Deteronòm 31
1 Moyiz pale ankò ak tout pèp Izrayèl la, li di yo:
2 -Koulye a, mwen gen sanventan sou tèt mwen. Mwen pa gen fòs pou m’ fè anyen ankò. Lèfini, Seyè a te tou di m’ mwen p’ap janbe lòt bò larivyè Jouden an.
3 Seyè a, Bondye nou an, se li menm ki pral pran devan nou. L’ap detwi tout nasyon sa yo devan je nou pou nou ka pran peyi yo pou nou: Se Jozye ki va mache devan nou, jan Seyè a te di l’ la.
4 Seyè a va detwi nasyon sa yo nèt, menm jan li te detwi Siyon ak Og, wa peyi Amori yo, ansanm ak tout moun nan peyi yo a nèt ale.
5 Seyè a pral lage yo nan men nou. Lè sa a, se pou nou aji avèk yo jan Seyè a te ban nou lòd aji ak yo a.
6 Se pou nou vanyan. Se pou nou mete gason sou nou! Nou pa bezwen pè. Pa tranble lè yo parèt devan nou. Seyè a, Bondye nou an, kanpe la avèk nou. Li p’ap janm lage nou, li p’ap janm kite nou pou kont nou.
7 Apre sa, Moyiz rele Jozye, li pale avè l’ devan tout pèp Izrayèl la, li di l’ konsa: -Mete gason sou ou! Se pou ou vanyan! Paske se ou menm ki pral alatèt pèp la pou l’ antre pran peyi Seyè a te fè sèman l’ap bay zansèt yo a.
8 Seyè a va pran devan ou, l’a kanpe la avè ou. Li p’ap janm lage ou, li p’ap kite ou pou kont ou: Ou pa bezwen pè. Ou pa bezwen tranble.
9 Apre sa, Moyiz ekri tout lalwa a, epi li renmèt li bay prèt yo, moun fanmi Levi yo ki te reskonsab Bwat Kontra Seyè a, ansanm ak tout chèf fanmi pèp Izrayèl la.
10 Moyiz ba yo lòd sa a: -Chak sètan, lè lanne pou yo renmèt dèt yo va rive, pandan y’ap fete fèt Joupa yo.
11 lè tout pèp Izrayèl la va vin adore Seyè a, Bondye nou an, nan kote li te chwazi pou sa a, n’a li tout liv lalwa a byen fò devan yo tout, pou yo ka tande l’ nan zòrèy yo.
12 N’a sanble tout moun, fanm kou gason, timoun kou granmoun, ansanm ak moun lòt nasyon k’ap viv nan lavil nou yo, pou yo ka tande l’, pou yo ka aprann gen krentif pou Seyè a, Bondye nou an, pou yo kenbe lalwa a, epi pou yo fè tou sa ki ladan l’.
13 Se konsa, pitit yo ki pa t’ janm konn lalwa a va tande l’. Y’a aprann gen krentif pou Seyè a, Bondye nou an, chak jou pandan tout tan n’ap viv nan peyi nou pral pran pou nou an, lè n’a janbe lòt bò larivyè Jouden an.
14 Lè sa a, Seyè a di Moyiz konsa: -Ou pa lwen mouri. Rele Jozye. Vini ansanm avè l’ nan Tant Randevou a pou m’ ka ba li lòd sa pou l’ fè. Se konsa, Moyiz ak Jozye al kanpe nan Tant Randevou a.
15 Seyè a parèt devan yo anndan Tant Randevou a, nan yon nwaj ki te gen fòm yon gwo poto devan pòt tant lan.
16 Seyè a di Moyiz: -Ou pral mouri. Ou pa lwen al jwenn zansèt ou yo ki mouri deja. Men, apre ou fin mouri, pèp la pral leve, yo pral vire do ban mwen pou y’ al kouri dèyè lòt bondye y’ap sèvi nan peyi lòt nasyon kote nou pral antre a. Wi, yo pral lage m’, yo pral kase kontra m’ te pase avèk yo a.
17 Lè sa va rive, m’a fè yon sèl kòlè anwo yo, m’a lage yo tout, mwen p’ap okipe yo ankò. Se peri y’a peri. Tout kalite malè ak lafliksyon pral tonbe sou yo. Se lè sa a y’a blije rekonèt se paske Bondye yo a pa la nan mitan yo ankò kifè tout malè sa yo rive yo.
18 Men malgre sa, mwen menm m’a refize ede yo paske yo te fè twòp bagay mal lè yo te al kouri dèyè lòt bondye.
19 Koulye a, ekri chante sa a. W’a moutre tout moun pèp Izrayèl yo li, pou l’ ka nan bouch yo tout, epi pou l’ sa sèvi m’ temwen kont yo.
20 Lè m’ap fè yo antre nan peyi mwen te pwomèt bay zansèt yo a, peyi kote lèt ak siwo myèl ap koule tankou dlo a, m’a fè yo manje plen vant yo, y’a viv alèz. Men, y’a kouri dèyè lòt bondye, y’a sèvi yo. Men mwen menm, y’a voye m’ jete, y’a kraze kontra mwen te pase ak yo a.
21 Konsa, lè tout kalite malè ak lafliksyon va tonbe sou yo, chante sa a va sèvi m’ temwen, l’ap toujou nan bouch yo, paske pitit yo p’ap janm bliye l’. Wi, depi koulye a, anvan menm mwen fè yo antre nan peyi mwen te pwomèt yo a, mwen konnen sa yo gen nan tèt yo.
22 Menm jou sa a, Moyiz ekri chante a epi li moutre tout moun pèp Izrayèl yo li.
23 Apre sa, Seyè a bay Jozye, pitit gason Noun lan, lòd li yo. Li di l’ konsa: -Mete gason sou ou. Se pou ou vanyan. Paske se ou menm ki pou fè moun pèp Izrayèl yo antre nan peyi mwen te pwomèt m’ap ba yo a. M’ap kanpe la avè ou.
24 Lè Moyiz fin ekri tout pawòl lalwa Bondye a nan yon liv san li pa sote anyen,
25 li rele moun Levi ki te reskonsab pou pote Bwat Kontra Seyè a, li di yo konsa:
26 -Pran liv lalwa a, mete l’ sou kote Bwat Kontra Seyè a, Bondye nou an. L’a rete la, l’a sèvi temwen kont nou.
27 Mwen konnen jan nou gen tèt di, jan nou pa vle koute. Si koulye a, pandan mwen vivan ankò nan mitan nou an, nou te kenbe tèt ak Seyè a konsa, lè m’a mouri menm se va pi rèd.
28 Sanble bò kote m’ tout chèf fanmi nou yo ak tout chèf branch fanmi nou yo pou m’ fè yo tande pawòl sa yo. Mwen pral pran syèl la ak latè a sèvi m’ temwen sa mwen pral di nou la a.
29 Paske mwen konnen, lè m’a mouri, nou pral lage kò nou nan fè move bagay, nou pral kite chemen mwen te louvri devan nou an. Lè sa a, malè pral tonbe sou nou, paske nou te fè sa ki mal nan je Seyè a, nou te eksite kòlè li avèk tout move bagay nou t’ap fè yo.
30 Lè sa a, Moyiz pran resite byen fò tout chante sa a, depi nan konmansman jouk li bout, devan tout moun pèp Izrayèl yo ki te reyini pou yo te ka tande sa l’ap di a.

Deuteronome 31
1 Moïse adressa encore ces paroles à tout Israël:
2 Aujourd’hui, leur dit-il, je suis âgé de cent vingt ans, je ne pourrai plus sortir et entrer, et l’Éternel m’a dit: Tu ne passeras pas ce Jourdain.
3 L’Éternel, ton Dieu, marchera lui-même devant toi, il détruira ces nations devant toi, et tu t’en rendras maître. Josué marchera aussi devant toi, comme l’Éternel l’a dit.
4 L’Éternel traitera ces nations comme il a traité Sihon et Og, rois des Amoréens, qu’il a détruits avec leur pays.
5 L’Éternel vous les livrera, et vous agirez à leur égard selon tous les ordres que je vous ai donnés.
6 Fortifiez-vous et ayez du courage! Ne craignez point et ne soyez point effrayés devant eux; car l’Éternel, ton Dieu, marchera lui-même avec toi, il ne te délaissera point, il ne t’abandonnera point.
7 Moïse appela Josué, et lui dit en présence de tout Israël: Fortifie-toi et prends courage, car tu entreras avec ce peuple dans le pays que l’Éternel a juré à leurs pères de leur donner, et c’est toi qui les en mettras en possession.
8 L’Éternel marchera lui-même devant toi, il sera lui-même avec toi, il ne te délaissera point, il ne t’abandonnera point; ne crains point, et ne t’effraie point.
9 Moïse écrivit cette loi, et il la remit aux sacrificateurs, fils de Lévi, qui portaient l’arche de l’alliance de l’Éternel, et à tous les anciens d’Israël.
10 Moïse leur donna cet ordre: Tous les sept ans, à l’époque de l’année du relâche, à la fête des tabernacles,
11 quand tout Israël viendra se présenter devant l’Éternel, ton Dieu, dans le lieu qu’il choisira, tu liras cette loi devant tout Israël, en leur présence.
12 Tu rassembleras le peuple, les hommes, les femmes, les enfants, et l’étranger qui sera dans tes portes, afin qu’ils t’entendent, et afin qu’ils apprennent à craindre l’Éternel, votre Dieu, à observer et à mettre en pratique toutes les paroles de cette loi.
13 Et leurs enfants qui ne la connaîtront pas l’entendront, et ils apprendront à craindre l’Éternel, votre Dieu, tout le temps que vous vivrez dans le pays dont vous prendrez possession, après avoir passé le Jourdain.
14 L’Éternel dit à Moïse: Voici, le moment approche où tu vas mourir. Appelle Josué, et présentez-vous dans la tente d’assignation. Je lui donnerai mes ordres. Moïse et Josué allèrent se présenter dans la tente d’assignation.
15 Et l’Éternel apparut dans la tente dans une colonne de nuée; et la colonne de nuée s’arrêta à l’entrée de la tente.
16 L’Éternel dit à Moïse: Voici, tu vas être couché avec tes pères. Et ce peuple se lèvera, et se prostituera après les dieux étrangers du pays au milieu duquel il entre. Il m’abandonnera, et il violera mon alliance, que j’ai traitée avec lui.
17 En ce jour-là, ma colère s’enflammera contre lui. Je les abandonnerai, et je leur cacherai ma face. Il sera dévoré, il sera la proie d’une multitude de maux et d’afflictions, et alors il dira: N’est-ce point parce que mon Dieu n’est pas au milieu de moi que ces maux m’ont atteint?
18 Et moi, je cacherai ma face en ce jour-là, à cause de tout le mal qu’il aura fait, en se tournant vers d’autres dieux.
19 Maintenant, écrivez ce cantique. Enseigne-le aux enfants d’Israël, mets-le dans leur bouche, et que ce cantique me serve de témoin contre les enfants d’Israël.
20 Car je mènerai ce peuple dans le pays que j’ai juré à ses pères de lui donner, pays où coulent le lait et le miel; il mangera, se rassasiera, s’engraissera; puis il se tournera vers d’autres dieux et les servira, il me méprisera et violera mon alliance;
21 quand alors il sera atteint par une multitude de maux et d’afflictions, ce cantique, qui ne sera point oublié et que la postérité aura dans la bouche, déposera comme témoin contre ce peuple. Je connais, en effet, ses dispositions, qui déjà se manifestent aujourd’hui, avant même que je l’aie fait entrer dans le pays que j’ai juré de lui donner.
22 En ce jour-là, Moïse écrivit ce cantique, et il l’enseigna aux enfants d’Israël.
23 L’Éternel donna ses ordres à Josué, fils de Nun. Il dit: Fortifie-toi et prends courage, car c’est toi qui feras entrer les enfants d’Israël dans le pays que j’ai juré de leur donner; et je serai moi-même avec toi.
24 Lorsque Moïse eut complètement achevé d’écrire dans un livre les paroles de cette loi,
25 il donna cet ordre aux Lévites qui portaient l’arche de l’alliance de l’Éternel:
26 Prenez ce livre de la loi, et mettez-le à côté de l’arche de l’alliance de l’Éternel, votre Dieu, et il sera là comme témoin contre toi.
27 Car je connais ton esprit de rébellion et la roideur de ton cou. Si vous êtes rebelles contre l’Éternel pendant que je suis encore vivant au milieu de vous, combien plus le serez-vous après ma mort!
28 Assemblez devant moi tous les anciens de vos tribus et vos officiers; je dirai ces paroles en leur présence, et je prendrai à témoin contre eux le ciel et la terre.
29 Car je sais qu’après ma mort vous vous corromprez, et que vous vous détournerez de la voie que je vous ai prescrite; et le malheur finira par vous atteindre, quand vous ferez ce qui est mal aux yeux de l’Éternel, au point de l’irriter par l’oeuvre de vos mains.
30 Moïse prononça dans leur entier les paroles de ce cantique, en présence de toute l’assemblée d’Israël:

1 And Moses went and spake these words unto all Israel.
2 And he said unto them, I am an hundred and twenty years old this day; I can no more go out and come in: also the Lord hath said unto me, Thou shalt not go over this Jordan.
3 The Lord thy God, he will go over before thee, and he will destroy these nations from before thee, and thou shalt possess them: and Joshua, he shall go over before thee, as the Lord hath said.
4 And the Lord shall do unto them as he did to Sihon and to Og, kings of the Amorites, and unto the land of them, whom he destroyed.
5 And the Lord shall give them up before your face, that ye may do unto them according unto all the commandments which I have commanded you.
6 Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.
7 And Moses called unto Joshua, and said unto him in the sight of all Israel, Be strong and of a good courage: for thou must go with this people unto the land which the Lord hath sworn unto their fathers to give them; and thou shalt cause them to inherit it.
8 And the Lord, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed.
9 And Moses wrote this law, and delivered it unto the priests the sons of Levi, which bare the ark of the covenant of the Lord, and unto all the elders of Israel.
10 And Moses commanded them, saying, At the end of every seven years, in the solemnity of the year of release, in the feast of tabernacles,
11 When all Israel is come to appear before the Lord thy God in the place which he shall choose, thou shalt read this law before all Israel in their hearing.
12 Gather the people together, men and women, and children, and thy stranger that is within thy gates, that they may hear, and that they may learn, and fear the Lord your God, and observe to do all the words of this law:
13 And that their children, which have not known any thing, may hear, and learn to fear the Lord your God, as long as ye live in the land whither ye go over Jordan to possess it.
14 And the Lord said unto Moses, Behold, thy days approach that thou must die: call Joshua, and present yourselves in the tabernacle of the congregation, that I may give him a charge. And Moses and Joshua went, and presented themselves in the tabernacle of the congregation.
15 And the Lord appeared in the tabernacle in a pillar of a cloud: and the pillar of the cloud stood over the door of the tabernacle.
16 And the Lord said unto Moses, Behold, thou shalt sleep with thy fathers; and this people will rise up, and go a whoring after the gods of the strangers of the land, whither they go to be among them, and will forsake me, and break my covenant which I have made with them.
17 Then my anger shall be kindled against them in that day, and I will forsake them, and I will hide my face from them, and they shall be devoured, and many evils and troubles shall befall them; so that they will say in that day, Are not these evils come upon us, because our God is not among us?
18 And I will surely hide my face in that day for all the evils which they shall have wrought, in that they are turned unto other gods.
19 Now therefore write ye this song for you, and teach it the children of Israel: put it in their mouths, that this song may be a witness for me against the children of Israel.
20 For when I shall have brought them into the land which I sware unto their fathers, that floweth with milk and honey; and they shall have eaten and filled themselves, and waxen fat; then will they turn unto other gods, and serve them, and provoke me, and break my covenant.
21 And it shall come to pass, when many evils and troubles are befallen them, that this song shall testify against them as a witness; for it shall not be forgotten out of the mouths of their seed: for I know their imagination which they go about, even now, before I have brought them into the land which I sware.
22 Moses therefore wrote this song the same day, and taught it the children of Israel.
23 And he gave Joshua the son of Nun a charge, and said, Be strong and of a good courage: for thou shalt bring the children of Israel into the land which I sware unto them: and I will be with thee.
24 And it came to pass, when Moses had made an end of writing the words of this law in a book, until they were finished,
25 That Moses commanded the Levites, which bare the ark of the covenant of the Lord, saying,
26 Take this book of the law, and put it in the side of the ark of the covenant of the Lord your God, that it may be there for a witness against thee.
27 For I know thy rebellion, and thy stiff neck: behold, while I am yet alive with you this day, ye have been rebellious against the Lord; and how much more after my death?
28 Gather unto me all the elders of your tribes, and your officers, that I may speak these words in their ears, and call heaven and earth to record against them.
29 For I know that after my death ye will utterly corrupt yourselves, and turn aside from the way which I have commanded you; and evil will befall you in the latter days; because ye will do evil in the sight of the Lord, to provoke him to anger through the work of your hands.
30 And Moses spake in the ears of all the congregation of Israel the words of this song, until they were ended.
