2 Li rele jeran an, li di li: Kisa m’ tande y’ap di sou ou konsa? vin fè regleman travay ou avè m’, paske mwen p’ap kite byen m’ yo sou kont ou ankò.
3 Jeran an di nan kè l’: Patwon an pral kase m’ nan djòb sa a; kisa m’ pral fè koulye a? Mwen pa gen fòs pou m’ al travay latè. Epi se va yon wont pou m’ al mande charite!
4 Bon, mwen konn sa m’ pral fè pou lè m’ pèdi djòb mwen m’a toujou gen moun ki pou resevwa m’ lakay yo.
5 Jeran an fè rele tout moun ki te dwe mèt la, li fè yo vini yonn apre lòt. Li di premye a: Konbe ou dwe mèt la?
6 Li reponn: Mwen dwe l’ san (100) bidon lwil. Msye di l’: Men papye ou la, chita, ekri senkant. Fè vit.
7 Apre sa, li di yon lòt; Ou menm, konbe ou dwe? Li reponn: San sak (100) mayi. Msye di l’: Men papye ou la, ekri katreven.
8 Nonm rich la fè jeran visye a konpliman dapre li te aji ak ladrès sa a. Paske moun k’ap viv dapre prensip lemonn yo regle zafè yo pi byen pase moun ki gen limyè a.
9 Jezi di yo ankò: Nou menm, men sa m’ap di nou: Bat pou nou fè zanmi ak richès ki sou latè. Konsa, lè richès nou va fini, y’a resevwa nou nan kay Bondye ki la pou tout tan an.
10 Moun ki kenbe pawòl li nan tout ti bagay, la kenbe l’ nan gwo bagay tou. Men, moun ki pa serye nan ti bagay, li p’ap serye nan gwo bagay non plis.
11 Si ou pa sèvi byen ak richès ou gen sou latè, kilès ki va fè ou konfyans pou richès tout bon yo?
12 Si ou pa t’ sèvi byen avèk sa ki te pou lòt moun, ki moun ki va ba ou sak pou ou a?
13 Pesonn pa ka sèvi de mèt byen anmenmtan. Li gen pou l’ rayi yonn si l’ renmen lòt la. L’ap sèvi yonn byen, men l’ap meprize lòt la. Nou pa ka sèvi Bondye ak lajan anmenmtan.
14 Farizyen yo t’ap koute tout pawòl sa yo tou. Yo t’ap pase Jezi nan betiz paske yo te renmen lajan.
15 Lè sa a Jezi di yo: Nou menm, n’ap chache parèt pou pi bon devan moun, men Bondye konnen sa ki nan kè nou. Bagay moun bay plis enpòtans, se yo Bondye pa vle wè.
16 Kòmandman Moyiz ak liv pwofèt yo te gen fòs lalwa jouk tan Jan Batis te rive. Men, depi lè sa a, se anonse y’ap anonse bon nouvèl peyi kote Bondye Wa a, se nan goumen pou moun antre ladan li.
17 Men, l’ap pi fasil pou syèl la ak tè a disparèt pase pou yon sèl ti detay nan lalwa a pèdi valè li.
18 Si yon nonm kite ak madanm li pou l’ marye ak yon lòt, nonm sa a fè adiltè. Lè yon mari kite madanm li, si yon lòt nonm marye ak madanm lan, nonm sa a fè adiltè tou.
19 Vwala, se te yon nonm rich ki te konn abiye ak bèl twal wouj e blan ki te koute chè. Chak jou, se te gwo fèt banbòch lakay li.
20 Te gen yon pòv yo rele Laza ki te kouche nan papòt nonm rich la. Laza te kouvri ak malenng.
21 Li te byen anvi plen vant li ak bagay ki t’ap soti tonbe anba tab nonm rich la. Sa ki pi rèd, chen t’ap vin niche malenng li yo tou.
22 Pòv la vin mouri, zanj Bondye yo pote l’ mete bò kot Abraram nan syèl la. Nonm rich la mouri tou, yo antere li.
23 Pandan l’ te kote tout mò yo ye a nan mitan soufrans, li voye je l’ byen lwen li wè Abraram ak Laza ansanm avèk li.
24 Nonm rich la rele: Abraram papa, gen pitye pou mwen non! Voye Laza tranpe ti bout dwèt li nan yon ti tak dlò pou l’ mete yon frechè sou lang mwen, paske se pa ti soufri m’ap soufri nan flanm sa a.
25 Abraram reponn li: Pitit mwen, chonje byen: ou te resevwa tout bon bagay pa ou yo pandan ou te sou latè. Lè sa a menm, Laza te nan tout mizè li. Koulye a, li jwenn konsolasyon bò isit la, ou menm w’ap soufri.
26 Epitou, gen yon gwo twou ki separe nou avè ou, konsa pa gen mwayen pou moun sot isit la pou y’ al jwenn ou, osinon pou moun ta soti kote ou ye a pou vin jwenn nou.
27 Nonm rich la di li: Tanpri, Abraram papa, voye Laza kay papa mwen.
28 Mwen gen senk frè. Mwen ta vle li al di yo jan bagay la ye pou yo pa vin isit nan touman sa a.
29 Abraram reponn li: Yo gen Moyiz ak pwofèt yo pou avèti yo, se pou yo koute yo.
30 Li di li: Non, papa Abraram, yo p’ap koute. Men, si yonn nan mò yo al jwenn yo, y’a chanje lavi yo.
31 Lè sa a, Abraram di li: Si yo pa koute Moyiz ak pwofèt yo, yo p’ap kite pesonn lòt fè yo wè verite a. Li ta mèt yon mò ki ta leve vivan ankò, yo p’ap koute li.

Luc 16
1 Jésus dit aussi à ses disciples: Un homme riche avait un économe, qui lui fut dénoncé comme dissipant ses biens.
2 Il l’appela, et lui dit: Qu’est-ce que j’entends dire de toi? Rends compte de ton administration, car tu ne pourras plus administrer mes biens.
3 L’économe dit en lui-même: Que ferai-je, puisque mon maître m’ôte l’administration de ses biens? Travailler à la terre? je ne le puis. Mendier? j’en ai honte.
4 Je sais ce que je ferai, pour qu’il y ait des gens qui me reçoivent dans leurs maisons quand je serai destitué de mon emploi.
5 Et, faisant venir chacun des débiteurs de son maître, il dit au premier: Combien dois-tu à mon maître?
6 Cent mesures d’huile, répondit-il. Et il lui dit: Prends ton billet, assieds-toi vite, et écris cinquante.
7 Il dit ensuite à un autre: Et toi, combien dois-tu? Cent mesures de blé, répondit-il. Et il lui dit: Prends ton billet, et écris quatre-vingts.
8 Le maître loua l’économe infidèle de ce qu’il avait agi prudemment. Car les enfants de ce siècle sont plus prudents à l’égard de leurs semblables que ne le sont les enfants de lumière.
9 Et moi, je vous dis: Faites-vous des amis avec les richesses injustes, pour qu’ils vous reçoivent dans les tabernacles éternels, quand elles viendront à vous manquer.
10 Celui qui est fidèle dans les moindres choses l’est aussi dans les grandes, et celui qui est injuste dans les moindres choses l’est aussi dans les grandes.
11 Si donc vous n’avez pas été fidèle dans les richesses injustes, qui vous confiera les véritables?
12 Et si vous n’avez pas été fidèles dans ce qui est à autrui, qui vous donnera ce qui est à vous?
13 Nul serviteur ne peut servir deux maîtres. Car, ou il haïra l’un et aimera l’autre; ou il s’attachera à l’un et méprisera l’autre. Vous ne pouvez servir Dieu et Mamon.
14 Les pharisiens, qui étaient avares, écoutaient aussi tout cela, et ils se moquaient de lui.
15 Jésus leur dit: Vous, vous cherchez à paraître justes devant les hommes, mais Dieu connaît vos coeurs; car ce qui est élevé parmi les hommes est une abomination devant Dieu.
16 La loi et les prophètes ont subsisté jusqu’à Jean; depuis lors, le royaume de Dieu est annoncé, et chacun use de violence pour y entrer.
17 Il est plus facile que le ciel et la terre passent, qu’il ne l’est qu’un seul trait de lettre de la loi vienne à tomber.
18 Quiconque répudie sa femme et en épouse une autre commet un adultère, et quiconque épouse une femme répudiée par son mari commet un adultère.
19 Il y avait un homme riche, qui était vêtu de pourpre et de fin lin, et qui chaque jour menait joyeuse et brillante vie.
20 Un pauvre, nommé Lazare, était couché à sa porte, couvert d’ulcères,
21 et désireux de se rassasier des miettes qui tombaient de la table du riche; et même les chiens venaient encore lécher ses ulcères.
22 Le pauvre mourut, et il fut porté par les anges dans le sein d’Abraham. Le riche mourut aussi, et il fut enseveli.
23 Dans le séjour des morts, il leva les yeux; et, tandis qu’il était en proie aux tourments, il vit de loin Abraham, et Lazare dans son sein.
24 Il s’écria: Père Abraham, aie pitié de moi, et envoie Lazare, pour qu’il trempe le bout de son doigt dans l’eau et me rafraîchisse la langue; car je souffre cruellement dans cette flamme.
25 Abraham répondit: Mon enfant, souviens-toi que tu as reçu tes biens pendant ta vie, et que Lazare a eu les maux pendant la sienne; maintenant il est ici consolé, et toi, tu souffres.
26 D’ailleurs, il y a entre nous et vous un grand abîme, afin que ceux qui voudraient passer d’ici vers vous, ou de là vers nous, ne puissent le faire.
27 Le riche dit: Je te prie donc, père Abraham, d’envoyer Lazare dans la maison de mon père; car j’ai cinq frères.
28 C’est pour qu’il leur atteste ces choses, afin qu’ils ne viennent pas aussi dans ce lieu de tourments.
29 Abraham répondit: Ils ont Moïse et les prophètes; qu’ils les écoutent.
30 Et il dit: Non, père Abraham, mais si quelqu’un des morts va vers eux, ils se repentiront.
31 Et Abraham lui dit: S’ils n’écoutent pas Moïse et les prophètes, ils ne se laisseront pas persuader quand même quelqu’un des morts ressusciterait.

Luke 16
1 And he said also unto his disciples, There was a certain rich man, which had a steward; and the same was accused unto him that he had wasted his goods.
2 And he called him, and said unto him, How is it that I hear this of thee? give an account of thy stewardship; for thou mayest be no longer steward.
3 Then the steward said within himself, What shall I do? for my lord taketh away from me the stewardship: I cannot dig; to beg I am ashamed.
4 I am resolved what to do, that, when I am put out of the stewardship, they may receive me into their houses.
5 So he called every one of his lord’s debtors unto him, and said unto the first, How much owest thou unto my lord?
6 And he said, An hundred measures of oil. And he said unto him, Take thy bill, and sit down quickly, and write fifty.
7 Then said he to another, And how much owest thou? And he said, An hundred measures of wheat. And he said unto him, Take thy bill, and write fourscore.
8 And the lord commended the unjust steward, because he had done wisely: for the children of this world are in their generation wiser than the children of light.
9 And I say unto you, Make to yourselves friends of the mammon of unrighteousness; that, when ye fail, they may receive you into everlasting habitations.
10 He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much.
11 If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches?
12 And if ye have not been faithful in that which is another man’s, who shall give you that which is your own?
13 No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
14 And the Pharisees also, who were covetous, heard all these things: and they derided him.
15 And he said unto them, Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God.
16 The law and the prophets were until John: since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it.
17 And it is easier for heaven and earth to pass, than one tittle of the law to fail.
18 Whosoever putteth away his wife, and marrieth another, committeth adultery: and whosoever marrieth her that is put away from her husband committeth adultery.
19 There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day:
20 And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores,
21 And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man’s table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores.
22 And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham’s bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried;
23 And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.
24 And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.
25 But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented.
26 And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence.
27 Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father’s house:
28 For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment.
29 Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.
30 And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent.
31 And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.
