Jòb 36
1 Eliyou pran pale ankò, li di konsa:
2 -Pran yon ti pasyans. Kite m’ fè yon ti pale ankò, paske m’ poko fin di sa m’ gen pou m’ di pou pran defans Bondye.
3 Mwen pral sèvi ak tou sa mwen konnen pou m’ moutre ou se Bondye ki kreye m’ lan ki gen rezon.
4 Mwen p’ap bay manti nan sa m’ap di la a. Se yon nonm ki gen anpil konesans k’ap pale avè ou la a.
5 Bondye gen pouvwa. Li pa meprize pesonn. Pa gen anyen li pa konprann.
6 Li p’ap kite mechan yo viv lontan. Li toujou aji ak pòv yo san patipri.
7 Li defann kòz moun ki mache dwat yo. Li mete yo chèf pou yo gouvènen tankou wa. Toutan tout moun ap pale byen pou yo.
8 Men, si Bondye mete yo nan chenn, si lafliksyon makònen nan tout kò yo,
9 Bondye va louvri je yo pou yo ka wè tou sa y’ap fè a. Li moutre yo se lògèy k’ap fè yo fè peche.
10 Li pale nan zòrèy yo pou avèti yo. Li mande yo pou yo sispann fè sa ki mal.
11 Si yo koute Bondye, si yo soumèt devan li, y’a viv rès lavi yo nan kè kontan ak nan plezi.
12 Si se pa sa, y’ap rete konsa y’ap mouri. Y’ap desann kote mò yo ye a san yo pa konnen.
13 Men, mechan yo ap fè tèt di. Yo fache pi rèd. Yo te mèt anba kou, yo p’ap mande sekou.
14 Yo jenn gason toujou, yo gen tan mouri. Yo t’ap mennen yon lavi dezòd.
15 Men, Bondye pran soufrans lan, li sèvi avè l’ pou li moutre lèzòm anpil bagay. Se lè yo anba tray, li louvri lespri yo.
16 Ou menm tou, Bondye vle wete ou nan gwo lapenn sa a, pou ou ka rive gen jwisans san moun pa chache ou kont. Te gen yon lè tab ou te chaje ak bon manje.
17 Lè sa a, ou te fè menm lide ak mechan yo. Koulye a, yo pral pini ou jan ou merite l’ la.
18 Veye zo ou! Pa kite richès vire tèt ou ankò! Pa kite yo achte ou ak lajan osinon ak gwo kado!
19 Se pou ou jije tout moun, rich kou pòv, gwonèg la tankou nèg fèb la.
20 Pa kraze moun ki pa anyen pou ou pou mete fanmi ou nan plas yo.
21 Atansyon pou ou pa fè sa ki mal. Se pou sa menm w’ap soufri konsa.
22 Gade jan Bondye gen anpil pouvwa. Pa gen pi gran mèt pase l’.
23 Pesonn pa ka di Bondye sa pou l’ fè. Pesonn pa ka di l’ sa l’ fè a mal.
24 Se pou ou fè lwanj travay li pito, tankou tout moun toujou fè l’ la.
25 Se bèl bagay pou tout moun wè. Yo rete byen lwen, y’ap gade.
26 Wi. Nou p’ap janm ka fin konprann jan Bondye gen pouvwa! Nou p’ap janm ka fin konnen depi kilè Bondye la.
27 Se li menm ki rale dlo sou latè, ki fè l’ tounen vapè nan nwaj yo pou bay lapli.
28 Lèfini, li kite lapli soti nan syèl la tonbe sou tout moun sou latè.
29 Pesonn pa konnen ki jan nwaj yo fè deplase, ki jan loraj fè gwonde nan syèl kote Bondye rete a.
30 Li kouvri syèl la ak nwaj yo. Li kouvri tout tèt mòn yo.
31 Se konsa li bay pèp la manje. Li ba yo manje an kantite.
32 Li kenbe zèklè yo nan pla men li. Li bay lòd pou loraj tonbe kote li menm li vize a.
33 Loraj la anonse move tan. Ata bèt yo santi move tan an ap vini.

Job 36
1 Élihu continua et dit:
2 Attends un peu, et je vais poursuivre, Car j’ai des paroles encore pour la cause de Dieu.
3 Je prendrai mes raisons de haut, Et je prouverai la justice de mon créateur.
4 Sois-en sûr, mes discours ne sont pas des mensonges, Mes sentiments devant toi sont sincères.
5 Dieu est puissant, mais il ne rejette personne; Il est puissant par la force de son intelligence.
6 Il ne laisse pas vivre le méchant, Et il fait droit aux malheureux.
7 Il ne détourne pas les yeux de dessus les justes, Il les place sur le trône avec les rois, Il les y fait asseoir pour toujours, afin qu’ils soient élevés.
8 Viennent-ils à tomber dans les chaînes, Sont-ils pris dans les liens de l’adversité,
9 Il leur dénonce leurs oeuvres, Leurs transgressions, leur orgueil;
10 Il les avertit pour leur instruction, Il les exhorte à se détourner de l’iniquité.
11 S’ils écoutent et se soumettent, Ils achèvent leurs jours dans le bonheur, Leurs années dans la joie.
12 S’ils n’écoutent pas, ils périssent par le glaive, Ils expirent dans leur aveuglement.
13 Les impies se livrent à la colère, Ils ne crient pas à Dieu quand il les enchaîne;
14 Ils perdent la vie dans leur jeunesse, Ils meurent comme les débauchés.
15 Mais Dieu sauve le malheureux dans sa misère, Et c’est par la souffrance qu’il l’avertit.
16 Il te retirera aussi de la détresse, Pour te mettre au large, en pleine liberté, Et ta table sera chargée de mets succulents.
17 Mais si tu défends ta cause comme un impie, Le châtiment est inséparable de ta cause.
18 Que l’irritation ne t’entraîne pas à la moquerie, Et que la grandeur de la rançon ne te fasse pas dévier!
19 Tes cris suffiraient-ils pour te sortir d’angoisse, Et même toutes les forces que tu pourrais déployer?
20 Ne soupire pas après la nuit, Qui enlève les peuples de leur place.
21 Garde-toi de te livrer au mal, Car la souffrance t’y dispose.
22 Dieu est grand par sa puissance; Qui saurait enseigner comme lui?
23 Qui lui prescrit ses voies? Qui ose dire: Tu fais mal?
24 Souviens-toi d’exalter ses oeuvres, Que célèbrent tous les hommes.
25 Tout homme les contemple, Chacun les voit de loin.
26 Dieu est grand, mais sa grandeur nous échappe, Le nombre de ses années est impénétrable.
27 Il attire à lui les gouttes d’eau, Il les réduit en vapeur et forme la pluie;
28 Les nuages la laissent couler, Ils la répandent sur la foule des hommes.
29 Et qui comprendra le déchirement de la nuée, Le fracas de sa tente?
30 Voici, il étend autour de lui sa lumière, Et il se cache jusque dans les profondeurs de la mer.
31 Par ces moyens il juge les peuples, Et il donne la nourriture avec abondance.
32 Il prend la lumière dans sa main, Il la dirige sur ses adversaires.
33 Il s’annonce par un grondement; Les troupeaux pressentent son approche.

Job 36
1 Elihu also proceeded, and said,
2 Suffer me a little, and I will shew thee that I have yet to speak on God’s behalf.
3 I will fetch my knowledge from afar, and will ascribe righteousness to my Maker.
4 For truly my words shall not be false: he that is perfect in knowledge is with thee.
5 Behold, God is mighty, and despiseth not any: he is mighty in strength and wisdom.
6 He preserveth not the life of the wicked: but giveth right to the poor.
7 He withdraweth not his eyes from the righteous: but with kings are they on the throne; yea, he doth establish them for ever, and they are exalted.
8 And if they be bound in fetters, and be holden in cords of affliction;
9 Then he sheweth them their work, and their transgressions that they have exceeded.
10 He openeth also their ear to discipline, and commandeth that they return from iniquity.
11 If they obey and serve him, they shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures.
12 But if they obey not, they shall perish by the sword, and they shall die without knowledge.
13 But the hypocrites in heart heap up wrath: they cry not when he bindeth them.
14 They die in youth, and their life is among the unclean.
15 He delivereth the poor in his affliction, and openeth their ears in oppression.
16 Even so would he have removed thee out of the strait into a broad place, where there is no straitness; and that which should be set on thy table should be full of fatness.
17 But thou hast fulfilled the judgment of the wicked: judgment and justice take hold on thee.
18 Because there is wrath, beware lest he take thee away with his stroke: then a great ransom cannot deliver thee.
19 Will he esteem thy riches? no, not gold, nor all the forces of strength.
20 Desire not the night, when people are cut off in their place.
21 Take heed, regard not iniquity: for this hast thou chosen rather than affliction.
22 Behold, God exalteth by his power: who teacheth like him?
23 Who hath enjoined him his way? or who can say, Thou hast wrought iniquity?
24 Remember that thou magnify his work, which men behold.
25 Every man may see it; man may behold it afar off.
26 Behold, God is great, and we know him not, neither can the number of his years be searched out.
27 For he maketh small the drops of water: they pour down rain according to the vapour thereof:
28 Which the clouds do drop and distil upon man abundantly.
29 Also can any understand the spreadings of the clouds, or the noise of his tabernacle?
30 Behold, he spreadeth his light upon it, and covereth the bottom of the sea.
31 For by them judgeth he the people; he giveth meat in abundance.
32 With clouds he covereth the light; and commandeth it not to shine by the cloud that cometh betwixt.
33 The noise thereof sheweth concerning it, the cattle also concerning the vapour.
