Sòm 76
1 Pou chèf sanba yo. Se sou enstriman akòd pou yo jwe mizik la. Sòm Asaf sa a, se yon chante li ye. Yo konnen ki moun Bondye ye nan tout peyi Jida. Se tout moun k’ap nonmen non l’ nan peyi Izrayèl.
2 Li gen kay li lavil Salèm, li rete sou mòn Siyon.
3 Se la li te kase flèch yo, se la li te kase zam yo gen pou defann yo, ak zam yo gen pou atake. Wi, li kase tout zam moun sèvi pou fè lagè.
4 Gade jan ou gen pouvwa, Bondye! Gade jan w’ap mache tèt wo, lè w’ap desann soti nan mòn kote ou te kraze lènmi ou yo!
5 Sòlda ki te gen anpil kouraj nan lagè pèdi tout zafè yo. Koulye a y’ap dòmi nèt, yo mouri. Pa gen yonn nan vanyan gason sa yo ki te ka defann tèt yo.
6 Aa, Bondye Jakòb! Depi ou fè va sou yo, ni kavalye ni chwal, yo tout yo tonbe, yo mouri frèt.
7 Men ou menm, ou fè moun respekte ou! Kilès ki ka rete kanpe devan ou lè ou an kòlè?
8 Ou rete nan syèl la, ou fè konnen jan w’ap jije. Tout moun ki sou latè rete dousman tèlman yo pè,
9 lè Bondye leve pou bay santans li, pou l’ delivre tout malere y’ap peze sou tè a.
10 Menm lè lèzòm an kòlè, sa sèvi yon lwanj pou ou. Moun ou sove anba lanmò va fè fèt pou ou.
11 Fè pwomès ou bay Seyè a ki Bondye, epi kenbe pawòl ou. Nou menm, tout nasyon ki bò kote l’ yo, pote kado bay Bondye ki fè moun respekte l’ la.
12 Li kraze lògèy chèf yo, li fè wa latè yo respekte l’.

Psaumes 76
1 Au chef des chantres. Avec instruments à cordes. Psaume d’Asaph. Cantique. Dieu est connu en Juda, Son nom est grand en Israël.
2 Sa tente est à Salem, Et sa demeure à Sion.
3 C’est là qu’il a brisé les flèches, Le bouclier, l’épée et les armes de guerre. -Pause.
4 Tu es plus majestueux, plus puissant Que les montagnes des ravisseurs.
5 Ils ont été dépouillés, ces héros pleins de courage, Ils se sont endormis de leur dernier sommeil; Ils n’ont pas su se défendre, tous ces vaillants hommes.
6 A ta menace, Dieu de Jacob! Ils se sont endormis, cavaliers et chevaux.
7 Tu es redoutable, ô toi! Qui peut te résister, quand ta colère éclate?
8 Du haut des cieux tu as proclamé la sentence; La terre effrayée s’est tenue tranquille,
9 Lorsque Dieu s’est levé pour faire justice, Pour sauver tous les malheureux de la terre. -Pause.
10 L’homme te célèbre même dans sa fureur, Quand tu te revêts de tout ton courroux.
11 Faites des voeux à l’Éternel, votre Dieu, et accomplissez-les! Que tous ceux qui l’environnent apportent des dons au Dieu terrible!
12 Il abat l’orgueil des princes, Il est redoutable aux rois de la terre.

Psalm 76
1 In Judah is God known: his name is great in Israel.
2 In Salem also is his tabernacle, and his dwelling place in Zion.
3 There brake he the arrows of the bow, the shield, and the sword, and the battle. Selah.
4 Thou art more glorious and excellent than the mountains of prey.
5 The stouthearted are spoiled, they have slept their sleep: and none of the men of might have found their hands.
6 At thy rebuke, O God of Jacob, both the chariot and horse are cast into a dead sleep.
7 Thou, even thou, art to be feared: and who may stand in thy sight when once thou art angry?
8 Thou didst cause judgment to be heard from heaven; the earth feared, and was still,
9 When God arose to judgment, to save all the meek of the earth. Selah.
10 Surely the wrath of man shall praise thee: the remainder of wrath shalt thou restrain.
11 Vow, and pay unto the Lord your God: let all that be round about him bring presents unto him that ought to be feared.
12 He shall cut off the spirit of princes: he is terrible to the kings of the earth.
