Pwovèb 3
1 Pitit mwen, pa janm bliye sa mwen moutre ou yo. Kenbe tou sa mwen di ou fè yo nan kè ou.
2 Se yo k’ap fè ou viv lontan. Se yo k’ap fè ou viv ak kè poze.
3 Se pou ou toujou viv byen ak tout moun. Se pou ou toujou gen yon sèl pawòl. Mete pawòl mwen yo nan kou ou tankou yon kolye, kenbe yo nan kè ou pou ou pa janm bliye yo.
4 Si ou fè sa, Bondye va kontan avè ou, lèzòm va nonmen non ou an byen.
5 Mete tout konfyans ou nan Seyè a. Pa gade sou sa ou konnen.
6 Toujou chonje Seyè a nan tou sa w’ap fè. Li menm, l’a moutre ou chemen pou ou pran.
7 Pa mete nan tèt ou ou gen plis konprann pase sa. Gen krentif pou Seyè a, refize fè sa ki mal.
8 Lè ou fè sa, se va tankou yon bon medikaman: W’a toujou gaya, ou p’ap janm soufri doulè.
9 Fè wè jan ou gen respè pou Seyè a: ba li nan tou sa ou genyen, ofri l’ premye donn ou rekòlte nan jaden ou.
10 Lè ou fè sa, galata ou ap toujou chaje danre. Barik diven ou yo ap plen ra bouch.
11 Pitit mwen, lè Seyè a ap pini ou, pa betize ak sa. Lè l’ap korije ou, pa dekouraje.
12 Paske Seyè a korije moun li renmen, menm jan yon papa korije pitit li renmen anpil la.
13 Ala bon sa bon pou moun ki gen konesans, pou moun ki rive gen bon konprann!
14 Benefis l’ap rapòte pi bon pase sa lajan bay. Avantaj l’ap bay gen plis valè pase lò.
15 Sajès pi bon pase boul lò. Nanpwen anyen moun ta renmen genyen ki ka parèt devan li.
16 Yon bò, bon konprann ap fè moun viv lontan. Yon lòt bò, l’ap bay richès, l’ap fè moun respekte ou.
17 L’ap fè moun viv ak kè kontan. L’ap fè ou reyisi nan tou sa w’ap fè.
18 Moun ki gen bon konprann jwenn lavi. Sa bon nèt pou moun ki gen bon konprann!
19 Avèk bon konprann li, Bondye kreye latè. Avèk entèlijans li, li mete syèl la nan plas li.
20 Avèk konesans li, li fè larivyè yo koule. Li fè nwaj yo bay lapli sou latè.
21 Pitit mwen, kenbe pye konesans ou, pa pèdi konprann ou. Pa janm kite anyen fè ou bliye yo.
22 Y’ap ba ou lavi, y’ap fè lavi ou bèl tankou yon kolye ki pase nan kou ou.
23 W’a fè chemen ou nan lavi san ou pa pè anyen. Ou p’ap janm bite sou anyen.
24 Lè ou pral kouche, ou p’ap pè anyen. Lè w’a fin lonje kò ou, w’a dòmi nèt ale.
25 Ou p’ap bezwen pè: malè p’ap rete konsa pou l’ tonbe sou tèt ou. Ni tou, sa ki rive mechan yo p’ap rive ou.
26 Paske se Seyè a ki tout espwa ou. Li p’ap kite ou pran nan pèlen.
27 Pa refize fè byen pou moun ki nan nesesite, chak fwa ou santi ou ka fè sa.
28 Si ou gen lajan sou ou, ou pa ka di frè parèy ou: Ale non! Tounen denmen. M’a ba ou kichòy!
29 Moun k’ap viv ansanm avè ou, ki mete konfyans yo nan ou, pa manniganse anyen ki pou fè yo mal.
30 Pa fè kabouyay san rezon ak yon moun san li pa janm fè ou anyen ki mal.
31 Pa anvye sò mechan yo. Pa mete nan tèt ou pou ou fè tankou yo.
32 Paske Seyè a pa vle wè moun ki deprave. Men, li mete moun ki mache dwat yo nan tout sekrè l’ yo.
33 Madichon Bondye chita lakay mechan yo. Men, benediksyon l’ ap kouvri kay moun ki mache dwat yo.
34 Moun k’ap pase moun nan betiz, Bondye ap pase yo nan betiz tou. Men, moun ki fè byen, l’ap moutre yo jan li renmen yo.
35 Y’a fè lwanj moun ki gen bon konprann yo, men moun fou yo, se wont y’a wont.

Proverbes 3
1 Mon fils, n’oublie pas mes enseignements, Et que ton coeur garde mes préceptes;
2 Car ils prolongeront les jours et les années de ta vie, Et ils augmenteront ta paix.
3 Que la bonté et la fidélité ne t’abandonnent pas; Lie-les à ton cou, écris-les sur la table de ton coeur.
4 Tu acquerras ainsi de la grâce et une raison saine, Aux yeux de Dieu et des hommes.
5 Confie-toi en l’Éternel de tout ton coeur, Et ne t’appuie pas sur ta sagesse;
6 Reconnais-le dans toutes tes voies, Et il aplanira tes sentiers.
7 Ne sois point sage à tes propres yeux, Crains l’Éternel, et détourne-toi du mal:
8 Ce sera la santé pour tes muscles, Et un rafraîchissement pour tes os.
9 Honore l’Éternel avec tes biens, Et avec les prémices de tout ton revenu:
10 Alors tes greniers seront remplis d’abondance, Et tes cuves regorgeront de moût.
11 Mon fils, ne méprise pas la correction de l’Éternel, Et ne t’effraie point de ses châtiments;
12 Car l’Éternel châtie celui qu’il aime, Comme un père l’enfant qu’il chérit.
13 Heureux l’homme qui a trouvé la sagesse, Et l’homme qui possède l’intelligence!
14 Car le gain qu’elle procure est préférable à celui de l’argent, Et le profit qu’on en tire vaut mieux que l’or;
15 Elle est plus précieuse que les perles, Elle a plus de valeur que tous les objets de prix.
16 Dans sa droite est une longue vie; Dans sa gauche, la richesse et la gloire.
17 Ses voies sont des voies agréables, Et tous ses sentiers sont paisibles.
18 Elle est un arbre de vie pour ceux qui la saisissent, Et ceux qui la possèdent sont heureux.
19 C’est par la sagesse que l’Éternel a fondé la terre, C’est par l’intelligence qu’il a affermi les cieux;
20 C’est par sa science que les abîmes se sont ouverts, Et que les nuages distillent la rosée.
21 Mon fils, que ces enseignements ne s’éloignent pas de tes yeux, Garde la sagesse et la réflexion:
22 Elles seront la vie de ton âme, Et l’ornement de ton cou.
23 Alors tu marcheras avec assurance dans ton chemin, Et ton pied ne heurtera pas.
24 Si tu te couches, tu seras sans crainte; Et quand tu seras couché, ton sommeil sera doux.
25 Ne redoute ni une terreur soudaine, Ni une attaque de la part des méchants;
26 Car l’Éternel sera ton assurance, Et il préservera ton pied de toute embûche.
27 Ne refuse pas un bienfait à celui qui y a droit, Quand tu as le pouvoir de l’accorder.
28 Ne dis pas à ton prochain: Va et reviens, Demain je donnerai! quand tu as de quoi donner.
29 Ne médite pas le mal contre ton prochain, Lorsqu’il demeure tranquillement près de toi.
30 Ne conteste pas sans motif avec quelqu’un, Lorsqu’il ne t’a point fait de mal.
31 Ne porte pas envie à l’homme violent, Et ne choisis aucune de ses voies.
32 Car l’Éternel a en horreur les hommes pervers, Mais il est un ami pour les hommes droits;
33 La malédiction de l’Éternel est dans la maison du méchant, Mais il bénit la demeure des justes;
34 Il se moque des moqueurs, Mais il fait grâce aux humbles;
35 Les sages hériteront la gloire, Mais les insensés ont la honte en partage.

Proverbs 3
1 My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments:
2 For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee.
3 Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart:
4 So shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man.
5 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
7 Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord, and depart from evil.
8 It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones.
9 Honour the Lord with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase:
10 So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine.
11 My son, despise not the chastening of the Lord; neither be weary of his correction:
12 For whom the Lord loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth.
13 Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding.
14 For the merchandise of it is better than the merchandise of silver, and the gain thereof than fine gold.
15 She is more precious than rubies: and all the things thou canst desire are not to be compared unto her.
16 Length of days is in her right hand; and in her left hand riches and honour.
17 Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace.
18 She is a tree of life to them that lay hold upon her: and happy is every one that retaineth her.
19 The Lord by wisdom hath founded the earth; by understanding hath he established the heavens.
20 By his knowledge the depths are broken up, and the clouds drop down the dew.
21 My son, let not them depart from thine eyes: keep sound wisdom and discretion:
22 So shall they be life unto thy soul, and grace to thy neck.
23 Then shalt thou walk in thy way safely, and thy foot shall not stumble.
24 When thou liest down, thou shalt not be afraid: yea, thou shalt lie down, and thy sleep shall be sweet.
25 Be not afraid of sudden fear, neither of the desolation of the wicked, when it cometh.
26 For the Lord shall be thy confidence, and shall keep thy foot from being taken.
27 Withhold not good from them to whom it is due, when it is in the power of thine hand to do it.
28 Say not unto thy neighbour, Go, and come again, and to morrow I will give; when thou hast it by thee.
29 Devise not evil against thy neighbour, seeing he dwelleth securely by thee.
30 Strive not with a man without cause, if he have done thee no harm.
31 Envy thou not the oppressor, and choose none of his ways.
32 For the froward is abomination to the Lord: but his secret is with the righteous.
33 The curse of the Lord is in the house of the wicked: but he blesseth the habitation of the just.
34 Surely he scorneth the scorners: but he giveth grace unto the lowly.
35 The wise shall inherit glory: but shame shall be the promotion of fools.
