Pwovèb 13
1 Yon pitit gason ki gen bon konprann ap koute lè papa l’ ap rale zòrèy li. Men, moun k’ap pase moun nan betiz p’ap janm koute lè y’ap fè l’ obsèvasyon pou korije l’.
2 Rekonpans yon moun chita sou sa li di ak bouch li. Men, moun ki ipokrit renmen fè mechanste.
3 Veye pawòl ki soti nan bouch ou, w’a pwoteje lavi ou. Moun k’ap prese louvri bouch yo pale ap detwi pwòp tèt yo.
4 Parese p’ap janm jwenn sa yo ta renmen genyen. Men, moun k’ap travay di ap jwenn tou sa yo ta renmen genyen.
5 Moun k’ap mache dwat pa vle wè moun k’ap bay manti. Men, sa mechan yo ap fè a se yon wont, se yon dezonè pou tèt yo.
6 Lè ou toujou fè sa ki byen, lajistis ap pwoteje ou. Men, peche lakòz mechan yo disparèt.
7 Gen moun ki pa gen anyen men ki pran pòz moun rich yo. Gen moun ki pran pòz moun pòv yo, epi se yo ki gen fòtin.
8 Yon moun rich sèvi ak lajan l’ pou l’ sove lavi l’. Moun ki pòv pa vle tande lè w’ap rele dèyè l’.
9 Moun k’ap mache dwat yo tankou lanp k’ap klere byen klere. Men, mechan yo tankou yon lanp ki prèt pou mouri.
10 Moun awogan yo toujou ap pouse dife. Men, moun ki koute konsèy, se moun ki gen bon konprann.
11 Lajan ou fè fasil pa lwen fini. Lajan ou fè nan di ap toujou fè pitit.
12 Lè ou pa jwenn sa ou t’ap tann lan, se bagay ki pou fè ou malad. Men, lè ou jwenn sa ou te anvi a, se lavi pou ou.
13 Lè ou pa respekte pawòl ki nan lalwa Bondye a, se dèt ou fè. Men, moun ki fè sa lalwa mande yo fè a ap jwenn rekonpans yo.
14 Sa moun ki gen bon konprann ap moutre a bay lavi. L’ap ede ou pou ou pa tonbe lè lavi ou an danje.
15 Lè ou gen bon konprann, sa fè moun renmen ou. Men, lè moun pa ka fè ou konfyans, ou nan di.
16 Tout moun ki gen konprann kalkile byen anvan yo fè yon bagay. Men, moun san konprann yo ap fè ou wè jan yo sòt.
17 Yon move komisyonè ap mete moun nan ka. Men, yon komisyonè serye ap bay moun kè poze.
18 Yon moun ki refize aprann ap toujou pòv, l’ap toujou wont. Men, y’ap respekte moun ki koute lè yo rale zòrèy yo.
19 Ala bon sa bon lè ou jwenn sa ou te anvi a! Moun san konprann derefize kite move chemen yo pran an.
20 Fè zanmi ak moun ki gen konesans, ou menm tou w’a vin gen konesans. Fè zanmi ak moun ki san konprann, ou nan pwoblèm.
21 Malè ap pousib moun k’ap fè sa ki mal. Men, moun ki mache dwat ap jwenn bon rekonpans.
22 Yon moun ki gen bon kè ap kite byen pou pitit pitit li. Men, richès moun k’ap fè sa ki mal, se moun ki mache dwat yo k’ap jwi li.
23 Jaden malere bay kont manje. Men, lenjistis fè l’ mouri grangou.
24 Si ou pè bat pitit gason ou, ou pa renmen l’. Si ou renmen l’, se pou ou korije l’.
25 Moun k’ap mache dwat toujou gen ase pou yo manje. Men, vant mechan yo pa janm plen.

Proverbes 13
1 Un fils sage écoute l’instruction de son père, Mais le moqueur n’écoute pas la réprimande.
2 Par le fruit de la bouche on jouit du bien; Mais ce que désirent les perfides, c’est la violence.
3 Celui qui veille sur sa bouche garde son âme; Celui qui ouvre de grandes lèvres court à sa perte.
4 L’âme du paresseux a des désirs qu’il ne peut satisfaire; Mais l’âme des hommes diligents sera rassasiée.
5 Le juste hait les paroles mensongères; Le méchant se rend odieux et se couvre de honte.
6 La justice garde celui dont la voie est intègre, Mais la méchanceté cause la ruine du pécheur.
7 Tel fait le riche et n’a rien du tout, Tel fait le pauvre et a de grands biens.
8 La richesse d’un homme sert de rançon pour sa vie, Mais le pauvre n’écoute pas la réprimande.
9 La lumière des justes est joyeuse, Mais la lampe des méchants s’éteint.
10 C’est seulement par orgueil qu’on excite des querelles, Mais la sagesse est avec ceux qui écoutent les conseils.
11 La richesse mal acquise diminue, Mais celui qui amasse peu à peu l’augmente.
12 Un espoir différé rend le coeur malade, Mais un désir accompli est un arbre de vie.
13 Celui qui méprise la parole se perd, Mais celui qui craint le précepte est récompensé.
14 L’enseignement du sage est une source de vie, Pour détourner des pièges de la mort.
15 Une raison saine a pour fruit la grâce, Mais la voie des perfides est rude.
16 Tout homme prudent agit avec connaissance, Mais l’insensé fait étalage de folie.
17 Un envoyé méchant tombe dans le malheur, Mais un messager fidèle apporte la guérison.
18 La pauvreté et la honte sont le partage de celui qui rejette la correction, Mais celui qui a égard à la réprimande est honoré.
19 Un désir accompli est doux à l’âme, Mais s’éloigner du mal fait horreur aux insensés.
20 Celui qui fréquente les sages devient sage, Mais celui qui se plaît avec les insensés s’en trouve mal.
21 Le malheur poursuit ceux qui pèchent, Mais le bonheur récompense les justes.
22 L’homme de bien a pour héritiers les enfants de ses enfants, Mais les richesses du pécheur sont réservées pour le juste.
23 Le champ que défriche le pauvre donne une nourriture abondante, Mais tel périt par défaut de justice.
24 Celui qui ménage sa verge hait son fils, Mais celui qui l’aime cherche à le corriger.
25 Le juste mange et satisfait son appétit, Mais le ventre des méchants éprouve la disette.

1 A wise son heareth his father’s instruction: but a scorner heareth not rebuke.
2 A man shall eat good by the fruit of his mouth: but the soul of the transgressors shall eat violence.
3 He that keepeth his mouth keepeth his life: but he that openeth wide his lips shall have destruction.
4 The soul of the sluggard desireth, and hath nothing: but the soul of the diligent shall be made fat.
5 A righteous man hateth lying: but a wicked man is loathsome, and cometh to shame.
6 Righteousness keepeth him that is upright in the way: but wickedness overthroweth the sinner.
7 There is that maketh himself rich, yet hath nothing: there is that maketh himself poor, yet hath great riches.
8 The ransom of a man’s life are his riches: but the poor heareth not rebuke.
9 The light of the righteous rejoiceth: but the lamp of the wicked shall be put out.
10 Only by pride cometh contention: but with the well advised is wisdom.
11 Wealth gotten by vanity shall be diminished: but he that gathereth by labour shall increase.
12 Hope deferred maketh the heart sick: but when the desire cometh, it is a tree of life.
13 Whoso despiseth the word shall be destroyed: but he that feareth the commandment shall be rewarded.
14 The law of the wise is a fountain of life, to depart from the snares of death.
15 Good understanding giveth favour: but the way of transgressors is hard.
16 Every prudent man dealeth with knowledge: but a fool layeth open his folly.
17 A wicked messenger falleth into mischief: but a faithful ambassador is health.
18 Poverty and shame shall be to him that refuseth instruction: but he that regardeth reproof shall be honoured.
19 The desire accomplished is sweet to the soul: but it is abomination to fools to depart from evil.
20 He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed.
21 Evil pursueth sinners: but to the righteous good shall be repayed.
22 A good man leaveth an inheritance to his children’s children: and the wealth of the sinner is laid up for the just.
23 Much food is in the tillage of the poor: but there is that is destroyed for want of judgment.
24 He that spareth his rod hateth his son: but he that loveth him chasteneth him betimes.
25 The righteous eateth to the satisfying of his soul: but the belly of the wicked shall want.
