1 Manase te gen douzan lè li moute wa peyi Jida. Li gouvènen nan lavil Jerizalèm pandan senkannsenkan. Manman l’ te rele Efziba.
2 Li fè sa ki mal devan Seyè a, dapre vye prensip krimenèl lòt nasyon Seyè a te mete deyò pou fè plas pou moun pèp Izrayèl yo.
3 Li rebati tanp bondye lòt nasyon Ezekyas, papa l’, te fè kraze. Li bati lotèl pou Baal, li fè fè yon estati Achera, tankou sa Akab, wa peyi Izrayèl la, te fè fè a. Lèfini, li adore dènye zetwal ki nan syèl la, li fè sèvis pou yo.
4 Li menm rive bati lotèl pou zidòl anndan Tanp Seyè a, kote Seyè a te di se la l’ap rete lavil Jerizalèm.
5 Li fè bati lotèl nan de lakou tanp lan pou tout zetwal ki nan syèl la.
6 Li bay pitit gason l’ pou yo boule sou lotèl pou zidòl yo. Li lage kò l’ nan li nwaj nan syèl la ak nan fè maji pou konnen sa ki gen pou rive, li ankouraje divinò yo ak moun ki konn rele mò pou pale ak yo. Li donnen nan fè sa ki mal nan je Seyè a pou l’ te fè l’ move jouk li pa kapab ankò.
7 Li te fè yon estati Achera, zidòl fanm lan, li mete l’ nan Tanp lan, atout Seyè a te pale ak David ansanm ak Salomon sou Tanp lan. Li te di yo: Se isit lavil Jerizalèm, nan Tanp kote mwen te chwazi nan tout peyi douz branch fanmi pèp Izrayèl la, pou yo fè sèvis pou mwen.
8 Si moun pèp Izrayèl yo viv jan mwen mande yo viv la, si yo fè tou sa ki nan lalwa Moyiz, sèvitè m’ lan, te ba yo a, mwen p’ap mete yo deyò nan peyi mwen te bay zansèt yo a.
9 Men moun peyi Jida yo pa koute Seyè a, Manase pran tèt yo, yo fè pi mal pase nasyon Seyè a te mete deyò nan peyi a pou fè plas pou yo.
10 Lè sa a, Seyè a voye sèvitè l’ yo, pwofèt yo, pou di yo:
11 –Wa Manase te fè tout bagay degoutan sa yo. Li te fè pi mal pase moun Amori yo ki te la nan peyi a anvan yo. Avèk tout vye zidòl li yo, li fè pèp Jida a tonbe nan fè sa ki mal.
12 Se poutèt sa, men sa mwen menm, Seyè a, Bondye pèp Izrayèl la, mwen di: Mwen pral voye yon sèl malè sou lavil Jerizalèm ak sou peyi Jida a. Lè moun va pran nouvèl la, y’ap rete gaga.
13 M’ap peni lavil Jerizalèm menm jan mwen te peni lavil Samari ak fanmi wa Akaz la. Mwen pral netwaye lavil Jerizalèm tankou yo netwaye yon asyèt lèfini yo vire l’ bouch anba.
14 M’ap vire do bay rès moun ki va chape yo, m’ap lage yo nan men lènmi yo ki pral piye yo, ki pral pran peyi a nan men yo.
15 M’ap fè pèp mwen an sa paske yo fè sa ki mal devan m’, yo fè m’ fache anpil depi jou zansèt yo te soti kite peyi Lejip jouk jounen jòdi a.
16 Manase pa sèlman lakòz pèp Jida a fè sa li pa t’ dwe fè avèk tou sa li menm li t’ap fè ki mal nan je Seyè a, li fè pi rèd toujou. Li sitèlman touye moun inonsan, tout lari lavil Jerizalèm te plen san.
17 Tout rès istwa Manase a, tou sa li te fè ak tout move zak li te fè yo, n’a jwenn tou sa ekri nan liv Istwa wa peyi Jida yo.
18 Lè Manase mouri, yo antere l’ nan jaden palè a, jaden Ouza a. Se Amon, pitit gason l’ lan, ki moute wa nan plas li.
19 Amon te gen venndezan lè li moute wa peyi Jida. Li gouvènen lavil Jerizalèm pandan dezan. Manman l’ te rele Mechoulemèt. Se te pitit fi Awouz, yon moun lavil Jotba.
20 Tankou Manase, papa l’, li fè sa ki mal devan Seyè a.
21 Li mache pye pou pye dèyè Manase nan tout bagay. Li sèvi zidòl papa l’ te sèvi yo, li adore yo.
22 Li vire do bay Seyè a, Bondye zansèt li yo, li pa mache jan Seyè a vle l’ la.
23 Chèf ki t’ap sèvi avèk Amon yo fè konplo, yo touye l’ anndan palè a.
24 Moun pèp Jida yo touye mesye ki te fè konplo pou touye Amon yo, yo mete Jozyas, pitit gason l’ lan, wa nan plas li.
25 Tout rès istwa Amon an, tou sa li te fè, n’a jwenn tou sa ekri nan liv Istwa wa peyi Jida yo.
26 Lè Amon mouri, yo antere l’ nan kavo fanmi an, nan jaden Ouza a. Lèfini, se Jozyas, pitit gason l’ lan, ki moute wa nan plas li.

1 Manassé avait douze ans lorsqu’il devint roi, et il régna cinquante-cinq ans à Jérusalem. Sa mère s’appelait Hephtsiba.
2 Il fit ce qui est mal aux yeux de l’Éternel, selon les abominations des nations que l’Éternel avait chassées devant les enfants d’Israël.
3 Il rebâtit les hauts lieux qu’Ézéchias, son père, avait détruits, il éleva des autels à Baal, il fit une idole d’Astarté, comme avait fait Achab, roi d’Israël, et il se prosterna devant toute l’armée des cieux et la servit.
4 Il bâtit des autels dans la maison de l’Éternel, quoique l’Éternel eût dit: C’est dans Jérusalem que je placerai mon nom.
5 Il bâtit des autels à toute l’armée des cieux dans les deux parvis de la maison de l’Éternel.
6 Il fit passer son fils par le feu; il observait les nuages et les serpents pour en tirer des pronostics, et il établit des gens qui évoquaient les esprits et qui prédisaient l’avenir. Il fit de plus en plus ce qui est mal aux yeux de l’Éternel, afin de l’irriter.
7 Il mit l’idole d’Astarté, qu’il avait faite, dans la maison de laquelle l’Éternel avait dit à David et à Salomon, son fils: C’est dans cette maison, et c’est dans Jérusalem, que j’ai choisie parmi toutes les tribus d’Israël, que je veux à toujours placer mon nom.
8 Je ne ferai plus errer le pied d’Israël hors du pays que j’ai donné à ses pères, pourvu seulement qu’ils aient soin de mettre en pratique tout ce que je leur ai commandé et toute la loi que leur a prescrite mon serviteur Moïse.
9 Mais ils n’obéirent point; et Manassé fut cause qu’ils s’égarèrent et firent le mal plus que les nations que l’Éternel avait détruites devant les enfants d’Israël.
10 Alors l’Éternel parla en ces termes par ses serviteurs les prophètes:
11 Parce que Manassé, roi de Juda, a commis ces abominations, parce qu’il a fait pis que tout ce qu’avaient fait avant lui les Amoréens, et parce qu’il a aussi fait pécher Juda par ses idoles,
12 voici ce que dit l’Éternel, le Dieu d’Israël: Je vais faire venir sur Jérusalem et sur Juda des malheurs qui étourdiront les oreilles de quiconque en entendra parler.
13 J’étendrai sur Jérusalem le cordeau de Samarie et le niveau de la maison d’Achab; et je nettoierai Jérusalem comme un plat qu’on nettoie, et qu’on renverse sens dessus dessous après l’avoir nettoyé.
14 J’abandonnerai le reste de mon héritage, et je les livrerai entre les mains de leurs ennemis; et ils deviendront le butin et la proie de tous leurs ennemis,
15 parce qu’ils ont fait ce qui est mal à mes yeux et qu’ils m’ont irrité depuis le jour où leurs pères sont sortis d’Égypte jusqu’à ce jour.
16 Manassé répandit aussi beaucoup de sang innocent, jusqu’à en remplir Jérusalem d’un bout à l’autre, outre les péchés qu’il commit et qu’il fit commettre à Juda en faisant ce qui est mal aux yeux de l’Éternel.
17 Le reste des actions de Manassé, tout ce qu’il a fait, et les péchés auxquels il se livra, cela n’est-il pas écrit dans le livre des Chroniques des rois de Juda?
18 Manassé se coucha avec ses pères, et il fut enterré dans le jardin de sa maison, dans le jardin d’Uzza. Et Amon, son fils, régna à sa place.
19 Amon avait vingt-deux ans lorsqu’il devint roi, et il régna deux ans à Jérusalem. Sa mère s’appelait Meschullémeth, fille de Haruts, de Jotba.
20 Il fit ce qui est mal aux yeux de l’Éternel, comme avait fait Manassé, son père;
21 il marcha dans toute la voie où avait marché son père, il servit les idoles qu’avait servies son père, et il se prosterna devant elles;
22 il abandonna l’Éternel, le Dieu de ses pères, et il ne marcha point dans la voie de l’Éternel.
23 Les serviteurs d’Amon conspirèrent contre lui, et firent mourir le roi dans sa maison.
24 Mais le peuple du pays frappa tous ceux qui avaient conspiré contre le roi Amon; et le peuple du pays établit roi Josias, son fils, à sa place.
25 Le reste des actions d’Amon, et ce qu’il a fait, cela n’est-il pas écrit dans le livre des Chroniques des rois de Juda?
26 On l’enterra dans son sépulcre, dans le jardin d’Uzza. Et Josias, son fils, régna à sa place.

1 Manasseh was twelve years old when he began to reign, and reigned fifty and five years in Jerusalem. And his mother’s name was Hephzibah.
2 And he did that which was evil in the sight of the Lord, after the abominations of the heathen, whom the Lord cast out before the children of Israel.
3 For he built up again the high places which Hezekiah his father had destroyed; and he reared up altars for Baal, and made a grove, as did Ahab king of Israel; and worshipped all the host of heaven, and served them.
4 And he built altars in the house of the Lord, of which the Lord said, In Jerusalem will I put my name.
5 And he built altars for all the host of heaven in the two courts of the house of the Lord.
6 And he made his son pass through the fire, and observed times, and used enchantments, and dealt with familiar spirits and wizards: he wrought much wickedness in the sight of the Lord, to provoke him to anger.
7 And he set a graven image of the grove that he had made in the house, of which the Lord said to David, and to Solomon his son, In this house, and in Jerusalem, which I have chosen out of all tribes of Israel, will I put my name for ever:
8 Neither will I make the feet of Israel move any more out of the land which I gave their fathers; only if they will observe to do according to all that I have commanded them, and according to all the law that my servant Moses commanded them.
9 But they hearkened not: and Manasseh seduced them to do more evil than did the nations whom the Lord destroyed before the children of Israel.
10 And the Lord spake by his servants the prophets, saying,
11 Because Manasseh king of Judah hath done these abominations, and hath done wickedly above all that the Amorites did, which were before him, and hath made Judah also to sin with his idols:
12 Therefore thus saith the Lord God of Israel, Behold, I am bringing such evil upon Jerusalem and Judah, that whosoever heareth of it, both his ears shall tingle.
13 And I will stretch over Jerusalem the line of Samaria, and the plummet of the house of Ahab: and I will wipe Jerusalem as a man wipeth a dish, wiping it, and turning it upside down.
14 And I will forsake the remnant of mine inheritance, and deliver them into the hand of their enemies; and they shall become a prey and a spoil to all their enemies;
15 Because they have done that which was evil in my sight, and have provoked me to anger, since the day their fathers came forth out of Egypt, even unto this day.
16 Moreover Manasseh shed innocent blood very much, till he had filled Jerusalem from one end to another; beside his sin wherewith he made Judah to sin, in doing that which was evil in the sight of the Lord.
17 Now the rest of the acts of Manasseh, and all that he did, and his sin that he sinned, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?
18 And Manasseh slept with his fathers, and was buried in the garden of his own house, in the garden of Uzza: and Amon his son reigned in his stead.
19 Amon was twenty and two years old when he began to reign, and he reigned two years in Jerusalem. And his mother’s name was Meshullemeth, the daughter of Haruz of Jotbah.
20 And he did that which was evil in the sight of the Lord, as his father Manasseh did.
21 And he walked in all the way that his father walked in, and served the idols that his father served, and worshipped them:
22 And he forsook the Lord God of his fathers, and walked not in the way of the Lord.
23 And the servants of Amon conspired against him, and slew the king in his own house.
24 And the people of the land slew all them that had conspired against king Amon; and the people of the land made Josiah his son king in his stead.
25 Now the rest of the acts of Amon which he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?
26 And he was buried in his sepulchre in the garden of Uzza: and Josiah his son reigned in his stead.
