1 Timote 1
1 Pou konmanse, m’ap mande pou nou lapriyè Bondye pou tout moun. Fè l’ tout kalite demann pou yo, mande l’ padon pou yo, di l’ mèsi pou yo.
2 Se pou nou lapriyè pou chèf yo ak tout lòt moun ki gen otorite nan men yo, pou nou ka viv trankil ak kè poze nan sèvis Bondye a, ak yon konpòtman ki respektab sou tout pwen.
3 Se bagay konsa ki byen, ki fè Bondye, Sovè nou an, plezi.
4 Li ta renmen wè tout moun sove, li ta renmen wè tout moun rive konn verite a.
5 Se yon sèl Bondye a ki genyen. Se yon sèl moun tou ki mete lèzòm dakò ak Bondye ankò, se Jezi, Kris la.
6 Se li menm ki te asepte mouri pou tout moun ka sove. Se prèv sa a Bondye te bay, lè lè a te rive pou moutre jan li ta renmen wè tout moun sove.
7 Se poutèt sa, li voye m’ kòm apòt pou m’ anonse moun ki pa jwif yo nouvèl la, pou m’ moutre yo tout bagay, pou yo ka rive gen konfyans nan Bondye, pou yo ka konnen verite a. Sa m’ap di la a, se vre wi. Mwen p’ap bay manti.
8 Wi, mwen vle pou moun k’ap viv pou Bondye toupatou yo ka leve men yo anlè devan l’ pou yo lapriyè san yo pa nan fè kòlè ni nan chache kont ak pesonn.
9 Mwen ta renmen tou pou medam yo abiye yon jan ki kòrèk, tou senp, san fè endesans. Yo pa bezwen nan fè gwo kwafi, mete gwo bijou lò ak bèl grenn pèl ni rad ki koute chè sou yo.
10 Oneman ki bon pou yon fanm ki di l’ap sèvi Bondye se fè sa ki byen.
11 Se pou fanm yo rete san pale, avèk soumisyon, lè y’ap resevwa enstriksyon.
12 Mwen pa bay fanm yo dwa moutre pesonn anyen. Yo pa gen okenn otorite sou gason. Se pou yo rete byen trankil.
13 Paske, se Adan Bondye te kreye anvan. Se apre li te fè Ev.
14 Se pa t’ Adan Satan te twonpe, se fanm lan li te twonpe, se fanm lan ki te dezobeyi lòd Bondye.
15 Men, yon fanm va delivre lè la fè pitit, si l’ kenbe fèm nan konfyans li, nan renmen, nan lavi l’ap mennen apa pou Bondye a, si l’ rete tou senp.

1 J’exhorte donc, avant toutes choses, à faire des prières, des supplications, des requêtes, des actions de grâces, pour tous les hommes,
2 pour les rois et pour tous ceux qui sont élevés en dignité, afin que nous menions une vie paisible et tranquille, en toute piété et honnêteté.
3 Cela est bon et agréable devant Dieu notre Sauveur,
4 qui veut que tous les hommes soient sauvés et parviennent à la connaissance de la vérité.
5 Car il y a un seul Dieu, et aussi un seul médiateur entre Dieu et les hommes, Jésus Christ homme,
6 qui s’est donné lui-même en rançon pour tous. C’est là le témoignage rendu en son propre temps,
7 et pour lequel j’ai été établi prédicateur et apôtre, -je dis la vérité, je ne mens pas, -chargé d’instruire les païens dans la foi et la vérité.
8 Je veux donc que les hommes prient en tout lieu, en élevant des mains pures, sans colère ni mauvaises pensées.
9 Je veux aussi que les femmes, vêtues d’une manière décente, avec pudeur et modestie, ne se parent ni de tresses, ni d’or, ni de perles, ni d’habits somptueux,
10 mais qu’elles se parent de bonnes oeuvres, comme il convient à des femmes qui font profession de servir Dieu.
11 Que la femme écoute l’instruction en silence, avec une entière soumission.
12 Je ne permets pas à la femme d’enseigner, ni de prendre de l’autorité sur l’homme; mais elle doit demeurer dans le silence.
13 Car Adam a été formé le premier, Eve ensuite;
14 et ce n’est pas Adam qui a été séduit, c’est la femme qui, séduite, s’est rendue coupable de transgression.
15 Elle sera néanmoins sauvée en devenant mère, si elle persévère avec modestie dans la foi, dans la charité, et dans la sainteté.

1 Timothy 1
1 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;
2 For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.
3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;
4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.
5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
6 Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.
7 Whereunto I am ordained a preacher, and an apostle, (I speak the truth in Christ, and lie not;) a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and verity.
8 I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.
9 In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array;
10 But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works.
11 Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection.
12 But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.
13 For Adam was first formed, then Eve.
14 And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.
15 Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety.
