Jòb 40
1 Seyè a pale ak Jòb. Li di l’ konsa:
2 -Jòb monchè, ou menm ki t’ap kenbe tèt ak Bondye ki gen tout pouvwa a, ou p’ap kite pou li? Ou menm ki t’ap kritike Bondye a, ou vle reponn li koulye a?
3 Jòb reponn Seyè a, li di l’ konsa:
4 -Mwen pa t’ konn sa m’ t’ap di. Kisa pou m’ reponn ou? Se fèmen pou m’ fèmen bouch mwen.
5 Mwen pale twòp deja. Mwen pa gen anyen pou m’ di ankò.
6 Seyè a rete nan van tanpèt la, li pale ak Jòb ankò. Li di l’:
7 -Koulye a, kanpe! Mete gason sou ou! Mwen pral poze ou keksyon, se pou ou reponn mwen.
8 Eske ou soti vre pou moutre se lenjistis m’ap fè ou? Se mwen menm ki antò, ou menm ou gen rezon?
9 Eske ou gen menm fòs avè m’? Eske vwa ou ka gwonde tankou vwa pa m’?
10 Si se konsa, kanpe non! Kenbe tèt ou byen dwat! Gade tout moun nan je! Mete chèf sou ou! Fè wè pouvwa ou!
11 Gade moun k’ap gonfle lestonmak yo nan je. Move sou yo! Kraze kouraj yo!
12 Wi. Gade yo nan je. Fè yo bese tèt yo! Kraze mechan yo la kote yo ye a!
13 Mete yo tout anba tè. Mare bouch yo tout nan twou kote mò yo ye a.
14 Lè sa a, mwen menm, m’a fè lwanj ou, dèske avèk pwòp fòs ou ou te rive kraze yo.
15 Gade gwo bèt lèd yo rele Beyemòt la. Se mwen ki fè l’, menm jan se mwen ki fè ou. Se zèb li manje tankou bèf.
16 Tout fòs li, se nan ren l’. Tout kouraj li, se nan venn vant li.
17 Ke l’ kanpe tankou yon pye sèd. Venn janm li yo fè boul.
18 Zo l’ yo di tankou fè tiyo. Janm li yo tankou de bout fè.
19 Nan tout bèt mwen fè, se li ki pote premye pri. Se mwen ki kreye l’ la sèlman ki ka fè l’ bat ba.
20 Li manje zèb ki pouse sou mòn kote lòt bèt nan bwa ap pran plezi yo.
21 Li kouche anba raje. Li kache nan mitan wozo marekay yo.
22 Raje yo fè lonbray pou li. Pye sikren bò larivyè yo ap pwoteje l’.
23 Larivyè ap desann, sa pa di l’ anyen. Larivyè Jouden gonfle rive wotè bouch li, li kè pòpòz.
24 Ki moun ki ka pete je l’ pou mete men sou li? Ki moun ki ka pèse bwa nen l’ ak yon fwenn bwa.

Job 40
(39:34) L’Éternel, s’adressant à Job, dit:
2 (39:35) Celui qui dispute contre le Tout Puissant est-il convaincu? Celui qui conteste avec Dieu a-t-il une réplique à faire?
3 (39:36) Job répondit à l’Éternel et dit:
4 (39:37) Voici, je suis trop peu de chose; que te répliquerais-je? Je mets la main sur ma bouche.
5 (39:38) J’ai parlé une fois, je ne répondrai plus; Deux fois, je n’ajouterai rien.
6 (40:1) L’Éternel répondit à Job du milieu de la tempête et dit:
7 (40:2) Ceins tes reins comme un vaillant homme; Je t’interrogerai, et tu m’instruiras.
8 (40:3) Anéantiras-tu jusqu’à ma justice? Me condamneras-tu pour te donner droit?
9 (40:4) As-tu un bras comme celui de Dieu, Une voix tonnante comme la sienne?
10 (40:5) Orne-toi de magnificence et de grandeur, Revêts-toi de splendeur et de gloire!
11 (40:6) Répands les flots de ta colère, Et d’un regard abaisse les hautains!
12 (40:7) D’un regard humilie les hautains, Écrase sur place les méchants,
13 (40:8) Cache-les tous ensemble dans la poussière, Enferme leur front dans les ténèbres!
14 (40:9) Alors je rends hommage A la puissance de ta droite.
15 (40:10) Voici l’hippopotame, à qui j’ai donné la vie comme à toi! Il mange de l’herbe comme le boeuf.
16 (40:11) Le voici! Sa force est dans ses reins, Et sa vigueur dans les muscles de son ventre;
17 (40:12) Il plie sa queue aussi ferme qu’un cèdre; Les nerfs de ses cuisses sont entrelacés;
18 (40:13) Ses os sont des tubes d’airain, Ses membres sont comme des barres de fer.
19 (40:14) Il est la première des oeuvres de Dieu; Celui qui l’a fait l’a pourvu d’un glaive.
20 (40:15) Il trouve sa pâture dans les montagnes, Où se jouent toutes les bêtes des champs.
21 (40:16) Il se couche sous les lotus, Au milieu des roseaux et des marécages;
22 (40:17) Les lotus le couvrent de leur ombre, Les saules du torrent l’environnent.
23 (40:18) Que le fleuve vienne à déborder, il ne s’enfuit pas: Que le Jourdain se précipite dans sa gueule, il reste calme.
24 (40:19) Est-ce à force ouverte qu’on pourra le saisir? Est-ce au moyen de filets qu’on lui percera le nez?

Job 40
1 Moreover the Lord answered Job, and said,
2 Shall he that contendeth with the Almighty instruct him? he that reproveth God, let him answer it.
3 Then Job answered the Lord, and said,
4 Behold, I am vile; what shall I answer thee? I will lay mine hand upon my mouth.
5 Once have I spoken; but I will not answer: yea, twice; but I will proceed no further.
6 Then answered the Lord unto Job out of the whirlwind, and said,
7 Gird up thy loins now like a man: I will demand of thee, and declare thou unto me.
8 Wilt thou also disannul my judgment? wilt thou condemn me, that thou mayest be righteous?
9 Hast thou an arm like God? or canst thou thunder with a voice like him?
10 Deck thyself now with majesty and excellency; and array thyself with glory and beauty.
11 Cast abroad the rage of thy wrath: and behold every one that is proud, and abase him.
12 Look on every one that is proud, and bring him low; and tread down the wicked in their place.
13 Hide them in the dust together; and bind their faces in secret.
14 Then will I also confess unto thee that thine own right hand can save thee.
15 Behold now behemoth, which I made with thee; he eateth grass as an ox.
16 Lo now, his strength is in his loins, and his force is in the navel of his belly.
17 He moveth his tail like a cedar: the sinews of his stones are wrapped together.
18 His bones are as strong pieces of brass; his bones are like bars of iron.
19 He is the chief of the ways of God: he that made him can make his sword to approach unto him.
20 Surely the mountains bring him forth food, where all the beasts of the field play.
21 He lieth under the shady trees, in the covert of the reed, and fens.
22 The shady trees cover him with their shadow; the willows of the brook compass him about.
23 Behold, he drinketh up a river, and hasteth not: he trusteth that he can draw up Jordan into his mouth.
24 He taketh it with his eyes: his nose pierceth through snares.
