Ezekyel 19
1 Bondye pale avè m’, li di m’ konsa: -Koulye a, plenn sò chèf peyi Izrayèl yo.
2 Men sa ou pral di: Apa yon manman lyon manman ou tè ye! Li kouche nan mitan lyon yo, l’ap okipe pitit li yo.
3 Li pran yonn nan pitit li yo, li fè l’ tounen yon jenn mal lyon. Jenn lyon an aprann jan pou l’ kouri dèyè bèt pou l’ manje. Li tanmen devore moun.
4 Men, lòt nasyon yo pran nouvèl la. Yo pran l’ nan pèlen twou yo te pare pou li a. Yo mete yon zanno fè nan nen l’, yo trennen l’ ale nan peyi Lejip.
5 Manman lyon an tann, li tann jouk li pèdi espwa wè l’ ankò. Li pran yon lòt nan pitit li yo, li fè l’ tounen yon jenn mal lyon.
6 Li t’ap pwonmennen nan mitan lòt lyon yo, li tounen yon jenn mal lyon. Li aprann jan pou l’ kouri dèyè bèt pou l’ manje. Li tanmen devore moun.
7 Li demoli fò yo. Li sakaje lavil yo. Chak fwa li gwonde, moun k’ap viv nan peyi a gen kè sote.
8 Moun lòt nasyon yo leve dèyè l’. Moun soti toupatou nan pwovens bò kote l’ yo, yo vin voye yon privye sou li. Yo pran l’ nan pèlen twou yo te pare pou li a.
9 Yo mete yon zanno fè nan nen l’, yo fèmen l’ nan yon kaj. Yo mennen l’ bay wa Babilòn lan. Yo mete sòlda veye l’ pou moun pa janm tande vwa l’ ankò nan mòn peyi Izrayèl yo.
10 Manman ou te tankou yon pye rezen plante bò kannal dlo. Pye rezen an te chaje ak fèy, li t’ap donnen anpil paske li te jwenn kont dlo li.
11 Li pouse gwo branch. Branch yo tounen baton kòmandman wa. Pye rezen an grandi, li rive depase tèt tout lòt bwa yo. Tout moun t’ap gade jan li te wo, jan li te gen anpil branch.
12 Men, yo move sou li, yo derasinen l’, yo jete l’ atè. Van lès koule tout donn li yo, li kase tout gwo branch li yo. Branch yo cheche, yo boule nan dife.
13 Koulye a, se nan yon dezè li kanpe, nan yon tè sèk san dlo.
14 Dife pran nan pye rezen an. Li boule ni branch li yo ni donn li yo. Li pa gen gwo branch ankò ki pou ta sèvi baton kòmandman pou wa. Sa a se yon chante pou yo chante anpil fwa pou plenn sò chèf peyi Izrayèl yo.

1 Et toi, prononce une complainte sur les princes d’Israël,
2 et dis: Ta mère, qu’était-ce? Une lionne. Elle était couchée parmi les lions; C’est au milieu des lionceaux Qu’elle a élevé ses petits.
3 Elle éleva l’un de ses petits, Qui devint un jeune lion, Et qui apprit à déchirer sa proie; Il dévora des hommes.
4 Les nations entendirent parler de lui, Et il fut pris dans leur fosse; Elles mirent une boucle à ses narines et l’emmenèrent Dans le pays d’Égypte.
5 Quand la lionne vit qu’elle attendait en vain, Qu’elle était trompée dans son espérance, Elle prit un autre de ses petits, Et en fit un jeune lion.
6 Il marcha parmi les lions, Il devint un jeune lion, Et il apprit à déchirer sa proie; Il dévora des hommes.
7 Il força leurs palais, Et détruisit leurs villes; Le pays, tout ce qui s’y trouvait, fut ravagé, Au bruit de ses rugissements.
8 Contre lui se rangèrent les nations D’alentour, des provinces; Elles tendirent sur lui leur rets, Et il fut pris dans leur fosse.
9 Elles mirent une boucle à ses narines, le placèrent dans une cage, Et l’emmenèrent auprès du roi de Babylone; Puis elles le conduisirent dans une forteresse, Afin qu’on n’entende plus sa voix sur les montagnes d’Israël.
10 Ta mère était, comme toi, semblable à une vigne, Plantée près des eaux. Elle était féconde et chargée de branches, A cause de l’abondance des eaux.
11 Elle avait de vigoureux rameaux pour des sceptres de souverains; Par son élévation elle dominait les branches touffues; Elle attirait les regards par sa hauteur, Et par la multitude de ses rameaux.
12 Mais elle a été arrachée avec fureur et jetée par terre; Le vent d’orient a desséché son fruit; Ses rameaux vigoureux ont été rompus et desséchés; Le feu les a dévorés.
13 Et maintenant elle est plantée dans le désert, Dans une terre sèche et aride.
14 Le feu est sorti de ses branches, Et a dévoré son fruit; Elle n’a plus de rameau vigoureux Pour un sceptre de souverain. C’est là une complainte, et cela servira de complainte.

1 Moreover take thou up a lamentation for the princes of Israel,
2 And say, What is thy mother? A lioness: she lay down among lions, she nourished her whelps among young lions.
3 And she brought up one of her whelps: it became a young lion, and it learned to catch the prey; it devoured men.
4 The nations also heard of him; he was taken in their pit, and they brought him with chains unto the land of Egypt.
5 Now when she saw that she had waited, and her hope was lost, then she took another of her whelps, and made him a young lion.
6 And he went up and down among the lions, he became a young lion, and learned to catch the prey, and devoured men.
7 And he knew their desolate palaces, and he laid waste their cities; and the land was desolate, and the fulness thereof, by the noise of his roaring.
8 Then the nations set against him on every side from the provinces, and spread their net over him: he was taken in their pit.
9 And they put him in ward in chains, and brought him to the king of Babylon: they brought him into holds, that his voice should no more be heard upon the mountains of Israel.
10 Thy mother is like a vine in thy blood, planted by the waters: she was fruitful and full of branches by reason of many waters.
11 And she had strong rods for the sceptres of them that bare rule, and her stature was exalted among the thick branches, and she appeared in her height with the multitude of her branches.
12 But she was plucked up in fury, she was cast down to the ground, and the east wind dried up her fruit: her strong rods were broken and withered; the fire consumed them.
13 And now she is planted in the wilderness, in a dry and thirsty ground.
14 And fire is gone out of a rod of her branches, which hath devoured her fruit, so that she hath no strong rod to be a sceptre to rule. This is a lamentation, and shall be for a lamentation.
