1 Seyè a pale ak Moyiz, li di l’ konsa:
2 -Bay moun pèp Izrayèl yo lòd pou yo mete deyò nan kan kote yo rete a tout moun ki gen move maladi po, moun ki gen ekoulman, osinon moun ki pa nan kondisyon pou sèvi Bondye paske yo manyen kadav moun mouri.
3 Wi, se pou nou mete tout moun ki pa nan kondisyon pou sèvi m’ yo deyò nan kan an, fanm kou gason, pou yo pa mete kan kote m’ap viv nan mitan pèp mwen an nan kondisyon li pa ka sèvi m’.
4 Se konsa, moun pèp Izrayèl yo fè sa Seyè a te di Moyiz la. Yo mete tout moun sa yo deyò nan kan kote yo rete a.
5 Seyè a pale ak Moyiz, li di l’ konsa:
6 -Pale ak moun pèp Izrayèl yo. Lè yon gason osinon yon fanm pa kenbe pawòl l’ ak Seyè a, l’ al fè yon bagay mal kont yon moun, l’ antò.
7 Moun ki antò a va rekonèt devan tout moun li te fè yon bagay mal, epi li va renmèt tout sa l’ te pran an bay moun li te fè tò a plis vin pou san (20%) lavalè.
8 Men, si moun li te fè tò a mouri san li pa kite yon fanmi pre ki pou resevwa sa y’ap renmèt l’ a, y’a pran sa l’ap renmèt la, y’a ofri l’ bay Seyè a pou prèt yo. Apre sa, moun lan ap toujou gen pou l’ ofri bay Bondye yon belye mouton pou repare sa l’ te fè ki mal la.
9 Tout ofrann moun Izrayèl yo mete apa pou Seyè a va rete pou prèt y’ al jwenn pou fè ofrann lan.
10 Tout ofrann yon moun pote bay prèt la va rete pou prèt la. Tou sa yon moun pote renmèt va rete pou prèt la tou.
11 Seyè a pale ak Moyiz, li di l’ konsa:
12 -Pale ak moun pèp Izrayèl yo. W’a di yo pou mwen: Sipoze madanm yon nonm lage kò l’ nan dezòd, epi l’ap twonpe mari l’,
13 si li kouche ak yon lòt gason san mari l’ pa konn sa, si li te kache kò l’ pandan li t’ap fè bagay ki mete l’ nan kondisyon pou li pa ka fè sèvis pou Bondye a, kifè pa gen temwen ki pou pale kont li, ni yo pa t’ kenbe l’ nan men,
14 osinon si yon mari vin sispèk madanm li nan dezòd, kifè madanm lan pa nan kondisyon pou l’ fè sèvis pou Bondye, kit madanm lan fè l’ vre, kit li pa fè l’,
15 nonm lan va mennen madanm lan bay prèt la, epi l’a pote ofrann madanm lan gen pou fè nan ka sa a: se va de liv farin lòj. Li p’ap bezwen vide lwil sou li, ni li p’ap bezwen mete lansan sou li, paske se yon ofrann l’ap fè paske li sispèk kichòy, se yon ofrann l’ap fè pou l’ ka konn verite a.
16 Apre sa, prèt la va fè madanm lan pwoche vin kanpe devan lotèl Seyè a.
17 Prèt la va pran ti gout dlo nan kivèt la, l’a mete l’ nan yon veso fèt an fè, l’a pran yon priz pousyè tè nan Tant Randevou a, l’a mete l’ nan dlo a.
18 Lèfini, l’a fè madanm lan kanpe devan lotèl Seyè a, l’a wete twal ki sou tèt madanm lan, epi l’a mete ofrann farin lan nan de pla men l’ yo. Prèt la menm va kenbe nan men l’ veso ki gen dlo anmè a, dlo ki bay madichon an.
19 Prèt la va mande madanm lan pou li sèmante. L’a di l’ konsa: Si ou pa kouche avèk okenn lòt gason pase avèk mari ou, si ou pa lage kò ou nan dezòd ki pou ta mete ou nan kondisyon pou ou pa ka fè sèvis pou Bondye, ou mèt bwè dlo anmè sa a, dlo ki bay madichon an, anyen p’ap rive ou.
20 Men, si ou te lage kò ou nan dezòd vre, si ou pa nan kondisyon pou ou fè sèvis pou Bondye, paske ou te kouche ak yon gason ki pa mari ou,
21 se pou Seyè a fè tout moun pran non ou pou bay madichon. Se pou l’ fè ou pa ka janm fè pitit. Se pou vant ou anfle.
22 Se pou dlo anmè ki bay madichon an antre nan vant ou pou fè l’ anfle, pou l’ fè ou pa ka janm fè pitit. Madanm lan va reponn: -Mwen dakò. Se pou Seyè a fè m’ sa vre, si m’ antò!
23 Lè sa a, prèt la va ekri sèman an yon kote, epi l’a lave kote li te ekri a ak dlo anmè a pou efase sa l’ te ekri a.
24 Apre sa, l’a fè madanm lan bwè dlo anmè ki bay madichon an, pou dlo a pase nan kò l’ ba li gwo doulè nan vant.
25 Prèt la va pran ofrann farin lan nan men madanm lan, l’a balanse l’ devan Seyè a tankou yon ofrann, epi l’a mete l’ sou lotèl la.
26 Apre sa, l’a pran yon ponyen nan farin lan, l’a ofri l’ bay Bondye, l’a boule l’ sou lotèl la. Se konsa l’a mete tout farin lan nèt apa pou Seyè a. Apre sa, l’a fè fanm lan bwè dlo a.
27 Si fanm lan te antò vre, si li te twonpe mari l’, dlo a va desann nan kò l’, l’a ba li gwo doulè. Vant li va anfle, li p’ap janm ka fè pitit ankò, epi non l’ va sèvi pou bay madichon.
28 Men, si fanm lan inonsan, si li te nan kondisyon pou fè sèvis Bondye, anyen p’ap rive l’, l’ap toujou ka fè pitit.
29 Se regleman sa a pou yo swiv lè yon fanm pran gason sou mari l’, lè li lage kò l’ nan dezòd pou l’ fè sa li pa t’ dwe fè,
30 osinon lè yon nonm sispèk madanm l’ ap twonpe l’. L’a mennen madanm lan devan lotèl Seyè a, epi prèt la va fè sèvis sa a pou madanm lan.
31 Mari a p’ap reskonsab anyen ki ka rive madanm lan. Men madanm lan, si l’ antò, va pote chay peche l’ la.

1 L’Éternel parla à Moïse, et dit:
2 Ordonne aux enfants d’Israël de renvoyer du camp tout lépreux, et quiconque a une gonorrhée ou est souillé par un mort.
3 Hommes ou femmes, vous les renverrez, vous les renverrez hors du camp, afin qu’ils ne souillent pas le camp au milieu duquel j’ai ma demeure.
4 Les enfants d’Israël firent ainsi, et ils les renvoyèrent hors du camp; comme l’Éternel l’avait ordonné à Moïse, ainsi firent les enfants d’Israël.
5 L’Éternel parla à Moïse, et dit:
6 Parle aux enfants d’Israël: Lorsqu’un homme ou une femme péchera contre son prochain en commettant une infidélité à l’égard de l’Éternel, et qu’il se rendra ainsi coupable,
7 il confessera son péché, et il restituera dans son entier l’objet mal acquis, en y ajoutant un cinquième; il le remettra à celui envers qui il s’est rendu coupable.
8 S’il n’y a personne qui ait droit à la restitution de l’objet mal acquis, cet objet revient à l’Éternel, au sacrificateur, outre le bélier expiatoire avec lequel on fera l’expiation pour le coupable.
9 Toute offrande de choses consacrées par les enfants d’Israël appartiendra au sacrificateur à qui elles seront présentées.
10 Les choses qu’on aura consacrées lui appartiendront, ce qu’on lui aura remis lui appartiendra.
11 L’Éternel parla à Moïse, et dit:
12 Parle aux enfants d’Israël, et tu leur diras: Si une femme se détourne de son mari, et lui devient infidèle;
13 si un autre a commerce avec elle, et que la chose soit cachée aux yeux de son mari; si elle s’est souillée en secret, sans qu’il y ait de témoin contre elle, et sans qu’elle ait été prise sur le fait; –
14 et si le mari est saisi d’un esprit de jalousie et a des soupçons sur sa femme, qui s’est souillée, ou bien s’il est saisi d’un esprit de jalousie et a des soupçons sur sa femme, qui ne s’est point souillée; –
15 cet homme amènera sa femme au sacrificateur, et apportera en offrande pour elle un dixième d’épha de farine d’orge; il n’y répandra point d’huile, et n’y mettra point d’encens, car c’est une offrande de jalousie, une offrande de souvenir, qui rappelle une iniquité.
16 Le sacrificateur la fera approcher, et la fera tenir debout devant l’Éternel.
17 Le sacrificateur prendra de l’eau sainte dans un vase de terre; il prendra de la poussière sur le sol du tabernacle, et la mettra dans l’eau.
18 Le sacrificateur fera tenir la femme debout devant l’Éternel; il découvrira la tête de la femme, et lui posera sur les mains l’offrande de souvenir, l’offrande de jalousie; le sacrificateur aura dans sa main les eaux amères qui apportent la malédiction.
19 Le sacrificateur fera jurer la femme, et lui dira: Si aucun homme n’a couché avec toi, et si, étant sous la puissance de ton mari, tu ne t’en es point détournée pour te souiller, ces eaux amères qui apportent la malédiction ne te seront point funestes.
20 Mais si, étant sous la puissance de ton mari, tu t’en es détournée et que tu te sois souillée, et si un autre homme que ton mari a couché avec toi, –
21 et le sacrificateur fera jurer la femme avec un serment d’imprécation, et lui dira: -Que l’Éternel te livre à la malédiction et à l’exécration au milieu de ton peuple, en faisant dessécher ta cuisse et enfler ton ventre,
22 et que ces eaux qui apportent la malédiction entrent dans tes entrailles pour te faire enfler le ventre et dessécher la cuisse! Et la femme dira: Amen! Amen!
23 Le sacrificateur écrira ces imprécations dans un livre, puis les effacera avec les eaux amères.
24 Et il fera boire à la femme les eaux amères qui apportent la malédiction, et les eaux qui apportent la malédiction entreront en elle pour produire l’amertume.
25 Le sacrificateur prendra des mains de la femme l’offrande de jalousie, il agitera l’offrande de côté et d’autre devant l’Éternel, et il l’offrira sur l’autel;
26 le sacrificateur prendra une poignée de cette offrande comme souvenir, et il la brûlera sur l’autel. C’est après cela qu’il fera boire les eaux à la femme.
27 Quand il aura fait boire les eaux, il arrivera, si elle s’est souillée et a été infidèle à son mari, que les eaux qui apportent la malédiction entreront en elle pour produire l’amertume; son ventre s’enflera, sa cuisse se desséchera, et cette femme sera en malédiction au milieu de son peuple.
28 Mais si la femme ne s’est point souillée et qu’elle soit pure, elle sera reconnue innocente et aura des enfants.
29 Telle est la loi sur la jalousie, pour le cas où une femme sous la puissance de son mari se détourne et se souille,
30 et pour le cas où un mari saisi d’un esprit de jalousie a des soupçons sur sa femme: le sacrificateur la fera tenir debout devant l’Éternel, et lui appliquera cette loi dans son entier.
31 Le mari sera exempt de faute, mais la femme portera la peine de son iniquité.

1 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,
2 Command the children of Israel, that they put out of the camp every leper, and every one that hath an issue, and whosoever is defiled by the dead:
3 Both male and female shall ye put out, without the camp shall ye put them; that they defile not their camps, in the midst whereof I dwell.
4 And the children of Israel did so, and put them out without the camp: as the Lord spake unto Moses, so did the children of Israel.
5 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,
6 Speak unto the children of Israel, When a man or woman shall commit any sin that men commit, to do a trespass against the Lord, and that person be guilty;
7 Then they shall confess their sin which they have done: and he shall recompense his trespass with the principal thereof, and add unto it the fifth part thereof, and give it unto him against whom he hath trespassed.
8 But if the man have no kinsman to recompense the trespass unto, let the trespass be recompensed unto the Lord, even to the priest; beside the ram of the atonement, whereby an atonement shall be made for him.
9 And every offering of all the holy things of the children of Israel, which they bring unto the priest, shall be his.
10 And every man’s hallowed things shall be his: whatsoever any man giveth the priest, it shall be his.
11 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,
12 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, If any man’s wife go aside, and commit a trespass against him,
13 And a man lie with her carnally, and it be hid from the eyes of her husband, and be kept close, and she be defiled, and there be no witness against her, neither she be taken with the manner;
14 And the spirit of jealousy come upon him, and he be jealous of his wife, and she be defiled: or if the spirit of jealousy come upon him, and he be jealous of his wife, and she be not defiled:
15 Then shall the man bring his wife unto the priest, and he shall bring her offering for her, the tenth part of an ephah of barley meal; he shall pour no oil upon it, nor put frankincense thereon; for it is an offering of jealousy, an offering of memorial, bringing iniquity to remembrance.
16 And the priest shall bring her near, and set her before the Lord:
17 And the priest shall take holy water in an earthen vessel; and of the dust that is in the floor of the tabernacle the priest shall take, and put it into the water:
18 And the priest shall set the woman before the Lord, and uncover the woman’s head, and put the offering of memorial in her hands, which is the jealousy offering: and the priest shall have in his hand the bitter water that causeth the curse:
19 And the priest shall charge her by an oath, and say unto the woman, If no man have lain with thee, and if thou hast not gone aside to uncleanness with another instead of thy husband, be thou free from this bitter water that causeth the curse:
20 But if thou hast gone aside to another instead of thy husband, and if thou be defiled, and some man have lain with thee beside thine husband:
21 Then the priest shall charge the woman with an oath of cursing, and the priest shall say unto the woman, The Lord make thee a curse and an oath among thy people, when the Lord doth make thy thigh to rot, and thy belly to swell;
22 And this water that causeth the curse shall go into thy bowels, to make thy belly to swell, and thy thigh to rot: And the woman shall say, Amen, amen.
23 And the priest shall write these curses in a book, and he shall blot them out with the bitter water:
24 And he shall cause the woman to drink the bitter water that causeth the curse: and the water that causeth the curse shall enter into her, and become bitter.
25 Then the priest shall take the jealousy offering out of the woman’s hand, and shall wave the offering before the Lord, and offer it upon the altar:
26 And the priest shall take an handful of the offering, even the memorial thereof, and burn it upon the altar, and afterward shall cause the woman to drink the water.
27 And when he hath made her to drink the water, then it shall come to pass, that, if she be defiled, and have done trespass against her husband, that the water that causeth the curse shall enter into her, and become bitter, and her belly shall swell, and her thigh shall rot: and the woman shall be a curse among her people.
28 And if the woman be not defiled, but be clean; then she shall be free, and shall conceive seed.
29 This is the law of jealousies, when a wife goeth aside to another instead of her husband, and is defiled;
30 Or when the spirit of jealousy cometh upon him, and he be jealous over his wife, and shall set the woman before the Lord, and the priest shall execute upon her all this law.
31 Then shall the man be guiltless from iniquity, and this woman shall bear her iniquity.
