Jeremi 25
1 Seyè a te bay Jeremi yon mesaj sou pèp peyi Jida a, nan katriyèm lanne rèy wa Jojakim, pitit Jozyas, nan peyi Jida. Lè sa a, Nèbikadneza te nan premye lanne li depi li te wa peyi Babilòn.
2 Men mesaj pwofèt Jeremi te bay tout pèp peyi Jida a ak tout moun lavil Jerizalèm yo:
3 -Depi trèzyèm lanne rèy wa Jozyas, pitit Amon, nan peyi Jida rive jòdi a, sa fè venntwazan depi Seyè a ap pale avè m’, venntwazan depi m’ap pale ak nou san rete, nou pa vle koute m’.
4 Seyè a pa janm sispann voye pwofèt li yo, sèvitè l’ yo, ban nou. Men nou pa vle koute yo, nou derefize louvri zòrèy nou pou nou tande yo.
5 Yo te di nou pou nou manyè kite vye chemen nou t’ap swiv yo, pou nou manyè sispann fè sa ki mal. Konsa, nou ta ka viv toujou nan peyi Seyè a te ban nou an, peyi li te bay zansèt nou yo pou tout tan tout tan an.
6 Pwofèt yo di nou: Pa kouri dèyè lòt bondye, pa fè sèvis pou yo, pa mete ajenou devan yo. Pa sèvi zidòl nou fè ak men nou pou Seyè a pa fache. Konsa, si nou obeyi Seyè a li p’ap pini nou.
7 Men, se Seyè a menm ki di sa, nou derefize koute l’. Nou fè l’ fache ak zidòl nou fè ak men nou. Se konsa nou rale malè sou tèt nou.
8 Se poutèt sa, men sa Seyè ki gen tout pouvwa a di: Paske nou pa koute m’ lè m’ pale nou,
9 mwen pral voye chache tout moun ki bò nò yo ansanm ak sèvitè m’ lan, Nèbikadneza, wa Babilòn lan. Se mwen menm Seyè a ki di sa. Mwen pral fè yo vin kraze peyi Jida a ak tout moun ki rete ladan l’ yo ansanm ak tout peyi nan vwazinaj yo. Mwen pral detwi yo tout. M’ap fè yo tounen yon dezè ki va fè moun sezi, yon pil mazi pou tout tan.
10 M’ap fè yo p’ap tande moun ap pran plezi yo la. Yo p’ap tande vwa moun ki gen kè kontan. Yo p’ap tande yo fè fèt pou moun k’ap marye. M’ap fè p’ap gen grenn pou moulen, p’ap gen lwil pou mete nan lanp.
11 Tout peyi a pral kraze tounen mazi, yon dezè. Nasyon ki nan vwazinaj yo pral sèvi wa Babilòn lan pandan swasanndizan.
12 Apre swasanndizan sa yo, m’a pini wa Babilòn lan ansanm ak pèp li a pou peche yo fè. Se mwen menm Seyè a ki di sa. M’ap detwi peyi moun Kalde yo, m’ap fè l’ tounen mazi pou tout tan.
13 M’ap voye sou peyi Babilòn lan tout malè mwen te di m’ap voye yo, tou sa pwofèt Jeremi te fè konnen nan non mwen sou nasyon yo, jan sa ekri nan liv sa a.
14 Yo menm tou moun Babilòn yo, anpil lòt nasyon ak gran wa va fè yo tounen esklav. M’ap fè yo peye pou tou sa yo fè.
15 Men sa Seyè a, Bondye pèp Izrayèl la, di m’: -Men yon gode plen diven kòlè Bondye nan men m’. Pran li, pote l’ bay tout moun nan peyi kote m’ap voye ou yo pou yo bwè.
16 Y’a bwè, pye yo ap trese, y’a pèdi tèt yo lè y’a wè lagè m’ap voye nan mitan yo.
17 Se konsa, mwen pran gode a nan men Seyè a, mwen pote l’ bay tout moun nan tout peyi kote Seyè a te voye m’ lan, mwen fè yo bwè ladan l’.
18 Mwen fè moun lavil Jerizalèm ak moun lavil Jida yo bwè ladan l’ ansanm ak wa yo, chèf yo, pou lavil yo ka tounen mazi, yon dezè pou moun mete men nan tèt lè yo wè sa, pou moun sèvi ak non yo pou bay madichon, jan y’ap fè l’ jouk koulye a.
19 Men moun mwen fè bwè nan gode a tou: Farawon an, wa peyi Lejip la, ansanm ak sòlda li yo, chèf li yo ak tout pèp li a,
20 tout ras moun ki rete bò solèy kouche yo ansanm ak tout wa peyi Ouz yo, tout wa nan peyi Filisti yo: wa lavil Askalon, wa lavil Gaza, wa lavil Ekwon, wa ki rete nan lavil Asdòd,
21 moun peyi Edon, moun peyi Moab ak moun Amon yo,
22 tout wa peyi Tir yo, wa peyi Sidon ak wa tout peyi ki lòt bò lanmè Mediterane a,
23 moun lavil Dedan, moun lavil Teman ak moun lavil Bouz, ansanm ak tout moun ki koupe cheve nan tèt yo kout,
24 tout wa peyi Arabi yo, tout wa ki rete nan dezè bò solèy kouche a,
25 tout wa Zimri yo, tout wa Elam yo ak tout wa Medi yo,
26 tout wa ki sou bò nò yo, sa ki lwen yo ak sa ki pre yo, yonn apre lòt. Tout nasyon ki sou latè gen pou bwè ladan l’. Apre yo tout, se va tou pa wa lavil Babilòn lan pou l’ bwè ladan l’ tou.
27 Apre sa, Seyè a di m’ konsa: W’a di yo men lòd Seyè ki gen tout pouvwa a, Bondye pèp Izrayèl la bay. Se pou yo bwè pou yo sou, jouk yo vonmi. Y’a tonbe, yo p’ap ka leve lè y’a wè lagè m’ap voye sou yo a.
28 Si yo ta rive refize pran gode a nan men ou pou yo pa bwè ladan l’, w’a di yo: Seyè ki gen tout pouvwa a di wè pa wè se pou yo bwè l’.
29 Premye kote m’ap konmanse fè malè, se va lavil yo mete apa pou mwen an. Atò, se nou menm ki pou pa ta resevwa pinisyon nou? Non, nou p’ap chape, paske mwen pral voye lagè sou tout moun sou latè. Se mwen menm, Seyè ki gen tout pouvwa a, ki di sa.
30 Ou menm, Jeremi, se pou ou fè yo konnen tou sa mwen di ou. W’a di yo: -Seyè a rete anwo nan syèl la, l’ap gwonde. Li rete nan kay ki apa pou li a, l’ap pale byen fò. L’ap gwonde anwo pèp li a. L’ap rele tankou moun k’ap kraze rezen. Li move sou tout moun ki rete sou latè.
31 Bri a rive nan zòrèy moun toupatou sou latè. Seyè a gen yon kont pou l’ regle ak nasyon yo. Li rele yo tout nan tribinal. L’ap fè touye tout moun ki antò. Se Seyè a menm ki di sa.
32 Seyè ki gen tout pouvwa a di: -Malè a pral tonbe sou nasyon yo yonn apre lòt, yon gwo van tanpèt ap moute soti nan bout latè.
33 Jou sa a, depi yon bout latè rive lòt bout la, se va kadav moun Seyè a pral touye. P’ap gen pesonn pou kriye pou yo, pesonn pou ranmase yo atè a, pesonn pou antere yo. Kadav yo va tounen fimye atè a.
34 Nou menm chèf ki reskonsab pèp la, rele anmwe, woule kò nou atè. Lè a rive pou yo koupe tèt nou. Yo pral gaye nou. Nou pral tonbe atè. Nou pral kraze tankou bèl potich ki koute chè.
35 P’ap gen kote pou chèf yo al kache. P’ap gen kote pou moun ki reskonsab pran swen pèp la ka ale pou yo jwenn pwoteksyon.
36 Y’ap tande chèf yo ap rele, y’ap tande yo ap rele anmwe, paske Seyè a pral ravaje peyi yo.
37 Tout bèl peyi yo pral tounen mazi, paske Seyè a move anpil.
38 Tankou yon lyon ki kouri kite twou li, tout moun ap mete deyò. Peyi a pral tounen yon dezè apre lagè san manman sa a, apre gwo kòlè Seyè a.

Jérémie 25
1 La parole fut adressée à Jérémie sur tout le peuple de Juda, la quatrième année de Jojakim, fils de Josias, roi de Juda, -c’était la première année de Nebucadnetsar, roi de Babylone, –
2 parole que Jérémie prononça devant tout le peuple de Juda et devant tous les habitants de Jérusalem, en disant:
3 Depuis la treizième année de Josias, fils d’Amon, roi de Juda, il y a vingt-trois ans que la parole de l’Éternel m’a été adressée; je vous ai parlé, je vous ai parlé dès le matin, et vous n’avez pas écouté.
4 L’Éternel vous a envoyé tous ses serviteurs, les prophètes, il les a envoyés dès le matin; et vous n’avez pas écouté, vous n’avez pas prêté l’oreille pour écouter.
5 Ils ont dit: Revenez chacun de votre mauvaise voie et de la méchanceté de vos actions, et vous resterez dans le pays que j’ai donné à vous et à vos pères, d’éternité en éternité;
6 n’allez pas après d’autres dieux, pour les servir et pour vous prosterner devant eux, ne m’irritez pas par l’ouvrage de vos mains, et je ne vous ferai aucun mal.
7 Mais vous ne m’avez pas écouté, dit l’Éternel, afin de m’irriter par l’ouvrage de vos mains, pour votre malheur.
8 C’est pourquoi ainsi parle l’Éternel des armées: Parce que vous n’avez point écouté mes paroles,
9 j’enverrai chercher tous les peuples du septentrion, dit l’Éternel, et j’enverrai auprès de Nebucadnetsar, roi de Babylone, mon serviteur; je le ferai venir contre ce pays et contre ses habitants, et contre toutes ces nations à l’entour, afin de les dévouer par interdit, et d’en faire un objet de désolation et de moquerie, des ruines éternelles.
10 Je ferai cesser parmi eux les cris de réjouissance et les cris d’allégresse, les chants du fiancé et les chants de la fiancée, le bruit de la meule et la lumière de la lampe.
11 Tout ce pays deviendra une ruine, un désert, et ces nations seront asservies au roi de Babylone pendant soixante-dix ans.
12 Mais lorsque ces soixante-dix ans seront accomplis, je châtierai le roi de Babylone et cette nation, dit l’Éternel, à cause de leurs iniquités; je punirai le pays des Chaldéens, et j’en ferai des ruines éternelles.
13 Je ferai venir sur ce pays toutes les choses que j’ai annoncées sur lui, tout ce qui est écrit dans ce livre, ce que Jérémie a prophétisé sur toutes les nations.
14 Car des nations puissantes et de grands rois les asserviront, eux aussi, et je leur rendrai selon leurs oeuvres et selon l’ouvrage de leurs mains.
15 Car ainsi m’a parlé l’Éternel, le Dieu d’Israël: Prends de ma main cette coupe remplie du vin de ma colère, Et fais-la boire à toutes les nations Vers lesquelles je t’enverrai.
16 Ils boiront, et ils chancelleront et seront comme fous, A la vue du glaive que j’enverrai au milieu d’eux.
17 Et je pris la coupe de la main de l’Éternel, Et je la fis boire à toutes les nations Vers lesquelles l’Éternel m’envoyait:
18 A Jérusalem et aux villes de Juda, A ses rois et à ses chefs, Pour en faire une ruine, Un objet de désolation, de moquerie et de malédiction, Comme cela se voit aujourd’hui;
19 A Pharaon, roi d’Égypte, A ses serviteurs, à ses chefs, et à tout son peuple;
20 A toute l’Arabie, à tous les rois du pays d’Uts, A tous les rois du pays des Philistins, A Askalon, à Gaza, à Ékron, et à ce qui reste d’Asdod;
21 A Édom, A Moab, et aux enfants d’Ammon;
22 A tous les rois de Tyr, à tous les rois de Sidon, Et aux rois des îles qui sont au delà de la mer;
23 A Dedan, à Théma, à Buz, Et à tous ceux qui se rasent les coins de la barbe;
24 A tous les rois d’Arabie, Et à tous les rois des Arabes qui habitent dans le désert;
25 A tous les rois de Zimri, A tous les rois d’Élam, Et à tous les rois de Médie;
26 A tous les rois du septentrion, Proches ou éloignés, Aux uns et aux autres, Et à tous les royaumes du monde Qui sont sur la face de la terre. Et le roi de Schéschac boira après eux.
27 Tu leur diras: Ainsi parle l’Éternel des armées, le Dieu d’Israël: Buvez, enivrez-vous, et vomissez, Et tombez sans vous relever, A la vue du glaive que j’enverrai au milieu de vous!
28 Et s’ils refusent de prendre de ta main la coupe pour boire, Dis-leur: Ainsi parle l’Éternel des armées: Vous boirez!
29 Car voici, dans la ville sur laquelle mon nom est invoqué Je commence à faire du mal; Et vous, vous resteriez impunis! Vous ne resterez pas impunis; Car j’appellerai le glaive sur tous les habitants de la terre, Dit l’Éternel des armées.
30 Et toi, tu leur prophétiseras toutes ces choses, Et tu leur diras: L’Éternel rugira d’en haut; De sa demeure sainte il fera retentir sa voix; Il rugira contre le lieu de sa résidence; Il poussera des cris, comme ceux qui foulent au pressoir, Contre tous les habitants de la terre.
31 Le bruit parvient jusqu’à l’extrémité de la terre; Car l’Éternel est en dispute avec les nations, Il entre en jugement contre toute chair; Il livre les méchants au glaive, dit l’Éternel.
32 Ainsi parle l’Éternel des armées: Voici, la calamité va de nation en nation, Et une grande tempête s’élève des extrémités de la terre.
33 Ceux que tuera l’Éternel en ce jour seront étendus D’un bout à l’autre de la terre; Ils ne seront ni pleurés, ni recueillis, ni enterrés, Ils seront comme du fumier sur la terre.
34 Gémissez, pasteurs, et criez! Roulez-vous dans la cendre, conducteurs de troupeaux! Car les jours sont venus où vous allez être égorgés. Je vous briserai, et vous tomberez comme un vase de prix.
35 Plus de refuge pour les pasteurs! Plus de salut pour les conducteurs de troupeaux!
36 On entend les cris des pasteurs, Les gémissements des conducteurs de troupeaux; Car l’Éternel ravage leur pâturage.
37 Les habitations paisibles sont détruites Par la colère ardente de l’Éternel.
38 Il a abandonné sa demeure comme un lionceau sa tanière; Car leur pays est réduit en désert Par la fureur du destructeur Et par son ardente colère.

1 The word that came to Jeremiah concerning all the people of Judah in the fourth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah, that was the first year of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon;
2 The which Jeremiah the prophet spake unto all the people of Judah, and to all the inhabitants of Jerusalem, saying,
3 From the thirteenth year of Josiah the son of Amon king of Judah, even unto this day, that is the three and twentieth year, the word of the Lord hath come unto me, and I have spoken unto you, rising early and speaking; but ye have not hearkened.
4 And the Lord hath sent unto you all his servants the prophets, rising early and sending them; but ye have not hearkened, nor inclined your ear to hear.
5 They said, Turn ye again now every one from his evil way, and from the evil of your doings, and dwell in the land that the Lord hath given unto you and to your fathers for ever and ever:
6 And go not after other gods to serve them, and to worship them, and provoke me not to anger with the works of your hands; and I will do you no hurt.
7 Yet ye have not hearkened unto me, saith the Lord; that ye might provoke me to anger with the works of your hands to your own hurt.
8 Therefore thus saith the Lord of hosts; Because ye have not heard my words,
9 Behold, I will send and take all the families of the north, saith the Lord, and Nebuchadrezzar the king of Babylon, my servant, and will bring them against this land, and against the inhabitants thereof, and against all these nations round about, and will utterly destroy them, and make them an astonishment, and an hissing, and perpetual desolations.
10 Moreover I will take from them the voice of mirth, and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride, the sound of the millstones, and the light of the candle.
11 And this whole land shall be a desolation, and an astonishment; and these nations shall serve the king of Babylon seventy years.
12 And it shall come to pass, when seventy years are accomplished, that I will punish the king of Babylon, and that nation, saith the Lord, for their iniquity, and the land of the Chaldeans, and will make it perpetual desolations.
13 And I will bring upon that land all my words which I have pronounced against it, even all that is written in this book, which Jeremiah hath prophesied against all the nations.
14 For many nations and great kings shall serve themselves of them also: and I will recompense them according to their deeds, and according to the works of their own hands.
15 For thus saith the Lord God of Israel unto me; Take the wine cup of this fury at my hand, and cause all the nations, to whom I send thee, to drink it.
16 And they shall drink, and be moved, and be mad, because of the sword that I will send among them.
17 Then took I the cup at the Lord‘s hand, and made all the nations to drink, unto whom the Lord had sent me:
18 To wit, Jerusalem, and the cities of Judah, and the kings thereof, and the princes thereof, to make them a desolation, an astonishment, an hissing, and a curse; as it is this day;
19 Pharaoh king of Egypt, and his servants, and his princes, and all his people;
20 And all the mingled people, and all the kings of the land of Uz, and all the kings of the land of the Philistines, and Ashkelon, and Azzah, and Ekron, and the remnant of Ashdod,
21 Edom, and Moab, and the children of Ammon,
22 And all the kings of Tyrus, and all the kings of Zidon, and the kings of the isles which are beyond the sea,
23 Dedan, and Tema, and Buz, and all that are in the utmost corners,
24 And all the kings of Arabia, and all the kings of the mingled people that dwell in the desert,
25 And all the kings of Zimri, and all the kings of Elam, and all the kings of the Medes,
26 And all the kings of the north, far and near, one with another, and all the kingdoms of the world, which are upon the face of the earth: and the king of Sheshach shall drink after them.
27 Therefore thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel; Drink ye, and be drunken, and spue, and fall, and rise no more, because of the sword which I will send among you.
28 And it shall be, if they refuse to take the cup at thine hand to drink, then shalt thou say unto them, Thus saith the Lord of hosts; Ye shall certainly drink.
29 For, lo, I begin to bring evil on the city which is called by my name, and should ye be utterly unpunished? Ye shall not be unpunished: for I will call for a sword upon all the inhabitants of the earth, saith the Lord of hosts.
30 Therefore prophesy thou against them all these words, and say unto them, The Lord shall roar from on high, and utter his voice from his holy habitation; he shall mightily roar upon his habitation; he shall give a shout, as they that tread the grapes, against all the inhabitants of the earth.
31 A noise shall come even to the ends of the earth; for the Lord hath a controversy with the nations, he will plead with all flesh; he will give them that are wicked to the sword, saith the Lord.
32 Thus saith the Lord of hosts, Behold, evil shall go forth from nation to nation, and a great whirlwind shall be raised up from the coasts of the earth.
33 And the slain of the Lord shall be at that day from one end of the earth even unto the other end of the earth: they shall not be lamented, neither gathered, nor buried; they shall be dung upon the ground.
34 Howl, ye shepherds, and cry; and wallow yourselves in the ashes, ye principal of the flock: for the days of your slaughter and of your dispersions are accomplished; and ye shall fall like a pleasant vessel.
35 And the shepherds shall have no way to flee, nor the principal of the flock to escape.
36 A voice of the cry of the shepherds, and an howling of the principal of the flock, shall be heard: for the Lord hath spoiled their pasture.
37 And the peaceable habitations are cut down because of the fierce anger of the Lord.
38 He hath forsaken his covert, as the lion: for their land is desolate because of the fierceness of the oppressor, and because of his fierce anger.
