1 Menm jou lannwit sa a, wa a pa t’ ka dòmi. Li fè yo pote achiv gouvènman kote yo te ekri tou sa ki te pase nan peyi a nan tan lontan. Li fè yo li ladan l’ pou li.
2 Nan sa yo li a, te gen yon pòsyon kote yo te rakonte ki jan Madoche te dekouvri konplo de nan domestik konfyans wa a, Bigtan ak Tèrèch, ki t’ap fè pòs devan chanm wa a, te moute pou yo ansasinen wa a.
3 Wa a mande: -Kisa yo te fè pou Madoche lè sa a? Kisa yo te ba li pou sa? Mesye ki te la ap sèvi wa a reponn: -Yo pa t’ fè anyen pou li non.
4 Wa a mande: -Kilès nan chèf yo ki nan lakou palè a? Lè sa a, Aman te fèk antre nan lakou palè a. Li te vin mande wa a pou l’ te fè pann Madoche nan poto li te pare a.
5 Mesye yo reponn: -Aman la a wi! L’ap espere ou nan lakou a. Wa a di: -Fè l’ antre!
6 Lè Aman antre, wa a di l’ konsa: -Ki pi bèl bagay m’ ta fè pou yon moun mwen ta renmen remèsye pou sèvis li rann mwen. Aman di nan kè l’: Pa gen lòt moun wa a ta renmen remèsye pase mwen menm!
7 Epi li di wa a: -Yon moun ou ta renmen remèsye pou sèvis li rann ou!
8 Enben! Fè yo pran yonn nan bèl rad ou konn mete sou ou yo pote l’ bay moun sa a. Pran chwal ou konn moute a ak tout kouwòn lan sou tèt li.
9 Chwazi yonn nan pi gwo chèf ou yo, fè l’ al abiye moun sa a ak rad wa a. Lèfini, l’a fè l’ moute sou chwal la. Epi, l’a pwonmennen l’ nan tout lavil la sou plas piblik la. Pandan y’ap mache konsa, chèf la va di byen fò: Men ki jan wa a remèsye moun pou sèvis yo rann li.
10 Lè sa a, wa a di Aman: -Kouri al chache rad la ak chwal la. Epi w’a fè tou sa ou di la a pou Madoche, nonm jwif la. w’a jwenn li chita bò pòtay palè a. Pa bliye anyen nan sa ou te di fè a.
11 Aman pran rad la ak chwal la, li mete rad la sou Madoche. Li fè Madoche moute sou chwal la. Epi, Aman pwonmennen l’ sou plas piblik la. Pandan y’ap mache konsa, li t’ap di byen fò pou tout moun tande: Men ki jan wa a remèsye moun pou sèvis yo rann li.
12 Apre sa, Madoche tounen tounen l’ bò pòtay palè wa a. Aman menm kouri al lakay li, li bouche figi l’ sitèlman li te wont.
13 Li rakonte madanm li ak tout zanmi l’ yo tou sa ki te rive l’. Lèfini, Zerès, madanm li, ak zanmi l’ yo ki te gen bon konprann di l’ konsa: -Si Madoche se yon jwif vre, koulye a ou p’ap ka fè l’ anyen. Ou konmanse pèdi pye devan l’. Ou mèt sèten se li k’ap kraze ou.
14 Zanmi l’ yo t’ap pale toujou, lè domestik konfyans wa yo rive vin chache Aman pou l’ ale touswit nan fèt Estè te pare a.

Esther 6
1 Cette nuit-là, le roi ne put pas dormir, et il se fit apporter le livre des annales, les Chroniques. On les lut devant le roi,
2 et l’on trouva écrit ce que Mardochée avait révélé au sujet de Bigthan et de Théresch, les deux eunuques du roi, gardes du seuil, qui avaient voulu porter la main sur le roi Assuérus.
3 Le roi dit: Quelle marque de distinction et d’honneur Mardochée a-t-il reçue pour cela? Il n’a rien reçu, répondirent ceux qui servaient le roi.
4 Alors le roi dit: Qui est dans la cour? -Haman était venu dans la cour extérieure de la maison du roi, pour demander au roi de faire pendre Mardochée au bois qu’il avait préparé pour lui. –
5 Les serviteurs du roi lui répondirent: C’est Haman qui se tient dans la cour. Et le roi dit: Qu’il entre.
6 Haman entra, et le roi lui dit: Que faut-il faire pour un homme que le roi veut honorer? Haman se dit en lui-même: Quel autre que moi le roi voudrait-il honorer?
7 Et Haman répondit au roi: Pour un homme que le roi veut honorer,
8 il faut prendre le vêtement royal dont le roi se couvre et le cheval que le roi monte et sur la tête duquel se pose une couronne royale,
9 remettre le vêtement et le cheval à l’un des principaux chefs du roi, puis revêtir l’homme que le roi veut honorer, le promener à cheval à travers la place de la ville, et crier devant lui: C’est ainsi que l’on fait à l’homme que le roi veut honorer!
10 Le roi dit à Haman: Prends tout de suite le vêtement et le cheval, comme tu l’as dit, et fais ainsi pour Mardochée, le Juif, qui est assis à la porte du roi; ne néglige rien de tout ce que tu as mentionné.
11 Et Haman prit le vêtement et le cheval, il revêtit Mardochée, il le promena à cheval à travers la place de la ville, et il cria devant lui: C’est ainsi que l’on fait à l’homme que le roi veut honorer!
12 Mardochée retourna à la porte du roi, et Haman se rendit en hâte chez lui, désolé et la tête voilée.
13 Haman raconta à Zéresch, sa femme, et à tous ses amis, tout ce qui lui était arrivé. Et ses sages, et Zéresch, sa femme, lui dirent: Si Mardochée, devant lequel tu as commencé de tomber, est de la race des Juifs, tu ne pourras rien contre lui, mais tu tomberas devant lui.
14 Comme ils lui parlaient encore, les eunuques du roi arrivèrent et conduisirent aussitôt Haman au festin qu’Esther avait préparé.

1 On that night could not the king sleep, and he commanded to bring the book of records of the chronicles; and they were read before the king.
2 And it was found written, that Mordecai had told of Bigthana and Teresh, two of the king’s chamberlains, the keepers of the door, who sought to lay hand on the king Ahasuerus.
3 And the king said, What honour and dignity hath been done to Mordecai for this? Then said the king’s servants that ministered unto him, There is nothing done for him.
4 And the king said, Who is in the court? Now Haman was come into the outward court of the king’s house, to speak unto the king to hang Mordecai on the gallows that he had prepared for him.
5 And the king’s servants said unto him, Behold, Haman standeth in the court. And the king said, Let him come in.
6 So Haman came in. And the king said unto him, What shall be done unto the man whom the king delighteth to honour? Now Haman thought in his heart, To whom would the king delight to do honour more than to myself?
7 And Haman answered the king, For the man whom the king delighteth to honour,
8 Let the royal apparel be brought which the king useth to wear, and the horse that the king rideth upon, and the crown royal which is set upon his head:
9 And let this apparel and horse be delivered to the hand of one of the king’s most noble princes, that they may array the man withal whom the king delighteth to honour, and bring him on horseback through the street of the city, and proclaim before him, Thus shall it be done to the man whom the king delighteth to honour.
10 Then the king said to Haman, Make haste, and take the apparel and the horse, as thou hast said, and do even so to Mordecai the Jew, that sitteth at the king’s gate: let nothing fail of all that thou hast spoken.
11 Then took Haman the apparel and the horse, and arrayed Mordecai, and brought him on horseback through the street of the city, and proclaimed before him, Thus shall it be done unto the man whom the king delighteth to honour.
12 And Mordecai came again to the king’s gate. But Haman hasted to his house mourning, and having his head covered.
13 And Haman told Zeresh his wife and all his friends every thing that had befallen him. Then said his wise men and Zeresh his wife unto him, If Mordecai be of the seed of the Jews, before whom thou hast begun to fall, thou shalt not prevail against him, but shalt surely fall before him.
14 And while they were yet talking with him, came the king’s chamberlains, and hasted to bring Haman unto the banquet that Esther had prepared.
