2 Tesalonisyen
1 Ann konsidere lè Jezikri, Seyè nou an, va parèt pou l’ sanble nou ansanm bò kote li. Frè m’ yo, men sa m’ap mande nou:
2 Pa kite pesonn twouble lespri nou fasil, ni fè nou pèdi tèt nou ak ankenn mesaj ki swadizan soti nan Bondye, ni ak ankenn bèl diskou, ni ak ankenn lèt mwen ta swadizan ekri nou, pou yo fè nou kwè jou Seyè a rive deja.
3 Pa kite pesonn twonpe nou nan ankenn jan. Paske, anvan jou sa a rive, gen yon dènye revòlt kont Bondye ki pou fèt. Nou gen pou nou wè mechan ki deja kondannen pou disparèt la vini anvan.
4 Mechan sa a ap kanpe, l’ap pran pozisyon kont tout bagay lèzòm ap sèvi, kont tout bagay lèzòm konsidere pou Bondye. La fè, la fè, jouk la antre nan tanp Bondye a, la chita, la fè tèt li pase pou Bondye.
5 Nou pa chonje mwen te di nou sa lè m’ te lakay nou toujou?
6 Men, gen yon bagay k’ap anpeche levènman sa yo rive koulye a. Nou konnen kisa li ye: Se sak fè, mechan an p’ap parèt anvan lè li.
7 Wi, pouvwa mechan an deja ap travay anba chal. Men, anvan pou levènman sa yo rive, se pou moun k’ap ba l’ baryè a disparèt.
8 Lè sa a, mechan an va parèt. Seyè Jezi va soufle ak bouch li sou li, la touye li. L’ap annik parèt nan tout pouvwa li pou l’ fini nèt ak li.
9 Mechan an va vini ak tout pouvwa Satan an. Li va fè anpil mirak, anpil mèvèy ak anpil gwo siy pou bay manti.
10 Li va fè tout kalite bagay mal pou twonpe moun k’ap pèdi tèt yo. Y’ap pèdi tèt yo paske yo pa asepte verite ki pou ta sove yo a, yo pa renmen li.
11 Se poutèt sa, Bondye ap voye yon pouvwa k’ap travay pou egare yo pi rèd, pou yo sa kwè nan manti.
12 Konsa, tout moun ki p’ap kwè nan verite a, ki te pran plezi yo nan fè lenjistis, yo tout pral kondannen.
13 Se yon devwa pou mwen pou m’ pa janm sispann di Bondye mèsi pou nou, frè m’ yo, nou menm Seyè a renmen. Paske, Bondye chwazi nou pou nou ka premye moun ki pou delivre, gremesi pouvwa Sentespri ki fè nou tounen moun pa l’, paske nou kwè nan verite a.
14 Gremesi bon nouvèl mwen te anonse nou an, Bondye chwazi nou pou nou ka resevwa pa nou nan lwanj ki pou Jezikri, Seyè nou an.
15 Se sa ki fè, frè m’ yo, se pou nou kenbe fèm. Pa bliye tou sa nou te aprann nan bouch mwen ak nan lèt mwen an.
16 M’ap lapriyè Jezikri, Seyè nou an, ansanm ak Bondye, Papa nou ki renmen nou, ki fè nou favè, ki ban nou yon kouraj ki p’ap janm febli ansanm ak yon bèl espwa.
17 M’ap mande yo pou yo fòtifye kè nou, pou yo ban nou fòs kouraj pou nou fè tou sa ki byen, pou nou di tou sa ki byen.

1 Pour ce qui concerne l’avènement de notre Seigneur Jésus Christ et notre réunion avec lui, nous vous prions, frères,
2 de ne pas vous laisser facilement ébranler dans votre bon sens, et de ne pas vous laisser troubler, soit par quelque inspiration, soit par quelque parole, ou par quelque lettre qu’on dirait venir de nous, comme si le jour du Seigneur était déjà là.
3 Que personne ne vous séduise d’aucune manière; car il faut que l’apostasie soit arrivée auparavant, et qu’on ait vu paraître l’homme du péché, le fils de la perdition,
4 l’adversaire qui s’élève au-dessus de tout ce qu’on appelle Dieu ou de ce qu’on adore, jusqu’à s’asseoir dans le temple de Dieu, se proclamant lui-même Dieu.
5 Ne vous souvenez-vous pas que je vous disais ces choses, lorsque j’étais encore chez vous?
6 Et maintenant vous savez ce qui le retient, afin qu’il ne paraisse qu’en son temps.
7 Car le mystère de l’iniquité agit déjà; il faut seulement que celui qui le retient encore ait disparu.
8 Et alors paraîtra l’impie, que le Seigneur Jésus détruira par le souffle de sa bouche, et qu’il anéantira par l’éclat de son avènement.
9 L’apparition de cet impie se fera, par la puissance de Satan, avec toutes sortes de miracles, de signes et de prodiges mensongers,
10 et avec toutes les séductions de l’iniquité pour ceux qui périssent parce qu’ils n’ont pas reçu l’amour de la vérité pour être sauvés.
11 Aussi Dieu leur envoie une puissance d’égarement, pour qu’ils croient au mensonge,
12 afin que tous ceux qui n’ont pas cru à la vérité, mais qui ont pris plaisir à l’injustice, soient condamnés.
13 Pour nous, frères bien-aimés du Seigneur, nous devons à votre sujet rendre continuellement grâces à Dieu, parce que Dieu vous a choisis dès le commencement pour le salut, par la sanctification de l’Esprit et par la foi en la vérité.
14 C’est à quoi il vous a appelés par notre Évangile, pour que vous possédiez la gloire de notre Seigneur Jésus Christ.
15 Ainsi donc, frères, demeurez fermes, et retenez les instructions que vous avez reçues, soit par notre parole, soit par notre lettre.
16 Que notre Seigneur Jésus Christ lui-même, et Dieu notre Père, qui nous a aimés, et qui nous a donné par sa grâce une consolation éternelle et une bonne espérance,
17 consolent vos coeurs, et vous affermissent en toute bonne oeuvre et en toute bonne parole!

1 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him,
2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.
3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
5 Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?
6 And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time.
7 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.
8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:
9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,
10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
13 But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:
14 Whereunto he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.
15 Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle.
16 Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God, even our Father, which hath loved us, and hath given us everlasting consolation and good hope through grace,
17 Comfort your hearts, and stablish you in every good word and work.
