2 Kèk moun ki renmen Bondye te antere Etyèn, yo te kriye anpil pou li.
3 Sòl menm te soti pou l’ fini ak legliz la. Li mache kay an kay, li trennen tout moun ki kwè yo rache yo met deyò pa fòs, li fè fèmen fanm kou gason nan prizon.
4 Disip ki te gaye nan peyi a t’ap anonse bon nouvèl la toupatou.
5 Se konsa Filip al nan yon lavil peyi Samari. Rive la li tanmen pale sou Kris la bay moun yo.
6 Foul moun yo mete tèt yo ansanm, yo t’ap swiv sa Filip t’ap di yo: yo t’ap koute l’, yo t’ap wè mirak li t’ap fè.

9 Nan lavil sa a te gen yon nonm yo rele Simon. Metye l’ se fè maji. Simon sa a te yon sezisman pou tout moun Samari. Li te fè tèt li pase pou yon grannèg.
10 Tout moun, piti kou gran, t’ap swiv tou sa li t’ap fè. Yo t’ap di: Nonm sa a gen pouvwa Bondye, sa yo rele gwo pouvwa a, nan tèt li.
11 Se konsa yo t’ap swiv tou sa li t’ap fè paske depi lontan yo te egare devan maji l’ yo.
12 Men, lè Filip anonse bon nouvèl peyi kote Bondye wa a, lè l’ fè yo konnen non Jezi Kris la, moun yo kwè pawòl la; fanm kou gason resevwa batèm.
13 Ata Simon te kwè. Li menm tou li te resevwa batèm. Apre sa, li te toujou avèk Filip, li te sezi wè bèl bagay ak mirak li t’ap fè.
14 Apòt yo menm ki te lavil Jerizalèm, lè yo tande moun Samari te asepte pawòl Bondye a, yo voye Pyè ak Jan bò kote yo.
15 Lè Pyè ak Jan rive Samari, yo lapriyè pou moun ki kwè yo pou yo te kapab resevwa Sentespri,
16 paske Sentespri a pa t’ ankò desann sou okenn nan yo. Yo te resevwa batèm nan non Seyè Jezi a sèlman.
17 Lè sa a, Pyè ak Jan mete men sou tèt yo, yo resevwa Sentespri.
18 Simon te wè jan moun yo te resevwa Sentespri lè apòt yo mete men sou tèt yo. Li ofri Pye ak Jan lajan.
19 Li di yo: Ban m’ pouvwa sa a tou, pou lè m’ mete men m’ sou tèt yon moun li ka resevwa Sentespri a tou.
20 Men, Pyè di li: Al mouri ansanm ak tout lajan ou lan! Sa Bondye fè kado, ou kwè moun ka achte sa ak lajan?
21 Nan travay sa a, pa gen anyen pou ou; ou pa gen dwa ladan l’ paske kè ou pa dwat devan Bondye.
22 Wete move lide sa a nan tèt ou, lapriyè Bondye pou ou wè si la padonnen ou dèske ou te fè lide sa a.
23 Paske mwen wè kè ou anmè kou fyèl, peche fin mare nanm ou.
24 Lè sa a, Simon di Pyè ak Jan konsa: Tanpri souple, lapriyè Bondye pou mwen, pou anyen nan sa nou di a pa rive mwen.

27 Filip leve, li pati. Antan l’ sou wout la, yon nonm parèt devan l’; se te yon moun peyi Letiopi, yon nèg konfyans. Li te yon gwo chèf nan peyi Letiopi. Se li menm ki te reskonsab tout richès Kandas, larenn peyi a. Li te moute lavil Jerizalèm pou adore Bondye.
28 Antan li t’ap tounen nan peyi l’, li te chita nan cha li, li t’ap li nan liv pwofèt Ezayi a.
29 Sentespri di Filip konsa: Leve pye ou, rive toupre cha a.
30 Filip kouri ale bò cha a, li tande moun peyi Letiopi a ki t’ap li nan liv pwofèt Ezayi a. Li mande li: Eske ou konprann sa w’ap li la a?
31 Nonm lan reponn li: Ki jan pou m’ fè konprann si m’ pa jwenn moun pou esplike mwen? Epi li mande Filip pou l’ moute nan cha a, vin chita bò kote li.
32 Men pasaj li t’ap li nan liv la: Li te tankou yon mouton yo t’ap mennen labatwa. Li te tankou yon ti mouton ki pa janm rele lè y’ap taye lenn sou do li. Li pa janm louvri bouch li di anyen.

34 Chèf peyi Letiopi a mande Filip: Di m’ non, ki moun pwofèt la ap pale konsa: tèt pa l’ osinon yon lòt moun?
35 Filip pran pale: li kòmanse avèk pasaj li t’ap li nan liv la, li fè l’ konnen bon nouvèl ki pale sou Jezi a.
36 Antan yo prale konsa, yo rive yon kote ki te gen dlo. Lè sa a, nonm peyi Letiopi a di li: Bon, men dlo. Kisa ki pou anpeche m’ resevwa batèm?
37 Filip di li: Si ou kwè ak tout kè ou, ou ka resevwa batèm. Nonm lan reponn li: Mwen kwè Jezikri se Pitit Bondye a.
38 Apre sa, li fè yo rete cha a. Filip desann nan dlo a ansanm ak gwo chèf la. Filip batize li.
39 Lè yo soti nan dlo a, Lespri Bondye fè Filip disparèt, gwo chèf la pa janm wè l’ ankò. Men, li kontinye chemen l’ ak kè kontan.
40 Filip menm rete konsa li wè li lavil Azòt. Apre sa, li pran mache. Nan tout ti bouk kote l’ pase, li anonse bon nouvèl la jouk li rive lavil Sezare.

Actes 8
1 Saul avait approuvé le meurtre d’Étienne. Il y eut, ce jour-là, une grande persécution contre l’Église de Jérusalem; et tous, excepté les apôtres, se dispersèrent dans les contrées de la Judée et de la Samarie.
2 Des hommes pieux ensevelirent Étienne, et le pleurèrent à grand bruit.
3 Saul, de son côté, ravageait l’Église; pénétrant dans les maisons, il en arrachait hommes et femmes, et les faisait jeter en prison.
4 Ceux qui avaient été dispersés allaient de lieu en lieu, annonçant la bonne nouvelle de la parole.
5 Philippe, étant descendu dans la ville de Samarie, y prêcha le Christ.
6 Les foules tout entières étaient attentives à ce que disait Philippe, lorsqu’elles apprirent et virent les miracles qu’il faisait.
7 Car des esprits impurs sortirent de plusieurs démoniaques, en poussant de grands cris, et beaucoup de paralytiques et de boiteux furent guéris.
8 Et il y eut une grande joie dans cette ville.
9 Il y avait auparavant dans la ville un homme nommé Simon, qui, se donnant pour un personnage important, exerçait la magie et provoquait l’étonnement du peuple de la Samarie.
10 Tous, depuis le plus petit jusqu’au plus grand, l’écoutaient attentivement, et disaient: Celui-ci est la puissance de Dieu, celle qui s’appelle la grande.
11 Ils l’écoutaient attentivement, parce qu’il les avait longtemps étonnés par ses actes de magie.
12 Mais, quand ils eurent cru à Philippe, qui leur annonçait la bonne nouvelle du royaume de Dieu et du nom de Jésus Christ, hommes et femmes se firent baptiser.
13 Simon lui-même crut, et, après avoir été baptisé, il ne quittait plus Philippe, et il voyait avec étonnement les miracles et les grands prodiges qui s’opéraient.
14 Les apôtres, qui étaient à Jérusalem, ayant appris que la Samarie avait reçu la parole de Dieu, y envoyèrent Pierre et Jean.
15 Ceux-ci, arrivés chez les Samaritains, prièrent pour eux, afin qu’ils reçussent le Saint Esprit.
16 Car il n’était encore descendu sur aucun d’eux; ils avaient seulement été baptisés au nom du Seigneur Jésus.
17 Alors Pierre et Jean leur imposèrent les mains, et ils reçurent le Saint Esprit.
18 Lorsque Simon vit que le Saint Esprit était donné par l’imposition des mains des apôtres, il leur offrit de l’argent,
19 en disant: Accordez-moi aussi ce pouvoir, afin que celui à qui j’imposerai les mains reçoive le Saint Esprit.
20 Mais Pierre lui dit: Que ton argent périsse avec toi, puisque tu as cru que le don de Dieu s’acquérait à prix d’argent!
21 Il n’y a pour toi ni part ni lot dans cette affaire, car ton coeur n’est pas droit devant Dieu.
22 Repens-toi donc de ta méchanceté, et prie le Seigneur pour que la pensée de ton coeur te soit pardonnée, s’il est possible;
23 car je vois que tu es dans un fiel amer et dans les liens de l’iniquité.
24 Simon répondit: Priez vous-mêmes le Seigneur pour moi, afin qu’il ne m’arrive rien de ce que vous avez dit.
25 Après avoir rendu témoignage à la parole du Seigneur, et après l’avoir prêchée, Pierre et Jean retournèrent à Jérusalem, en annonçant la bonne nouvelle dans plusieurs villages des Samaritains.
26 Un ange du Seigneur, s’adressant à Philippe, lui dit: Lève-toi, et va du côté du midi, sur le chemin qui descend de Jérusalem à Gaza, celui qui est désert.
27 Il se leva, et partit. Et voici, un Éthiopien, un eunuque, ministre de Candace, reine d’Éthiopie, et surintendant de tous ses trésors, venu à Jérusalem pour adorer,
28 s’en retournait, assis sur son char, et lisait le prophète Ésaïe.
29 L’Esprit dit à Philippe: Avance, et approche-toi de ce char.
30 Philippe accourut, et entendit l’Éthiopien qui lisait le prophète Ésaïe. Il lui dit: Comprends-tu ce que tu lis?
31 Il répondit: Comment le pourrais-je, si quelqu’un ne me guide? Et il invita Philippe à monter et à s’asseoir avec lui.
32 Le passage de l’Écriture qu’il lisait était celui-ci: Il a été mené comme une brebis à la boucherie; Et, comme un agneau muet devant celui qui le tond, Il n’a point ouvert la bouche.
33 Dans son humiliation, son jugement a été levé. Et sa postérité, qui la dépeindra? Car sa vie a été retranchée de la terre.
34 L’eunuque dit à Philippe: Je te prie, de qui le prophète parle-t-il ainsi? Est-ce de lui-même, ou de quelque autre?
35 Alors Philippe, ouvrant la bouche et commençant par ce passage, lui annonça la bonne nouvelle de Jésus.
36 Comme ils continuaient leur chemin, ils rencontrèrent de l’eau. Et l’eunuque dit: Voici de l’eau; qu’est-ce qui empêche que je ne sois baptisé?
37 Philippe dit: Si tu crois de tout ton coeur, cela est possible. L’eunuque répondit: Je crois que Jésus Christ est le Fils de Dieu.
38 Il fit arrêter le char; Philippe et l’eunuque descendirent tous deux dans l’eau, et Philippe baptisa l’eunuque.
39 Quand ils furent sortis de l’eau, l’Esprit du Seigneur enleva Philippe, et l’eunuque ne le vit plus. Tandis que, joyeux, il poursuivait sa route,
40 Philippe se trouva dans Azot, d’où il alla jusqu’à Césarée, en évangélisant toutes les villes par lesquelles il passait.

Acts 8
1 And Saul was consenting unto his death. And at that time there was a great persecution against the church which was at Jerusalem; and they were all scattered abroad throughout the regions of Judaea and Samaria, except the apostles.
2 And devout men carried Stephen to his burial, and made great lamentation over him.
3 As for Saul, he made havock of the church, entering into every house, and haling men and women committed them to prison.
4 Therefore they that were scattered abroad went every where preaching the word.
5 Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria, and preached Christ unto them.
6 And the people with one accord gave heed unto those things which Philip spake, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did.
7 For unclean spirits, crying with loud voice, came out of many that were possessed with them: and many taken with palsies, and that were lame, were healed.
8 And there was great joy in that city.
9 But there was a certain man, called Simon, which beforetime in the same city used sorcery, and bewitched the people of Samaria, giving out that himself was some great one:
10 To whom they all gave heed, from the least to the greatest, saying, This man is the great power of God.
11 And to him they had regard, because that of long time he had bewitched them with sorceries.
12 But when they believed Philip preaching the things concerning the kingdom of God, and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women.
13 Then Simon himself believed also: and when he was baptized, he continued with Philip, and wondered, beholding the miracles and signs which were done.
14 Now when the apostles which were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent unto them Peter and John:
15 Who, when they were come down, prayed for them, that they might receive the Holy Ghost:
16 (For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.)
17 Then laid they their hands on them, and they received the Holy Ghost.
18 And when Simon saw that through laying on of the apostles’ hands the Holy Ghost was given, he offered them money,
19 Saying, Give me also this power, that on whomsoever I lay hands, he may receive the Holy Ghost.
20 But Peter said unto him, Thy money perish with thee, because thou hast thought that the gift of God may be purchased with money.
21 Thou hast neither part nor lot in this matter: for thy heart is not right in the sight of God.
22 Repent therefore of this thy wickedness, and pray God, if perhaps the thought of thine heart may be forgiven thee.
23 For I perceive that thou art in the gall of bitterness, and in the bond of iniquity.
24 Then answered Simon, and said, Pray ye to the Lord for me, that none of these things which ye have spoken come upon me.
25 And they, when they had testified and preached the word of the Lord, returned to Jerusalem, and preached the gospel in many villages of the Samaritans.
26 And the angel of the Lord spake unto Philip, saying, Arise, and go toward the south unto the way that goeth down from Jerusalem unto Gaza, which is desert.
27 And he arose and went: and, behold, a man of Ethiopia, an eunuch of great authority under Candace queen of the Ethiopians, who had the charge of all her treasure, and had come to Jerusalem for to worship,
28 Was returning, and sitting in his chariot read Esaias the prophet.
29 Then the Spirit said unto Philip, Go near, and join thyself to this chariot.
30 And Philip ran thither to him, and heard him read the prophet Esaias, and said, Understandest thou what thou readest?
31 And he said, How can I, except some man should guide me? And he desired Philip that he would come up and sit with him.
32 The place of the scripture which he read was this, He was led as a sheep to the slaughter; and like a lamb dumb before his shearer, so opened he not his mouth:
33 In his humiliation his judgment was taken away: and who shall declare his generation? for his life is taken from the earth.
34 And the eunuch answered Philip, and said, I pray thee, of whom speaketh the prophet this? of himself, or of some other man?
35 Then Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same scripture, and preached unto him Jesus.
36 And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized?
37 And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.
38 And he commanded the chariot to stand still: and they went down both into the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him.
39 And when they were come up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught away Philip, that the eunuch saw him no more: and he went on his way rejoicing.
40 But Philip was found at Azotus: and passing through he preached in all the cities, till he came to Caesarea.
