Jòb 42
1 Men sa Jòb reponn Seyè a:
2 -Mwen konnen, Seyè, ou gen tout pouvwa. W’ap fè tou sa ou mete nan tèt ou pou ou fè.
3 Ou mande kisa mwen ye menm pou m’ap poze keksyon sou plan travay ou, ak yon bann diskou ki pa vle di anyen. Mwen te louvri bouch mwen pale sou sa m’ pa konprann, sou bèl bagay ki twò fò pou mwen.
4 Ou te mande m’ pou m’ koute sa w’ap di m’, pou m’ pare pou m’ reponn ou.
5 Sa m’ te konn sou ou a, se sa lòt moun te di m’ ase. Koulye a, mwen wè ou ak je mwen.
6 Se konsa, mwen wete tou sa mwen te di. Mwen kouche sou sann ak nan pousyè, m’ap mande padon.
7 Lè Seyè a fin pale konsa ak Jòb, li pale ak Elifaz, moun lavil Teman an. Li di l’ konsa: -Mwen te fache sou ou ak sou de zanmi ou yo, paske sa nou di sou mwen an pa vre menm. Nou pa t’ pale tankou Jòb, sèvitè m’ lan.
8 Atòkile, men sa pou nou fè: Pran sèt towo bèf ak sèt belye mouton. Al jwenn Jòb ak yo. N’a ofri yo pou nou, n’a boule yo nèt. Jòb li menm va lapriyè pou nou. M’a reponn li. Konsa, m’a fè pa nou. Mwen p’ap pini nou deske nou pa t’ pale byen sou mwen, jan Jòb, sèvitè m’ lan, te fè l’ la.
9 Elifaz, moun lavil Teman an, Bildad, moun lavil Chwa a, ak Sofa, moun lavil Naama a, al fè tou sa Seyè a te di yo fè a. Seyè a fè tou sa Jòb te mande l’ nan lapriyè a.
10 Apre Jòb te fin lapriyè pou twa zanmi l’ yo, Seyè a mete l’ kanpe ankò. Tout zafè l’ vin mache byen ankò. Lèfini, Seyè a ba li de fwa lavalè tou sa li te genyen anvan an.
11 Tout frè ak sè l’ yo ansanm ak tout ansyen zanmi l’ yo vin wè li. Yo fè fèt avè l’ lakay li. Yo fè l’ konnen jan sa te fè kè yo mal pou li pou tout malè sa yo Seyè a te voye sou li. Yo fè l’ pran kouraj. Yo chak yo fè l’ kado yon pyès ajan ak yon bag lò.
12 Apre sa, Seyè a te beni Jòb plis pase jan li te fè l’ anvan an. Jòb te vin genyen katòzmil (14.000) mouton, simil (6.000) chamo, demil (2.000) tèt bèf ak mil (1000) manman bourik.
13 Li fè sèt pitit gason ak twa pitit fi.
14 Li rele pi gran pitit fi a Jemina, dezyèm lan Kesya, twazyèm lan Kerèn apouk.
15 Nan tout peyi a pa t’ gen pi bèl fanm pase twa pitit fi Jòb yo. Papa a te ba yo chak yon pòsyon nan byen l’ yo ansanm ak frè yo.
16 Apre sa, Jòb viv jouk li rive gen sankarantan sou tèt li. Li wè pitit pitit li yo ak pitit pitit pitit li yo, jouk rive sou kat jenerasyon.
17 Lè li mouri, li te fin vye granmoun, li te viv kont li.

Job 42
1 Job répondit à l’Éternel et dit:
2 Je reconnais que tu peux tout, Et que rien ne s’oppose à tes pensées.
3 Quel est celui qui a la folie d’obscurcir mes desseins? -Oui, j’ai parlé, sans les comprendre, De merveilles qui me dépassent et que je ne conçois pas.
4 Écoute-moi, et je parlerai; Je t’interrogerai, et tu m’instruiras.
5 Mon oreille avait entendu parler de toi; Mais maintenant mon oeil t’a vu.
6 C’est pourquoi je me condamne et je me repens Sur la poussière et sur la cendre.
7 Après que l’Éternel eut adressé ces paroles à Job, il dit à Éliphaz de Théman: Ma colère est enflammée contre toi et contre tes deux amis, parce que vous n’avez pas parlé de moi avec droiture comme l’a fait mon serviteur Job.
8 Prenez maintenant sept taureaux et sept béliers, allez auprès de mon serviteur Job, et offrez pour vous un holocauste. Job, mon serviteur, priera pour vous, et c’est par égard pour lui seul que je ne vous traiterai pas selon votre folie; car vous n’avez pas parlé de moi avec droiture, comme l’a fait mon serviteur Job.
9 Éliphaz de Théman, Bildad de Schuach, et Tsophar de Naama allèrent et firent comme l’Éternel leur avait dit: et l’Éternel eut égard à la prière de Job.
10 L’Éternel rétablit Job dans son premier état, quand Job eut prié pour ses amis; et l’Éternel lui accorda le double de tout ce qu’il avait possédé.
11 Les frères, les soeurs, et les anciens amis de Job vinrent tous le visiter, et ils mangèrent avec lui dans sa maison. Ils le plaignirent et le consolèrent de tous les malheurs que l’Éternel avait fait venir sur lui, et chacun lui donna un kesita et un anneau d’or.
12 Pendant ses dernières années, Job reçut de l’Éternel plus de bénédictions qu’il n’en avait reçu dans les premières. Il posséda quatorze mille brebis, six mille chameaux, mille paires de boeufs, et mille ânesses.
13 Il eut sept fils et trois filles:
14 il donna à la première le nom de Jemima, à la seconde celui de Ketsia, et à la troisième celui de Kéren Happuc.
15 Il n’y avait pas dans tout le pays d’aussi belles femmes que les filles de Job. Leur père leur accorda une part d’héritage parmi leurs frères.
16 Job vécut après cela cent quarante ans, et il vit ses fils et les fils de ses fils jusqu’à la quatrième génération.
17 Et Job mourut âgé et rassasié de jours.

Job 42
1 Then Job answered the Lord, and said,
2 I know that thou canst do every thing, and that no thought can be withholden from thee.
3 Who is he that hideth counsel without knowledge? therefore have I uttered that I understood not; things too wonderful for me, which I knew not.
4 Hear, I beseech thee, and I will speak: I will demand of thee, and declare thou unto me.
5 I have heard of thee by the hearing of the ear: but now mine eye seeth thee.
6 Wherefore I abhor myself, and repent in dust and ashes.
7 And it was so, that after the Lord had spoken these words unto Job, the Lord said to Eliphaz the Temanite, My wrath is kindled against thee, and against thy two friends: for ye have not spoken of me the thing that is right, as my servant Job hath.
8 Therefore take unto you now seven bullocks and seven rams, and go to my servant Job, and offer up for yourselves a burnt offering; and my servant Job shall pray for you: for him will I accept: lest I deal with you after your folly, in that ye have not spoken of me the thing which is right, like my servant Job.
9 So Eliphaz the Temanite and Bildad the Shuhite and Zophar the Naamathite went, and did according as the Lord commanded them: the Lord also accepted Job.
10 And the Lord turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends: also the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before.
11 Then came there unto him all his brethren, and all his sisters, and all they that had been of his acquaintance before, and did eat bread with him in his house: and they bemoaned him, and comforted him over all the evil that the Lord had brought upon him: every man also gave him a piece of money, and every one an earring of gold.
12 So the Lord blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning: for he had fourteen thousand sheep, and six thousand camels, and a thousand yoke of oxen, and a thousand she asses.
13 He had also seven sons and three daughters.
14 And he called the name of the first, Jemima; and the name of the second, Kezia; and the name of the third, Kerenhappuch.
15 And in all the land were no women found so fair as the daughters of Job: and their father gave them inheritance among their brethren.
16 After this lived Job an hundred and forty years, and saw his sons, and his sons’ sons, even four generations.
17 So Job died, being old and full of days.
