2 Yonn t’ap di lòt: -Nou pa kapab arete l’ pandan jou fèt yo, paske sa ka kreye dezòd nan pèp la.
3 Jezi te Betani lakay Simon, nonm ki te gen maladi lalèp la. Pandan li te chita bò tab la, yon fanm vin antre. Li t’ap pote yon ti boutèy fèt an albat. Ti boutèy la te plen yon odè bon kalite ki fèt ak yon fèy yo rele n’a ki vann byen chè. Fanm lan kase kou boutèy la, epi li vide tout odè a sou tèt Jezi.
4 Nan moun ki te la yo, gen ladan yo ki pa t’ kontan menm, yonn t’ap di lòt: -Pouki tout gaspiyay odè sa a?
5 Yo ta kapab vann li twasan (300) goud pou pi ba pri, epi yo ta bay pòv lajan an. Yo t’ap kritike fanm lan byen fò.
6 Men Jezi di yo: -Kite l’ an repo. Pouki n’ap fè l’ tout lapenn sa a? Se yon bèl bagay li fè la a pou mwen.
7 Pòv yo, n’ap toujou genyen yo avèk nou; chak fwa nou vle, nou ka fè byen pou yo. Men, mwen menm, nou p’ap genyen m’ tout tan avèk nou.
8 Fanm lan fè sa l’ te kapab. Depi davans li tou benyen kò m’ pou lantèman mwen.

19 Lè sa a, kè disip yo kase; yonn apre lòt yo pran mande li: -Eske se mwen menm?
20 Li reponn yo: -Se yonn nan nou douz la k’ap tranpe pen ansanm avè m’ nan plat la.
21 Moun Bondye voye nan lachè a pral mouri, jan sa te ekri sou li a. Men, malè pou moun k’ap trayi l’ la. Li ta pi bon pou moun sa a si li pa t’ janm fèt.
22 Antan yo t’ap manje, Jezi pranpen, li di Bondye mèsi, li kase l’; li bay disip li yo, li di yo konsa: -Men, pran. Sa se kò mwen.
23 Apre sa, li pran yon gode diven tou, li di Bondye mèsi, li pase l’ ba yo, yo tout bwè ladan li.
24 Epi Jezi di yo: -Sa se san mwen, san ki siyen kontra Bondye ap fè ak nou an, san ki koule pou anpil moun.
25 Sa m’ap di nou la a, se vre wi: mwen p’ap janm bwè diven ankò, jouk jou m’a bwè yon diven nèf nan peyi kote Bondye Wa a.
26 Apre yo fin chante chante fèt la, yo soti, y’ ale mòn Oliv.
27 Jezi di disip li yo: -Nou tout, nou pral kouri kite m’ pou kont mwen; paske men sak te ekri: M’ap frape gadò mouton yo, epi tout mouton yo pral gaye nan bwa.
28 Men apre, lè m’a leve soti vivan nan lanmò, mwen pral tann nou nan peyi Galile.
29 Pyè di li: -Menm si tout moun ta kouri kite ou, mwen menm mwen p’ap janm fè sa.
30 Jezi reponn li: -Sa m’ap di ou la a, se vre wi: Jòdi a menm, pandan lannwit sa a, anvan kòk chante de fwa, wa gen tan di twa fwa ou pa janm konnen mwen.
31 Men, Pyè te kenbe la, li t’ap di: -Menm si m’ ta dwe mouri avè ou, mwen p’ap janm di sa. Tout lòt disip yo t’ap di menm bagay la tou.
32 Apre sa, yo rive yon kote yo rele Jetsemane. Jezi di disip li yo: -Chita la, mwen pral lapriyè pi devan.
33 Li pran Pyè, Jak ak Jan avè li. Lamenm, li santi yon frison nan rèl do l’ ak yon kè sere ki pran li.
34 Li di yo: -Mwen gen lapenn anpil. Mwen santi se mouri mwen vle mouri. Rete la a, pa kite dòmi pran nou.
35 Li ale yon ti kras pi lwen, li lage kò l’ fas atè, li lapriyè; li mande si se te posib pou l’ pa ta bezwen soufri tout soufri sa a.
36 Li t’ap di: -O! Papa mwen, nanpwen anyen ou pa kapab fè. Tanpri souple, wete gode soufrans sa a devan je mwen. Men, fè sa ou menm ou vle a. Pa fè sa mwen menm mwen ta vle a.

38 Pa dòmi, tande! Lapriyè fò pou nou pa tonbe anba tantasyon. Lespri nou byen dispoze, men se kò nou ki fèb.
39 Li kite yo ankò, li al fè menm lapriyè a.
40 Apre sa, li retounen. Li jwenn yo ap dòmi ankò paske yo pa t’ kapab kenbe je yo louvri. Yo pa t’ konn sa pou yo te reponn li.
41 Lè l’ tounen twazyèm fwa a, li di yo: -N’ap dòmi toujou? N’ap poze kò nou toujou? Sa ase koulye a. Lè a rive; men yo pral lage Moun Bondye voye nan lachè a nan men mechan yo.
42 Leve non. Ann ale. Men moun k’ap trayi m’ lan ap vini.
43 Jezi t’ap pale toujou lè Jida, yonn nan douz disip yo, vin rive. Li te gen yon bann moun ki te gen nepe ak baton nan men yo avèk li: se chèf prèt yo ak dirèktè lalwa yo ki te voye yo avèk li.
44 Jida, nonm ki t’ap trayi Jezi a, te gen dizon ak yo pou l’ ba yo yon siyal. Li te di yo: -Moun n’a wè m’ bo a se li menm n’ap chache a. Mete men sou li, mennen li ale, pa kite l’ chape.
45 Rive Jida rive, li pwoche bò kot Jezi, li di li: -Mèt! Epi li bo li.
46 Menm lè a, moun yo mete men sou Jezi, yo arete li.
47 Yonn nan disip yo rale nepe l’, li frape domestik granprèt la; li koupe yon zòrèy li.
48 Jezi pran lapawòl, li di yo: -Nou vin dèyè m’ ak nepe, ak baton, tankou si m’ te yon ansasen.
49 Men, toulèjou mwen te la nan mitan nou, mwen t’ap pale nan tanp lan; lè sa a nou pa t’ janm arete mwen. Men, tou sa pase konsa pou sa ki ekri a ka rive vre.
50 Lè sa a tout disip yo kite l’, yo pran kouri.
51 Te gen yon jenn gason ki t’ap swiv Jezi; li te gen yon dra ase sou li. Yo mete men sou msye.
52 Men, li lage dra a, li chape nan men yo toutouni.
53 Yo mennen Jezi kay granprèt la. Se la tout chèf prèt yo, chèf fanmi yo ak dirèktè lalwa yo te reyini.

60 Lè sa a, granprèt la leve nan mitan asanble a, li poze Jezi keksyon, li di l’ konsa: -Ou pa reponn anyen? Kisa mesye yo ap di sou ou konsa?
61 Jezi pa louvri bouch li, li pa reponn anyen. Granprèt la keksyonnen li ankò, li mande l’: -Eske se ou ki Kris la, Pitit Bondye ki merite lwanj la?
62 Jezi reponn li: -Wi, se mwen menm. Nou gen pou nou wè m’, mwen menm, Moun Bondye voye nan lachè a, chita sou bò dwat Bondye ki gen pouvwa a, n’a wè m’ tou ap vini anwo nwaj yo nan syèl la.
63 Lè sa a, granprèt la chire rad ki te sou li a, li di: -Sa nou bezwen temwen ankò fè?
64 Nou sot tande jan l’ pale mal sou Bondye. Sa nou di nan sa? Yo tout deklare Jezi koupab, yo di li merite lanmò.
65 Kèk ladan yo tonbe krache sou li, yo bouche je l’, yo pran ba l’ koutpwen. Lèfini yo di li: -Si ou konnen di nou ki moun k’ap fè ou sa? Menm gad yo pran bay Jezi souflèt.
66 Antan Pyè te anba nan lakou a, yonn nan sèvant granprèt la vin rive.
67 Li wè Pyè ap chofe, li gade l’ byen. Li di l’ konsa: -Ou menm tou, ou te avèk Jezi, moun Nazarèt la?
68 Pyè reponn: -Mwen pa konnen. Mwen pa konprann sa ou vle di la a. Epi Pyè soti pou li al nan pyès devan kay la. Menm lè a, yon kòk chante.
69 Menm sèvant lan wè l’ ankò. Li pran di moun ki te la yo: -Nonm sa a fè pati moun sa yo wi.
70 Men Pyè demanti l’ ankò. Yon kadè apre, moun ki te la yo di Pyè ankò: -Se vre, monchè. Ou fè pati moun sa yo, ou se moun Galile.
71 Lè sa a, Pyè kòmanse di: -Mwen mande Bondye nenpòt bagay rive m’ si m’ manti: mwen pa konnen nonm n’ap pale la a.
72 Menm lè a, kòk la chante yon dezyèm fwa. Lè sa a Pyè vin chonje pawòl Jezi te di l’ la: anvan kòk chante de fwa, w’a gen tan di twa fwa ou pa janm konnen mwen. Epi li tonbe kriye.

1 La fête de Pâque et des pains sans levain devait avoir lieu deux jours après. Les principaux sacrificateurs et les scribes cherchaient les moyens d’arrêter Jésus par ruse, et de le faire mourir.
2 Car ils disaient: Que ce ne soit pas pendant la fête, afin qu’il n’y ait pas de tumulte parmi le peuple.
3 Comme Jésus était à Béthanie, dans la maison de Simon le lépreux, une femme entra, pendant qu’il se trouvait à table. Elle tenait un vase d’albâtre, qui renfermait un parfum de nard pur de grand prix; et, ayant rompu le vase, elle répandit le parfum sur la tête de Jésus.
4 Quelques-uns exprimèrent entre eux leur indignation: A quoi bon perdre ce parfum?
5 On aurait pu le vendre plus de trois cents deniers, et les donner aux pauvres. Et ils s’irritaient contre cette femme.
6 Mais Jésus dit: Laissez-la. Pourquoi lui faites-vous de la peine? Elle a fait une bonne action à mon égard;
7 car vous avez toujours les pauvres avec vous, et vous pouvez leur faire du bien quand vous voulez, mais vous ne m’avez pas toujours.
8 Elle a fait ce qu’elle a pu; elle a d’avance embaumé mon corps pour la sépulture.
9 Je vous le dis en vérité, partout où la bonne nouvelle sera prêchée, dans le monde entier, on racontera aussi en mémoire de cette femme ce qu’elle a fait.
10 Judas Iscariot, l’un des douze, alla vers les principaux sacrificateurs, afin de leur livrer Jésus.
11 Après l’avoir entendu, ils furent dans la joie, et promirent de lui donner de l’argent. Et Judas cherchait une occasion favorable pour le livrer.
12 Le premier jour des pains sans levain, où l’on immolait la Pâque, les disciples de Jésus lui dirent: Où veux-tu que nous allions te préparer la Pâque?
13 Et il envoya deux de ses disciples, et leur dit: Allez à la ville; vous rencontrerez un homme portant une cruche d’eau, suivez-le.
14 Quelque part qu’il entre, dites au maître de la maison: Le maître dit: Où est le lieu où je mangerai la Pâque avec mes disciples?
15 Et il vous montrera une grande chambre haute, meublée et toute prête: c’est là que vous nous préparerez la Pâque.
16 Les disciples partirent, arrivèrent à la ville, et trouvèrent les choses comme il le leur avait dit; et ils préparèrent la Pâque.
17 Le soir étant venu, il arriva avec les douze.
18 Pendant qu’ils étaient à table et qu’ils mangeaient, Jésus dit: Je vous le dis en vérité, l’un de vous, qui mange avec moi, me livrera.
19 Ils commencèrent à s’attrister, et à lui dire, l’un après l’autre: Est-ce moi?
20 Il leur répondit: C’est l’un des douze, qui met avec moi la main dans le plat.
21 Le Fils de l’homme s’en va selon ce qui est écrit de lui. Mais malheur à l’homme par qui le Fils de l’homme est livré! Mieux vaudrait pour cet homme qu’il ne fût pas né.
22 Pendant qu’ils mangeaient, Jésus prit du pain; et, après avoir rendu grâces, il le rompit, et le leur donna, en disant: Prenez, ceci est mon corps.
23 Il prit ensuite une coupe; et, après avoir rendu grâces, il la leur donna, et ils en burent tous.
24 Et il leur dit: Ceci est mon sang, le sang de l’alliance, qui est répandu pour plusieurs.
25 Je vous le dis en vérité, je ne boirai plus jamais du fruit de la vigne, jusqu’au jour où je le boirai nouveau dans le royaume de Dieu.
26 Après avoir chanté les cantiques, ils se rendirent à la montagne des oliviers.
27 Jésus leur dit: Vous serez tous scandalisés; car il est écrit: Je frapperai le berger, et les brebis seront dispersées.
28 Mais, après que je serai ressuscité, je vous précéderai en Galilée.
29 Pierre lui dit: Quand tous seraient scandalisés, je ne serai pas scandalisé.
30 Et Jésus lui dit: Je te le dis en vérité, toi, aujourd’hui, cette nuit même, avant que le coq chante deux fois, tu me renieras trois fois.
31 Mais Pierre reprit plus fortement: Quand il me faudrait mourir avec toi, je ne te renierai pas. Et tous dirent la même chose.
32 Ils allèrent ensuite dans un lieu appelé Gethsémané, et Jésus dit à ses disciples: Asseyez-vous ici, pendant que je prierai.
33 Il prit avec lui Pierre, Jacques et Jean, et il commença à éprouver de la frayeur et des angoisses.
34 Il leur dit: Mon âme est triste jusqu’à la mort; restez ici, et veillez.
35 Puis, ayant fait quelques pas en avant, il se jeta contre terre, et pria que, s’il était possible, cette heure s’éloignât de lui.
36 Il disait: Abba, Père, toutes choses te sont possibles, éloigne de moi cette coupe! Toutefois, non pas ce que je veux, mais ce que tu veux.
37 Et il vint vers les disciples, qu’il trouva endormis, et il dit à Pierre: Simon, tu dors! Tu n’as pu veiller une heure!
38 Veillez et priez, afin que vous ne tombiez pas en tentation; l’esprit est bien disposé, mais la chair est faible.
39 Il s’éloigna de nouveau, et fit la même prière.
40 Il revint, et les trouva encore endormis; car leurs yeux étaient appesantis. Ils ne surent que lui répondre.
41 Il revint pour la troisième fois, et leur dit: Dormez maintenant, et reposez-vous! C’est assez! L’heure est venue; voici, le Fils de l’homme est livré aux mains des pécheurs.
42 Levez-vous, allons; voici, celui qui me livre s’approche.
43 Et aussitôt, comme il parlait encore, arriva Judas l’un des douze, et avec lui une foule armée d’épées et de bâtons, envoyée par les principaux sacrificateurs, par les scribes et par les anciens.
44 Celui qui le livrait leur avait donné ce signe: Celui que je baiserai, c’est lui; saisissez-le, et emmenez-le sûrement.
45 Dès qu’il fut arrivé, il s’approcha de Jésus, disant: Rabbi! Et il le baisa.
46 Alors ces gens mirent la main sur Jésus, et le saisirent.
47 Un de ceux qui étaient là, tirant l’épée, frappa le serviteur du souverain sacrificateur, et lui emporta l’oreille.
48 Jésus, prenant la parole, leur dit: Vous êtes venus, comme après un brigand, avec des épées et des bâtons, pour vous emparer de moi.
49 J’étais tous les jours parmi vous, enseignant dans le temple, et vous ne m’avez pas saisi. Mais c’est afin que les Écritures soient accomplies.
50 Alors tous l’abandonnèrent, et prirent la fuite.
51 Un jeune homme le suivait, n’ayant sur le corps qu’un drap. On se saisit de lui;
52 mais il lâcha son vêtement, et se sauva tout nu.
53 Ils emmenèrent Jésus chez le souverain sacrificateur, où s’assemblèrent tous les principaux sacrificateurs, les anciens et les scribes.
54 Pierre le suivit de loin jusque dans l’intérieur de la cour du souverain sacrificateur; il s’assit avec les serviteurs, et il se chauffait près du feu.
55 Les principaux sacrificateurs et tout le sanhédrin cherchaient un témoignage contre Jésus, pour le faire mourir, et ils n’en trouvaient point;
56 car plusieurs rendaient de faux témoignages contre lui, mais les témoignages ne s’accordaient pas.
57 Quelques-uns se levèrent, et portèrent un faux témoignage contre lui, disant:
58 Nous l’avons entendu dire: Je détruirai ce temple fait de main d’homme, et en trois jours j’en bâtirai un autre qui ne sera pas fait de main d’homme.
59 Même sur ce point-là leur témoignage ne s’accordait pas.
60 Alors le souverain sacrificateur, se levant au milieu de l’assemblée, interrogea Jésus, et dit: Ne réponds-tu rien? Qu’est-ce que ces gens déposent contre toi?
61 Jésus garda le silence, et ne répondit rien. Le souverain sacrificateur l’interrogea de nouveau, et lui dit: Es-tu le Christ, le Fils du Dieu béni?
62 Jésus répondit: Je le suis. Et vous verrez le Fils de l’homme assis à la droite de la puissance de Dieu, et venant sur les nuées du ciel.
63 Alors le souverain sacrificateur déchira ses vêtements, et dit: Qu’avons-nous encore besoin de témoins?
64 Vous avez entendu le blasphème. Que vous en semble? Tous le condamnèrent comme méritant la mort.
65 Et quelques-uns se mirent à cracher sur lui, à lui voiler le visage et à le frapper à coups de poing, en lui disant: Devine! Et les serviteurs le reçurent en lui donnant des soufflets.
66 Pendant que Pierre était en bas dans la cour, il vint une des servantes du souverain sacrificateur.
67 Voyant Pierre qui se chauffait, elle le regarda, et lui dit: Toi aussi, tu étais avec Jésus de Nazareth.
68 Il le nia, disant: Je ne sais pas, je ne comprends pas ce que tu veux dire. Puis il sortit pour aller dans le vestibule. Et le coq chanta.
69 La servante, l’ayant vu, se mit de nouveau à dire à ceux qui étaient présents: Celui-ci est de ces gens-là. Et il le nia de nouveau.
70 Peu après, ceux qui étaient présents dirent encore à Pierre: Certainement tu es de ces gens-là, car tu es Galiléen.
71 Alors il commença à faire des imprécations et à jurer: Je ne connais pas cet homme dont vous parlez.
72 Aussitôt, pour la seconde fois, le coq chanta. Et Pierre se souvint de la parole que Jésus lui avait dite: Avant que le coq chante deux fois, tu me renieras trois fois. Et en y réfléchissant, il pleurait.

1 After two days was the feast of the passover, and of unleavened bread: and the chief priests and the scribes sought how they might take him by craft, and put him to death.
2 But they said, Not on the feast day, lest there be an uproar of the people.
3 And being in Bethany in the house of Simon the leper, as he sat at meat, there came a woman having an alabaster box of ointment of spikenard very precious; and she brake the box, and poured it on his head.
4 And there were some that had indignation within themselves, and said, Why was this waste of the ointment made?
5 For it might have been sold for more than three hundred pence, and have been given to the poor. And they murmured against her.
6 And Jesus said, Let her alone; why trouble ye her? she hath wrought a good work on me.
7 For ye have the poor with you always, and whensoever ye will ye may do them good: but me ye have not always.
8 She hath done what she could: she is come aforehand to anoint my body to the burying.
9 Verily I say unto you, Wheresoever this gospel shall be preached throughout the whole world, this also that she hath done shall be spoken of for a memorial of her.
10 And Judas Iscariot, one of the twelve, went unto the chief priests, to betray him unto them.
11 And when they heard it, they were glad, and promised to give him money. And he sought how he might conveniently betray him.
12 And the first day of unleavened bread, when they killed the passover, his disciples said unto him, Where wilt thou that we go and prepare that thou mayest eat the passover?
13 And he sendeth forth two of his disciples, and saith unto them, Go ye into the city, and there shall meet you a man bearing a pitcher of water: follow him.
14 And wheresoever he shall go in, say ye to the goodman of the house, The Master saith, Where is the guestchamber, where I shall eat the passover with my disciples?
15 And he will shew you a large upper room furnished and prepared: there make ready for us.
16 And his disciples went forth, and came into the city, and found as he had said unto them: and they made ready the passover.
17 And in the evening he cometh with the twelve.
18 And as they sat and did eat, Jesus said, Verily I say unto you, One of you which eateth with me shall betray me.
19 And they began to be sorrowful, and to say unto him one by one, Is it I? and another said, Is it I?
20 And he answered and said unto them, It is one of the twelve, that dippeth with me in the dish.
21 The Son of man indeed goeth, as it is written of him: but woe to that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed! good were it for that man if he had never been born.
22 And as they did eat, Jesus took bread, and blessed, and brake it, and gave to them, and said, Take, eat: this is my body.
23 And he took the cup, and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them: and they all drank of it.
24 And he said unto them, This is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many.
25 Verily I say unto you, I will drink no more of the fruit of the vine, until that day that I drink it new in the kingdom of God.
26 And when they had sung an hymn, they went out into the mount of Olives.
27 And Jesus saith unto them, All ye shall be offended because of me this night: for it is written, I will smite the shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered.
28 But after that I am risen, I will go before you into Galilee.
29 But Peter said unto him, Although all shall be offended, yet will not I.
30 And Jesus saith unto him, Verily I say unto thee, That this day, even in this night, before the cock crow twice, thou shalt deny me thrice.
31 But he spake the more vehemently, If I should die with thee, I will not deny thee in any wise. Likewise also said they all.
32 And they came to a place which was named Gethsemane: and he saith to his disciples, Sit ye here, while I shall pray.
33 And he taketh with him Peter and James and John, and began to be sore amazed, and to be very heavy;
34 And saith unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful unto death: tarry ye here, and watch.
35 And he went forward a little, and fell on the ground, and prayed that, if it were possible, the hour might pass from him.
36 And he said, Abba, Father, all things are possible unto thee; take away this cup from me: nevertheless not what I will, but what thou wilt.
37 And he cometh, and findeth them sleeping, and saith unto Peter, Simon, sleepest thou? couldest not thou watch one hour?
38 Watch ye and pray, lest ye enter into temptation. The spirit truly is ready, but the flesh is weak.
39 And again he went away, and prayed, and spake the same words.
40 And when he returned, he found them asleep again, (for their eyes were heavy,) neither wist they what to answer him.
41 And he cometh the third time, and saith unto them, Sleep on now, and take your rest: it is enough, the hour is come; behold, the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinners.
42 Rise up, let us go; lo, he that betrayeth me is at hand.
43 And immediately, while he yet spake, cometh Judas, one of the twelve, and with him a great multitude with swords and staves, from the chief priests and the scribes and the elders.
44 And he that betrayed him had given them a token, saying, Whomsoever I shall kiss, that same is he; take him, and lead him away safely.
45 And as soon as he was come, he goeth straightway to him, and saith, Master, master; and kissed him.
46 And they laid their hands on him, and took him.
47 And one of them that stood by drew a sword, and smote a servant of the high priest, and cut off his ear.
48 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Are ye come out, as against a thief, with swords and with staves to take me?
49 I was daily with you in the temple teaching, and ye took me not: but the scriptures must be fulfilled.
50 And they all forsook him, and fled.
51 And there followed him a certain young man, having a linen cloth cast about his naked body; and the young men laid hold on him:
52 And he left the linen cloth, and fled from them naked.
53 And they led Jesus away to the high priest: and with him were assembled all the chief priests and the elders and the scribes.
54 And Peter followed him afar off, even into the palace of the high priest: and he sat with the servants, and warmed himself at the fire.
55 And the chief priests and all the council sought for witness against Jesus to put him to death; and found none.
56 For many bare false witness against him, but their witness agreed not together.
57 And there arose certain, and bare false witness against him, saying,
58 We heard him say, I will destroy this temple that is made with hands, and within three days I will build another made without hands.
59 But neither so did their witness agree together.
60 And the high priest stood up in the midst, and asked Jesus, saying, Answerest thou nothing? what is it which these witness against thee?
61 But he held his peace, and answered nothing. Again the high priest asked him, and said unto him, Art thou the Christ, the Son of the Blessed?
62 And Jesus said, I am: and ye shall see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.
63 Then the high priest rent his clothes, and saith, What need we any further witnesses?
64 Ye have heard the blasphemy: what think ye? And they all condemned him to be guilty of death.
65 And some began to spit on him, and to cover his face, and to buffet him, and to say unto him, Prophesy: and the servants did strike him with the palms of their hands.
66 And as Peter was beneath in the palace, there cometh one of the maids of the high priest:
67 And when she saw Peter warming himself, she looked upon him, and said, And thou also wast with Jesus of Nazareth.
68 But he denied, saying, I know not, neither understand I what thou sayest. And he went out into the porch; and the cock crew.
69 And a maid saw him again, and began to say to them that stood by, This is one of them.
70 And he denied it again. And a little after, they that stood by said again to Peter, Surely thou art one of them: for thou art a Galilaean, and thy speech agreeth thereto.
71 But he began to curse and to swear, saying, I know not this man of whom ye speak.
72 And the second time the cock crew. And Peter called to mind the word that Jesus said unto him, Before the cock crow twice, thou shalt deny me thrice. And when he thought thereon, he wept.
