Sòm 94
1 Seyè, ou menm Bondye ki gen dwa tire revanj lan, parèt non pou fè yo wè ki moun ou ye.
2 Ou menm k’ap jije tout moun sou latè, leve non! Bay moun k’ap pran pòz gwokolèt yo sa yo merite!
3 Kilè mechan yo va sispann fè fèt? Wi, Seyè, kilè y’a sispann?
4 Kilè moun k’ap fè sa ki mal yo va sispann fè grandizè? Kilè y’a sispann fè bèl diskou pou rakonte krim yo fè?
5 Seyè, y’ap kraze pèp ou a, y’ap peze moun pa ou yo.
6 Y’ap koupe kou vèv yo, y’ap koupe kou timoun ki san papa yo, y’ap ansasinen etranje k’ap viv nan peyi a.
7 Lè konsa yo di: Seyè a pa wè nou! Bondye pèp Izrayèl la pa okipe bagay konsa!
8 Nou menm, bann san konprann, manyè fè atansyon non! Bann moun fou, kilè n’a konprann?
9 Bondye ki bay zòrèy, ki jan pou l’ pa ta ka tande? Bondye ki fè je, ki jan pou l’ pa ta ka wè?
10 Limenm ki reskonsab tout nasyon yo, ki jan pou l’ pa ta ka pini yo? Limenm k’ap bay moun tout kalite konesans, ki jan pou l’ pa ta ka konnen?
11 Seyè a konnen lide lèzòm gen nan tèt yo. Li konnen sa pa vo anyen.
12 Ala bon sa bon, Seyè, lè w’ap korije yon moun, pou fè l’ konnen sa ki nan lalwa ou,
13 pou l’ ka rete ak kè poze lè jou malè a rive, jouk y’a fouye twou pou antere mechan an.
14 Seyè a p’ap voye pèp li a jete, li p’ap vire do bay moun ki pou li yo.
15 Lè sa a, moun va jwenn jistis nan tribinal, tout moun ki mache dwat va dakò avèk sa.
16 Kilès ki va kanpe pou mwen kont mechan yo? Kilès ki va pran pou mwen kont moun k’ap fè mal yo?
17 Si se pa t’ Seyè a ki te sekou mwen, gen lontan depi mwen ta mouri.
18 Lè mwen di: Men m’ap tonbe wi! Se ou menm, Seyè, ki soutni m’ paske ou gen bon kè.
19 Lè m’ nan tèt chaje, lè mwen pa konn sa pou m’ fè, se ou menm ki ban m’ kouraj, se ou menm ki fè kè m’ kontan.
20 Eske ou nan konfyolo avèk jij pèvèti sa yo, k’ap fè mechanste yo pase pou lalwa?
21 Y’ap fè konplo sou moun ki mache dwat yo, y’ap kondannen inonsan yo amò.
22 Men, Seyè a se tout defans mwen. Bondye mwen, se twou wòch kote m’ jwenn pwoteksyon.
23 L’ap fè mechanste yo a tonbe sou pwòp tèt yo, l’ap fè peche yo a touye yo. Seyè a, Bondye nou an, ap disparèt yo.

1 Dieu des vengeances, Éternel! Dieu des vengeances, parais!
2 Lève-toi, juge de la terre! Rends aux superbes selon leurs oeuvres!
3 Jusques à quand les méchants, ô Éternel! Jusques à quand les méchants triompheront-ils?
4 Ils discourent, ils parlent avec arrogance; Tous ceux qui font le mal se glorifient.
5 Éternel! ils écrasent ton peuple, Ils oppriment ton héritage;
6 Ils égorgent la veuve et l’étranger, Ils assassinent les orphelins.
7 Et ils disent: L’Éternel ne regarde pas, Le Dieu de Jacob ne fait pas attention!
8 Prenez-y garde, hommes stupides! Insensés, quand serez-vous sages?
9 Celui qui a planté l’oreille n’entendrait-il pas? Celui qui a formé l’oeil ne verrait-il pas?
10 Celui qui châtie les nations ne punirait-il point, Lui qui donne à l’homme l’intelligence?
11 L’Éternel connaît les pensées de l’homme, Il sait qu’elles sont vaines.
12 Heureux l’homme que tu châties, ô Éternel! Et que tu instruis par ta loi,
13 Pour le calmer aux jours du malheur, Jusqu’à ce que la fosse soit creusée pour le méchant!
14 Car l’Éternel ne délaisse pas son peuple, Il n’abandonne pas son héritage;
15 Car le jugement sera conforme à la justice, Et tous ceux dont le coeur est droit l’approuveront.
16 Qui se lèvera pour moi contre les méchants? Qui me soutiendra contre ceux qui font le mal?
17 Si l’Éternel n’était pas mon secours, Mon âme serait bien vite dans la demeure du silence.
18 Quand je dis: Mon pied chancelle! Ta bonté, ô Éternel! me sert d’appui.
19 Quand les pensées s’agitent en foule au dedans de moi, Tes consolations réjouissent mon âme.
20 Les méchants te feraient-ils siéger sur leur trône, Eux qui forment des desseins iniques en dépit de la loi?
21 Ils se rassemblent contre la vie du juste, Et ils condamnent le sang innocent.
22 Mais l’Éternel est ma retraite, Mon Dieu est le rocher de mon refuge.
23 Il fera retomber sur eux leur iniquité, Il les anéantira par leur méchanceté; L’Éternel, notre Dieu, les anéantira.

Psalm 94
1 O Lord God, to whom vengeance belongeth; O God, to whom vengeance belongeth, shew thyself.
2 Lift up thyself, thou judge of the earth: render a reward to the proud.
3 Lord, how long shall the wicked, how long shall the wicked triumph?
4 How long shall they utter and speak hard things? and all the workers of iniquity boast themselves?
5 They break in pieces thy people, O Lord, and afflict thine heritage.
6 They slay the widow and the stranger, and murder the fatherless.
7 Yet they say, The Lord shall not see, neither shall the God of Jacob regard it.
8 Understand, ye brutish among the people: and ye fools, when will ye be wise?
9 He that planted the ear, shall he not hear? he that formed the eye, shall he not see?
10 He that chastiseth the heathen, shall not he correct? he that teacheth man knowledge, shall not he know?
11 The Lord knoweth the thoughts of man, that they are vanity.
12 Blessed is the man whom thou chastenest, O Lord, and teachest him out of thy law;
13 That thou mayest give him rest from the days of adversity, until the pit be digged for the wicked.
14 For the Lord will not cast off his people, neither will he forsake his inheritance.
15 But judgment shall return unto righteousness: and all the upright in heart shall follow it.
16 Who will rise up for me against the evildoers? or who will stand up for me against the workers of iniquity?
17 Unless the Lord had been my help, my soul had almost dwelt in silence.
18 When I said, My foot slippeth; thy mercy, O Lord, held me up.
19 In the multitude of my thoughts within me thy comforts delight my soul.
20 Shall the throne of iniquity have fellowship with thee, which frameth mischief by a law?
21 They gather themselves together against the soul of the righteous, and condemn the innocent blood.
22 But the Lord is my defence; and my God is the rock of my refuge.
23 And he shall bring upon them their own iniquity, and shall cut them off in their own wickedness; yea, the Lord our God shall cut them off.
