Pwovèb 12
1 Moun ki renmen yo korije yo, se moun ki toujou vle konnen. Men, moun ki pa renmen yo rale zòrèy yo, se moun san konprann.
2 Seyè a kontan ak moun k’ap fè sa ki byen. Men, l’ap kondannen moun ki toujou sou plan.
3 Fè mechanste pa bay moun fòs pou yo rete kanpe. Men, moun ki mache dwat p’ap janm brannen.
4 Yon bon madanm se yon lwanj li ye pou mari li. Men, yon madanm ki fè mari l’ wont, se tankou yon maladi k’ap manje ou nan zo.
5 Yon nonm serye p’ap janm mete nan tèt li pou l’ fè ou lenjistis. Men, mechan yo ap toujou chache twonpe ou.
6 Pawòl ki soti nan bouch mechan se pèlen pou touye moun. Men, pawòl ki soti nan bouch moun k’ap mache dwat yo, se delivrans pou moun ki an danje.
7 Rive yon lè, pye mechan yo chape. Ou chache yo, ou pa wè yo. Men, fanmi moun k’ap mache dwat yo ap toujou la.
8 Y’ap fè lwanj moun ki gen konprann. Men, y’ap meprize moun ki malveyan.
9 Pito ou pase pou malere men ou gen manje pou ou manje, pase pou ou pran pòz grannèg ou epi w’ap mouri grangou.
10 Moun ki mache dwat okipe ata zannimo nan lakou yo. Men, mechan yo san zantray.
11 Moun ki travay jaden ap jwenn manje pou yo manje plen vant yo. Men, moun k’ap pèdi tan yo nan fè bagay san valè, se san konprann yo ye.
12 Mechan toujou ap fè gwo lide dèyè bagay mechan parèy yo pran. Men, moun k’ap mache dwat ap fè bagay k’ap rapòte yo.
13 Pawòl ki soti nan bouch moun mechan tounen yon pèlen pou yo. Men, moun k’ap mache dwat ap soti nan tout move pa.
14 Rekonpans yon moun chita sou sa li di ak bouch li. Sa ou fè se sa ou wè.
15 Moun sòt toujou konprann sa y’ap fè a byen. Men, moun ki gen bon konprann koute konsèy yo ba yo.
16 Lè yon moun san konprann ankòlè, tout moun wè sa lamenm. Men, yon moun veyatif, lè ou fè l’ malonèt, li fè tankou li pa konprann.
17 Lè ou di verite nan tribinal, ou rann lajistis sèvis. Men, temwen k’ap bay manti, se lenjistis l’ap ankouraje.
18 Pawòl moun ki di tou sa ki vin nan bouch yo se kout ponya. Men, pawòl moun ki gen bon konprann se renmèd.
19 Manti la pou yon ti tan. Men, verite la pou tout tan tout tan.
20 Moun k’ap kalkile jan pou yo fè moun mal, se move kou y’ap chache pote. Men, moun k’ap bay bon konsèy ap gen kè kontan.
21 Malè pa janm rive moun k’ap mache dwat. Men, pou mechan yo se apse sou klou.
22 Seyè a pa vle wè moun k’ap manti. Men, li kontan nèt ak moun ki toujou kenbe pawòl yo.
23 Moun lespri pa janm nan fè moun wè tou sa yo konnen. Men, moun san konprann ap mache fè moun wè jan yo sòt.
24 Travay di fè ou grannèg. Men, parese fè ou rete ak moun.
25 Tèt chaje kraze kouraj yon moun. Men, yon bon pawòl fè kè l’ kontan.
26 Moun ki mache dwat ap toujou moutre zanmi l’ bon chemen. Men, mechan an ap fè yo pèdi chemen yo.
27 Parese ap toujou rete grangou. Tout richès yon moun se travay li.
28 Fè sa ki dwat, w’a jwenn ak lavi. Fè sa ki mal, w’a jwenn ak lanmò.

Proverbes 12
1 Celui qui aime la correction aime la science; Celui qui hait la réprimande est stupide.
2 L’homme de bien obtient la faveur de l’Éternel, Mais l’Éternel condamne celui qui est plein de malice.
3 L’homme ne s’affermit pas par la méchanceté, Mais la racine des justes ne sera point ébranlée.
4 Une femme vertueuse est la couronne de son mari, Mais celle qui fait honte est comme la carie dans ses os.
5 Les pensées des justes ne sont qu’équité; Les desseins des méchants ne sont que fraude.
6 Les paroles des méchants sont des embûches pour verser le sang, Mais la bouche des hommes droits est une délivrance.
7 Renversés, les méchants ne sont plus; Et la maison des justes reste debout.
8 Un homme est estimé en raison de son intelligence, Et celui qui a le coeur pervers est l’objet du mépris.
9 Mieux vaut être d’une condition humble et avoir un serviteur Que de faire le glorieux et de manquer de pain.
10 Le juste prend soin de son bétail, Mais les entrailles des méchants sont cruelles.
11 Celui qui cultive son champ est rassasié de pain, Mais celui qui poursuit des choses vaines est dépourvu de sens.
12 Le méchant convoite ce que prennent les méchants, Mais la racine des justes donne du fruit.
13 Il y a dans le péché des lèvres un piège pernicieux, Mais le juste se tire de la détresse.
14 Par le fruit de la bouche on est rassasié de biens, Et chacun reçoit selon l’oeuvre de ses mains.
15 La voie de l’insensé est droite à ses yeux, Mais celui qui écoute les conseils est sage.
16 L’insensé laisse voir à l’instant sa colère, Mais celui qui cache un outrage est un homme prudent.
17 Celui qui dit la vérité proclame la justice, Et le faux témoin la tromperie.
18 Tel, qui parle légèrement, blesse comme un glaive; Mais la langue des sages apporte la guérison.
19 La lèvre véridique est affermie pour toujours, Mais la langue fausse ne subsiste qu’un instant.
20 La tromperie est dans le coeur de ceux qui méditent le mal, Mais la joie est pour ceux qui conseillent la paix.
21 Aucun malheur n’arrive au juste, Mais les méchants sont accablés de maux.
22 Les lèvres fausses sont en horreur à l’Éternel, Mais ceux qui agissent avec vérité lui sont agréables.
23 L’homme prudent cache sa science, Mais le coeur des insensés proclame la folie.
24 La main des diligents dominera, Mais la main lâche sera tributaire.
25 L’inquiétude dans le coeur de l’homme l’abat, Mais une bonne parole le réjouit.
26 Le juste montre à son ami la bonne voie, Mais la voie des méchants les égare.
27 Le paresseux ne rôtit pas son gibier; Mais le précieux trésor d’un homme, c’est l’activité.
28 La vie est dans le sentier de la justice, La mort n’est pas dans le chemin qu’elle trace.

Proverbs 12
1 Whoso loveth instruction loveth knowledge: but he that hateth reproof is brutish.
2 A good man obtaineth favour of the Lord: but a man of wicked devices will he condemn.
3 A man shall not be established by wickedness: but the root of the righteous shall not be moved.
4 A virtuous woman is a crown to her husband: but she that maketh ashamed is as rottenness in his bones.
5 The thoughts of the righteous are right: but the counsels of the wicked are deceit.
6 The words of the wicked are to lie in wait for blood: but the mouth of the upright shall deliver them.
7 The wicked are overthrown, and are not: but the house of the righteous shall stand.
8 A man shall be commended according to his wisdom: but he that is of a perverse heart shall be despised.
9 He that is despised, and hath a servant, is better than he that honoureth himself, and lacketh bread.
10 A righteous man regardeth the life of his beast: but the tender mercies of the wicked are cruel.
11 He that tilleth his land shall be satisfied with bread: but he that followeth vain persons is void of understanding.
12 The wicked desireth the net of evil men: but the root of the righteous yieldeth fruit.
13 The wicked is snared by the transgression of his lips: but the just shall come out of trouble.
14 A man shall be satisfied with good by the fruit of his mouth: and the recompence of a man’s hands shall be rendered unto him.
15 The way of a fool is right in his own eyes: but he that hearkeneth unto counsel is wise.
16 A fool’s wrath is presently known: but a prudent man covereth shame.
17 He that speaketh truth sheweth forth righteousness: but a false witness deceit.
18 There is that speaketh like the piercings of a sword: but the tongue of the wise is health.
19 The lip of truth shall be established for ever: but a lying tongue is but for a moment.
20 Deceit is in the heart of them that imagine evil: but to the counsellors of peace is joy.
21 There shall no evil happen to the just: but the wicked shall be filled with mischief.
22 Lying lips are abomination to the Lord: but they that deal truly are his delight.
23 A prudent man concealeth knowledge: but the heart of fools proclaimeth foolishness.
24 The hand of the diligent shall bear rule: but the slothful shall be under tribute.
25 Heaviness in the heart of man maketh it stoop: but a good word maketh it glad.
26 The righteous is more excellent than his neighbour: but the way of the wicked seduceth them.
27 The slothful man roasteth not that which he took in hunting: but the substance of a diligent man is precious.
28 In the way of righteousness is life: and in the pathway thereof there is no death.
