Jeremi 7
1 Seyè a pale ak Jeremi, li di l’ konsa:
2 -Al kanpe devan gwo pòtay kay Bondye a. Pale byen fò, epi di: Nou tout moun peyi Jida k’ap vini pase nan pòtay sa a pou n’ al fè sèvis pou Seyè a, koute sa Seyè a voye di nou.
3 Men sa Seyè ki gen tout pouvwa a, Bondye pèp Izrayèl la, di: Se pou nou chanje jan n’ap viv la! Manyè sispann fè sa n’ap fè a pou m’ ka kite nou viv isit la.
4 Nou pa bezwen kwè pawòl manti y’ap plede repete yo: Sa se gwo kay Seyè a! Sa se gwo kay Seyè a! Sa se gwo kay Seyè a! Anyen p’ap rive nou la.
5 Se pou nou chanje jan n’ap viv la. Sispann fè sa n’ap fè a! Rann tout moun jistis san patipri.
6 Pa pwofite sou moun lòt nasyon yo, sou timoun ki san papa yo, sou fanm ki pèdi mari yo. Sispann fè san moun inonsan koule nan peyi a. Pa kouri dèyè lòt bondye yo. Se va pou malè nou.
7 Lè sa a, m’a kite nou viv isit la, nan peyi mwen te bay zansèt nou yo pou tout tan tout tan.
8 Men, nou chita ap kwè yon bann pawòl manti ki p’ap sèvi nou anyen.
9 Kouman nou ta vle sa? N’ap vòlò, n’ap touye moun, n’ap fè adiltè, n’ap fè sèman pou bay manti, n’ap fè ofrann pou yo boule pou Baal, n’ap kouri fè sèvis pou yon bann lòt bondye nou pa t’ janm konnen anvan.
10 Lèfini, n’ap vin kanpe devan m’ nan kay yo mete apa pou mwen an, n’ap plede di: Nou sove! Epi nou donnen pi rèd nan fè bagay mwen pa vle wè?
11 Sanble nou pran kay yo mete apa pou mwen an fè yon kachèt pou vòlò? Se sa mwen wè n’ap fè. Se mwen menm Seyè a ki di sa.
12 Moute Silo, ale wè kote yo te mete apa pou mwen an, premye kote mwen te chwazi pou m’ te rete nan mitan nou an. Ale wè sa m’ te fè l’ poutèt mechanste pèp Izrayèl mwen sa a.
13 Koulye a menm, gade tou sa nou fè. Se Seyè a menm ki di sa. Se pa ti kras pale mwen pale nou, nou derefize koute m’. Se pa ti kras rele mwen rele nou, nou pa reponn.
14 Enben! Sa m’ te fè Silo a, se sa mwen pral fè kay yo mete apa pou mwen an, kay nou kwè ki ka sove nou an, ak peyi mwen te bay zansèt nou yo ansanm ak nou an.
15 M’ap wete nou devan je m’, menm jan mwen te voye tout frè nou yo, tout moun branch fanmi Efrayim yo, jete byen lwen.
16 Seyè a di ankò: -Jeremi monchè, ou pa bezwen lapriyè nan pye m’ pou pèp sa a. Ou pa bezwen rele, ni ou pa bezwen lapriyè pou yo. Pa vin plede kòz yo bò kote m’. Paske mwen p’ap koute ou.
17 Ou pa wè sa y’ap fè nan lavil peyi Jida yo, ak nan lari lavil Jerizalèm?
18 Timoun yo ap ranmase bwa. Mesye yo ap limen dife. Medam yo ap bat farin pou fè gato pou Larenn syèl la. Y’ap ofri diven vide atè pou lòt bondye. Y’ap fè tou sa pou yo fè m’ lapenn.
19 Men, se pa mwen y’ap fè mal. Se Seyè a menm ki di sa. Se pwòp tèt yo menm y’ap fè mal, se tèt yo y’ap fè wont.
20 Se poutèt sa, men sa mwen menm, Seyè ki gen tout pouvwa a, mwen di: Mwen pral pase gwo kòlè m’ ni sou Tanp lan, ni sou moun, ni sou bèt, ni sou pyebwa, ni sou rekòt yo. Kòlè mwen pral tankou yon dife pesonn p’ap ka tenyen.
21 Men sa Seyè ki gen tout pouvwa a, Bondye pèp Izrayèl la, di ankò: -Pran tout vyann nou te konn ofri pou boule nan dife, mete yo sou vyann bèt nou touye yo. Lèfini, manje tout.
22 Lè mwen t’ap fè zansèt nou yo soti peyi Lejip, mwen pa t’ ba yo ankenn lòd sou bèt pou yo te boule nan dife pou mwen, ni sou bèt pou yo te touye pou mwen.
23 Sèl bagay mwen te mande yo, se pou yo te koute m’ lè m’ap pale ak yo. Konsa m’a toujou Bondye yo. Yo menm y’a pèp mwen. Mwen te di pou yo te swiv chemen mwen t’ap mete devan yo, pou tout bagay te ka mache byen pou yo.
24 Men, yo pa t’ vle koute m’, yo te bouche zòrèy yo. Yo fè sa ki nan lide yo, yo fè tèt di. Pase yo vin pi bon, yo vin pi mal.
25 Depi jou zansèt nou yo te soti kite peyi Lejip rive jòdi a, mwen toujou voye sèvitè m’ yo, pwofèt yo, pou pale ak nou.
26 Men, pesonn pa koute yo, tout moun bouche zòrèy yo. Nou fè tèt di, nou fè pi mal pase zansèt nou yo.
27 Se poutèt sa, Jeremi, ou pral di yo tou sa, men yo p’ap koute ou. W’ap rele yo, men yo p’ap reponn.
28 W’a di yo: se yon nasyon ki pa koute sa Seyè a ap di yo yo ye. Malgre Bondye pini yo, yo pa chanje. Pesonn pa kenbe pawòl yo ak li. Yo pa pale sou sa menm ankò.
29 Nou menm moun lavil Jerizalèm, koupe tout cheve nan tèt nou voye jete. Moute sou tèt mòn yo, pou nou chante plenn sò nou, paske Seyè a pa vle wè moun ki fè l’ fache. Li vire do ba yo, li voye yo jete.
30 Moun peyi Jida yo fè sa ki mal devan je m’. Se Seyè a menm ki di sa: Yo pran zidòl yo, yo enstale yo nan kay yo te mete apa pou mwen an. Konsa, li pa nan kondisyon pou sèvi m’ ankò.
31 Nan Fon Benninon an, yo bati yon lotèl yo rele Tofèt pou yo ka boule pitit gason ak pitit fi yo nan dife sou li. Sa se bagay mwen p’ap mande yo fè, bagay ki pa janm vin nan lide m’ pou m’ mande yo fè.
32 Se poutèt sa, men sa mwen menm Seyè a, mwen di: Yon lè yo p’ap rele kote sa a Tofèt, osinon Fon Benninon, men Fon Masak: Se la y’a antere moun, paske p’ap gen plas lòt kote ankò pou antere yo.
33 Kadav moun yo va sèvi manje pou zwazo nan syèl ak bèt nan bwa. P’ap gen pesonn pou pouse bèt yo ale.
34 Peyi a pral tounen yon dezè. Nan lavil peyi Jida yo ak nan lari lavil Jerizalèm, ou p’ap tande yon moun ap pran plezi l’, ou p’ap tande yon moun ap ri. p’ap menm gen fèt pou moun marye yo. Se mwen menm k’ap fè tou sa rive.

Jérémie 7
1 La parole qui fut adressée à Jérémie de la part de l’Éternel, en ces mots:
2 Place-toi à la porte de la maison de l’Éternel, Et là publie cette parole, Et dis: Écoutez la parole de l’Éternel, Vous tous, hommes de Juda, qui entrez par ces portes, Pour vous prosterner devant l’Éternel!
3 Ainsi parle l’Éternel des armées, le Dieu d’Israël: Réformez vos voies et vos oeuvres, Et je vous laisserai demeurer dans ce lieu.
4 Ne vous livrez pas à des espérances trompeuses, en disant: C’est ici le temple de l’Éternel, le temple de l’Éternel, Le temple de l’Éternel!
5 Si vous réformez vos voies et vos oeuvres, Si vous pratiquez la justice envers les uns et les autres,
6 Si vous n’opprimez pas l’étranger, l’orphelin et la veuve, Si vous ne répandez pas en ce lieu le sang innocent, Et si vous n’allez pas après d’autres dieux, pour votre malheur,
7 Alors je vous laisserai demeurer dans ce lieu, Dans le pays que j’ai donné à vos pères, D’éternité en éternité.
8 Mais voici, vous vous livrez à des espérances trompeuses, Qui ne servent à rien.
9 Quoi! dérober, tuer, commettre des adultères, Jurer faussement, offrir de l’encens à Baal, Aller après d’autres dieux que vous ne connaissez pas!…
10 Puis vous venez vous présenter devant moi, Dans cette maison sur laquelle mon nom est invoqué, Et vous dites: Nous sommes délivrés!… Et c’est afin de commettre toutes ces abominations!
11 Est-elle à vos yeux une caverne de voleurs, Cette maison sur laquelle mon nom est invoqué? Je le vois moi-même, dit l’Éternel.
12 Allez donc au lieu qui m’était consacré à Silo, Où j’avais fait autrefois résider mon nom. Et voyez comment je l’ai traité, A cause de la méchanceté de mon peuple d’Israël.
13 Et maintenant, puisque vous avez commis toutes ces actions, Dit l’Éternel, Puisque je vous ai parlé dès le matin et que vous n’avez pas écouté, Puisque je vous ai appelés et que vous n’avez pas répondu,
14 Je traiterai la maison sur laquelle mon nom est invoqué, Sur laquelle vous faites reposer votre confiance, Et le lieu que j’ai donné à vous et à vos pères, De la même manière que j’ai traité Silo;
15 Et je vous rejetterai loin de ma face, Comme j’ai rejeté tous vos frères, Toute la postérité d’Éphraïm.
16 Et toi, n’intercède pas en faveur de ce peuple, N’élève pour eux ni supplications ni prières, Ne fais pas des instances auprès de moi; Car je ne t’écouterai pas.
17 Ne vois-tu pas ce qu’ils font dans les villes de Juda Et dans les rues de Jérusalem?
18 Les enfants ramassent du bois, Les pères allument le feu, Et les femmes pétrissent la pâte, Pour préparer des gâteaux à la reine du ciel, Et pour faire des libations à d’autres dieux, Afin de m’irriter.
19 Est-ce moi qu’ils irritent? dit l’Éternel; N’est-ce pas eux-mêmes, A leur propre confusion?
20 C’est pourquoi ainsi parle le Seigneur, l’Éternel: Voici, ma colère et ma fureur se répandent sur ce lieu, Sur les hommes et sur les bêtes, Sur les arbres des champs et sur les fruits de la terre; Elle brûlera, et ne s’éteindra point.
21 Ainsi parle l’Éternel des armées, le Dieu d’Israël: Ajoutez vos holocaustes à vos sacrifices, Et mangez-en la chair!
22 Car je n’ai point parlé avec vos pères et je ne leur ai donné aucun ordre, Le jour où je les ai fait sortir du pays d’Égypte, Au sujet des holocaustes et des sacrifices.
23 Mais voici l’ordre que je leur ai donné: Écoutez ma voix, Et je serai votre Dieu, Et vous serez mon peuple; Marchez dans toutes les voies que je vous prescris, Afin que vous soyez heureux.
24 Et ils n’ont point écouté, ils n’ont point prêté l’oreille; Ils ont suivi les conseils, les penchants de leur mauvais coeur, Ils ont été en arrière et non en avant.
25 Depuis le jour où vos pères sont sortis du pays d’Égypte, Jusqu’à ce jour, Je vous ai envoyé tous mes serviteurs, les prophètes, Je les ai envoyés chaque jour, dès le matin.
26 Mais ils ne m’ont point écouté, ils n’ont point prêté l’oreille; Ils ont raidi leur cou, Ils ont fait le mal plus que leurs pères.
27 Si tu leur dis toutes ces choses, ils ne t’écouteront pas; Si tu cries vers eux, ils ne te répondront pas.
28 Alors dis-leur: C’est ici la nation qui n’écoute pas la voix de l’Éternel, son Dieu, Et qui ne veut pas recevoir instruction; La vérité a disparu, elle s’est retirée de leur bouche.
29 Coupe ta chevelure, et jette-la au loin; Monte sur les hauteurs, et prononce une complainte! Car l’Éternel rejette Et repousse la génération qui a provoqué sa fureur.
30 Car les enfants de Juda ont fait ce qui est mal à mes yeux, Dit l’Éternel; Ils ont placé leurs abominations Dans la maison sur laquelle mon nom est invoqué, Afin de la souiller.
31 Ils ont bâti des hauts lieux à Topheth dans la vallée de Ben Hinnom, Pour brûler au feu leurs fils et leurs filles: Ce que je n’avais point ordonné, Ce qui ne m’était point venu à la pensée.
32 C’est pourquoi voici, les jours viennent, dit l’Éternel, Où l’on ne dira plus Topheth et la vallée de Ben Hinnom, Mais où l’on dira la vallée du carnage; Et l’on enterrera les morts à Topheth par défaut de place.
33 Les cadavres de ce peuple seront la pâture Des oiseaux du ciel et des bêtes de la terre; Et il n’y aura personne pour les troubler.
34 Je ferai cesser dans les villes de Juda et dans les rues de Jérusalem Les cris de réjouissance et les cris d’allégresse, Les chants du fiancé et les chants de la fiancée; Car le pays sera un désert.

Jeremiah 7
1 The word that came to Jeremiah from the Lord, saying,
2 Stand in the gate of the Lord‘s house, and proclaim there this word, and say, Hear the word of the Lord, all ye of Judah, that enter in at these gates to worship the Lord.
3 Thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, Amend your ways and your doings, and I will cause you to dwell in this place.
4 Trust ye not in lying words, saying, The temple of the Lord, The temple of the Lord, The temple of the Lord, are these.
5 For if ye throughly amend your ways and your doings; if ye throughly execute judgment between a man and his neighbour;
6 If ye oppress not the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, and shed not innocent blood in this place, neither walk after other gods to your hurt:
7 Then will I cause you to dwell in this place, in the land that I gave to your fathers, for ever and ever.
8 Behold, ye trust in lying words, that cannot profit.
9 Will ye steal, murder, and commit adultery, and swear falsely, and burn incense unto Baal, and walk after other gods whom ye know not;
10 And come and stand before me in this house, which is called by my name, and say, We are delivered to do all these abominations?
11 Is this house, which is called by my name, become a den of robbers in your eyes? Behold, even I have seen it, saith the Lord.
12 But go ye now unto my place which was in Shiloh, where I set my name at the first, and see what I did to it for the wickedness of my people Israel.
13 And now, because ye have done all these works, saith the Lord, and I spake unto you, rising up early and speaking, but ye heard not; and I called you, but ye answered not;
14 Therefore will I do unto this house, which is called by my name, wherein ye trust, and unto the place which I gave to you and to your fathers, as I have done to Shiloh.
15 And I will cast you out of my sight, as I have cast out all your brethren, even the whole seed of Ephraim.
16 Therefore pray not thou for this people, neither lift up cry nor prayer for them, neither make intercession to me: for I will not hear thee.
17 Seest thou not what they do in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem?
18 The children gather wood, and the fathers kindle the fire, and the women knead their dough, to make cakes to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto other gods, that they may provoke me to anger.
19 Do they provoke me to anger? saith the Lord: do they not provoke themselves to the confusion of their own faces?
20 Therefore thus saith the Lord God; Behold, mine anger and my fury shall be poured out upon this place, upon man, and upon beast, and upon the trees of the field, and upon the fruit of the ground; and it shall burn, and shall not be quenched.
21 Thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel; Put your burnt offerings unto your sacrifices, and eat flesh.
22 For I spake not unto your fathers, nor commanded them in the day that I brought them out of the land of Egypt, concerning burnt offerings or sacrifices:
23 But this thing commanded I them, saying, Obey my voice, and I will be your God, and ye shall be my people: and walk ye in all the ways that I have commanded you, that it may be well unto you.
24 But they hearkened not, nor inclined their ear, but walked in the counsels and in the imagination of their evil heart, and went backward, and not forward.
25 Since the day that your fathers came forth out of the land of Egypt unto this day I have even sent unto you all my servants the prophets, daily rising up early and sending them:
26 Yet they hearkened not unto me, nor inclined their ear, but hardened their neck: they did worse than their fathers.
27 Therefore thou shalt speak all these words unto them; but they will not hearken to thee: thou shalt also call unto them; but they will not answer thee.
28 But thou shalt say unto them, This is a nation that obeyeth not the voice of the Lord their God, nor receiveth correction: truth is perished, and is cut off from their mouth.
29 Cut off thine hair, O Jerusalem, and cast it away, and take up a lamentation on high places; for the Lord hath rejected and forsaken the generation of his wrath.
30 For the children of Judah have done evil in my sight, saith the Lord: they have set their abominations in the house which is called by my name, to pollute it.
31 And they have built the high places of Tophet, which is in the valley of the son of Hinnom, to burn their sons and their daughters in the fire; which I commanded them not, neither came it into my heart.
32 Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that it shall no more be called Tophet, nor the valley of the son of Hinnom, but the valley of slaughter: for they shall bury in Tophet, till there be no place.
33 And the carcases of this people shall be meat for the fowls of the heaven, and for the beasts of the earth; and none shall fray them away.
34 Then will I cause to cease from the cities of Judah, and from the streets of Jerusalem, the voice of mirth, and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride: for the land shall be desolate.
