ak tout ajan li te pran lakay moun lòt nasyon li te fè soumèt devan li, ki vle di moun peyi Edon, moun peyi Moab, moun peyi Amon, moun peyi Filisti ak moun peyi Amalèk.
12 Apre sa, Abichayi, pitit gason Sewouja a, touye dizwitmil (18.000) moun peyi Edon nan Fon Sèl la.
13 Li mete kèk ganizon sòlda nan teritwa Edon an. Tout moun Edon yo soumèt devan David. Se konsa, Seyè a te fè David genyen tout batay kote l’ pase.
14 David t’ap gouvènen tout pèp Izrayèl la. Li te fè tout moun jistis san patipri. Li te fè tout afè l’ dwat.

16 Zadòk, pitit gason Akitoub, ak Akimelèk, pitit gason Abyata a, te prèt. Chaoucha te sekretè.

1 Après cela, David battit les Philistins et les humilia, et il enleva de la main des Philistins Gath et les villes de son ressort.
2 Il battit les Moabites, et les Moabites furent assujettis à David et lui payèrent un tribut.
3 David battit Hadarézer, roi de Tsoba, vers Hamath, lorsqu’il alla établir sa domination sur le fleuve de l’Euphrate.
4 David lui prit mille chars, sept mille cavaliers, et vingt mille hommes de pied; il coupa les jarrets à tous les chevaux de trait, et ne conserva que cent attelages.
5 Les Syriens de Damas vinrent au secours d’Hadarézer, roi de Tsoba, et David battit vingt-deux mille Syriens.
6 David mit des garnisons dans la Syrie de Damas. Et les Syriens furent assujettis à David, et lui payèrent un tribut. L’Éternel protégeait David partout où il allait.
7 Et David prit les boucliers d’or qu’avaient les serviteurs d’Hadarézer, et les apporta à Jérusalem.
8 David prit encore une grande quantité d’airain à Thibchath et à Cun, villes d’Hadarézer. Salomon en fit la mer d’airain, les colonnes et les ustensiles d’airain.
9 Thohu, roi de Hamath, apprit que David avait battu toute l’armée d’Hadarézer, roi de Tsoba,
10 et il envoya Hadoram, son fils, vers le roi David, pour le saluer, et pour le féliciter d’avoir attaqué Hadarézer et de l’avoir battu. Car Thohu était en guerre avec Hadarézer. Il envoya aussi toutes sortes de vases d’or, d’argent et d’airain.
11 Le roi David les consacra à l’Éternel, avec l’argent et l’or qu’il avait pris sur toutes les nations, sur Édom, sur Moab, sur les fils d’Ammon, sur les Philistins et sur Amalek.
12 Abischaï, fils de Tseruja, battit dans la vallée du sel dix-huit mille Édomites.
13 Il mit des garnisons dans Édom, et tout Édom fut assujetti à David. L’Éternel protégeait David partout où il allait.
14 David régna sur tout Israël, et il faisait droit et justice à tout son peuple.
15 Joab, fils de Tseruja, commandait l’armée; Josaphat, fils d’Achilud, était archiviste;
16 Tsadok, fils d’Achithub, et Abimélec, fils d’Abiathar, étaient sacrificateurs; Schavscha était secrétaire;
17 Benaja, fils de Jehojada, était chef des Kéréthiens et des Péléthiens; et les fils de David étaient les premiers auprès du roi.

1 Now after this it came to pass, that David smote the Philistines, and subdued them, and took Gath and her towns out of the hand of the Philistines.
2 And he smote Moab; and the Moabites became David’s servants, and brought gifts.
3 And David smote Hadarezer king of Zobah unto Hamath, as he went to stablish his dominion by the river Euphrates.
4 And David took from him a thousand chariots, and seven thousand horsemen, and twenty thousand footmen: David also houghed all the chariot horses, but reserved of them an hundred chariots.
5 And when the Syrians of Damascus came to help Hadarezer king of Zobah, David slew of the Syrians two and twenty thousand men.
6 Then David put garrisons in Syriadamascus; and the Syrians became David’s servants, and brought gifts. Thus the Lord preserved David whithersoever he went.
7 And David took the shields of gold that were on the servants of Hadarezer, and brought them to Jerusalem.
8 Likewise from Tibhath, and from Chun, cities of Hadarezer, brought David very much brass, wherewith Solomon made the brasen sea, and the pillars, and the vessels of brass.
9 Now when Tou king of Hamath heard how David had smitten all the host of Hadarezer king of Zobah;
10 He sent Hadoram his son to king David, to enquire of his welfare, and to congratulate him, because he had fought against Hadarezer, and smitten him; (for Hadarezer had war with Tou;) and with him all manner of vessels of gold and silver and brass.
11 Them also king David dedicated unto the Lord, with the silver and the gold that he brought from all these nations; from Edom, and from Moab, and from the children of Ammon, and from the Philistines, and from Amalek.
12 Moreover Abishai the son of Zeruiah slew of the Edomites in the valley of salt eighteen thousand.
13 And he put garrisons in Edom; and all the Edomites became David’s servants. Thus the Lord preserved David whithersoever he went.
14 So David reigned over all Israel, and executed judgment and justice among all his people.
15 And Joab the son of Zeruiah was over the host; and Jehoshaphat the son of Ahilud, recorder.
16 And Zadok the son of Ahitub, and Abimelech the son of Abiathar, were the priests; and Shavsha was scribe;
17 And Benaiah the son of Jehoiada was over the Cherethites and the Pelethites; and the sons of David were chief about the king.
