Sòm 72
1 Se yon sòm Salomon. Bondye, moutre wa a jan pou l’ dirije tankou ou! Bay pitit wa a pouvwa pou l’ gouvènen jan ou vle l’ la!
2 Konsa, l’a gouvènen pèp ou a san patipri, l’a gouvènen malere ou yo jan sa dwe fèt.
3 Nan tout mòn peyi a, moun va viv byen yonn ak lòt. p’ap gen lenjistis nan okenn ti mòn peyi a.
4 Wa a va defann kòz malere ki nan peyi a. L’a wete pitit pòv malere yo nan mizè yo ye a. L’a kraze moun k’ap peze pèp la.
5 Se pou l’ viv lontan, tout tan va gen solèy ak lalin pou bay limyè. Wi, se pou li viv tout tan tout tan.
6 Se pou wa a tankou lapli k’ap tonbe nan jaden, tankou gwo lapli k’ap wouze tè a.
7 Sou reny li, ap gen jistis toupatou. Tout moun va viv byen yonn ak lòt tout tan va gen lalin pou bay limyè.
8 L’ap gouvènen depi yon lanmè jouk nan lòt lanmè a, depi larivyè Lefrat jouk nan dènye bout latè a.
9 Moun ki rete nan dezè a pral soumèt devan li, lènmi l’ yo pral manje pousyè.
10 Wa peyi Tasis ak wa zile yo va vin ofri l’ kado. Wa peyi Saba ak wa peyi Seba va pote kado ba li.
11 Wa tout lòt peyi yo va soumèt devan li. Tout lòt peyi yo va sèvi l’.
12 L’a delivre pòv yo lè yo rele nan pye li. L’a delivre tout malere ki san sekou.
13 L’a gen pitye pou pòv malere yo. L’a sove lavi tout moun ki nan bezwen.
14 L’a delivre yo anba men moun k’ap peze yo, anba men moun k’ap fè yo mechanste. Lavi moun sa yo gen anpil valè pou li!
15 Se pou wa a viv lontan! Y’a ba li lò ki soti nan peyi Saba. Y’a toujou lapriyè pou li. Y’a mande pou Bondye beni li chak jou.
16 Se pou jaden kouvri tout peyi a, jouk sou tèt mòn yo. Se pou yo donnen tankou jaden peyi Liban. Se pou lavil yo plen moun tankou zèb k’ap pouse nan jaden.
17 Se pou yo pa janm bliye non li. Toutotan va gen solèy pou klere tè a, se pou y’ap nonmen non li. Se pou tout nasyon fè lwanj li. Se pou tout moun mande Bondye pou l’ beni yo menm jan li beni wa a.
18 Fè lwanj Seyè a, Bondye pèp Izrayèl la. Se li menm sèl ki ka fè bèl mèvèy sa yo.
19 Fè lwanj li pou gwo pouvwa li. Se pou toupatou sou latè yo rekonèt gwo pouvwa li. Wi, se vre! Amèn!
20 Avèk sòm sa a, nou fini ak lapriyè David, pitit Izayi a, te fè.

Psaumes 72
1 De Salomon. O Dieu, donne tes jugements au roi, Et ta justice au fils du roi!
2 Il jugera ton peuple avec justice, Et tes malheureux avec équité.
3 Les montagnes porteront la paix pour le peuple, Et les collines aussi, par l’effet de ta justice.
4 Il fera droit aux malheureux du peuple, Il sauvera les enfants du pauvre, Et il écrasera l’oppresseur.
5 On te craindra, tant que subsistera le soleil, Tant que paraîtra la lune, de génération en génération.
6 Il sera comme une pluie qui tombe sur un terrain fauché, Comme des ondées qui arrosent la campagne.
7 En ses jours le juste fleurira, Et la paix sera grande jusqu’à ce qu’il n’y ait plus de lune.
8 Il dominera d’une mer à l’autre, Et du fleuve aux extrémités de la terre.
9 Devant lui, les habitants du désert fléchiront le genou, Et ses ennemis lécheront la poussière.
10 Les rois de Tarsis et des îles paieront des tributs, Les rois de Séba et de Saba offriront des présents.
11 Tous les rois se prosterneront devant lui, Toutes les nations le serviront.
12 Car il délivrera le pauvre qui crie, Et le malheureux qui n’a point d’aide.
13 Il aura pitié du misérable et de l’indigent, Et il sauvera la vie des pauvres;
14 Il les affranchira de l’oppression et de la violence, Et leur sang aura du prix à ses yeux.
15 Ils vivront, et lui donneront de l’or de Séba; Ils prieront pour lui sans cesse, ils le béniront chaque jour.
16 Les blés abonderont dans le pays, au sommet des montagnes, Et leurs épis s’agiteront comme les arbres du Liban; Les hommes fleuriront dans les villes comme l’herbe de la terre.
17 Son nom subsistera toujours, Aussi longtemps que le soleil son nom se perpétuera; Par lui on se bénira mutuellement, Et toutes les nations le diront heureux.
18 Béni soit l’Éternel Dieu, le Dieu d’Israël, qui seul fait des prodiges!
19 Béni soit à jamais son nom glorieux! Que toute la terre soit remplie de sa gloire! Amen! Amen!

Psalm 72
1 Give the king thy judgments, O God, and thy righteousness unto the king’s son.
2 He shall judge thy people with righteousness, and thy poor with judgment.
3 The mountains shall bring peace to the people, and the little hills, by righteousness.
4 He shall judge the poor of the people, he shall save the children of the needy, and shall break in pieces the oppressor.
5 They shall fear thee as long as the sun and moon endure, throughout all generations.
6 He shall come down like rain upon the mown grass: as showers that water the earth.
7 In his days shall the righteous flourish; and abundance of peace so long as the moon endureth.
8 He shall have dominion also from sea to sea, and from the river unto the ends of the earth.
9 They that dwell in the wilderness shall bow before him; and his enemies shall lick the dust.
10 The kings of Tarshish and of the isles shall bring presents: the kings of Sheba and Seba shall offer gifts.
11 Yea, all kings shall fall down before him: all nations shall serve him.
12 For he shall deliver the needy when he crieth; the poor also, and him that hath no helper.
13 He shall spare the poor and needy, and shall save the souls of the needy.
14 He shall redeem their soul from deceit and violence: and precious shall their blood be in his sight.
15 And he shall live, and to him shall be given of the gold of Sheba: prayer also shall be made for him continually; and daily shall he be praised.
16 There shall be an handful of corn in the earth upon the top of the mountains; the fruit thereof shall shake like Lebanon: and they of the city shall flourish like grass of the earth.
17 His name shall endure for ever: his name shall be continued as long as the sun: and men shall be blessed in him: all nations shall call him blessed.
18 Blessed be the Lord God, the God of Israel, who only doeth wondrous things.
19 And blessed be his glorious name for ever: and let the whole earth be filled with his glory; Amen, and Amen.
