Jenèz 50

1 Jozèf lage kò l’ sou papa l’, ali kriye kont li, li bo l’ nan figi.
2 Apre sa, Jozèf rele dòktè ki t’ap sèvi l’ yo, li fè yo pare kadav la. Se sa menm dòktè yo fè.
3 Yo pran karant jou pou pare kadav la jan yo konn fè l’ la. Apre sa, moun peyi Lejip yo pase swasanndi jou ap kriye pou li.
4 Lè tout swasanndi jou yo fin pase, jou pou antèman an rive. Jozèf pale ak moun lakay farawon yo, li di yo konsa: -Tanpri souple, rann mwen sèvis sa a. Pote komisyon sa a bay farawon an pou mwen.
5 Di l’ pou mwen: Anvan papa m’ te mouri li te fè m’ sèmante pou m’ te antere l’ nan kavo li te fè pare pou li nan peyi Kanaran. Tanpri, kite m’ moute al antere papa m’. Apre sa, m’a tounen.
6 Farawon an voye reponn li: -Ou mèt al antere papa ou, jan ou te sèmante ba li a.
7  Se konsa Jozèf moute al antere papa l’. tout moun lakay farawon yo, tout chèf ak tout notab peyi Lejip yo ale ak li,
8 ansanm ak tout fanmi Jozèf yo, frè l’ yo, ak tout fanmi papa l’ yo. Men yo te kite tout timoun piti yo Gochenn ansanm ak bèt yo, mouton, kabrit ak bèf.
9 Te gen anpil cha ak anpil kavalye sou chwal ki t ale avek li. Kifè pa t’ manke moun nan lantèman an.
10 Lè yo rive nan glasi Atad ki lòt bò larivyè Jouden, kote sòlèy leve a, yo pran rele byen fò. Jozèf te fè yo fè sèvis la pandan sèt jou pou papa l’.
11 Lè moun peyi Kanaran yo wè sèvis lantèman yo t’ap fè Atad la, yo di: -Ala yon grannèg ki mouri lakay moun peyi Lejip yo papa! Se poutèt sa yo rele glasi ki lòt bò larivyè Jouden an: Glasi lapenn moun peyi Lejip yo.
12 Konsa, pitit gason Jakòb yo te fè jan papa yo te ba yo lòd fè a.
13 Yo pote kadav li nan peyi Kanaran, yo antere l’ nan twou wòch ki te nan jaden Makpela a, anfas Manmre. Se jaden sa a Abraram te achte nan men Efwon, moun Et la, pou sèvi l’ simityè.
14 Apre Jozèf fin antere papa l’, li tounen Lejip ansanm ak frè l’ yo ak tout moun ki te moute avè l’ pou lantèman papa l’ la.
15  Apre lanmò papa yo, frè Jozèf yo di: -Ou pa janm konnen. Jozèf ka kenbe nou nan kè, li ka fè nou peye tout sa nou te fè l’ yo.
16 Se konsa yo voye di Jozèf: -Men komisyon papa te ban nou pou ou anvan l’ te mouri:
17 Men sa n’a di Jozèf pou mwen: Tanpri, padonnen krim frè ou yo te fè ou la. Padonnen peche yo paske yo te fè ou mal anpil. Koulye a atò, tanpri, padonnen mal nou te fè ou la, nou menm k’ap sèvi Bondye papa ou la. Lè Jozèf tande pawòl sa a, li pran kriye.
18 Apre sa, frè l’ yo vini yo menm menm, yo bese tèt yo jouk atè devan li, yo di l’ konsa: -Men nou pote tèt nou pou nou sèvi ou domestik.
19 Jozèf di yo: -Nou pa bezwen pè. Mwen pa kapab pran plas Bondye.
20 Nou te moute konplo pou fè m’ mal. Men Bondye fè sa tounen yon byen, pou l’ te fè sak rive jòdi a rive, pou l’ te ka sove lavi tout kantite moun sa yo.
21 Non. Nou pa bezwen pè. M’ap okipe nou, nou menm ansanm ak tout pitit nou yo. Se konsa, Jozèf te pale byen ak frè l’ yo, li te di yo pawòl ki te touche kè yo, li remoute kouraj yo.
22  Jozèf te rete nan peyi Lejip ak tout fanmi papa l’ yo. Li te gen sandizan (110 an) lè l’ mouri.
23 Li te gen tan wè pitit ak pitit pitit Efrayim. Se nan men l’ pitit Maki yo te fèt. Maki sa a te pitit Manase.
24 Li di frè l’ yo konsa: -Mwen pral mouri. Men mwen sèten Bondye gen pou vin ede nou. L’ap fè nou kite peyi sa a, l’ap fè nou tounen nan peyi li te sèmante l’ap bay Abraram, Izarak ak Jakòb la.
25 Apre sa, Jozèf fè pitit Izrayèl yo sèmante ba li, li di yo: -Wi, Bondye gen pou vin ede nou. Lè sa a, tanpri, pote zosman m’ yo moute ak nou.
26 Lè Jozèf mouri li te gen sandizan (110 an). Yo benyen kadav la, yo pare l’ pou l’ pa pouri. Yo mete l’ nan yon sèkèy byen fèmen nan peyi Lejip. 

Genèse 50

1 Joseph se jeta sur le visage de son père, pleura sur lui, et le baisa.
2 Il ordonna aux médecins à son service d’embaumer son père, et les médecins embaumèrent Israël.
3 Quarante jours s’écoulèrent ainsi, et furent employés à l’embaumer. Et les Égyptiens le pleurèrent soixante-dix jours.
4 Quand les jours du deuil furent passés, Joseph s’adressa aux gens de la maison de Pharaon, et leur dit: Si j’ai trouvé grâce à vos yeux, rapportez, je vous prie, à Pharaon ce que je vous dis.
5 Mon père m’a fait jurer, en disant: Voici, je vais mourir! Tu m’enterreras dans le sépulcre que je me suis acheté au pays de Canaan. Je voudrais donc y monter, pour enterrer mon père; et je reviendrai.
6 Pharaon répondit: Monte, et enterre ton père, comme il te l’a fait jurer.
7 Joseph monta, pour enterrer son père. Avec lui montèrent tous les serviteurs de Pharaon, anciens de sa maison, tous les anciens du pays d’Égypte,
8 toute la maison de Joseph, ses frères, et la maison de son père: on ne laissa dans le pays de Gosen que les enfants, les brebis et les boeufs.
9 Il y avait encore avec Joseph des chars et des cavaliers, en sorte que le cortège était très nombreux.
10 Arrivés à l’aire d’Athad, qui est au delà du Jourdain, ils firent entendre de grandes et profondes lamentations; et Joseph fit en l’honneur de son père un deuil de sept jours.
11 Les habitants du pays, les Cananéens, furent témoins de ce deuil dans l’aire d’Athad, et ils dirent: Voilà un grand deuil parmi les Égyptiens! C’est pourquoi l’on a donné le nom d’Abel Mitsraïm à cette aire qui est au delà du Jourdain.
12 C’est ainsi que les fils de Jacob exécutèrent les ordres de leur père.
13 Ils le transportèrent au pays de Canaan, et l’enterrèrent dans la caverne du champ de Macpéla, qu’Abraham avait achetée d’Éphron, le Héthien, comme propriété sépulcrale, et qui est vis-à-vis de Mamré.
14 Joseph, après avoir enterré son père, retourna en Égypte, avec ses frères et tous ceux qui étaient montés avec lui pour enterrer son père.
15 Quand les frères de Joseph virent que leur père était mort, ils dirent: Si Joseph nous prenait en haine, et nous rendait tout le mal que nous lui avons fait!
16 Et ils firent dire à Joseph: Ton père a donné cet ordre avant de mourir:
17 Vous parlerez ainsi à Joseph: Oh! pardonne le crime de tes frères et leur péché, car ils t’ont fait du mal! Pardonne maintenant le péché des serviteurs du Dieu de ton père! Joseph pleura, en entendant ces paroles.
18 Ses frères vinrent eux-mêmes se prosterner devant lui, et ils dirent: Nous sommes tes serviteurs.
19 Joseph leur dit: Soyez sans crainte; car suis-je à la place de Dieu?
20 Vous aviez médité de me faire du mal: Dieu l’a changé en bien, pour accomplir ce qui arrive aujourd’hui, pour sauver la vie à un peuple nombreux.
21 Soyez donc sans crainte; je vous entretiendrai, vous et vos enfants. Et il les consola, en parlant à leur coeur.
22 Joseph demeura en Égypte, lui et la maison de son père. Il vécut cent dix ans.
23 Joseph vit les fils d’Éphraïm jusqu’à la troisième génération; et les fils de Makir, fils de Manassé, naquirent sur ses genoux.
24 Joseph dit à ses frères: Je vais mourir! Mais Dieu vous visitera, et il vous fera remonter de ce pays-ci dans le pays qu’il a juré de donner à Abraham, à Isaac et à Jacob.
25 Joseph fit jurer les fils d’Israël, en disant: Dieu vous visitera; et vous ferez remonter mes os loin d’ici.
26 Joseph mourut, âgé de cent dix ans. On l’embauma, et on le mit dans un cercueil en Égypte.

Genesis 50

1 And Joseph fell upon his father’s face, and wept upon him, and kissed him.
2 And Joseph commanded his servants the physicians to embalm his father: and the physicians embalmed Israel.
3 And forty days were fulfilled for him; for so are fulfilled the days of those which are embalmed: and the Egyptians mourned for him threescore and ten days.
4 And when the days of his mourning were past, Joseph spake unto the house of Pharaoh, saying, If now I have found grace in your eyes, speak, I pray you, in the ears of Pharaoh, saying,
5 My father made me swear, saying, Lo, I die: in my grave which I have digged for me in the land of Canaan, there shalt thou bury me. Now therefore let me go up, I pray thee, and bury my father, and I will come again.
6 And Pharaoh said, Go up, and bury thy father, according as he made thee swear.
7 And Joseph went up to bury his father: and with him went up all the servants of Pharaoh, the elders of his house, and all the elders of the land of Egypt,
8 And all the house of Joseph, and his brethren, and his father’s house: only their little ones, and their flocks, and their herds, they left in the land of Goshen.
9 And there went up with him both chariots and horsemen: and it was a very great company.
10 And they came to the threshingfloor of Atad, which is beyond Jordan, and there they mourned with a great and very sore lamentation: and he made a mourning for his father seven days.
11 And when the inhabitants of the land, the Canaanites, saw the mourning in the floor of Atad, they said, This is a grievous mourning to the Egyptians: wherefore the name of it was called Abelmizraim, which is beyond Jordan.
12 And his sons did unto him according as he commanded them:
13 For his sons carried him into the land of Canaan, and buried him in the cave of the field of Machpelah, which Abraham bought with the field for a possession of a buryingplace of Ephron the Hittite, before Mamre.
14 And Joseph returned into Egypt, he, and his brethren, and all that went up with him to bury his father, after he had buried his father.
15 And when Joseph’s brethren saw that their father was dead, they said, Joseph will peradventure hate us, and will certainly requite us all the evil which we did unto him.
16 And they sent a messenger unto Joseph, saying, Thy father did command before he died, saying,
17 So shall ye say unto Joseph, Forgive, I pray thee now, the trespass of thy brethren, and their sin; for they did unto thee evil: and now, we pray thee, forgive the trespass of the servants of the God of thy father. And Joseph wept when they spake unto him.
18 And his brethren also went and fell down before his face; and they said, Behold, we be thy servants.
19 And Joseph said unto them, Fear not: for am I in the place of God?
20 But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive.
21 Now therefore fear ye not: I will nourish you, and your little ones. And he comforted them, and spake kindly unto them.
22 And Joseph dwelt in Egypt, he, and his father’s house: and Joseph lived an hundred and ten years.
23 And Joseph saw Ephraim’s children of the third generation: the children also of Machir the son of Manasseh were brought up upon Joseph’s knees.
24 And Joseph said unto his brethren, I die: and God will surely visit you, and bring you out of this land unto the land which he sware to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob.
25 And Joseph took an oath of the children of Israel, saying, God will surely visit you, and ye shall carry up my bones from hence.
26 So Joseph died, being an hundred and ten years old: and they embalmed him, and he was put in a coffin in Egypt.
