1 Apre senk jou, Ananyas, granprèt la, rive Sezare ak yon avoka yo rele Tètilis ansanm ak kèk chèf fanmi. Yo parèt devan gouvènè a; yo te vin pote plent pou Pòl.
2 Yo fè rele Pòl. Lè sa a Tetilis kòmanse pale, li t’ap akize Pòl konsa: Ekselans, se ou ki fè nou gen lapè depi lontan. Se sou gouvènman ou yo fè anpil refòm nesesè pou byen peyi a, tèlman ou gen bon konprann.
3 Pou tou sa w’ap fè depi lontan toupatou, n’ap di ou mèsi anpil ak tout kè nou.
4 Mwen pa vle pran twòp tan ou. Men tanpri souple, pran pasyans, koute sa nou gen pou n’ di ou la a. Nou p’ap pale anpil.
5 Nou fin wè nonm sa a se yon gwo nwizans: l’ap mache fè dezòd nan mitan jwif yo toupatou sou latè. Se chèf gwoup Nazareyen yo li ye.
6 Li menm seye derespekte tanp lan. Lè nou wè sa, nou arete l’. Nou te vle jije l’ dapre Lalwa nou an.
7 Men, kòmandan Lizyas antre nan koze a, li aji yon jan brital ak nou, li wete li nan men nou.
8 Apre sa, Lizyas bay moun ki t’ap akize l’ yo lòd pou yo vin parèt devan ou. Si ou poze nonm sa a keksyon, wa wè ou menm tou, ki jan sa n’ap di la a se verite tou klè.
9 Tout jwif yo te dakò avèk li, yo t’ap di se konsa bagay la te ye vre.
10 Gouvènè a fè Pòl siy pou l’ pale. Pòl di: Mwen konnen w’ap fè jistis nan peyi a depi lontan. Se ak kè poze mwen vin plede kòz mwen devan ou.
11 Ou mèt pran ranseyman, jòdi a fè douz jou depi mwen te moute Jerizalèm pou m’ al fè sèvis pou Bondye.
12 Jwif yo pa jwenn mwen ap diskite ak pesonn nan tanp lan, yo pa bare m’ ap moute tèt pesonn ni nan sinagòg yo ni okenn lòt kote nan lavil la.
13 Moun sa yo pa ka bay okenn prèv pou tou sa yo sot di mwen fè a.
14 Men, m’ap rekonèt sa devan ou: m’ap sèvi Bondye zansèt nou yo dapre chemen yo pretann di ki pa bon an. Men, mwen kwè tout bagay ki ekri nan lalwa Moyiz la ak nan liv pwofèt yo.
15 Mwen gen espwa sa a, epi mwen konnen yo genyen l’ tou; yon jou Bondye gen pou fè tout moun, bon kou mechan, leve soti vivan nan lanmò.
16 Se konsa m’ap fè posib mwen pou m’ toujou kenbe konsyans mwen san repwòch devan Bondye ak devan moun.
17 Apre mwen fin pase anpil lanne deyò, mwen tounen Jerizalèm. Mwen te vin pote yon ti lajan pou ede pèp mwen an, epi m’ tou pwofite fè ofrann bèt pou Bondye.
18 Men sa m’ t’ap fè lè yo jwenn mwen nan tanp lan. Mwen te fin patisipe nan jou sèvis pou mete moun nan kondisyon pou fè sèvis Bondye. Pa te gen foul moun avè m’, pa te gen kras dezòd.
19 Men, te gen kèk jwif ki te soti nan pwovens Lazi, se yo menm ki te dwe la devan ou pou akize m’, si yo te gen kichòy kont mwen.
20 Osinon, se pou moun ki isit la di ki move zak yo jwenn mwen te fè lè m’ te kanpe devan Gran Konsèy la.
21 Men sèl pawòl mwen te di byen fò lè m’ te kanpe devan yo tout la: Se paske mwen kwè mò yo gen pou leve vivan ankò kifè yo rele m’ an jijman devan nou jòdi a.
22 Feliks ki te okouran tout bagay sou chemen Bondye a, ranvwaye jijman an pou pita. Li di yo konsa: Lè kòmandan Lizyas va vini, m’a pran yon desizyon sou zafè sa a.
23 Li bay ofisye ki te reskonsab Pòl la lòd pou l’ pa lage l’, men pou l’ ba li kèk ti libète, epi pou kite zanmi l’ yo rann li ti sèvis.
24 Kèk jou apre sa, Feliks vini avèk Drisil, madanm li, ki te yon jwif. Li voye rele Pòl, li te vle tande sa Pòl te gen pou l’ di sou konfyans nan Jezikri a.
25 Men, lè Pòl pran pale sou jan moun dwe viv byen, sou jan moun dwe kontwole kò yo, sou jou jijman ki gen pou vini an, Feliks soti pè, li di: Bon, koulye a ou mèt ale. Lè m’a gen tan m’a rele ou ankò.
26 Li te mete nan tèt li Pòl ta ka ba li lajan. Se poutèt sa plizyè fwa li te fè l’ vin koze avèk li.
27 Dezan pase konsa. Feliks menm ki te vle fè jwif yo plezi te kite Pòl nan prizon tout tan sa a. Apre sa, Pòsiyis Festis vin moute gouvènè nan plas Feliks.

Actes 24
1 Cinq jours après, arriva le souverain sacrificateur Ananias, avec des anciens et un orateur nommé Tertulle. Ils portèrent plainte au gouverneur contre Paul.
2 Paul fut appelé, et Tertulle se mit à l’accuser, en ces termes:
3 Très excellent Félix, tu nous fais jouir d’une paix profonde, et cette nation a obtenu de salutaires réformes par tes soins prévoyants; c’est ce que nous reconnaissons en tout et partout avec une entière gratitude.
4 Mais, pour ne pas te retenir davantage, je te prie d’écouter, dans ta bonté, ce que nous avons à dire en peu de mots.
5 Nous avons trouvé cet homme, qui est une peste, qui excite des divisions parmi tous les Juifs du monde, qui est chef de la secte des Nazaréens,
6 et qui même a tenté de profaner le temple. Et nous l’avons arrêté. Nous avons voulu le juger selon notre loi;
7 mais le tribun Lysias étant survenu, l’a arraché de nos mains avec une grande violence,
8 en ordonnant à ses accusateurs de venir devant toi. Tu pourras toi-même, en l’interrogeant, apprendre de lui tout ce dont nous l’accusons.
9 Les Juifs se joignirent à l’accusation, soutenant que les choses étaient ainsi.
10 Après que le gouverneur lui eut fait signe de parler, Paul répondit: Sachant que, depuis plusieurs années, tu es juge de cette nation, c’est avec confiance que je prends la parole pour défendre ma cause.
11 Il n’y a pas plus de douze jours, tu peux t’en assurer, que je suis monté à Jérusalem pour adorer.
12 On ne m’a trouvé ni dans le temple, ni dans les synagogues, ni dans la ville, disputant avec quelqu’un, ou provoquant un rassemblement séditieux de la foule.
13 Et ils ne sauraient prouver ce dont ils m’accusent maintenant.
14 Je t’avoue bien que je sers le Dieu de mes pères selon la voie qu’ils appellent une secte, croyant tout ce qui est écrit dans la loi et dans les prophètes,
15 et ayant en Dieu cette espérance, comme ils l’ont eux-mêmes, qu’il y aura une résurrection des justes et des injustes.
16 C’est pourquoi je m’efforce d’avoir constamment une conscience sans reproche devant Dieu et devant les hommes.
17 Après une absence de plusieurs années, je suis venu pour faire des aumônes à ma nation, et pour présenter des offrandes.
18 C’est alors que quelques Juifs d’Asie m’ont trouvé purifié dans le temple, sans attroupement ni tumulte.
19 C’était à eux de paraître en ta présence et de se porter accusateurs, s’ils avaient quelque chose contre moi.
20 Ou bien, que ceux-ci déclarent de quel crime ils m’ont trouvé coupable, lorsque j’ai comparu devant le sanhédrin,
21 à moins que ce ne soit uniquement de ce cri que j’ai fait entendre au milieu d’eux: C’est à cause de la résurrection des morts que je suis aujourd’hui mis en jugement devant vous.
22 Félix, qui savait assez exactement ce qui concernait cette doctrine, les ajourna, en disant: Quand le tribun Lysias sera venu, j’examinerai votre affaire.
23 Et il donna l’ordre au centenier de garder Paul, en lui laissant une certaine liberté, et en n’empêchant aucun des siens de lui rendre des services.
24 Quelques jours après, Félix vint avec Drusille, sa femme, qui était Juive, et il fit appeler Paul. Il l’entendit sur la foi en Christ.
25 Mais, comme Paul discourait sur la justice, sur la tempérance, et sur le jugement à venir, Félix, effrayé, dit: Pour le moment retire-toi; quand j’en trouverai l’occasion, je te rappellerai.
26 Il espérait en même temps que Paul lui donnerait de l’argent; aussi l’envoyait-il chercher assez fréquemment, pour s’entretenir avec lui.
27 Deux ans s’écoulèrent ainsi, et Félix eut pour successeur Porcius Festus. Dans le désir de plaire aux Juifs, Félix laissa Paul en prison.

Acts 24
1 And after five days Ananias the high priest descended with the elders, and with a certain orator named Tertullus, who informed the governor against Paul.
2 And when he was called forth, Tertullus began to accuse him, saying, Seeing that by thee we enjoy great quietness, and that very worthy deeds are done unto this nation by thy providence,
3 We accept it always, and in all places, most noble Felix, with all thankfulness.
4 Notwithstanding, that I be not further tedious unto thee, I pray thee that thou wouldest hear us of thy clemency a few words.
5 For we have found this man a pestilent fellow, and a mover of sedition among all the Jews throughout the world, and a ringleader of the sect of the Nazarenes:
6 Who also hath gone about to profane the temple: whom we took, and would have judged according to our law.
7 But the chief captain Lysias came upon us, and with great violence took him away out of our hands,
8 Commanding his accusers to come unto thee: by examining of whom thyself mayest take knowledge of all these things, whereof we accuse him.
9 And the Jews also assented, saying that these things were so.
10 Then Paul, after that the governor had beckoned unto him to speak, answered, Forasmuch as I know that thou hast been of many years a judge unto this nation, I do the more cheerfully answer for myself:
11 Because that thou mayest understand, that there are yet but twelve days since I went up to Jerusalem for to worship.
12 And they neither found me in the temple disputing with any man, neither raising up the people, neither in the synagogues, nor in the city:
13 Neither can they prove the things whereof they now accuse me.
14 But this I confess unto thee, that after the way which they call heresy, so worship I the God of my fathers, believing all things which are written in the law and in the prophets:
15 And have hope toward God, which they themselves also allow, that there shall be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and unjust.
16 And herein do I exercise myself, to have always a conscience void to offence toward God, and toward men.
17 Now after many years I came to bring alms to my nation, and offerings.
18 Whereupon certain Jews from Asia found me purified in the temple, neither with multitude, nor with tumult.
19 Who ought to have been here before thee, and object, if they had ought against me.
20 Or else let these same here say, if they have found any evil doing in me, while I stood before the council,
21 Except it be for this one voice, that I cried standing among them, Touching the resurrection of the dead I am called in question by you this day.
22 And when Felix heard these things, having more perfect knowledge of that way, he deferred them, and said, When Lysias the chief captain shall come down, I will know the uttermost of your matter.
23 And he commanded a centurion to keep Paul, and to let him have liberty, and that he should forbid none of his acquaintance to minister or come unto him.
24 And after certain days, when Felix came with his wife Drusilla, which was a Jewess, he sent for Paul, and heard him concerning the faith in Christ.
25 And as he reasoned of righteousness, temperance, and judgment to come, Felix trembled, and answered, Go thy way for this time; when I have a convenient season, I will call for thee.
26 He hoped also that money should have been given him of Paul, that he might loose him: wherefore he sent for him the oftener, and communed with him.
27 But after two years Porcius Festus came into Felix’ room: and Felix, willing to shew the Jews a pleasure, left Paul bound.
