Ézayi 39
1 Nan menm epòk sa a, wa peyi Babilòn lan, Mewodak-Baladan, pitit gason Baladan, vin konnen wa Ezekyas te malad epi li refè. Li voye yon lèt ba li ansanm ak yon kado.
2 Ezekyas te kontan jès la. Li moutre mesaje wa Babilòn te voye yo tout richès li yo: pyès an ajan, lò, epis, boutèy odè, zam ansanm ak tout lòt bagay li te gen nan depo l’ yo. Li fè yo wè dènye bagay li te gen lakay li ak nan tout peyi a.
3 Lè sa a, pwofèt Ezayi al jwenn wa Ezekyas, li mande l’: -Kote mesye sa yo soti? Kisa yo di ou? Ezekyas reponn: -Yo soti nan yon peyi byen lwen, yo soti nan peyi Babilòn.
4 Ezayi di l’ konsa: -Kisa yo wè nan palè a? Ezekyas reponn li: -Yo wè tou sa ki nan palè a. Mwen fè yo wè dènye bagay mwen gen nan depo m’ yo.
5 Ezayi di wa Ezekyas konsa: -Koute mesaj Seyè ki gen tout pouvwa a voye ba ou:
6 Yon lè gen pou rive. Lè sa a, y’ap pran dènye bagay ki nan palè ou la, tou sa zansèt ou yo te anpile jouk jounen jòdi a, y’ap pote yo ale nan peyi Babilòn. Yo p’ap kite anyen. Se Seyè a menm ki di sa.
7 Y’ap pran kèk nan pwòp pitit pitit ou yo, y’ap depòte yo, y’ap chatre yo pou yo ka sèvi nèg konfyans nan palè wa Babilòn lan.
8 Ezekyas reponn Ezayi, li di l’ konsa: -Mesaj Bondye ba ou pou di m’ lan gen tan bon. Men li t’ap di nan kè l’: Depi pa gen boulvès, depi pa gen lagè nan peyi a tout tan m’ap viv la!

1 En ce même temps, Merodac Baladan, fils de Baladan, roi de Babylone, envoya une lettre et un présent à Ézéchias, parce qu’il avait appris sa maladie et son rétablissement.
2 Ézéchias en eut de la joie, et il montra aux envoyés le lieu où étaient ses choses de prix, l’argent et l’or, les aromates et l’huile précieuse, tout son arsenal, et tout ce qui se trouvait dans ses trésors: il n’y eut rien qu’Ézéchias ne leur fît voir dans sa maison et dans tous ses domaines.
3 Ésaïe, le prophète, vint ensuite auprès du roi Ézéchias, et lui dit: Qu’ont dit ces gens-là, et d’où sont-ils venus vers toi? Ézéchias répondit: Ils sont venus vers moi d’un pays éloigné, de Babylone.
4 Ésaïe dit encore: Qu’ont-ils vu dans ta maison? Ézéchias répondit: Ils ont vu tout ce qui est dans ma maison: il n’y a rien dans mes trésors que je ne leur aie fait voir.
5 Alors Ésaïe dit à Ézéchias: Écoute la parole de l’Éternel des armées!
6 Voici, les temps viendront où l’on emportera à Babylone tout ce qui est dans ta maison et ce que tes pères ont amassé jusqu’à ce jour; il n’en restera rien, dit l’Éternel.
7 Et l’on prendra de tes fils, qui seront sortis de toi, que tu auras engendrés, pour en faire des eunuques dans le palais du roi de Babylone.
8 Ézéchias répondit à Ésaïe: La parole de l’Éternel, que tu as prononcée, est bonne; car, ajouta-t-il, il y aura paix et sécurité pendant ma vie.

Isaiah 39
1 At that time Merodachbaladan, the son of Baladan, king of Babylon, sent letters and a present to Hezekiah: for he had heard that he had been sick, and was recovered.
2 And Hezekiah was glad of them, and shewed them the house of his precious things, the silver, and the gold, and the spices, and the precious ointment, and all the house of his armour, and all that was found in his treasures: there was nothing in his house, nor in all his dominion, that Hezekiah shewed them not.
3 Then came Isaiah the prophet unto king Hezekiah, and said unto him, What said these men? and from whence came they unto thee? And Hezekiah said, They are come from a far country unto me, even from Babylon.
4 Then said he, What have they seen in thine house? And Hezekiah answered, All that is in mine house have they seen: there is nothing among my treasures that I have not shewed them.
5 Then said Isaiah to Hezekiah, Hear the word of the Lord of hosts:
6 Behold, the days come, that all that is in thine house, and that which thy fathers have laid up in store until this day, shall be carried to Babylon: nothing shall be left, saith the Lord.
7 And of thy sons that shall issue from thee, which thou shalt beget, shall they take away; and they shall be eunuchs in the palace of the king of Babylon.
8 Then said Hezekiah to Isaiah, Good is the word of the Lord which thou hast spoken. He said moreover, For there shall be peace and truth in my days.
