Jòb 8
1 Lè sa a, Bildad, moun peyi Chwa a, pran lapawòl, li di konsa:
2 -Kilè w’a sispann pale jan w’ap pale a? Se bri ase w’ap fè tankou kalbas gran bouch!
3 Bondye pa nan lenjistis. Bondye ki gen tout pouvwa a ap toujou fè sa ki dwat.
4 Si pitit ou yo te dezobeyi lòd li yo, li fè yo peye sa yo fè a.
5 Ou menm menm, rele Bondye. Lapriyè nan pye Bondye ki gen tout pouvwa a.
6 Si li pa gen anyen pou l’ repwoche ou, si ou toujou mache dwat devan li, lè sa a, ou mèt sèten, l’a fè kichòy pou ou, l’ap renmèt ou tou sa ou te genyen.
7 Tou sa ou te gen anvan an p’ap anyen devan sa Bondye pral ba ou a.
8 Chache konnen sa ki te pase nan tan lontan. Gade sa ki te rive zansèt nou yo.
9 Nou menm, nou se moun ayè. Nou pa konn anyen. Se pase n’ap pase sou tè a.
10 Men, granmoun tan lontan yo va moutre ou anpil bagay. Y’a pale avè ou. Tande sa y’ap di ou.
11 Se nan marekay ou jwenn jon. Wozo pa pouse kote ki pa gen dlo.
12 Nan tan chechrès, li te mèt tou piti, tou vèt, lè lesèk tonbe, anvan menm yo koupe l’, premye zèb ki fennen se li menm.
13 Se menm bagay la tou pou moun ki bliye si gen Bondye. Moun ki vire do bay Bondye p’ap jwenn sa y’ap tann lan.
14 Konfyans yo pa chita sou anyen. Se tankou si y’ap apiye sou bwa pouri.
15 Si yo panche sou li, li ale. Si yo kenbe l’ fò, y’ap blayi atè ansanm avè l’.
16 Mechan yo pouse tankou move zèb nan solèy. Yo pran tout jaden an pou yo.
17 Rasin yo mache nan mitan tout fant wòch yo. Se la yo jwenn sa yo bezwen pou yo viv.
18 Rache ou rache yo pa gen moun ki pou konnen kote yo te ye a.
19 Talè konsa, l’ap pouri bò chemen an. Se lòt k’ap pouse nan plas li.
20 Non, monchè! Bondye pa janm lage moun ki kenbe pye l’ fèm. Ni li pa janm lonje men l’ pou l’ soutni mechan yo.
21 L’a fè kè ou kontan ankò, bouch ou pral chante bèl chante pou li.
22 Men, l’ap fè moun ki pa vle wè ou yo wont. Fanmi mechan yo va disparèt.

Job 8
1 Bildad de Schuach prit la parole et dit:
2 Jusqu’à quand veux-tu discourir de la sorte, Et les paroles de ta bouche seront-elles un vent impétueux?
3 Dieu renverserait-il le droit? Le Tout Puissant renverserait-il la justice?
4 Si tes fils ont péché contre lui, Il les a livrés à leur péché.
5 Mais toi, si tu as recours à Dieu, Si tu implores le Tout Puissant;
6 Si tu es juste et droit, Certainement alors il veillera sur toi, Et rendra le bonheur à ton innocente demeure;
7 Ton ancienne prospérité semblera peu de chose, Celle qui t’est réservée sera bien plus grande.
8 Interroge ceux des générations passées, Sois attentif à l’expérience de leurs pères.
9 Car nous sommes d’hier, et nous ne savons rien, Nos jours sur la terre ne sont qu’une ombre.
10 Ils t’instruiront, ils te parleront, Ils tireront de leur coeur ces sentences:
11 Le jonc croît-il sans marais? Le roseau croît-il sans humidité?
12 Encore vert et sans qu’on le coupe, Il sèche plus vite que toutes les herbes.
13 Ainsi arrive-t-il à tous ceux qui oublient Dieu, Et l’espérance de l’impie périra.
14 Son assurance est brisée, Son soutien est une toile d’araignée.
15 Il s’appuie sur sa maison, et elle n’est pas ferme; Il s’y cramponne, et elle ne résiste pas.
16 Dans toute sa vigueur, en plein soleil, Il étend ses rameaux sur son jardin,
17 Il entrelace ses racines parmi les pierres, Il pénètre jusque dans les murailles;
18 L’arrache-t-on du lieu qu’il occupe, Ce lieu le renie: Je ne t’ai point connu!
19 Telles sont les délices que ses voies lui procurent. Puis sur le même sol d’autres s’élèvent après lui.
20 Non, Dieu ne rejette point l’homme intègre, Et il ne protège point les méchants.
21 Il remplira ta bouche de cris de joie, Et tes lèvres de chants d’allégresse.
22 Tes ennemis seront couverts de honte; La tente des méchants disparaîtra.

Job 8
1 Then answered Bildad the Shuhite, and said,
2 How long wilt thou speak these things? and how long shall the words of thy mouth be like a strong wind?
3 Doth God pervert judgment? or doth the Almighty pervert justice?
4 If thy children have sinned against him, and he have cast them away for their transgression;
5 If thou wouldest seek unto God betimes, and make thy supplication to the Almighty;
6 If thou wert pure and upright; surely now he would awake for thee, and make the habitation of thy righteousness prosperous.
7 Though thy beginning was small, yet thy latter end should greatly increase.
8 For enquire, I pray thee, of the former age, and prepare thyself to the search of their fathers:
9 (For we are but of yesterday, and know nothing, because our days upon earth are a shadow:)
10 Shall not they teach thee, and tell thee, and utter words out of their heart?
11 Can the rush grow up without mire? can the flag grow without water?
12 Whilst it is yet in his greenness, and not cut down, it withereth before any other herb.
13 So are the paths of all that forget God; and the hypocrite’s hope shall perish:
14 Whose hope shall be cut off, and whose trust shall be a spider’s web.
15 He shall lean upon his house, but it shall not stand: he shall hold it fast, but it shall not endure.
16 He is green before the sun, and his branch shooteth forth in his garden.
17 His roots are wrapped about the heap, and seeth the place of stones.
18 If he destroy him from his place, then it shall deny him, saying, I have not seen thee.
19 Behold, this is the joy of his way, and out of the earth shall others grow.
20 Behold, God will not cast away a perfect man, neither will he help the evil doers:
21 Till he fill thy mouth with laughing, and thy lips with rejoicing.
22 They that hate thee shall be clothed with shame; and the dwelling place of the wicked shall come to nought.
