1 Men moun ki te soti nan branch fanmi Arawon an dapre travay yo. Arawon te gen kat pitit gason: Nadab, Abiyou, Eleaza ak Itama.
2 Men Nadab ak Abiyou mouri anvan papa yo, san kite pitit gason. Konsa, se Eleaza ak Itama ki vin prèt apre Arawon.
3 Avèk konkou Zadòk, moun fanmi Eleaza a, ak Akimelèk, moun fanmi Itama a, wa David separe moun fanmi Arawon yo an gwoup. Chak gwoup te gen travay pa yo.
4 Men, lè yo jwenn te gen plis gason chèf fanmi nan moun Eleaza yo pase nan moun Itama yo, yo òganize sèz gwoup nan moun Eleaza yo ak wit gwoup nan moun Itama yo.
5 Nan tou de fanmi yo te gen moun ki te chèf nan Tanp lan ak chèf pou fè sèvis Bondye. Chak moun te gen tou pa yo. Yo te fè yo piye pou yo te ka konnen tou chak moun.
6 Se konsa, Chemaja, pitit Netaneyèl, yonn nan moun Levi yo, ki te sekretè, te kouche non yo nan rejis devan wa a, devan chèf yo, devan Zadòk, prèt la, devan Akimelèk, pitit Abyata, ak devan tout chèf fanmi prèt yo ak moun Levi yo. Yo piye yonn apre lòt, de moun Eleaza pou chak yon moun Itama.
7 Men nan ki lòd vennkat gwoup yo te soti lè yo fin piye: Jeoyarib soti premye, Jedaja dezyèm,
8 Arim twazyèm, Seorim katriyèm,
9 Malkija senkyèm, Mijamen sizyèm,
10 Akòz setyèm, Abija wityèm,
11 Jezwa nevyèm, Chekanya dizyèm,
12 Elyakib onzyèm, Yakim douzyèm,
13 Oupa trèzyèm, Jekebeab katòzyèm,
14 Bilga kenzyèm, Imè sèzyèm,
15 Ezi disetyèm, Apizèz dizwityèm,

21 Ichiya nan fanmi Rekabya. Se li ki te pi gran.
22 Te gen Chelomòt nan fanmi Jizeya, Jaat nan fanmi Chelomòt.
23 Nan fanmi Ebwon an te gen Jerija, pi gran an, Amarya, dezyèm lan, Jaziyèl, twazyèm lan ak Jekameam, katriyèm lan.
24 Te gen tou Miche, pitit gason Ouzyèl, Chami, pitit gason Miche.
25 Jikija, frè Miche a, Zakari, pitit gason Jikija,
26 Makli ak Mouchi, pitit gason Merari, pitit gason Jazya yo, ki te pitit Merari.
27 Nan fanmi Merari a, Jazya, pitit li, te gen twa pitit gason: Choam, Zakou ak Ibri.
28 Makli te gen de pitit gason: Eleaza ki pa t’ gen pitit gason,
29 ak Kich ki te papa Jerakmeyèl.
30 Mouchi te gen twa gason: Makli, Edè ak Jerimòt. Se tout fanmi Levi yo sa dapre non zansèt yo.
31 Tankou moun fanmi Arawon yo, yo menm tou, yo piye devan wa David, devan Zadòk ak Akimelèk, devan chèf fanmi prèt yo ak moun Levi yo, pou yo separe travay la bay chak moun pa yo, depi sou fanmi chèf yo rive sou fanmi pi piti ladan yo, san patipri.

1 Voici les classes des fils d’Aaron. Fils d’Aaron: Nadab, Abihu, Éléazar et Ithamar.
2 Nadab et Abihu moururent avant leur père, sans avoir de fils; et Éléazar et Ithamar remplirent les fonctions du sacerdoce.
3 David divisa les fils d’Aaron en les classant pour le service qu’ils avaient à faire; Tsadok appartenait aux descendants d’Éléazar, et Achimélec aux descendants d’Ithamar.
4 Il se trouva parmi les fils d’Éléazar plus de chefs que parmi les fils d’Ithamar, et on en fit la division; les fils d’Éléazar avaient seize chefs de maisons paternelles, et les fils d’Ithamar huit chefs de maisons paternelles.
5 On les classa par le sort, les uns avec les autres, car les chefs du sanctuaire et les chefs de de Dieu étaient des fils d’Éléazar et des fils d’Ithamar.
6 Schemaeja, fils de Nethaneel, le secrétaire, de la tribu de Lévi, les inscrivit devant le roi et les princes, devant Tsadok, le sacrificateur, et Achimélec, fils d’Abiathar, et devant les chefs des maisons paternelles des sacrificateurs et des Lévites. On tira au sort une maison paternelle pour Éléazar, et on en tira une autre pour Ithamar.
7 Le premier sort échut à Jehojarib; le second, à Jedaeja;
8 le troisième, à Harim; le quatrième, à Seorim;
9 le cinquième, à Malkija; le sixième, à Mijamin;
10 le septième, à Hakkots; le huitième, à Abija;
11 le neuvième, à Josué; le dixième, à Schecania;
12 le onzième, à Éliaschib; le douzième, à Jakim;
13 le treizième, à Huppa; le quatorzième, à Jeschébeab;
14 le quinzième, à Bilga; le seizième, à Immer;
15 le dix-septième, à Hézir; le dix-huitième, à Happitsets;
16 le dix-neuvième, à Pethachja; le vingtième, à Ézéchiel;
17 le vingt et unième, à Jakin; le vingt-deuxième, à Gamul;
18 le vingt-troisième, à Delaja; le vingt-quatrième, à Maazia.
19 C’est ainsi qu’ils furent classés pour leur service, afin qu’ils entrassent dans la maison de l’Éternel en se conformant à la règle établie par Aaron, leur père, d’après les ordres que lui avait donnés l’Éternel, le Dieu d’Israël.
20 Voici les chefs du reste des Lévites. -Des fils d’Amram: Schubaël; des fils de Schubaël: Jechdia;
21 de Rechabia, des fils de Rechabia: le chef Jischija.
22 Des Jitseharites: Schelomoth; des fils de Schelomoth: Jachath.
23 Fils d’Hébron: Jerija, Amaria le second, Jachaziel le troisième, Jekameam le quatrième.
24 Fils d’Uziel: Michée; des fils de Michée: Schamir;
25 frère de Michée: Jischija; des fils de Jischija: Zacharie. –
26 Fils de Merari: Machli et Muschi, et les fils de Jaazija, son fils.
27 Fils de Merari, de Jaazija, son fils: Schoham, Zaccur et Ibri.
28 De Machli: Éléazar, qui n’eut point de fils;
29 de Kis, les fils de Kis: Jerachmeel.
30 Fils de Muschi: Machli, Éder et Jerimoth. Ce sont là les fils de Lévi, selon leurs maisons paternelles.
31 Eux aussi, comme leurs frères, les fils d’Aaron, ils tirèrent au sort devant le roi David, Tsadok et Achimélec, et les chefs des maisons paternelles des sacrificateurs et des Lévites. Il en fut ainsi pour chaque chef de maison comme pour le moindre de ses frères.

1 Now these are the divisions of the sons of Aaron. The sons of Aaron; Nadab, and Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.
2 But Nadab and Abihu died before their father, and had no children: therefore Eleazar and Ithamar executed the priest’s office.
3 And David distributed them, both Zadok of the sons of Eleazar, and Ahimelech of the sons of Ithamar, according to their offices in their service.
4 And there were more chief men found of the sons of Eleazar than of the sons of Ithamar, and thus were they divided. Among the sons of Eleazar there were sixteen chief men of the house of their fathers, and eight among the sons of Ithamar according to the house of their fathers.
5 Thus were they divided by lot, one sort with another; for the governors of the sanctuary, and governors of the house of God, were of the sons of Eleazar, and of the sons of Ithamar.
6 And Shemaiah the son of Nethaneel the scribe, one of the Levites, wrote them before the king, and the princes, and Zadok the priest, and Ahimelech the son of Abiathar, and before the chief of the fathers of the priests and Levites: one principal household being taken for Eleazar, and one taken for Ithamar.
7 Now the first lot came forth to Jehoiarib, the second to Jedaiah,
8 The third to Harim, the fourth to Seorim,
9 The fifth to Malchijah, the sixth to Mijamin,
10 The seventh to Hakkoz, the eighth to Abijah,
11 The ninth to Jeshuah, the tenth to Shecaniah,
12 The eleventh to Eliashib, the twelfth to Jakim,
13 The thirteenth to Huppah, the fourteenth to Jeshebeab,
14 The fifteenth to Bilgah, the sixteenth to Immer,
15 The seventeenth to Hezir, the eighteenth to Aphses,
16 The nineteenth to Pethahiah, the twentieth to Jehezekel,
17 The one and twentieth to Jachin, the two and twentieth to Gamul,
18 The three and twentieth to Delaiah, the four and twentieth to Maaziah.
19 These were the orderings of them in their service to come into the house of the Lord, according to their manner, under Aaron their father, as the Lord God of Israel had commanded him.
20 And the rest of the sons of Levi were these: Of the sons of Amram; Shubael: of the sons of Shubael; Jehdeiah.
21 Concerning Rehabiah: of the sons of Rehabiah, the first was Isshiah.
22 Of the Izharites; Shelomoth: of the sons of Shelomoth; Jahath.
23 And the sons of Hebron; Jeriah the first, Amariah the second, Jahaziel the third, Jekameam the fourth.
24 Of the sons of Uzziel; Michah: of the sons of Michah; Shamir.
25 The brother of Michah was Isshiah: of the sons of Isshiah; Zechariah.
26 The sons of Merari were Mahli and Mushi: the sons of Jaaziah; Beno.
27 The sons of Merari by Jaaziah; Beno, and Shoham, and Zaccur, and Ibri.
28 Of Mahli came Eleazar, who had no sons.
29 Concerning Kish: the son of Kish was Jerahmeel.
30 The sons also of Mushi; Mahli, and Eder, and Jerimoth. These were the sons of the Levites after the house of their fathers.
31 These likewise cast lots over against their brethren the sons of Aaron in the presence of David the king, and Zadok, and Ahimelech, and the chief of the fathers of the priests and Levites, even the principal fathers over against their younger brethren.
