Sòm 20
1 Pou chèf sanba yo. Se yon sòm David. (20:2) Se pou Seyè a reponn ou lè ou anba tray. Se pou Bondye Jakòb la pwoteje ou.
2 Se pou l’ rete lakay li pou l’ voye ede ou. Se pou l’ rete sou mòn Siyon an pou l’ soutni ou.
3 Se pou l’ chonje tou sa ou ofri ba li, pou l’ kontan tou bèt ou fè touye pou li.
4 Se pou l’ ba ou tou sa ou ta renmen. Se pou l’ fè tou sa ou gen lide fè rive vre.
5 Lè sa a, n’ap rele, n’ap kontan dèske ou genyen batay la. N’ap fè fèt paske ou genyen batay la, n’ap fè lwanj Bondye nou an. Se pou Seyè a ba ou tou sa ou mande l’.
6 Koulye a, mwen konnen Seyè a ap fè moun li chwazi a genyen batay la. Li rete nan syèl la, nan kay ki pou li a, li reponn li. Li fè l’ genyen batay la avèk gwo pouvwa li.
7 Gen moun ki mete konfyans yo nan machin pou fè lagè. Gen lòt moun, se nan chwal yo yo mete konfyans yo. Men nou menm, se nan pouvwa Seyè a, Bondye nou an, nou mete konfyans nou.
8 Yo menm, yo gen pou yo bite, pou yo tonbe. Men nou menm, nou kanpe, n’ap kenbe fèm.
9 Seyè, fè wa a genyen batay la non! Reponn nou non, lè n’ap rele ou!

Psaumes 20
1 Au chef des chantres. Psaume de David. Que l’Éternel t’exauce au jour de la détresse, Que le nom du Dieu de Jacob te protège!
2 Que du sanctuaire il t’envoie du secours, Que de Sion il te soutienne!
3 Qu’il se souvienne de toutes tes offrandes, Et qu’il agrée tes holocaustes! -Pause.
4 Qu’il te donne ce que ton coeur désire, Et qu’il accomplisse tous tes desseins!
5 Nous nous réjouirons de ton salut, Nous lèverons l’étendard au nom de notre Dieu; L’Éternel exaucera tous tes voeux.
6 Je sais déjà que l’Éternel sauve son oint; Il l’exaucera des cieux, de sa sainte demeure, Par le secours puissant de sa droite.
7 Ceux-ci s’appuient sur leurs chars, ceux-là sur leurs chevaux; Nous, nous invoquons le nom de l’Éternel, notre Dieu.
8 Eux, ils plient, et ils tombent; Nous, nous tenons ferme, et restons debout.
9 Éternel, sauve le roi! Qu’il nous exauce, quand nous l’invoquons!

Psalm 20
1 The Lord hear thee in the day of trouble; the name of the God of Jacob defend thee;
2 Send thee help from the sanctuary, and strengthen thee out of Zion;
3 Remember all thy offerings, and accept thy burnt sacrifice; Selah.
4 Grant thee according to thine own heart, and fulfil all thy counsel.
5 We will rejoice in thy salvation, and in the name of our God we will set up our banners: the Lord fulfil all thy petitions.
6 Now know I that the Lord saveth his anointed; he will hear him from his holy heaven with the saving strength of his right hand.
7 Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the Lord our God.
8 They are brought down and fallen: but we are risen, and stand upright.
9 Save, Lord: let the king hear us when we call.
