Zakari 1
1 Nan uityèm mwa dizyèm lanne rèy wa Dariyis, Seyè a pale ak pwofèt Zakari, ki te pitit Berekya, pitit pitit Ido. Li ba li mesaj sa a pou pèp la.
2 Li di li: -Mwen menm Seyè a, mwen te fache anpil sou zansèt nou yo.
3 Men koulye a, mwen menm Seyè ki gen tout pouvwa a, men sa m’ voye di nou: Tounen vin jwenn mwen, m’a tounen vin jwenn nou tou. Se vre wi sa m’ap di nou la a.
4 Pa fè tankou zansèt nou yo. Nan tan lontan pwofèt yo te ba yo mesaj mwen. Yo te di yo: Men sa Seyè a di nou: Kite move chemen n’ap swiv la. Sispann fè sa ki mal. Men, yo pa t’ koute m’, yo fè tankou se pa avè yo m’ t’ap pale. Se vre wi sa m’ap di la a.
5 Kote zansèt nou yo ye koulye a? Eske pwofèt yo te ka viv san yo pa janm mouri?
6 Men, sa m’ te di nan pawòl ak lòd mwen te bay pwofèt yo, sèvitè m’ yo, pou zansèt nou yo, èske sa pa rive yo vre? Lè sa a, yo vin règrèt sa yo te fè a. Yo rekonèt mwen menm, Seyè ki gen tout pouvwa a, mwen te pini yo pou jan yo t’ap viv la, pou tou sa yo te fè ki mal, jan mwen te soti pou m’ fè l’ la.
7 Nan dezyèm lanne rèy wa Dariyis, vennkatriyèm jou nan onzyèm mwa a, mwa yo rele Cheba a, Seyè a bay pwofèt Zakari, pitit Berekya, pitit pitit Ido a, yon mesaj.
8 Men ki jan pwofèt la rakonte l’: -Mwen fè yon vizyon nan mitan lannwit: Mwen wè yon nonm sou yon chwal wouj. Li te kanpe nan mitan yon bann pye jasmen ki te nan yon ti fon anba pyebwa. Te gen yon chwal wouj, yon chwal alzan ak yon chwal blan kanpe dèyè do l’.
9 Mwen mande: -Kisa chwal sa yo ye menm, mèt? Zanj ki t’ap pale avè m’ lan reponn mwen: -Mwen pral fè ou wè sa yo ye.
10 Nonm ki te kanpe nan mitan pye jasmen yo pran lapawòl, li di m’ konsa: -Se moun Seyè a te voye al wè sa k’ap pase toupatou sou latè.
11 Chwal yo pale ak zanj Bondye a ki te kanpe nan mitan pye jasmen yo, yo di l’ konsa: -Nou te ale toupatou sou latè. Nou te wè tout moun chita byen dousman lakay yo, san bri san kont.
12 Lè sa a, zanj Seyè a pran lapawòl, epi li di: -Seyè ki gen tout pouvwa, sa fè swasanndizan depi ou ankòlè sou lavil Jerizalèm ak sou lavil Jida yo. Kilè w’a resi gen pitye pou yo?
13 Seyè a reponn zanj ki t’ap pale avè m’ lan. Li ba li bon pawòl pou remoute kouraj li.
14 Lèfini, zanj ki t’ap pale avè m’ lan di m’: -Men sa pou ou fè moun yo konnen: Seyè ki gen tout pouvwa a pale. Li di: Mwen renmen lavil Jerizalèm ki sou mòn Siyon an anpil anpil.
15 Men, mwen move anpil sou nasyon k’ap mennen lavi dous yo. Mwen te fache sou pèp mwen an, se vre. Men, mwen pa t’ twò fache pase sa. Men, nasyon yo pwofite, yo fè gwo malè sou li.
16 Se poutèt sa, men sa Seyè a di: M’ap tounen vin jwenn lavil Jerizalèm ankò, m’ap gen pitye pou li. Yo pral rebati tanp mwen an nan lavil la. Jerizalèm pral kanpe ankò. Se mwen men, Seyè a, ki di sa:
17 Zanj lan di m’: -Men yon lòt bagay pou fè yo konnen ankò. Seyè a pale, li di konsa: Lavil mwen yo pral wè zafè yo mache byen ankò. M’ap gen pitye pou mòn Siyon an ankò. Mwen pral chwazi lavil Jerizalèm pou li rele m’ pa m’ ankò.
18 Apre sa, mwen fè yon lòt vizyon, mwen leve je m’ gade. Mwen wè kat kòn bèf.
19 Mwen mande zanj ki t’ap pale avè m’ lan: -Kisa kòn sa yo ye, mèt? Li reponn mwen: -Kòn sa yo, se nasyon ki te depòte moun peyi Jida yo, pèp Izrayèl la ansanm ak moun lavil Jerizalèm yo.
20 Apre sa, Seyè a fè m’ wè kat bòs fòjon ak mato nan men yo.
21 Mwen mande l’: -Kisa moun sa yo vin fè la a? Li reponn mwen: -Kòn sa yo, se nasyon ki te depòte tout pèp peyi Jida a, ki te fè tout moun Jida yo t’ap mache tèt bese. Men, bòs fòjon sa yo vini pou yo fè nasyon yo pè, pou kraze pouvwa tout nasyon ki t’ap pwofite sou pèp peyi Jida a, lèfini ki te gaye yo toupatou.

Zacharie 1
1 Le huitième mois, la seconde année de Darius, la parole de l’Éternel fut adressée à Zacharie, fils de Bérékia, fils d’Iddo, le prophète, en ces mots:
2 L’Éternel a été très irrité contre vos pères.
3 Dis-leur donc: Ainsi parle l’Éternel des armées: Revenez à moi, dit l’Éternel des armées, et je reviendrai à vous, dit l’Éternel des armées.
4 Ne soyez pas comme vos pères, auxquels s’adressaient les premiers prophètes, en disant: Ainsi parle l’Éternel des armées: Détournez-vous de vos mauvaises voies, de vos mauvaises actions! Mais ils n’écoutèrent pas, ils ne firent pas attention à moi, dit l’Éternel.
5 Vos pères, où sont-ils? et les prophètes pouvaient-ils vivre éternellement?
6 Cependant mes paroles et les ordres que j’avais donnés à mes serviteurs, les prophètes, n’ont-ils pas atteint vos pères? Ils se sont retournés, et ils ont dit: L’Éternel des armées nous a traités comme il avait résolu de le faire selon nos voies et nos actions.
7 Le vingt-quatrième jour du onzième mois, qui est le mois de Schebat, la seconde année de Darius, la parole de l’Éternel fut adressée à Zacharie, fils de Bérékia, fils d’Iddo, le prophète, en ces mots:
8 Je regardai pendant la nuit, et voici, un homme était monté sur un cheval roux, et se tenait parmi des myrtes dans un lieu ombragé; il y avait derrière lui des chevaux roux, fauves, et blancs.
9 Je dis: Qui sont ces chevaux, mon seigneur? Et l’ange qui parlait avec moi me dit: Je te ferai voir qui sont ces chevaux.
10 L’homme qui se tenait parmi les myrtes prit la parole et dit: Ce sont ceux que l’Éternel a envoyés pour parcourir la terre.
11 Et ils s’adressèrent à l’ange de l’Éternel, qui se tenait parmi les myrtes, et ils dirent: Nous avons parcouru la terre, et voici, toute la terre est en repos et tranquille.
12 Alors l’ange de l’Éternel prit la parole et dit: Éternel des armées, jusques à quand n’auras-tu pas compassion de Jérusalem et des villes de Juda, contre lesquelles tu es irrité depuis soixante-dix ans?
13 L’Éternel répondit par de bonnes paroles, par des paroles de consolation, à l’ange qui parlait avec moi.
14 Et l’ange qui parlait avec moi me dit: Crie, et dis: Ainsi parle l’Éternel des armées: Je suis ému d’une grande jalousie pour Jérusalem et pour Sion,
15 et je suis saisi d’une grande irritation contre les nations orgueilleuses; car je n’étais que peu irrité, mais elles ont contribué au mal.
16 C’est pourquoi ainsi parle l’Éternel: Je reviens à Jérusalem avec compassion; ma maison y sera rebâtie, et le cordeau sera étendu sur Jérusalem.
17 Crie de nouveau, et dis: Ainsi parle l’Éternel des armées: Mes villes auront encore des biens en abondance; l’Éternel consolera encore Sion, il choisira encore Jérusalem.
18 Je levai les yeux et je regardai, et voici, il y avait quatre cornes.
19 Je dis à l’ange qui parlait avec moi: Qu’est-ce que ces cornes? Et il me dit: Ce sont les cornes qui ont dispersé Juda, Israël et Jérusalem.
20 L’Éternel me fit voir quatre forgerons.
21 Je dis: Que viennent-ils faire? Et il dit: Ce sont les cornes qui ont dispersé Juda, tellement que nul ne lève la tête; et ces forgerons sont venus pour les effrayer, et pour abattre les cornes des nations qui ont levé la corne contre le pays de Juda, afin d’en disperser les habitants.

Zechariah 1
1 In the eighth month, in the second year of Darius, came the word of the Lord unto Zechariah, the son of Berechiah, the son of Iddo the prophet, saying,
2 The Lord hath been sore displeased with your fathers.
3 Therefore say thou unto them, Thus saith the Lord of hosts; Turn ye unto me, saith the Lord of hosts, and I will turn unto you, saith the Lord of hosts.
4 Be ye not as your fathers, unto whom the former prophets have cried, saying, Thus saith the Lord of hosts; Turn ye now from your evil ways, and from your evil doings: but they did not hear, nor hearken unto me, saith the Lord.
5 Your fathers, where are they? and the prophets, do they live for ever?
6 But my words and my statutes, which I commanded my servants the prophets, did they not take hold of your fathers? and they returned and said, Like as the Lord of hosts thought to do unto us, according to our ways, and according to our doings, so hath he dealt with us.
7 Upon the four and twentieth day of the eleventh month, which is the month Sebat, in the second year of Darius, came the word of the Lord unto Zechariah, the son of Berechiah, the son of Iddo the prophet, saying,
8 I saw by night, and behold a man riding upon a red horse, and he stood among the myrtle trees that were in the bottom; and behind him were there red horses, speckled, and white.
9 Then said I, O my lord, what are these? And the angel that talked with me said unto me, I will shew thee what these be.
10 And the man that stood among the myrtle trees answered and said, These are they whom the Lord hath sent to walk to and fro through the earth.
11 And they answered the angel of the Lord that stood among the myrtle trees, and said, We have walked to and fro through the earth, and, behold, all the earth sitteth still, and is at rest.
12 Then the angel of the Lord answered and said, O Lord of hosts, how long wilt thou not have mercy on Jerusalem and on the cities of Judah, against which thou hast had indignation these threescore and ten years?
13 And the Lord answered the angel that talked with me with good words and comfortable words.
14 So the angel that communed with me said unto me, Cry thou, saying, Thus saith the Lord of hosts; I am jealous for Jerusalem and for Zion with a great jealousy.
15 And I am very sore displeased with the heathen that are at ease: for I was but a little displeased, and they helped forward the affliction.
16 Therefore thus saith the Lord; I am returned to Jerusalem with mercies: my house shall be built in it, saith the Lord of hosts, and a line shall be stretched forth upon Jerusalem.
17 Cry yet, saying, Thus saith the Lord of hosts; My cities through prosperity shall yet be spread abroad; and the Lord shall yet comfort Zion, and shall yet choose Jerusalem.
18 Then lifted I up mine eyes, and saw, and behold four horns.
19 And I said unto the angel that talked with me, What be these? And he answered me, These are the horns which have scattered Judah, Israel, and Jerusalem.
20 And the Lord shewed me four carpenters.
21 Then said I, What come these to do? And he spake, saying, These are the horns which have scattered Judah, so that no man did lift up his head: but these are come to fray them, to cast out the horns of the Gentiles, which lifted up their horn over the land of Judah to scatter it.
