Sòm 143
1 Se yon sòm David. Seyè, koute m’ lè m’ap lapriyè. Panche zòrèy ou pou tandAe jan m’ap kriye nan pye ou. Reponn mwen, paske ou toujou kenbe pawòl ou. Ou pa nan patipri.
2 Pa jije m’ sou sa m’ fè, se sèvitè ou mwen ye. Pa gen moun ki inonsan devan je ou.
3 Lènmi pousib mwen, li mache sou mwen. Li fè m’ rete nan fènwa tankou moun ki mouri depi lontan.
4 Mwen santi mwen pa kapab ankò! Mwen boulvèse anpil.
5 Mwen chonje tan lontan, m’ap kalkile tou sa ou te fè. Tou sa ou te fè yo vin nan tèt mwen ankò.
6 Mwen louvri bra m’ devan ou, mwen lapriyè. M’ap tann ou tankou tè sèk k’ap tann lapli.
7 Seyè, prese vin reponn mwen. Mwen pa kapab ankò! Pa vire do ban mwen. Si ou fè sa, m’ap tankou moun ki desann nan peyi kote mò yo ye a.
8 Mwen mete konfyans mwen nan ou. Depi granmaten, fè m’ chonje jan ou renmen m’ anpil. Se ou menm m’ap lapriyè. Moutre m’ chemen pou m’ pran an.
9 Se anba zèl ou m’ap chache pwoteksyon. Tanpri, delivre m’ anba lènmi m’ yo.
10 Se ou menm ki Bondye mwen. Moutre m’ jan pou m’ fè sa ou vle m’ fè a. Jan ou gen bon kè, fè lespri ou mennen m’ nan chemen ki pa gen move pa.
11 Seyè, poutèt non ou pote a, ban m’ lavi ankò. Ou menm ki pa nan patipri, tanpri, wete m’ nan tray kote m’ ye a.
12 Ou renmen m’ anpil. Fè tout lènmi m’ yo disparèt. Detwi tout moun k’ap peze m’ yo, paske se sèvitè ou mwen ye.

1 Psaume de David. Éternel, écoute ma prière, prête l’oreille à mes supplications! Exauce-moi dans ta fidélité, dans ta justice!
2 N’entre pas en jugement avec ton serviteur! Car aucun vivant n’est juste devant toi.
3 L’ennemi poursuit mon âme, Il foule à terre ma vie; Il me fait habiter dans les ténèbres, Comme ceux qui sont morts depuis longtemps.
4 Mon esprit est abattu au dedans de moi, Mon coeur est troublé dans mon sein.
5 Je me souviens des jours d’autrefois, Je médite sur toutes tes oeuvres, Je réfléchis sur l’ouvrage de tes mains.
6 J’étends mes mains vers toi; Mon âme soupire après toi, comme une terre desséchée. Pause.
7 Hâte-toi de m’exaucer, ô Éternel! Mon esprit se consume. Ne me cache pas ta face! Je serais semblable à ceux qui descendent dans la fosse.
8 Fais-moi dès le matin entendre ta bonté! Car je me confie en toi. Fais-moi connaître le chemin où je dois marcher! Car j’élève à toi mon âme.
9 Délivre-moi de mes ennemis, ô Éternel! Auprès de toi je cherche un refuge.
10 Enseigne-moi à faire ta volonté! Car tu es mon Dieu. Que ton bon esprit me conduise sur la voie droite!
11 A cause de ton nom, Éternel, rends-moi la vie! Dans ta justice, retire mon âme de la détresse!
12 Dans ta bonté, anéantis mes ennemis, Et fais périr tous les oppresseurs de mon âme! Car je suis ton serviteur.

Psalm 143
1 Hear my prayer, O Lord, give ear to my supplications: in thy faithfulness answer me, and in thy righteousness.
2 And enter not into judgment with thy servant: for in thy sight shall no man living be justified.
3 For the enemy hath persecuted my soul; he hath smitten my life down to the ground; he hath made me to dwell in darkness, as those that have been long dead.
4 Therefore is my spirit overwhelmed within me; my heart within me is desolate.
5 I remember the days of old; I meditate on all thy works; I muse on the work of thy hands.
6 I stretch forth my hands unto thee: my soul thirsteth after thee, as a thirsty land. Selah.
7 Hear me speedily, O Lord: my spirit faileth: hide not thy face from me, lest I be like unto them that go down into the pit.
8 Cause me to hear thy lovingkindness in the morning; for in thee do I trust: cause me to know the way wherein I should walk; for I lift up my soul unto thee.
9 Deliver me, O Lord, from mine enemies: I flee unto thee to hide me.
10 Teach me to do thy will; for thou art my God: thy spirit is good; lead me into the land of uprightness.
11 Quicken me, O Lord, for thy name’s sake: for thy righteousness’ sake bring my soul out of trouble.
12 And of thy mercy cut off mine enemies, and destroy all them that afflict my soul: for I am thy servant.
