Jòb 34
1 Eliyou pran lapawòl ankò. Li di konsa:
2 -Nou menm moun lespri yo, koute sa m’ap di nou! Nèg save yo, louvri zòrèy nou!
3 Zòrèy konnen lè pawòl bèl menm jan bouch konnen lè manje gou.
4 Annou wè kote jistis la ye. Ann mete rezon an kote pou l’ ye a.
5 Jòb pretann li nan dwa li, se Bondye ki derefize rann li jistis.
6 Li di: Si m’ di m’ antò, se manti m’ap bay. Mwen malad pou m’ mouri. Men, m’ pa fè anyen ki mal.
7 Ou janm jwenn yon moun tankou Jòb? L’ap pase verite Bondye a nan betiz alèz tankou si se dlo l’ap bwè.
8 Li fè bann ak moun k’ap fè mechanste yo. L’ap pwonmennen ansanm ak malveyan yo.
9 Se li menm menm ki di ak bouch li: Sa pa rapòte anyen, lè yon moun ap chache fè volonte Bondye.
10 Nou menm ki gen lespri, koute sa m’ap di. Bondye pa ka fè mechanste. Bondye ki gen tout pouvwa a pa ka nan patipri.
11 Li bay chak moun sa yo merite dapre sa yo fè. Li aji ak yo dapre jan yo mennen bak yo.
12 Non! Bondye pa janm fè sa ki mal. Bondye ki gen tout pouvwa a pa nan paspouki.
13 Se pa yon lòt moun ki te bay Bondye pouvwa pou l’ gouvènen latè, ni se pa yon lòt moun ki te mete tou sa ki egziste sou kont li.

15 Si Bondye te kenbe souf ki bay lavi a pou tèt li, yon sèl kou a, bèt kou moun ta mouri. Yo ta tounen pousyè tè ankò.
16 Si nou gen bon konprann, koute sa byen. Louvri zòrèy nou pou nou tande sa m’ap di.
17 Eske n’ap kondannen Bondye ki gen tout pouvwa a, epi k’ap rann jistis la? Eske yon moun ki pa vle wè jistis ka gouvènen?
18 Bondye pini wa yo lè yo fè sa ki mal. Li pini gwo chèf yo lè yo fè mechanste.
19 Li pa nan achte figi chèf yo. Ou te mèt pòv, ou te mèt rich, pa gen diferans pou li, paske se li menm ki fè yo tout.
20 Yo rete konsa yo mouri, yo ale nan mitan lannwit. Pèp la annik souke kò l’, yo disparèt. Bondye touye gwo chèf yo san li pa leve ti dwèt li.
21 L’ap veye tout vire tounen lèzòm. L’ap gade tout kote y’ap mete pye yo.
22 Pa gen ankenn fènwa, ni ankenn lonbray ki ka anpeche l’ wè sa mechan yo ap fè.
23 Li pa bezwen voye manda bay moun pou yo prezante devan l’ pou l’ jije yo.
24 Li pa bezwen nan chache konnen pou l’ kraze chèf yo, lèfini pou l’ mete lòt moun nan plas yo.
25 Paske li konnen dènye sa yo fè. Yon jou lannwit konsa, li desann yo li pilonnen yo anba pye l’.
26 Li souflete yo tankou malfektè nan mitan lari pou tout moun ka wè.
27 Paske yo te vire do ba li, yo te fè tankou yo pa konnen lòd li bay yo.
28 Yo fè, yo fè jouk pòv yo rele mande Bondye sekou, jouk Bondye tande jan piti yo ap rele anba men yo.
29 Men, si Bondye rete san l’ pa fè anyen, ki moun ki ka di l’ kichòy? Si li kache kò li, ki moun ki ka wè l’! Men, pa pè! L’ap veye sou tout moun nan tout peyi.
30 Li p’ap kite move chèf gouvènen yo, li p’ap kite yo tann pèlen pou pèp la.
31 Men, si yon mechan pale ak Bondye, si li di l’: -Wi, mwen te fè sa ki mal. Mwen p’ap fè sa ankò.
32 Tanpri. Louvri je m’. Fe m’ wè sa m’ fè a. Si mwen te aji ak mechanste, mwen p’ap rekonmanse ankò.
33 Dapre ou, Jòb, èske se pou Bondye pini l’? Mwen mande ou sa paske m’ konnen ou pa dakò ak sa Bondye fè a. Men, se ou menm ki pou deside. Pa mwen menm. Manyè di m’ sa ki nan kè ou.
34 Moun lespri ansanm ak moun bon konprann k’ap koute m’ yo va di m’ konsa:
35 Jòb ap pale anpil, men li pa konn sa l’ap di. Tou sa l’ap di yo pa gen ni pye ni tèt.
36 Egzaminen byen tou sa Jòb di la a. N’a wè li pale tankou yon moun ki mechan nan kè l’.
37 Li fin fè kont peche l’, koulye a l’ap kenbe tèt ak Bondye. L’ap seye fè nou konprann li pa antò. L’ap plede fè Bondye remontrans.

Job 34
1 Élihu reprit et dit:
2 Sages, écoutez mes discours! Vous qui êtes intelligents, prêtez-moi l’oreille!
3 Car l’oreille discerne les paroles, Comme le palais savoure les aliments.
4 Choisissons ce qui est juste, Voyons entre nous ce qui est bon.
5 Job dit: Je suis innocent, Et Dieu me refuse justice;
6 J’ai raison, et je passe pour menteur; Ma plaie est douloureuse, et je suis sans péché.
7 Y a-t-il un homme semblable à Job, Buvant la raillerie comme l’eau,
8 Marchant en société de ceux qui font le mal, Cheminant de pair avec les impies?
9 Car il a dit: Il est inutile à l’homme De mettre son plaisir en Dieu.
10 Écoutez-moi donc, hommes de sens! Loin de Dieu l’injustice, Loin du Tout Puissant l’iniquité!
11 Il rend à l’homme selon ses oeuvres, Il rétribue chacun selon ses voies.
12 Non certes, Dieu ne commet pas l’iniquité; Le Tout Puissant ne viole pas la justice.
13 Qui l’a chargé de gouverner la terre? Qui a confié l’univers à ses soins?
14 S’il ne pensait qu’à lui-même, S’il retirait à lui son esprit et son souffle,
15 Toute chair périrait soudain, Et l’homme rentrerait dans la poussière.
16 Si tu as de l’intelligence, écoute ceci, Prête l’oreille au son de mes paroles!
17 Un ennemi de la justice régnerait-il? Et condamneras-tu le juste, le puissant,
18 Qui proclame la méchanceté des rois Et l’iniquité des princes,
19 Qui n’a point égard à l’apparence des grands Et ne distingue pas le riche du pauvre, Parce que tous sont l’ouvrage de ses mains?
20 En un instant, ils perdent la vie; Au milieu de la nuit, un peuple chancelle et périt; Le puissant disparaît, sans la main d’aucun homme.
21 Car Dieu voit la conduite de tous, Il a les regards sur les pas de chacun.
22 Il n’y a ni ténèbres ni ombre de la mort, Où puissent se cacher ceux qui commettent l’iniquité.
23 Dieu n’a pas besoin d’observer longtemps, Pour qu’un homme entre en jugement avec lui;
24 Il brise les grands sans information, Et il met d’autres à leur place;
25 Car il connaît leurs oeuvres. Ils les renverse de nuit, et ils sont écrasés;
26 Il les frappe comme des impies, A la face de tous les regards.
27 En se détournant de lui, En abandonnant toutes ses voies,
28 Ils ont fait monter à Dieu le cri du pauvre, Ils l’ont rendu attentif aux cris des malheureux.
29 S’il donne le repos, qui répandra le trouble? S’il cache sa face, qui pourra le voir? Il traite à l’égal soit une nation, soit un homme,
30 Afin que l’impie ne domine plus, Et qu’il ne soit plus un piège pour le peuple.
31 Car a-t-il jamais dit à Dieu: J’ai été châtié, je ne pécherai plus;
32 Montre-moi ce que je ne vois pas; Si j’ai commis des injustices, je n’en commettrai plus?
33 Est-ce d’après toi que Dieu rendra la justice? C’est toi qui rejettes, qui choisis, mais non pas moi; Ce que tu sais, dis-le donc!
34 Les hommes de sens seront de mon avis, Le sage qui m’écoute pensera comme moi.
35 Job parle sans intelligence, Et ses discours manquent de raison.
36 Qu’il continue donc à être éprouvé, Puisqu’il répond comme font les méchants!
37 Car il ajoute à ses fautes de nouveaux péchés; Il bat des mains au milieu de nous, Il multiplie ses paroles contre Dieu.

Job 34
1 Furthermore Elihu answered and said,
2 Hear my words, O ye wise men; and give ear unto me, ye that have knowledge.
3 For the ear trieth words, as the mouth tasteth meat.
4 Let us choose to us judgment: let us know among ourselves what is good.
5 For Job hath said, I am righteous: and God hath taken away my judgment.
6 Should I lie against my right? my wound is incurable without transgression.
7 What man is like Job, who drinketh up scorning like water?
8 Which goeth in company with the workers of iniquity, and walketh with wicked men.
9 For he hath said, It profiteth a man nothing that he should delight himself with God.
10 Therefore hearken unto me ye men of understanding: far be it from God, that he should do wickedness; and from the Almighty, that he should commit iniquity.
11 For the work of a man shall he render unto him, and cause every man to find according to his ways.
12 Yea, surely God will not do wickedly, neither will the Almighty pervert judgment.
13 Who hath given him a charge over the earth? or who hath disposed the whole world?
14 If he set his heart upon man, if he gather unto himself his spirit and his breath;
15 All flesh shall perish together, and man shall turn again unto dust.
16 If now thou hast understanding, hear this: hearken to the voice of my words.
17 Shall even he that hateth right govern? and wilt thou condemn him that is most just?
18 Is it fit to say to a king, Thou art wicked? and to princes, Ye are ungodly?
19 How much less to him that accepteth not the persons of princes, nor regardeth the rich more than the poor? for they all are the work of his hands.
20 In a moment shall they die, and the people shall be troubled at midnight, and pass away: and the mighty shall be taken away without hand.
21 For his eyes are upon the ways of man, and he seeth all his goings.
22 There is no darkness, nor shadow of death, where the workers of iniquity may hide themselves.
23 For he will not lay upon man more than right; that he should enter into judgment with God.
24 He shall break in pieces mighty men without number, and set others in their stead.
25 Therefore he knoweth their works, and he overturneth them in the night, so that they are destroyed.
26 He striketh them as wicked men in the open sight of others;
27 Because they turned back from him, and would not consider any of his ways:
28 So that they cause the cry of the poor to come unto him, and he heareth the cry of the afflicted.
29 When he giveth quietness, who then can make trouble? and when he hideth his face, who then can behold him? whether it be done against a nation, or against a man only:
30 That the hypocrite reign not, lest the people be ensnared.
31 Surely it is meet to be said unto God, I have borne chastisement, I will not offend any more:
32 That which I see not teach thou me: if I have done iniquity, I will do no more.
33 Should it be according to thy mind? he will recompense it, whether thou refuse, or whether thou choose; and not I: therefore speak what thou knowest.
34 Let men of understanding tell me, and let a wise man hearken unto me.
35 Job hath spoken without knowledge, and his words were without wisdom.
36 My desire is that Job may be tried unto the end because of his answers for wicked men.
37 For he addeth rebellion unto his sin, he clappeth his hands among us, and multiplieth his words against God.
