1 Nan granmaten, tout chèf prèt yo ansanm ak chèf fanmi k’ap dirije pèp la, yo mete tèt yo ansanm sou do Jezi. Yo pran desizyon pou fè touye li.
2 Apre yo fin mare l’, yo mennen l’ ale, yo renmèt li bay Pons Pilat, gouvènè peyi a.
3 Jida menm, nonm ki te trayi Jezi a, lè l’ wè yo te kondannen Jezi, remò pran l’, li pote trant pyès lajan yo tounen bay chèf prèt yo ansanm ak chèf fanmi yo. Li di konsa:
4 Sa m’ fè a mal. Se yon inonsan mwen lage nan men nou. Yo reponn li: Ki mele nou sa? Sa se zafè pa ou.
5 Jida jete pyès lajan yo nan tanp lan, li soti, li ale pann tèt li.
6 Chèf prèt yo ranmase lajan an, yo di konsa: Sa se lajan san. Lalwa nou pa pèmèt nou mete lajan konsa nan kès tanp lan.
7 Apre sa, yo tonbe dakò pou yo achte yon jaden nan men yon nonm ki te konn fè krich. Yo pran tè a sèvi simityè pou etranje ki mouri nan peyi a.
8 Se poutèt sa, jouk jounen jòdi a, yo rele jaden sa a: Jaden san.
9 Se konsa pawòl pwofèt Jeremi te di a rive vre: Yo pran trant pyès lajan yo. Se pri sa a moun ras Izrayèl yo te dakò peye pou li.
10 Ak lajan an, yo achte jaden nonm ki konn fè krich la, dapre lòd Bondye te ban mwen an.
11 Jezi parèt devan gouvènè a. Gouvènè a keksyonnen l’, li mande li: Ou se wa jwif yo? Jezi reponn li: Se ou ki di li.
12 Chèf prèt yo ak chèf fanmi yo t’ap depoze anpil plent kont Jezi. Jezi menm pa t’ reponn anyen.
13 Pilat di li: Ou pa tande tout plent yo depoze sou do ou?
14 Men Jezi pa ba l’ repons sou anyen. Sa te fè Pilat sezi anpil.
15 Pou chak fèt Delivrans gouvènè a te konn lage yon prizonye. Se pèp la ki te konn chwazi kilès.
16 Lè sa a, te gen yon prizonye yo te rele Jezi Barabas. Tout moun te konnen ki moun li ye.
17 Lè Pilat wè pèp la sanble deyò a, li di yo: Kilès nou vle m’ lage ban nou: Jezi Barabas osinon Jezi yo rele Kris la?
18 Pilat te byen konnen se jalouzi ki te fè yo mennen Jezi ba li.
19 Antan Pilat te chita sou fotèy jij li nan tribinal la, madanm li voye di li: Nonm sa a inonsan tande. Pa mele nan zafè sa a. Paske yèswa, mwen soufri anpil poutèt li nan dòmi.
20 Chèf prèt yo ak chèf fanmi yo pran tèt pèp la pou yo mande Pilat pou l’ lage Barabas ba yo, pou l’ fè touye Jezi.
21 Gouvènè a pran lapawòl, li di yo: Kilès nan de a nou vle m’ lage ban nou? Yo reponn: Barabas.
22 Pilat mande yo: Bon. Kisa pou m’ fè ak Jezi yo rele Kris la? Yo tout reponn: Kloure l’ sou yon kwa!
23 Pilat di yo: Ki movezak li fè konsa? Yo rele pi fò toujou: Kloure l’ sou yon kwa!
24 Lè Pilat wè li pa t’ kapab fè anyen ankò, paske pèp la te soti pou l’ te fè plis dezòd toujou, li pran dlo, li lave men l’ devan tout foul moun yo. Li di yo: Mwen menm, mwen pa reskonsab lanmò nonm sa a. Sa, se sou kont nou li ye.
25 Tout pèp la reponn: Se pou reskonsablite lanmò l’ tonbe sou nou ak sou tout pitit nou yo.
26 Apre sa, Pilat lage Barabas ba yo. Li fè yo bat Jezi byen bat, li renmèt yo li pou y al kloure l’ sou yon kwa.
27 Sòlda Pilat yo mennen Jezi nan kay gouvènè a. Yo sanble tout batayon sòlda yo fè wonn li.
28 Yo dezabiye l’, yo mete yon gwo rad koulè wouj violèt sou li.
29 Yo trese yon kouwòn pikan mete nan tèt li, yo ba l’ yon ti bwa wozo kenbe nan men dwat li. Apre sa, yo mete ajenou devan l’, yo pran pase l’ nan betiz. Yo di li: Bonjou, wa jwif yo!
30 Yo krache sou li, yo pran wozo a, yo ba l’ kou nan tèt.
31 Apre yo fin pase l’ anba kont betiz yo, yo wete gwo rad la, yo mete rad pa l’ sou li ankò. Epi yo mennen l’ ale pou yo kloure l’ sou yon kwa.
32 Lè yo soti, yo kontre yon nonm peyi Sirèn ki te rele Simon. Yo fòse msye pote kwa Jezi a.
33 Lè yo rive kote ki rele Gòlgota a (ki vle di: Plas zo bwa tèt la)
34 yo bay Jezi bwè diven mele ak fyèl. Men, lè l’ goute l’, li pa t’ vle bwè li.
35 Apre yo fin kloure l’ sou kwa a, yo tire osò pou separe rad li yo.
36 Apre sa, yo chita ap veye li.
37 Yo mete yon ti pankat anlè tèt li pou fè konnen kòz ki fè yo te kondannen l’ la.
38 Yo te kloure de ansasen sou de lòt kwa an menm tan avè l’, yonn sou bò dwat, yonn sou bò gòch.
39 Moun ki t’ap pase bò la a t’ap plede joure li. Yo t’ap fè siy sou li.
40 Yo t’ap di: Ou menm ki te vle kraze tanp lan pou ou te rebati l’ nan twa jou, sove tèt ou non! Si ou se pitit Bondye a, desann sou kwa a!
41 Konsa tou, chèf prèt yo, dirèktè lalwa yo ak chèf fanmi yo t’ap pase l’ nan rizib. Yo t’ap di:
42 Gade! Li sove lòt moun, li pa kapab sove tèt pa li. Si l’ se wa pèp Izrayèl la, se pou l’ desann sou kwa a koulye a. Lè sa a, n’a kwè nan li.
43 Li te mete konfyans li nan Bondye, li te di se pitit Bondye li ye. Ann wè koulye a si Bondye va vin delivre li.
44 Ata ansasen ki te kloure sou lòt kwa yo t’ap joure l’ menm jan an tou.
45 Vè midi konsa, vin gen yon fènwa sou tout peyi a, jouk twazè apre midi.
46 Vè twazè, Jezi rele byen fò, li di: Eli, Eli lema sabaktani? (ki vle di: Bondye, Bondye, poukisa ou lage m’ konsa?)
47 Nan moun ki te la yo genyen ki tande l’ pale. Yo di: Men l’ap rele Eli.
48 Lamenm, yonn nan yo kouri al pran yon eponj, li tranpe l’ nan venèg, li mete l’ nan pwent yon gòl wozo, li lonje l’ bò bouch Jezi ba l’ bwè.
49 Men, lòt moun yo di: Tann non, monchè. Ann wè si Eli ap vin delivre li.
50 Jezi bay yon gwo rèl ankò, epi li mouri.
51 Menm lè a, rido ki te nan tanp lan chire an de moso, depi anwo jouk anba. Tè a tranble. Wòch yo fann.
52 Tonm mò yo louvri, kò anpil moun pèp Bondye a ki te mouri leve vivan ankò, yo soti nan tonm yo.
53 Apre Jezi li menm te leve soti vivan nan lanmò, yo antre lavil Jerizalèm kote anpil moun te wè yo.
54 Lè ofisye lame a ansanm ak gad ki t’ap veye Jezi ansanm avè l’ yo wè tranblemanntè a ak tou sa ki te pase, yon sèl lapè pran yo. Yo di: Se vre wi, nonm sa a te Pitit Bondye.
55 Te gen plizyè fanm la tou. Men, yo te rete lwen ap gade. Se moun ki t’ap swiv Jezi, ki t’ap okipe l’ depi lè l’ te nan peyi Galile.
56 Nan yo te genyen: Mari, moun lavil Magdala a, Mari, manman Jak ak Jozèf, ansanm ak manman pitit Zebede yo.
57 Lè solèy fin kouche, yon nonm rich, moun lavil Arimate, vin rive. Yo te rele l’ Jozèf. Li menm tou li te yon disip Jezi.
58 li al jwenn Pilat, li mande l’ kò Jezi a. Pilat bay lòd pou yo renmèt li kò a.
59 Jozèf pran kò a, li vlope l’ nan yon bèl dra blan tou nèf.
60 Apre sa, li mete kò a nan yon kavo li te fèk fè fouye nan wòch la pou tèt pa l’. Apre sa, li woule yon gwo wòch devan bouch kavo a. Epi li al fè wout li.
61 Mari, moun lavil Magdala a, ansanm ak lòt Mari a te chita la, anfas kavo a.
62 Nan denmen, ki vle di jou repo a menm, chèf prèt yo ansanm ak farizyen yo ale bò kot Pilat.
63 Yo di li: Chèf, nou chonje lè nonm ki t’ap bay manti a te vivan, li te di apre twa jou li pral leve soti vivan.
64 Bay lòd pou yo veye kavo a byen veye pandan twa jou. Konsa, disip li yo p’ap kapab vin pran kò a pou yo di pèp la apre sa msye leve soti vivan nan lanmò. Dènye kout manti sa a ta pi rèd pase premye a.
65 Pilat di yo: Men yon eskwad gad. Ale, veye kavo a jan nou vle a.
66 Y ale. Pou yo pi asire kavo a te byen fèmen, yo poze sele sou wòch ki te devan bouch kavo a, epi yo mete eskwad gad la veye li.

1 Dès que le matin fut venu, tous les principaux sacrificateurs et les anciens du peuple tinrent conseil contre Jésus, pour le faire mourir.
2 Après l’avoir lié, ils l’emmenèrent, et le livrèrent à Ponce Pilate, le gouverneur.
3 Alors Judas, qui l’avait livré, voyant qu’il était condamné, se repentit, et rapporta les trente pièces d’argent aux principaux sacrificateurs et aux anciens,
4 en disant: J’ai péché, en livrant le sang innocent. Ils répondirent: Que nous importe? Cela te regarde.
5 Judas jeta les pièces d’argent dans le temple, se retira, et alla se pendre.
6 Les principaux sacrificateurs les ramassèrent, et dirent: Il n’est pas permis de les mettre dans le trésor sacré, puisque c’est le prix du sang.
7 Et, après en avoir délibéré, ils achetèrent avec cet argent le champ du potier, pour la sépulture des étrangers.
8 C’est pourquoi ce champ a été appelé champ du sang, jusqu’à ce jour.
9 Alors s’accomplit ce qui avait été annoncé par Jérémie, le prophète: Ils ont pris les trente pièces d’argent, la valeur de celui qui a été estimé, qu’on a estimé de la part des enfants d’Israël;
10 et il les ont données pour le champ du potier, comme le Seigneur me l’avait ordonné.
11 Jésus comparut devant le gouverneur. Le gouverneur l’interrogea, en ces termes: Es-tu le roi des Juifs? Jésus lui répondit: Tu le dis.
12 Mais il ne répondit rien aux accusations des principaux sacrificateurs et des anciens.
13 Alors Pilate lui dit: N’entends-tu pas de combien de choses ils t’accusent?
14 Et Jésus ne lui donna de réponse sur aucune parole, ce qui étonna beaucoup le gouverneur.
15 A chaque fête, le gouverneur avait coutume de relâcher un prisonnier, celui que demandait la foule.
16 Ils avaient alors un prisonnier fameux, nommé Barabbas.
17 Comme ils étaient assemblés, Pilate leur dit: Lequel voulez-vous que je vous relâche, Barabbas, ou Jésus, qu’on appelle Christ?
18 Car il savait que c’était par envie qu’ils avaient livré Jésus.
19 Pendant qu’il était assis sur le tribunal, sa femme lui fit dire: Qu’il n’y ait rien entre toi et ce juste; car aujourd’hui j’ai beaucoup souffert en songe à cause de lui.
20 Les principaux sacrificateurs et les anciens persuadèrent à la foule de demander Barabbas, et de faire périr Jésus.
21 Le gouverneur prenant la parole, leur dit: Lequel des deux voulez-vous que je vous relâche? Ils répondirent: Barabbas.
22 Pilate leur dit: Que ferai-je donc de Jésus, qu’on appelle Christ? Tous répondirent: Qu’il soit crucifié!
23 Le gouverneur dit: Mais quel mal a-t-il fait? Et ils crièrent encore plus fort: Qu’il soit crucifié!
24 Pilate, voyant qu’il ne gagnait rien, mais que le tumulte augmentait, prit de l’eau, se lava les mains en présence de la foule, et dit: Je suis innocent du sang de ce juste. Cela vous regarde.
25 Et tout le peuple répondit: Que son sang retombe sur nous et sur nos enfants!
26 Alors Pilate leur relâcha Barabbas; et, après avoir fait battre de verges Jésus, il le livra pour être crucifié.
27 Les soldats du gouverneur conduisirent Jésus dans le prétoire, et ils assemblèrent autour de lui toute la cohorte.
28 Ils lui ôtèrent ses vêtements, et le couvrirent d’un manteau écarlate.
29 Ils tressèrent une couronne d’épines, qu’ils posèrent sur sa tête, et ils lui mirent un roseau dans la main droite; puis, s’agenouillant devant lui, ils le raillaient, en disant: Salut, roi des Juifs!
30 Et ils crachaient contre lui, prenaient le roseau, et frappaient sur sa tête.
31 Après s’être ainsi moqués de lui, ils lui ôtèrent le manteau, lui remirent ses vêtements, et l’emmenèrent pour le crucifier.
32 Lorsqu’ils sortirent, ils rencontrèrent un homme de Cyrène, appelé Simon, et ils le forcèrent à porter la croix de Jésus.
33 Arrivés au lieu nommé Golgotha, ce qui signifie lieu du crâne,
34 ils lui donnèrent à boire du vin mêlé de fiel; mais, quand il l’eut goûté, il ne voulut pas boire.
35 Après l’avoir crucifié, ils se partagèrent ses vêtements, en tirant au sort, afin que s’accomplît ce qui avait été annoncé par le prophète: Ils se sont partagé mes vêtements, et ils ont tiré au sort ma tunique.
36 Puis ils s’assirent, et le gardèrent.
37 Pour indiquer le sujet de sa condamnation, on écrivit au-dessus de sa tête: Celui-ci est Jésus, le roi des Juifs.
38 Avec lui furent crucifiés deux brigands, l’un à sa droite, et l’autre à sa gauche.
39 Les passants l’injuriaient, et secouaient la tête,
40 en disant: Toi qui détruis le temple, et qui le rebâtis en trois jours, sauve-toi toi-même! Si tu es le Fils de Dieu, descends de la croix!
41 Les principaux sacrificateurs, avec les scribes et les anciens, se moquaient aussi de lui, et disaient:
42 Il a sauvé les autres, et il ne peut se sauver lui-même! S’il est roi d’Israël, qu’il descende de la croix, et nous croirons en lui.
43 Il s’est confié en Dieu; que Dieu le délivre maintenant, s’il l’aime. Car il a dit: Je suis Fils de Dieu.
44 Les brigands, crucifiés avec lui, l’insultaient de la même manière.
45 Depuis la sixième heure jusqu’à la neuvième, il y eut des ténèbres sur toute la terre.
46 Et vers la neuvième heure, Jésus s’écria d’une voix forte: Éli, Éli, lama sabachthani? c’est-à-dire: Mon Dieu, mon Dieu, pourquoi m’as-tu abandonné?
47 Quelques-un de ceux qui étaient là, l’ayant entendu, dirent: Il appelle Élie.
48 Et aussitôt l’un d’eux courut prendre une éponge, qu’il remplit de vinaigre, et, l’ayant fixée à un roseau, il lui donna à boire.
49 Mais les autres disaient: Laisse, voyons si Élie viendra le sauver.
50 Jésus poussa de nouveau un grand cri, et rendit l’esprit.
51 Et voici, le voile du temple se déchira en deux, depuis le haut jusqu’en bas, la terre trembla, les rochers se fendirent,
52 les sépulcres s’ouvrirent, et plusieurs corps des saints qui étaient morts ressuscitèrent.
53 Étant sortis des sépulcres, après la résurrection de Jésus, ils entrèrent dans la ville sainte, et apparurent à un grand nombre de personnes.
54 Le centenier et ceux qui étaient avec lui pour garder Jésus, ayant vu le tremblement de terre et ce qui venait d’arriver, furent saisis d’une grande frayeur, et dirent: Assurément, cet homme était Fils de Dieu.
55 Il y avait là plusieurs femmes qui regardaient de loin; qui avaient accompagné Jésus depuis la Galilée, pour le servir.
56 Parmi elles étaient Marie de Magdala, Marie, mère de Jacques et de Joseph, et la mère des fils de Zébédée.
57 Le soir étant venu, arriva un homme riche d’Arimathée, nommé Joseph, lequel était aussi disciple de Jésus.
58 Il se rendit vers Pilate, et demanda le corps de Jésus. Et Pilate ordonna de le remettre.
59 Joseph prit le corps, l’enveloppa d’un linceul blanc,
60 et le déposa dans un sépulcre neuf, qu’il s’était fait tailler dans le roc. Puis il roula une grande pierre à l’entrée du sépulcre, et il s’en alla.
61 Marie de Magdala et l’autre Marie étaient là, assises vis-à-vis du sépulcre.
62 Le lendemain, qui était le jour après la préparation, les principaux sacrificateurs et les pharisiens allèrent ensemble auprès de Pilate,
63 et dirent: Seigneur, nous nous souvenons que cet imposteur a dit, quand il vivait encore: Après trois jours je ressusciterai.
64 Ordonne donc que le sépulcre soit gardé jusqu’au troisième jour, afin que ses disciples ne viennent pas dérober le corps, et dire au peuple: Il est ressuscité des morts. Cette dernière imposture serait pire que la première.
65 Pilate leur dit: Vous avez une garde; allez, gardez-le comme vous l’entendrez.
66 Ils s’en allèrent, et s’assurèrent du sépulcre au moyen de la garde, après avoir scellé la pierre.

1 When the morning was come, all the chief priests and elders of the people took counsel against Jesus to put him to death:
2 And when they had bound him, they led him away, and delivered him to Pontius Pilate the governor.
3 Then Judas, which had betrayed him, when he saw that he was condemned, repented himself, and brought again the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders,
4 Saying, I have sinned in that I have betrayed the innocent blood. And they said, What is that to us? see thou to that.
5 And he cast down the pieces of silver in the temple, and departed, and went and hanged himself.
6 And the chief priests took the silver pieces, and said, It is not lawful for to put them into the treasury, because it is the price of blood.
7 And they took counsel, and bought with them the potter’s field, to bury strangers in.
8 Wherefore that field was called, The field of blood, unto this day.
9 Then was fulfilled that which was spoken by Jeremy the prophet, saying, And they took the thirty pieces of silver, the price of him that was valued, whom they of the children of Israel did value;
10 And gave them for the potter’s field, as the Lord appointed me.
11 And Jesus stood before the governor: and the governor asked him, saying, Art thou the King of the Jews? And Jesus said unto him, Thou sayest.
12 And when he was accused of the chief priests and elders, he answered nothing.
13 Then said Pilate unto him, Hearest thou not how many things they witness against thee?
14 And he answered him to never a word; insomuch that the governor marvelled greatly.
15 Now at that feast the governor was wont to release unto the people a prisoner, whom they would.
16 And they had then a notable prisoner, called Barabbas.
17 Therefore when they were gathered together, Pilate said unto them, Whom will ye that I release unto you? Barabbas, or Jesus which is called Christ?
18 For he knew that for envy they had delivered him.
19 When he was set down on the judgment seat, his wife sent unto him, saying, Have thou nothing to do with that just man: for I have suffered many things this day in a dream because of him.
20 But the chief priests and elders persuaded the multitude that they should ask Barabbas, and destroy Jesus.
21 The governor answered and said unto them, Whether of the twain will ye that I release unto you? They said, Barabbas.
22 Pilate saith unto them, What shall I do then with Jesus which is called Christ? They all say unto him, Let him be crucified.
23 And the governor said, Why, what evil hath he done? But they cried out the more, saying, Let him be crucified.
24 When Pilate saw that he could prevail nothing, but that rather a tumult was made, he took water, and washed his hands before the multitude, saying, I am innocent of the blood of this just person: see ye to it.
25 Then answered all the people, and said, His blood be on us, and on our children.
26 Then released he Barabbas unto them: and when he had scourged Jesus, he delivered him to be crucified.
27 Then the soldiers of the governor took Jesus into the common hall, and gathered unto him the whole band of soldiers.
28 And they stripped him, and put on him a scarlet robe.
29 And when they had platted a crown of thorns, they put it upon his head, and a reed in his right hand: and they bowed the knee before him, and mocked him, saying, Hail, King of the Jews!
30 And they spit upon him, and took the reed, and smote him on the head.
31 And after that they had mocked him, they took the robe off from him, and put his own raiment on him, and led him away to crucify him.
32 And as they came out, they found a man of Cyrene, Simon by name: him they compelled to bear his cross.
33 And when they were come unto a place called Golgotha, that is to say, a place of a skull,
34 They gave him vinegar to drink mingled with gall: and when he had tasted thereof, he would not drink.
35 And they crucified him, and parted his garments, casting lots: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, They parted my garments among them, and upon my vesture did they cast lots.
36 And sitting down they watched him there;
37 And set up over his head his accusation written, This Is Jesus The King Of The Jews.
38 Then were there two thieves crucified with him, one on the right hand, and another on the left.
39 And they that passed by reviled him, wagging their heads,
40 And saying, Thou that destroyest the temple, and buildest it in three days, save thyself. If thou be the Son of God, come down from the cross.
41 Likewise also the chief priests mocking him, with the scribes and elders, said,
42 He saved others; himself he cannot save. If he be the King of Israel, let him now come down from the cross, and we will believe him.
43 He trusted in God; let him deliver him now, if he will have him: for he said, I am the Son of God.
44 The thieves also, which were crucified with him, cast the same in his teeth.
45 Now from the sixth hour there was darkness over all the land unto the ninth hour.
46 And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?
47 Some of them that stood there, when they heard that, said, This man calleth for Elias.
48 And straightway one of them ran, and took a spunge, and filled it with vinegar, and put it on a reed, and gave him to drink.
49 The rest said, Let be, let us see whether Elias will come to save him.
50 Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost.
51 And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent;
52 And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose,
53 And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.
54 Now when the centurion, and they that were with him, watching Jesus, saw the earthquake, and those things that were done, they feared greatly, saying, Truly this was the Son of God.
55 And many women were there beholding afar off, which followed Jesus from Galilee, ministering unto him:
56 Among which was Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James and Joses, and the mother of Zebedees children.
57 When the even was come, there came a rich man of Arimathaea, named Joseph, who also himself was Jesus’ disciple:
58 He went to Pilate, and begged the body of Jesus. Then Pilate commanded the body to be delivered.
59 And when Joseph had taken the body, he wrapped it in a clean linen cloth,
60 And laid it in his own new tomb, which he had hewn out in the rock: and he rolled a great stone to the door of the sepulchre, and departed.
61 And there was Mary Magdalene, and the other Mary, sitting over against the sepulchre.
62 Now the next day, that followed the day of the preparation, the chief priests and Pharisees came together unto Pilate,
63 Saying, Sir, we remember that that deceiver said, while he was yet alive, After three days I will rise again.
64 Command therefore that the sepulchre be made sure until the third day, lest his disciples come by night, and steal him away, and say unto the people, He is risen from the dead: so the last error shall be worse than the first.
65 Pilate said unto them, Ye have a watch: go your way, make it as sure as ye can.
