1 Nou menm moun zile yo, pe bouch nou! Koute sa m’ap di nou! Mete gason sou nou! Pwoche vin defann kòz nou! Annou plede pou n’ wè kilès ki gen rezon!
2 Kilès ki te fè chèf la soti bò solèy leve, ki te fè l’ genyen nan tout batay kote l’ pase? Kilès ki te lage tout nasyon yo nan men l’, ki soumèt tout wa yo devan l’? Avèk nepe li, li kraze yo fè yo tounen pousyè. Avèk flèch li yo, li fè yo kouri tankou pay van ap gaye.
3 L’ap fann nan siyay yo, l’ap kouri san li pa pè anyen. Pye l’ pa menm touche tè.
4 Se travay ki moun sa? Kilès ki lakòz tout bagay sa yo rive? Ki moun ki depi nan kòmansman ap rele lèzòm, pitit an pitit, pou yo fè travay li sou latè? Se mwen menm, Seyè a, ki la anvan yo tout. Se mwen menm k’ap toujou la apre yo tout.
5 Moun zile yo wè sa, yo pè. Moun nan dènye bout latè pran tranble, yo pwoche, yo vini.
6 Yonn ap ede lòt. Yonn ap di lòt: Pran kouraj!
7 Bòs atizan k’ap fè estati a ap ankouraje òfèv la. Moun k’ap fin bay estati a fòm ak ti kout mato l’ yo ap ankouraje bòs fòjon an. Yon lòt di: Soudi a bon! Yo kloure zidòl la nan plas li pou li pa tonbe.
8 Men, nou menm pèp Izrayèl, sèvitè m’ yo! nou se pitit pitit Jakòb, moun mwen te chwazi a! Nou se moun ras Abraram, zanmi mwen an!
9 Mwen pran nou nan dènye bout latè, mwen rele nou soti byen lwen. Mwen di nou: Se sèvitè m’ nou ye! Se chwazi mwen te chwazi nou, mwen pa voye nou jete.
10 Nou pa bezwen pè. Mwen la avèk nou! Nou pa bezwen kite anyen ban nou kè sote. Se mwen menm ki Bondye nou. M’ap ban nou fòs, m’ap ede nou. M’ap soutni nou ak fòs ponyèt mwen ki pa janm pèdi batay.
11 Tout moun ki te fache sou nou yo pral wont, yo pral bese tèt yo. Moun ki t’ap chache nou kont yo pral disparèt, yo pral mouri.
12 Moun ki t’ap fè nou lagè yo, n’a chache yo, nou p’ap wè yo. Moun ki t’ap goumen ak nou yo pral disparèt, yo p’ap la ankò!
13 Se mwen menm, Seyè a, ki Bondye nou! M’ap pran men nou, m’ap di nou: Nou pa bezwen pè. M’ap ede nou!
14 Nou menm fanmi Jakòb yo, moun Izrayèl yo, nou te mèt piti tankou yon vètè, fèb tankou yon cheni, nou pa bezwen pè. Se mwen menm k’ap ede nou, mwen menm, Bondye pèp Izrayèl la, ki yon Bondye apa. Se mwen menm k’ap delivre nou. Se Seyè a menm ki di sa!
15 M’ap fè nou tounen yon machin pou raboure tè, yon machin tou nèf avèk dan byen file. Nou pral raboure mòn yo, nou pral kraze yo. Nou pral fè ti bit mòn yo tounen pousyè.
16 Nou pral vannen yo, van ap bwote yo ale. Van tanpèt ap gaye yo toupatou. Men, nou pral fè fèt pou Seyè a. Nou pral kontan Bondye pèp Izrayèl la ki yon Bondye apa.
17 Lè malere yo ak pòv yo ap chache dlo pou yo bwè epi yo pa ka jwenn, lè gòj yo va chèch nèt sitèlman y’a swaf dlo, mwen menm, Seyè a, m’a ba yo sa yo lapriyè mande m’ lan. Mwen menm, Bondye pèp Izrayèl la, mwen p’ap lage yo.
18 M’a fè gwo dlo larivyè koule sou tout tè sèk kote ki pa t’ gen menm yon ti pyebwa. M’a fè sous dlo pete nan fon yo. M’ap fè dezè a tounen lagon dlo. Sous dlo pral pete nan tout tè sèk yo.
19 M’ap fè pye zakasya ak pye sèd pouse nan tout dezè a, ansanm ak pye jasmen ak pye oliv mawon. Nan tè savann lan, m’ap mete pye pichpen, pye bwadòm ak pye sèd.
20 Lè moun va wè sa, y’a konnen pou yo pran tèt yo, pou yo manyè konprann se Seyè a ki fè bagay sa yo ak men l’, se travay Bondye pèp Izrayèl la, Bondye ki apa a.
21 Seyè a, wa pèp Izrayèl la, di: -Nou menm, bondye lòt nasyon yo, vin plede kòz nou! Vin di sa nou gen pou n’ di pou defans nou!
22 Pwoche non! Vin di sa ki gen pou rive! Kisa nou te di k’ap rive ki rive vre? Di nou ki jan sa pral pase pou n’ ka pran prekosyon nou! Fè nou konnen sa ki gen pou rive pou n’ ka rekonèt sa lè l’a rive vre!
23 Di nou kisa ki gen pou rive pita. Lè sa a, n’a konnen se bondye nou ye vre! Fè kichòy non, li te mèt bon, li te mèt pa bon, pou n’ ka wè l’, pou nou ka egzaminen l’ ansanm!
24 Men, gade! Se pa anyen nou ye! Tou sa n’ap fè yo pa vo anyen menm! Se yon avilisman pou moun ki pran nou pou bondye yo!
25 Se mwen menm ki chwazi yon nonm soti bò solèy leve. Se mwen menm ki fè l’ desann soti nan nò vin atake. Li kraze tout chèf yo tankou labou anba pye l’, menm jan moun k’ap fè krich kraze tè pou l’ travay.
26 Anvan sa te rive, kilès nan nou ki te di sa pou n’ te ka konnen? Ki moun ki te di davans sa tapral rive konsa, pou n’ te ka di se vre? Non. Pesonn pa t’ di anyen sou sa. Pyès moun pa janm tande nou di yon mo sou sa.
27 Se mwen menm premye moun ki bay moun Siyon yo nouvèl men l’ap vini! Se mwen menm ki voye yon moun al pote bon nouvèl la bay lavil Jerizalèm.
28 Lè mwen gade nan tout bondye nou yo, mwen pa wè yonn ki te gen anyen pou l’ te di. Pa t’ gen yonn ki ta kapab reponn mwen si m’ ta mande l’ anyen.
29 Tout bondye sa yo pa vo anyen. Yo pa kapab fè anyen menm. Estati zidòl yo, se van. Yo pa vo anyen.

Ésaïe 41
1 Iles, faites silence pour m’écouter! Que les peuples raniment leur force, Qu’ils avancent, et qu’ils parlent! Approchons pour plaider ensemble.
2 Qui a suscité de l’orient Celui que le salut appelle à sa suite? Qui lui a livré les nations et assujetti des rois? Qui a réduit leur glaive en poussière, Et leur arc en un chaume qui s’envole?
3 Il s’est mis à leur poursuite, il a parcouru avec bonheur Un chemin que son pied n’avait jamais foulé.
4 Qui a fait et exécuté ces choses? C’est celui qui a appelé les générations dès le commencement, Moi, l’Éternel, le premier Et le même jusqu’aux derniers âges.
5 Les îles le voient, et sont dans la crainte, Les extrémités de la terre tremblent: Ils s’approchent, ils viennent.
6 Ils s’aident l’un l’autre, Et chacun dit à son frère: Courage!
7 Le sculpteur encourage le fondeur; Celui qui polit au marteau encourage celui qui frappe sur l’enclume; Il dit de la soudure: Elle est bonne! Et il fixe l’idole avec des clous, pour qu’elle ne branle pas.
8 Mais toi, Israël, mon serviteur, Jacob, que j’ai choisi, Race d’Abraham que j’ai aimé!
9 Toi, que j’ai pris aux extrémités de la terre, Et que j’ai appelé d’une contrée lointaine, A qui j’ai dit: Tu es mon serviteur, Je te choisis, et ne te rejette point!
10 Ne crains rien, car je suis avec toi; Ne promène pas des regards inquiets, car je suis ton Dieu; Je te fortifie, je viens à ton secours, Je te soutiens de ma droite triomphante.
11 Voici, ils seront confondus, ils seront couverts de honte, Tous ceux qui sont irrités contre toi; Ils seront réduits à rien, ils périront, Ceux qui disputent contre toi.
12 Tu les chercheras, et ne les trouveras plus, Ceux qui te suscitaient querelle; Ils seront réduits à rien, réduits au néant, Ceux qui te faisaient la guerre.
13 Car je suis l’Éternel, ton Dieu, Qui fortifie ta droite, Qui te dis: Ne crains rien, Je viens à ton secours.
14 Ne crains rien, vermisseau de Jacob, Faible reste d’Israël; Je viens à ton secours, dit l’Éternel, Et le Saint d’Israël est ton sauveur.
15 Voici, je fais de toi un traîneau aigu, tout neuf, Garni de pointes; Tu écraseras, tu broieras les montagnes, Et tu rendras les collines semblables à de la balle.
16 Tu les vanneras, et le vent les emportera, Et un tourbillon les dispersera. Mais toi, tu te réjouiras en l’Éternel, Tu mettras ta gloire dans le Saint d’Israël.
17 Les malheureux et les indigents cherchent de l’eau, et il n’y en a point; Leur langue est desséchée par la soif. Moi, l’Éternel, je les exaucerai; Moi, le Dieu d’Israël, je ne les abandonnerai pas.
18 Je ferai jaillir des fleuves sur les collines, Et des sources au milieu des vallées; Je changerai le désert en étang, Et la terre aride en courants d’eau;
19 Je mettrai dans le désert le cèdre, l’acacia, Le myrte et l’olivier; Je mettrai dans les lieux stériles Le cyprès, l’orme et le buis, tous ensemble;
20 Afin qu’ils voient, qu’ils sachent, Qu’ils observent et considèrent Que la main de l’Éternel a fait ces choses, Que le Saint d’Israël en est l’auteur.
21 Plaidez votre cause, Dit l’Éternel; Produisez vos moyens de défense, Dit le roi de Jacob.
22 Qu’ils les produisent, et qu’ils nous déclarent Ce qui doit arriver. Quelles sont les prédictions que jadis vous avez faites? Dites-le, pour que nous y prenions garde, Et que nous en reconnaissions l’accomplissement; Ou bien, annoncez-nous l’avenir.
23 Dites ce qui arrivera plus tard, Pour que nous sachions si vous êtes des dieux; Faites seulement quelque chose de bien ou de mal, Pour que nous le voyions et le regardions ensemble.
24 Voici, vous n’êtes rien, Et votre oeuvre est le néant; C’est une abomination que de se complaire en vous.
25 Je l’ai suscité du septentrion, et il est venu; De l’orient, il invoque mon nom; Il foule les puissants comme de la boue, Comme de l’argile que foule un potier.
26 Qui l’a annoncé dès le commencement, pour que nous le sachions, Et longtemps d’avance, pour que nous disions: C’est vrai? Nul ne l’a annoncé, nul ne l’a prédit, Et personne n’a entendu vos paroles.
27 C’est moi le premier qui ai dit à Sion: Les voici, les voici! Et à Jérusalem: J’envoie un messager de bonnes nouvelles!
28 Je regarde, et il n’y a personne, Personne parmi eux qui prophétise, Et qui puisse répondre, si je l’interroge.
29 Voici, ils ne sont tous que vanité, Leurs oeuvres ne sont que néant, Leurs idoles ne sont qu’un vain souffle.

Isaiah 41
1 Keep silence before me, O islands; and let the people renew their strength: let them come near; then let them speak: let us come near together to judgment.
2 Who raised up the righteous man from the east, called him to his foot, gave the nations before him, and made him rule over kings? he gave them as the dust to his sword, and as driven stubble to his bow.
3 He pursued them, and passed safely; even by the way that he had not gone with his feet.
4 Who hath wrought and done it, calling the generations from the beginning? I the Lord, the first, and with the last; I am he.
5 The isles saw it, and feared; the ends of the earth were afraid, drew near, and came.
6 They helped every one his neighbour; and every one said to his brother, Be of good courage.
7 So the carpenter encouraged the goldsmith, and he that smootheth with the hammer him that smote the anvil, saying, It is ready for the sodering: and he fastened it with nails, that it should not be moved.
8 But thou, Israel, art my servant, Jacob whom I have chosen, the seed of Abraham my friend.
9 Thou whom I have taken from the ends of the earth, and called thee from the chief men thereof, and said unto thee, Thou art my servant; I have chosen thee, and not cast thee away.
10 Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.
11 Behold, all they that were incensed against thee shall be ashamed and confounded: they shall be as nothing; and they that strive with thee shall perish.
12 Thou shalt seek them, and shalt not find them, even them that contended with thee: they that war against thee shall be as nothing, and as a thing of nought.
13 For I the Lord thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee.
14 Fear not, thou worm Jacob, and ye men of Israel; I will help thee, saith the Lord, and thy redeemer, the Holy One of Israel.
15 Behold, I will make thee a new sharp threshing instrument having teeth: thou shalt thresh the mountains, and beat them small, and shalt make the hills as chaff.
16 Thou shalt fan them, and the wind shall carry them away, and the whirlwind shall scatter them: and thou shalt rejoice in the Lord, and shalt glory in the Holy One of Israel.
17 When the poor and needy seek water, and there is none, and their tongue faileth for thirst, I the Lord will hear them, I the God of Israel will not forsake them.
18 I will open rivers in high places, and fountains in the midst of the valleys: I will make the wilderness a pool of water, and the dry land springs of water.
19 I will plant in the wilderness the cedar, the shittah tree, and the myrtle, and the oil tree; I will set in the desert the fir tree, and the pine, and the box tree together:
20 That they may see, and know, and consider, and understand together, that the hand of the Lord hath done this, and the Holy One of Israel hath created it.
21 Produce your cause, saith the Lord; bring forth your strong reasons, saith the King of Jacob.
22 Let them bring them forth, and shew us what shall happen: let them shew the former things, what they be, that we may consider them, and know the latter end of them; or declare us things for to come.
23 Shew the things that are to come hereafter, that we may know that ye are gods: yea, do good, or do evil, that we may be dismayed, and behold it together.
24 Behold, ye are of nothing, and your work of nought: an abomination is he that chooseth you.
25 I have raised up one from the north, and he shall come: from the rising of the sun shall he call upon my name: and he shall come upon princes as upon morter, and as the potter treadeth clay.
26 Who hath declared from the beginning, that we may know? and beforetime, that we may say, He is righteous? yea, there is none that sheweth, yea, there is none that declareth, yea, there is none that heareth your words.
27 The first shall say to Zion, Behold, behold them: and I will give to Jerusalem one that bringeth good tidings.
28 For I beheld, and there was no man; even among them, and there was no counsellor, that, when I asked of them, could answer a word.
29 Behold, they are all vanity; their works are nothing: their molten images are wind and confusion.
