1 Apre sa, Bondye di Moyiz: -Moute sou mòn lan bò kote m’ ansanm ak Arawon, Nadab, Abiyou ak swasanndis nan chèf fanmi pèp Izrayèl la. N’a rete yon distans, n’a bese tèt nou jouk atè pou adore m’.
2 Apre sa, Moyiz va pwoche pou kont li, l’a vin bò kote m’. Piga lòt yo pwoche. Pèp la menm pa pou moute avè yo.
3 Moyiz ale, li rapòte bay pèp la tou sa Seyè a te di l’ yo ansanm ak tout lòd li te bay yo. Tout pèp la reponn ansanm: -N’a fè tou sa Seyè a di nou fè.
4 Moyiz ekri tou sa Seyè a te di l’ yo. Nan denmen maten, byen bonè, lè Moyiz leve, li bati yon lòtèl nan pye mòn lan. Li pran douz gwo ròch, yonn pou chak branch fanmi pèp Izrayèl la, li mete yo kanpe.
5 Apre sa, li pran kèk jenn gason nan moun Izrayèl yo, li voye yo al ofri bèt pou touye bay Seyè a: yo ofri bèt yo te boule nèt pou Seyè a. Yo touye kèk towo bèf pou di Seyè a mèsi.
6 Moyiz pran mwatye nan san an, li mete l’ nan ganmèl. Lòt mwatye a, li vide l’ sou lòtèl la.
7 Lèfini, li pran liv kontra a, li li l’ pou tout pèp la ka tande. Apre sa, pèp la di: -N’a fè tou sa Seyè a mande nou fè, n’a obeyi l’.
8 Lè sa a, Moyiz pran san ki te nan ganmèl yo, li voye l’ sou pèp la, li di: -San sa a sèvi pou siyen kontra Seyè a pase ak nou an, dapre pawòl li di yo.
9 Moyiz moute sou mòn lan ansanm ak Arawon, Nadab, Abiyou ak swasanndis nan chèf fanmi pèp Izrayèl la.
10 Yo te wè Bondye pèp Izrayèl la. Anba pye l’, te gen yon bagay plat fèt ak bèl pyè kristal ble yo rele safi. Li te klè tankou syèl la lè pa gen yon ti nwaj menm ladan li.
11 Seyè a pa t’ fè chèf pèp Izrayèl yo anyen. Se konsa yo te wè Bondye. Aprè sa, yo manje epi yo bwè.
12 Seyè a di Moyiz konsa: -Moute sou mòn lan bò kote m’. Rete la. m’a ba ou de ròch plat avèk lalwa ak regleman mwen te ekri sou yo pou fè levasyon pèp la.
13 Moyiz leve ansanm ak Jozye, adjwen li a, yo moute sou mòn Bondye a.
14 Anvan Moyiz te ale, li di chèf fanmi yo: -Rete tann nou isit la jouk nou tounen. Men Arawon ak Our ap rete ak nou. Si yon moun bezwen regle yon pwoblèm, li mèt al jwenn yo.
15 Moyiz moute sou mòn lan, epi nwaj kouvri mòn lan nèt.
16 Pouvwa Seyè a desann sou mòn Sinayi a. Nwaj kouvri mòn lan pandan sis jou. Sou setyèm jou a, Seyè a rete nan nwaj la, li rele Moyiz.
17 Pou moun pèp Izrayèl yo menm, pouvwa Seyè a te parèt tankou yon gwo dife ki t’ap boule sou tèt mòn lan.
18 Moyiz antre nan mitan nwaj la, li moute sou mòn lan. Moyiz pase karant jou ak karant nwit sou mòn lan.

Exode 24
1 Dieu dit à Moïse: Monte vers l’Éternel, toi et Aaron, Nadab et Abihu, et soixante-dix des anciens d’Israël, et vous vous prosternerez de loin.
2 Moïse s’approchera seul de l’Éternel; les autres ne s’approcheront pas, et le peuple ne montera point avec lui.
3 Moïse vint rapporter au peuple toutes les paroles de l’Éternel et toutes les lois. Le peuple entier répondit d’une même voix: Nous ferons tout ce que l’Éternel a dit.
4 Moïse écrivit toutes les paroles de l’Éternel. Puis il se leva de bon matin; il bâtit un autel au pied de la montagne, et dressa douze pierres pour les douze tribus d’Israël.
5 Il envoya des jeunes hommes, enfants d’Israël, pour offrir à l’Éternel des holocaustes, et immoler des taureaux en sacrifices d’actions de grâces.
6 Moïse prit la moitié du sang, qu’il mit dans des bassins, et il répandit l’autre moitié sur l’autel.
7 Il prit le livre de l’alliance, et le lut en présence du peuple; ils dirent: Nous ferons tout ce que l’Éternel a dit, et nous obéirons.
8 Moïse prit le sang, et il le répandit sur le peuple, en disant: Voici le sang de l’alliance que l’Éternel a faite avec vous selon toutes ces paroles.
9 Moïse monta avec Aaron, Nadab et Abihu, et soixante-dix anciens d’Israël.
10 Ils virent le Dieu d’Israël; sous ses pieds, c’était comme un ouvrage de saphir transparent, comme le ciel lui-même dans sa pureté.
11 Il n’étendit point sa main sur l’élite des enfants d’Israël. Ils virent Dieu, et ils mangèrent et burent.
12 L’Éternel dit à Moïse: Monte vers moi sur la montagne, et reste là; je te donnerai des tables de pierre, la loi et les ordonnances que j’ai écrites pour leur instruction.
13 Moïse se leva, avec Josué qui le servait, et Moïse monta sur la montagne de Dieu.
14 Il dit aux anciens: Attendez-nous ici, jusqu’à ce que nous revenions auprès de vous. Voici, Aaron et Hur resteront avec vous; si quelqu’un a un différend, c’est à eux qu’il s’adressera.
15 Moïse monta sur la montagne, et la nuée couvrit la montagne.
16 La gloire de l’Éternel reposa sur la montagne de Sinaï, et la nuée le couvrit pendant six jours. Le septième jour, l’Éternel appela Moïse du milieu de la nuée.
17 L’aspect de la gloire de l’Éternel était comme un feu dévorant sur le sommet de la montagne, aux yeux des enfants d’Israël.
18 Moïse entra au milieu de la nuée, et il monta sur la montagne. Moïse demeura sur la montagne quarante jours et quarante nuits.

1 And he said unto Moses, Come up unto the Lord, thou, and Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel; and worship ye afar off.
2 And Moses alone shall come near the Lord: but they shall not come nigh; neither shall the people go up with him.
3 And Moses came and told the people all the words of the Lord, and all the judgments: and all the people answered with one voice, and said, All the words which the Lord hath said will we do.
4 And Moses wrote all the words of the Lord, and rose up early in the morning, and builded an altar under the hill, and twelve pillars, according to the twelve tribes of Israel.
5 And he sent young men of the children of Israel, which offered burnt offerings, and sacrificed peace offerings of oxen unto the Lord.
6 And Moses took half of the blood, and put it in basons; and half of the blood he sprinkled on the altar.
7 And he took the book of the covenant, and read in the audience of the people: and they said, All that the Lord hath said will we do, and be obedient.
8 And Moses took the blood, and sprinkled it on the people, and said, Behold the blood of the covenant, which the Lord hath made with you concerning all these words.
9 Then went up Moses, and Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel:
10 And they saw the God of Israel: and there was under his feet as it were a paved work of a sapphire stone, and as it were the body of heaven in his clearness.
11 And upon the nobles of the children of Israel he laid not his hand: also they saw God, and did eat and drink.
12 And the Lord said unto Moses, Come up to me into the mount, and be there: and I will give thee tables of stone, and a law, and commandments which I have written; that thou mayest teach them.
13 And Moses rose up, and his minister Joshua: and Moses went up into the mount of God.
14 And he said unto the elders, Tarry ye here for us, until we come again unto you: and, behold, Aaron and Hur are with you: if any man have any matters to do, let him come unto them.
15 And Moses went up into the mount, and a cloud covered the mount.
16 And the glory of the Lord abode upon mount Sinai, and the cloud covered it six days: and the seventh day he called unto Moses out of the midst of the cloud.
17 And the sight of the glory of the Lord was like devouring fire on the top of the mount in the eyes of the children of Israel.
18 And Moses went into the midst of the cloud, and gat him up into the mount: and Moses was in the mount forty days and forty nights.
