1 Li di yo ankò: -Sa m’ap di nou la a, se vre wi: Nan moun ki la koulye a gen ladan yo ki p’ap mouri san yo pa wè Bondye vin pran gouvènman an nan men l’ avèk pouvwa.
2 Sis jou apre sa, Jezi pran Pyè, Jak ak Jan; li mennen yo pou kont yo sou tèt yon mòn byen wo. Figi l’ chanje la devan yo;
3 rad li vin klere tou blan. Pa gen lesivyèz sou latè ki kapab blanchi konsa.
4 Twa disip yo wè Eli ak Moyiz parèt, yo t’ap koze avèk Jezi.
5 Pyè pran lapawòl, li di Jezi konsa: -Mèt, sa te bon nèt pou nou te la. N’ap moute twa ti kay, yonn pou ou, yonn pou Moyiz, yonn pou Eli.
6 Li pa t’ konnen sa pou l’ te di tèlman yo te pè.
7 Yon nwaj vin kouvri yo, epi yon vwa moun soti nan nwaj la, li di: -Sa se pitit mwen renmen anpil la. Koute li.
8 Menm lè a, disip yo vire tèt yo, yo gade adwat, yo gade agoch, men yo pa wè pesonn pase Jezi ki te pou kont li avèk yo.
9 Antan yo t’ap desann mòn lan, Jezi pale sevè avèk yo: -Pa di pesonn sa nou sot wè la a, jouk mwen menm, Moun Bondye voye nan lachè a, m’a leve soti vivan pami mò yo.
10 Yo te kenbe pawòl la sekrè, men yonn t’ap di lòt: -Sa sa vle di menm: leve soti vivan pami mò yo?
11 Twa disip yo poze l’ keksyon sa a: -Poukisa dirèktè lalwa yo di: Se pou Eli vin anvan.
12 Li reponn yo: -Se vre wi. Eli gen pou l’ vin anvan pou l’ mete tout bagay nan lòd. Men, ki jan yo te fè ekri tou: Moun Bondye voye nan lachè a gen pou l’ soufri anpil, yo p’ap manke pase l’ nan betiz?
13 Men mwen menm, mwen di nou: Eli vini deja, yo fè sa yo te vle ave l’, jan sa te ekri sou li a.
14 Lè yo rive bò kote lòt disip yo, yo wè yo nan mitan yon mas moun. Te gen kèk dirèktè lalwa la tou ki t’ap diskite avèk yo.
15 Lè foul moun yo wè Jezi, sezisman pran yo, yo tout kouri vin di l’ bonjou.
16 Li mande disip li yo: -Sa n’ap diskite konsa?
17 Yon nonm nan foul moun yo reponn li: -Mèt, mwen te mennen ti gason m’ lan ba ou; li anba yon move lespri ki rann li bèbè.
18 Nenpòt ki kote lespri a pran l’, li fese l’ atè. Lè konsa, tibway la kimen, li manje dan l’, epi li vin tou rèd. Mwen te mande disip ou yo pou yo chase lespri a sot sou li, men yo pa t’ kapab.
19 Jezi di yo: -Ala moun san konfyans nan Bondye! Jouk kilè pou m’ rete nan mitan nou? Jouk kilè pou m’ sipòte nou? Mennen tibway la ban mwen.
20 Yo mennen l’ ba li. Kou ti nonm lan wè Jezi, move lespri a souke l’ byen souke. Ti gason an tonbe atè, li woule, li kimen.
21 Jezi mande papa a: -Depi konbe tan li konsa? Papa a reponn li: -Depi li tou piti wi.
22 Anpil fwa menm, move lespri a jete l’ nan dife, osinon nan dlo pou touye li. Men, si ou kapab fè kichòy, tanpri, ede nou. Gen pitye pou nou!
23 Jezi di li: -Si m’ kapab menm! …Tout bagay posib wi pou moun ki met konfyans yo nan Bondye.
24 Menm lè a, papa tibway la di byen fò: -Mwen gen konfyans nan Bondye! Men, vin ede m’ pou m’ sa gen plis konfyans toujou.
25 Lè Jezi wè foul moun yo ap kouri vini, li pale sevè avèk move lespri a, li di li: -Espri bèbè, espri soudè, se mwen k’ap kòmande ou: soti sou tibway la, pa janm antre sou li ankò.
26 Move lespri a souke tibway la byen souke; li bay yon gwo rèl, epi li soti, li ale. Ti gason an te rete tankou si l’ te mouri atè a, kifè anpil moun te gen tan ap di: -Li mouri wi.
27 Men Jezi pran men l’, li fè l’ leve. Lamenm, ti gason an kanpe.
28 Antre Jezi antre nan kay la, disip yo pran l’ apa, epi yo di li: -Poukisa nou pa t’ kapab chase lespri sa a?
29 Li di yo: -Se lapriyè sèlman ki pou fè kalite lespri sa a soti.
30 Yo soti kote yo te ye a, yo travèse peyi Galile. Jezi pa t’ vle moun konnen kote li te ye,
31 paske li t’ap moutre disip li yo anpil bagay. Li di yo: -Mwen menm, Moun Bondye voye nan lachè a, mwen pral tonbe anba men lèzòm, yo pral touye mwen. Men, sou twa jou mwen gen pou m’ leve soti vivan nan lanmò.
32 Men, disip yo pa t’ konprann sans pawòl sa a: epi yo te pè poze l’ keksyon.
33 Yo rive Kapènawòm. Rive li rive nan kay la, Jezi mande yo: -Kisa nou t’ap pale konsa nan chemen an?
34 Pesonn pa louvri bouch yo reponn, paske nan chemen an, yo t’ap diskite pou konnen kilès nan yo ki te pi grannèg.
35 Lè sa a Jezi chita, li rele douz disip yo, li di yo konsa: -Si yon moun vle pou l’ nan premye plas la, fòk li mete l’ dèyè nèt, fòk li sèvi tout moun.
36 Epi li pran yon timoun piti, li mete l’ nan mitan yo. Li pran timoun lan nan bra l’, li di yo konsa:
37 -Nenpòt moun ki resevwa yon timoun konsa poutèt mwen, se mwen menm menm li resevwa. Nenpòt moun ki resevwa m’, se pa mwen li resevwa, men se moun ki voye m’ lan li resevwa.
38 Jan di l’ konsa: -Mèt, nou te wè yon nonm ki pran non ou pou chase move lespri. Nou te vle anpeche l’ fè sa, paske li pa t’ap mache avèk nou.
39 Jezi reponn li: -Kite l’ non. Paske yon moun ki pran non m’ pou fè mirak pa kapab pale m’ mal apre sa.
40 Moun ki pa kont nou, se moun pa nou li ye.
41 Sa m’ap di la a, se vre wi: nenpòt moun ki va ban nou yon gode dlo paske se moun Kris la nou ye, li pa gen dwa pèdi rekonpans li.
42 Kanta moun ki fè yonn nan timoun sa yo ki kwè nan mwen tonbe nan peche, li ta pi bon pou li si yo te mare yon gwo wòl moulen nan kou l’, voye li jete nan lanmè.
43 Si se men ou ki pou ta fè ou tonbe nan peche, koupe l’, voye l’ jete. Pito ou antre nan lavi a ak yon sèl men, pase pou ou rete ak tou de men ou, apre sa pou ou al nan lanfè, kote dife a pa janm mouri.
44 Nan lanfè, dife sa a ansanm ak vè k’ap manje kadav yo pa janm mouri.
45 Si se pye ou ki pou ta fè ou tonbe nan peche, koupe l’, voye li jete. Pito ou antre nan lavi a ak yon sèl pye, pase pou ou rete ak de pye ou, apre sa pou yo jete ou nan lanfè.
46 Nan lanfè, dife sa a ansanm ak vè k’ap manje kadav yo pa janm mouri.
47 Si se je ou ki pou ta fè ou tonbe nan peche, rache l’ voye l’ jete. Pito ou antre nan Peyi kote Bondye Wa a ak yon sèl je, pase pou ou rete ak tou de je ou, apre sa pou yo jete ou nan lanfè.
48 La, dife a ansanm ak vè k’ap manje kadav yo pa janm mouri.
49 Paske, tout moun ap sale ak dife.
50 Sèl, se yon bon bagay. Men, si sèl la pèdi gou l’, ak kisa poun sale l’ ankò? Mete sèl nan kè nou, epi viv byen yonn ak lòt.

1 Il leur dit encore: Je vous le dis en vérité, quelques-uns de ceux qui sont ici ne mourront point, qu’ils n’aient vu le royaume de Dieu venir avec puissance.
2 Six jours après, Jésus prit avec lui Pierre, Jacques et Jean, et il les conduisit seuls à l’écart sur une haute montagne. Il fut transfiguré devant eux;
3 ses vêtements devinrent resplendissants, et d’une telle blancheur qu’il n’est pas de foulon sur la terre qui puisse blanchir ainsi.
4 Élie et Moïse leur apparurent, s’entretenant avec Jésus.
5 Pierre, prenant la parole, dit à Jésus: Rabbi, il est bon que nous soyons ici; dressons trois tentes, une pour toi, une pour Moïse, et une pour Élie.
6 Car il ne savait que dire, l’effroi les ayant saisis.
7 Une nuée vint les couvrir, et de la nuée sortit une voix: Celui-ci est mon Fils bien-aimé: écoutez-le!
8 Aussitôt les disciples regardèrent tout autour, et ils ne virent que Jésus seul avec eux.
9 Comme ils descendaient de la montagne, Jésus leur recommanda de ne dire à personne ce qu’ils avaient vu, jusqu’à ce que le Fils de l’homme fût ressuscité des morts.
10 Ils retinrent cette parole, se demandant entre eux ce que c’est que ressusciter des morts.
11 Les disciples lui firent cette question: Pourquoi les scribes disent-ils qu’il faut qu’Élie vienne premièrement?
12 Il leur répondit: Élie viendra premièrement, et rétablira toutes choses. Et pourquoi est-il écrit du Fils de l’homme qu’il doit souffrir beaucoup et être méprisé?
13 Mais je vous dis qu’Élie est venu, et qu’ils l’ont traité comme ils ont voulu, selon qu’il est écrit de lui.
14 Lorsqu’ils furent arrivés près des disciples, ils virent autour d’eux une grande foule, et des scribes qui discutaient avec eux.
15 Dès que la foule vit Jésus, elle fut surprise, et accourut pour le saluer.
16 Il leur demanda: Sur quoi discutez-vous avec eux?
17 Et un homme de la foule lui répondit: Maître, j’ai amené auprès de toi mon fils, qui est possédé d’un esprit muet.
18 En quelque lieu qu’il le saisisse, il le jette par terre; l’enfant écume, grince des dents, et devient tout raide. J’ai prié tes disciples de chasser l’esprit, et ils n’ont pas pu.
19 Race incrédule, leur dit Jésus, jusques à quand serai-je avec vous? jusques à quand vous supporterai-je? Amenez-le-moi. On le lui amena.
20 Et aussitôt que l’enfant vit Jésus, l’esprit l’agita avec violence; il tomba par terre, et se roulait en écumant.
21 Jésus demanda au père: Combien y a-t-il de temps que cela lui arrive? Depuis son enfance, répondit-il.
22 Et souvent l’esprit l’a jeté dans le feu et dans l’eau pour le faire périr. Mais, si tu peux quelque chose, viens à notre secours, aie compassion de nous.
23 Jésus lui dit: Si tu peux!… Tout est possible à celui qui croit.
24 Aussitôt le père de l’enfant s’écria: Je crois! viens au secours de mon incrédulité!
25 Jésus, voyant accourir la foule, menaça l’esprit impur, et lui dit: Esprit muet et sourd, je te l’ordonne, sors de cet enfant, et n’y rentre plus.
26 Et il sortit, en poussant des cris, et en l’agitant avec une grande violence. L’enfant devint comme mort, de sorte que plusieurs disaient qu’il était mort.
27 Mais Jésus, l’ayant pris par la main, le fit lever. Et il se tint debout.
28 Quand Jésus fut entré dans la maison, ses disciples lui demandèrent en particulier: Pourquoi n’avons-nous pu chasser cet esprit?
29 Il leur dit: Cette espèce-là ne peut sortir que par la prière.
30 Ils partirent de là, et traversèrent la Galilée. Jésus ne voulait pas qu’on le sût.
31 Car il enseignait ses disciples, et il leur dit: Le Fils de l’homme sera livré entre les mains des hommes; ils le feront mourir, et, trois jours après qu’il aura été mis à mort, il ressuscitera.
32 Mais les disciples ne comprenaient pas cette parole, et ils craignaient de l’interroger.
33 Ils arrivèrent à Capernaüm. Lorsqu’il fut dans la maison, Jésus leur demanda: De quoi discutiez-vous en chemin?
34 Mais ils gardèrent le silence, car en chemin ils avaient discuté entre eux pour savoir qui était le plus grand.
35 Alors il s’assit, appela les douze, et leur dit: Si quelqu’un veut être le premier, il sera le dernier de tous et le serviteur de tous.
36 Et il prit un petit enfant, le plaça au milieu d’eux, et l’ayant pris dans ses bras, il leur dit:
37 Quiconque reçoit en mon nom un de ces petits enfants me reçoit moi-même; et quiconque me reçoit, reçoit non pas moi, mais celui qui m’a envoyé.
38 Jean lui dit: Maître, nous avons vu un homme qui chasse des démons en ton nom; et nous l’en avons empêché, parce qu’il ne nous suit pas.
39 Ne l’en empêchez pas, répondit Jésus, car il n’est personne qui, faisant un miracle en mon nom, puisse aussitôt après parler mal de moi.
40 Qui n’est pas contre nous est pour nous.
41 Et quiconque vous donnera à boire un verre d’eau en mon nom, parce que vous appartenez à Christ, je vous le dis en vérité, il ne perdra point sa récompense.
42 Mais, si quelqu’un scandalisait un de ces petits qui croient, il vaudrait mieux pour lui qu’on lui mît au cou une grosse meule de moulin, et qu’on le jetât dans la mer.
43 Si ta main est pour toi une occasion de chute, coupe-la; mieux vaut pour toi entrer manchot dans la vie,
44 que d’avoir les deux mains et d’aller dans la géhenne, dans le feu qui ne s’éteint point.
45 Si ton pied est pour toi une occasion de chute, coupe-le; mieux vaut pour toi entrer boiteux dans la vie,
46 que d’avoir les deux pieds et d’être jeté dans la géhenne, dans le feu qui ne s’éteint point.
47 Et si ton oeil est pour toi une occasion de chute, arrache-le; mieux vaut pour toi entrer dans le royaume de Dieu n’ayant qu’un oeil, que d’avoir deux yeux et d’être jeté dans la géhenne,
48 où leur ver ne meurt point, et où le feu ne s’éteint point.
49 Car tout homme sera salé de feu.
50 Le sel est une bonne chose; mais si le sel devient sans saveur, avec quoi l’assaisonnerez-vous? (9:51) Ayez du sel en vous-mêmes, et soyez en paix les uns avec les autres.

1 And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That there be some of them that stand here, which shall not taste of death, till they have seen the kingdom of God come with power.
2 And after six days Jesus taketh with him Peter, and James, and John, and leadeth them up into an high mountain apart by themselves: and he was transfigured before them.
3 And his raiment became shining, exceeding white as snow; so as no fuller on earth can white them.
4 And there appeared unto them Elias with Moses: and they were talking with Jesus.
5 And Peter answered and said to Jesus, Master, it is good for us to be here: and let us make three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias.
6 For he wist not what to say; for they were sore afraid.
7 And there was a cloud that overshadowed them: and a voice came out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son: hear him.
8 And suddenly, when they had looked round about, they saw no man any more, save Jesus only with themselves.
9 And as they came down from the mountain, he charged them that they should tell no man what things they had seen, till the Son of man were risen from the dead.
10 And they kept that saying with themselves, questioning one with another what the rising from the dead should mean.
11 And they asked him, saying, Why say the scribes that Elias must first come?
12 And he answered and told them, Elias verily cometh first, and restoreth all things; and how it is written of the Son of man, that he must suffer many things, and be set at nought.
13 But I say unto you, That Elias is indeed come, and they have done unto him whatsoever they listed, as it is written of him.
14 And when he came to his disciples, he saw a great multitude about them, and the scribes questioning with them.
15 And straightway all the people, when they beheld him, were greatly amazed, and running to him saluted him.
16 And he asked the scribes, What question ye with them?
17 And one of the multitude answered and said, Master, I have brought unto thee my son, which hath a dumb spirit;
18 And wheresoever he taketh him, he teareth him: and he foameth, and gnasheth with his teeth, and pineth away: and I spake to thy disciples that they should cast him out; and they could not.
19 He answereth him, and saith, O faithless generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? bring him unto me.
20 And they brought him unto him: and when he saw him, straightway the spirit tare him; and he fell on the ground, and wallowed foaming.
21 And he asked his father, How long is it ago since this came unto him? And he said, Of a child.
22 And ofttimes it hath cast him into the fire, and into the waters, to destroy him: but if thou canst do any thing, have compassion on us, and help us.
23 Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.
24 And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief.
25 When Jesus saw that the people came running together, he rebuked the foul spirit, saying unto him, Thou dumb and deaf spirit, I charge thee, come out of him, and enter no more into him.
26 And the spirit cried, and rent him sore, and came out of him: and he was as one dead; insomuch that many said, He is dead.
27 But Jesus took him by the hand, and lifted him up; and he arose.
28 And when he was come into the house, his disciples asked him privately, Why could not we cast him out?
29 And he said unto them, This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting.
30 And they departed thence, and passed through Galilee; and he would not that any man should know it.
31 For he taught his disciples, and said unto them, The Son of man is delivered into the hands of men, and they shall kill him; and after that he is killed, he shall rise the third day.
32 But they understood not that saying, and were afraid to ask him.
33 And he came to Capernaum: and being in the house he asked them, What was it that ye disputed among yourselves by the way?
34 But they held their peace: for by the way they had disputed among themselves, who should be the greatest.
35 And he sat down, and called the twelve, and saith unto them, If any man desire to be first, the same shall be last of all, and servant of all.
36 And he took a child, and set him in the midst of them: and when he had taken him in his arms, he said unto them,
37 Whosoever shall receive one of such children in my name, receiveth me: and whosoever shall receive me, receiveth not me, but him that sent me.
38 And John answered him, saying, Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name, and he followeth not us: and we forbad him, because he followeth not us.
39 But Jesus said, Forbid him not: for there is no man which shall do a miracle in my name, that can lightly speak evil of me.
40 For he that is not against us is on our part.
41 For whosoever shall give you a cup of water to drink in my name, because ye belong to Christ, verily I say unto you, he shall not lose his reward.
42 And whosoever shall offend one of these little ones that believe in me, it is better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he were cast into the sea.
43 And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched:
44 Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.
45 And if thy foot offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter halt into life, than having two feet to be cast into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched:
46 Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.
47 And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out: it is better for thee to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye, than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire:
48 Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.
49 For every one shall be salted with fire, and every sacrifice shall be salted with salt.
50 Salt is good: but if the salt have lost his saltness, wherewith will ye season it? Have salt in yourselves, and have peace one with another.
