1 W’a pran Arawon ak pitit li yo: Nadab, Abiyou, Eleaza, Itama, w’a wete yo nan mitan moun Izrayèl yo, w’a fè yo vin jwenn ou. W’a mete yo apa pou yo sèvi m’ prèt.
2 W’a fè rad pou Arawon, frè ou la, rad pou li mete lè l’ap fè sèvis, pou l’ ka byen abiye, pou moun ka rekonèt grad li.
3 W’a pale ak atizan ki konnen metye yo byen. Se mwen menm ki ba yo tout ladrès yo genyen an. W’a mande yo pou yo fè rad Arawon yo, pou ou ka mete l’ apa pou mwen pou l’ ka sèvi m’ prèt.
4 Men ki rad pou yo fè: yon plastwon, yon jile, yon gwo rad long, yon chemiz byen bwode, yon gwo mouchwa pou vlope tèt ak yon sentiwon. y’a fè rad sa yo pou Arawon, frè ou la, ak pou pitit li yo pou yo ka sèvi m’ prèt.
5 Pou fè travay la, atizan yo va sèvi ak lò ak twal siperyè koulè ble, violèt ak wouj ansanm ak twal fen.
6 y’a fè jile a ak lò ak twal siperyè koulè ble, violèt ak wouj ansanm ak twal fen blan tise byen sere. y’a fè bèl bodri byen fèt sou li.
7 Va gen de zèpòlèt, yonn chak bò jile a. Se yo ki pou tache moso devan an ak moso dèyè a ansanm.
8 Bèl sentiwon byen bwode ki pou kenbe jile a va fè yon sèl pyès ak li, ak menm kalite bodri a sou li tou. y’a fè l’ an lò ak twal siperyè koulè ble, violèt ak wouj, ansanm ak twal fen blan tise byen sere.
9 W’a pran de pyè oniks, w’a grave non branch fanmi douz pitit Izrayèl yo sou yo.
10 W’a grave non sis sou yon pyè, ak non sis sou lòt la, dapre laj yo, depi pi gran an jouk pi piti a.
11 Avèk ladrès òfèv ki konn grave non sou bag, ou ankò ladrès atizan ki konn fè so, w’a grave non branch fanmi pèp Izrayèl yo sou de pyè yo, epi w’a moute pyè yo chak sou yon moso lò.
12 W’a moute yo sou de zèpòlèt jile a pou yo pa bliye branch fanmi pèp Izrayèl yo. Konsa, Arawon va pote non yo sou zepòl li pou Seyè a pa janm bliye yo.
13 W’a pran de moso lò pou moute pyè yo sou yo.
14 W’a fè de ti chenn ak pi bon kalite lò ki genyen. Chenn yo va trese tankou ti kòdon. W’a tache yo sou moso lò yo.
15 W’a fè yon plastwon pou yo mete bagay y’a sèvi pou chache konnen sa Bondye vle. Se yon bon atis ki pou fè travay bodri a tankou pou jile a. W’a fè l’ an lò ak twal siperyè koulè ble, violèt ak wouj ansanm ak twal fen blan tise byen sere.
16 Plastwon an va mezire nèf pous kare kare, l’a double.
17 W’a moute kat ranje pyè sou li. Nan premye ranje a, va gen yon pyè woubi, yon pyè topaz ak yon pyè emwòd.
18 Nan dezyèm ranje a, va gen yon pyè malachi, yon pyè safi ak yon pyè dyaman.
19 Nan twazyèm ranje a, va gen yon pyè opal, yon pyè agat ak yon pyè ametis.
20 Nan katriyèm ranje a, va gen yon pyè krizolit, yon pyè oniks ak yon pyè jasp. y’a moute tout pyè sa yo chak sou yon moso lò.
21 Va gen douz pyè ak non branch fanmi pèp Izrayèl yo grave sou yo, yon non sou chak pyè. y’a grave non yo tankou lè òfèv ap grave bag.
22 W’a pran pi bon kalite lò ki genyen, w’a fè de ti chenn pou plastwon an. W’a trese yo tankou ti kòdon.
23 W’a fè de ti bag an lò, w’a tache yo nan de bout anwo plastwon an.
24 W’a mare de ti chenn yo nan de bag yo.
25 W’a pran de lòt bout chenn yo, w’a fè yo pase pa devan jile a, w’a tache yo sou de moso lò ki sou zèpòlèt jile a.
26 W’a fè ankò de lòt bag an lò, w’a tache yo nan de bout anba plastwon an sou lanvè, nan bòdi a toupre jile a.
27 W’a fè de lòt bag an lò ankò, w’a tache yo anba zèpòlèt jile a pa devan, toupre kouti a anwo tèt sentiwon bwode a.
28 y’a mare de bag plastwon an ak de bag jile a ansanm ak yon kòdon ble pou plastwon an bat sou sentiwon jile a. Konsa, plastwon an p’ap ka soti detache sou jile a.
29 Lè Arawon va antre nan kote ki apa pou Bondye a, l’a pote non branch fanmi pèp Izrayèl yo sou kè l’, sou plastwon an, konsa Seyè a p’ap janm bliye yo.
30 W’a mete nan plastwon an ourim yo ak toumim yo. Konsa, Arawon va pote yo sou kè l’ lè l’ap parèt devan lòtèl Seyè a. Lè l’a kanpe devan lòtèl Seyè a, l’a toujou pote sou kè l’ sa li sèvi pou fè pèp Izrayèl la konnen volonte m’.
31 W’a pran twal ble pou fè rad ki ale anba jile a.
32 Nan mitan rad la, w’a fè yon twou pou l’ pase tèt li. W’a mete yon doubli nan ankoli a, tankou yo fè l’ pou varèz an po bèt yo, pou li pa chire.
33 Sou tout woulèt anba rad la, w’a pran twal ble, violèt ak wouj, w’a fè bodri an fòm grenad ak ti klòch an lò nan mitan yo.
34 Sou tout woulèt rad la va gen yon grenad, yon ti klòch, yon grenad, yon ti klòch, jouk yo fè tout tou rad la.
35 Se rad sa a Arawon va mete sou li lè li pral fè sèvis. Lè l’ap antre kote yo mete apa pou Bondye a pou l’ parèt devan lòtèl Seyè a, ansanm ak lè l’ap soti, y’a tande ti klòch yo ap sonnen. Konsa li p’ap mouri.
36 W’a fè fè yon ti plak ak pi bon kalite lò ki genyen. Tankou lè y’ap fè so, w’a grave pawòl sa a sou li: Apa pou Seyè a.
37 W’a mare l’ sou devan mouchwa tèt la avèk yon ti kòdon ble.
38 Arawon va mete l’ sou fwon li, konsa Arawon va pran sou tèt li tou sa pèp Izrayèl la va fè ki mal lè y’ap pote ofrann apa yo bay Seyè a. Arawon va toujou pote l’ sou fwon li pou ofrann yo ka toujou fè Seyè a plezi.
39 W’a fè chemiz la ak mouchwa tèt la ak twal fen blan, ansanm ak yon sentiwon bwode byen bèl.
40 W’a fè rad, sentiwon ak bonnèt pou pitit gason Arawon yo tou, pou yo ka byen abiye pou moun ka rekonèt grad yo.
41 Apre sa, w’a mete rad yo sou Arawon, frè ou la, ansanm ak pitit gason l’ yo. Lèfini, w’a vide lwil sou tèt yo, w’a ba yo pouvwa pou yo fè sèvis Bondye. W’a mete yo apa pou mwen pou yo ka sèvi m’ prèt.
42 W’a fè kalson ak twal fen pou yo pou kò yo pa parèt anba rad la. Kalson yo va pran depi nan ren desann wotè jenou yo.
43 Se pou Arawon ak pitit gason l’ yo toujou pote kalson yo lè y’ap antre nan Tant Randevou a, osinon lè y’ap pwoche bò lòtèl la pou fè sèvis nan kote ki apa pou Bondye a. Konsa, yo p’ap fè sa ki mal, yo p’ap mouri. Sa se yon lwa k’ap la pou tout tan pou Arawon ak tout pitit pitit gason li yo apre li.

Exode 28
1 Fais approcher de toi Aaron, ton frère, et ses fils, et prends-les parmi les enfants d’Israël pour les consacrer à mon service dans le sacerdoce: Aaron et les fils d’Aaron, Nadab, Abihu, Éléazar et Ithamar.
2 Tu feras à Aaron, ton frère, des vêtements sacrés, pour marquer sa dignité et pour lui servir de parure.
3 Tu parleras à tous ceux qui sont habiles, à qui j’ai donné un esprit plein d’intelligence; et ils feront les vêtements d’Aaron, afin qu’il soit consacré et qu’il exerce mon sacerdoce.
4 Voici les vêtements qu’ils feront: un pectoral, un éphod, une robe, une tunique brodée, une tiare, et une ceinture. Ils feront des vêtements sacrés à Aaron, ton frère, et à ses fils, afin qu’ils exercent mon sacerdoce.
5 Ils emploieront de l’or, des étoffes teintes en bleu, en pourpre, en cramoisi, et de fin lin.
6 Ils feront l’éphod d’or, de fil bleu, pourpre et cramoisi, et de fin lin retors; il sera artistement travaillé.
7 On y fera deux épaulettes, qui le joindront par ses deux extrémités; et c’est ainsi qu’il sera joint.
8 La ceinture sera du même travail que l’éphod et fixée sur lui; elle sera d’or, de fil bleu, pourpre et cramoisi, et de fin lin retors.
9 Tu prendras deux pierres d’onyx, et tu y graveras les noms des fils d’Israël,
10 six de leurs noms sur une pierre, et les six autres sur la seconde pierre, d’après l’ordre des naissances.
11 Tu graveras sur les deux pierres les noms des fils d’Israël, comme on grave les pierres et les cachets; tu les entoureras de montures d’or.
12 Tu mettras les deux pierres sur les épaulettes de l’éphod, en souvenir des fils d’Israël; et c’est comme souvenir qu’Aaron portera leurs noms devant l’Éternel sur ses deux épaules.
13 Tu feras des montures d’or,
14 et deux chaînettes d’or pur, que tu tresseras en forme de cordons; et tu fixeras aux montures les chaînettes ainsi tressées.
15 Tu feras le pectoral du jugement, artistement travaillé; tu le feras du même travail que l’éphod, tu le feras d’or, de fil bleu, pourpre et cramoisi, et de fin lin retors.
16 Il sera carré et double; sa longueur sera d’un empan, et sa largeur d’un empan.
17 Tu y enchâsseras une garniture de pierres, quatre rangées de pierres: première rangée, une sardoine, une topaze, une émeraude;
18 seconde rangée, une escarboucle, un saphir, un diamant;
19 troisième rangée, une opale, une agate, une améthyste;
20 quatrième rangée, une chrysolithe, un onyx, un jaspe. Ces pierres seront enchâssées dans leurs montures d’or.
21 Il y en aura douze, d’après les noms des fils d’Israël; elles seront gravées comme des cachets, chacune avec le nom de l’une des douze tribus. –
22 Tu feras sur le pectoral des chaînettes d’or pur, tressées en forme de cordons.
23 Tu feras sur le pectoral deux anneaux d’or, et tu mettras ces deux anneaux aux deux extrémités du pectoral.
24 Tu passeras les deux cordons d’or dans les deux anneaux aux deux extrémités du pectoral;
25 et tu arrêteras par devant les bouts des deux cordons aux deux montures placées sur les épaulettes de l’éphod.
26 Tu feras encore deux anneaux d’or, que tu mettras aux deux extrémités du pectoral, sur le bord intérieur appliqué contre l’éphod.
27 Et tu feras deux autres anneaux d’or, que tu mettras au bas des deux épaulettes de l’éphod, sur le devant, près de la jointure, au-dessus de la ceinture de l’éphod.
28 On attachera le pectoral par ses anneaux de l’éphod avec un cordon bleu, afin que le pectoral soit au-dessus de la ceinture de l’éphod et qu’il ne puisse pas se séparer de l’éphod.
29 Lorsque Aaron entrera dans le sanctuaire, il portera sur son coeur les noms des fils d’Israël, gravés sur le pectoral du jugement, pour en conserver à toujours le souvenir devant l’Éternel. –
30 Tu joindras au pectoral du jugement l’urim et le thummim, et ils seront sur le coeur d’Aaron, lorsqu’il se présentera devant l’Éternel. Ainsi, Aaron portera constamment sur son coeur le jugement des enfants d’Israël, lorsqu’il se présentera devant l’Éternel.
31 Tu feras la robe de l’éphod entièrement d’étoffe bleue.
32 Il y aura, au milieu, une ouverture pour la tête; et cette ouverture aura tout autour un bord tissé, comme l’ouverture d’une cotte de mailles, afin que la robe ne se déchire pas.
33 Tu mettras autour de la bordure, en bas, des grenades de couleur bleue, pourpre et cramoisie, entremêlées de clochettes d’or:
34 une clochette d’or et une grenade, une clochette d’or et une grenade, sur tout le tour de la bordure de la robe.
35 Aaron s’en revêtira pour faire le service; quand il entrera dans le sanctuaire devant l’Éternel, et quand il en sortira, on entendra le son des clochettes, et il ne mourra point.
36 Tu feras une lame d’or pur, et tu y graveras, comme on grave un cachet: Sainteté à l’Éternel.
37 Tu l’attacheras avec un cordon bleu sur la tiare, sur le devant de la tiare.
38 Elle sera sur le front d’Aaron; et Aaron sera chargé des iniquités commises par les enfants d’Israël en faisant toutes leurs saintes offrandes; elle sera constamment sur son front devant l’Éternel, pour qu’il leur soit favorable.
39 Tu feras la tunique de fin lin; tu feras une tiare de fin lin, et tu feras une ceinture brodée.
40 Pour les fils d’Aaron tu feras des tuniques, tu leur feras des ceintures, et tu leur feras des bonnets, pour marquer leur dignité et pour leur servir de parure.
41 Tu en revêtiras Aaron, ton frère, et ses fils avec lui. Tu les oindras, tu les consacreras, tu les sanctifieras, et ils seront à mon service dans le sacerdoce.
42 Fais-leur des caleçons de lin, pour couvrir leur nudité; ils iront depuis les reins jusqu’aux cuisses.
43 Aaron et ses fils les porteront, quand ils entreront dans la tente d’assignation, ou quand ils s’approcheront de l’autel, pour faire le service dans le sanctuaire; ainsi ils ne se rendront point coupables, et ne mourront point. C’est une loi perpétuelle pour Aaron et pour ses descendants après lui.

1 And take thou unto thee Aaron thy brother, and his sons with him, from among the children of Israel, that he may minister unto me in the priest’s office, even Aaron, Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar, Aaron’s sons.
2 And thou shalt make holy garments for Aaron thy brother for glory and for beauty.
3 And thou shalt speak unto all that are wise hearted, whom I have filled with the spirit of wisdom, that they may make Aaron’s garments to consecrate him, that he may minister unto me in the priest’s office.
4 And these are the garments which they shall make; a breastplate, and an ephod, and a robe, and a broidered coat, a mitre, and a girdle: and they shall make holy garments for Aaron thy brother, and his sons, that he may minister unto me in the priest’s office.
5 And they shall take gold, and blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine linen.
6 And they shall make the ephod of gold, of blue, and of purple, of scarlet, and fine twined linen, with cunning work.
7 It shall have the two shoulderpieces thereof joined at the two edges thereof; and so it shall be joined together.
8 And the curious girdle of the ephod, which is upon it, shall be of the same, according to the work thereof; even of gold, of blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen.
9 And thou shalt take two onyx stones, and grave on them the names of the children of Israel:
10 Six of their names on one stone, and the other six names of the rest on the other stone, according to their birth.
11 With the work of an engraver in stone, like the engravings of a signet, shalt thou engrave the two stones with the names of the children of Israel: thou shalt make them to be set in ouches of gold.
12 And thou shalt put the two stones upon the shoulders of the ephod for stones of memorial unto the children of Israel: and Aaron shall bear their names before the Lord upon his two shoulders for a memorial.
13 And thou shalt make ouches of gold;
14 And two chains of pure gold at the ends; of wreathen work shalt thou make them, and fasten the wreathen chains to the ouches.
15 And thou shalt make the breastplate of judgment with cunning work; after the work of the ephod thou shalt make it; of gold, of blue, and of purple, and of scarlet, and of fine twined linen, shalt thou make it.
16 Foursquare it shall be being doubled; a span shall be the length thereof, and a span shall be the breadth thereof.
17 And thou shalt set in it settings of stones, even four rows of stones: the first row shall be a sardius, a topaz, and a carbuncle: this shall be the first row.
18 And the second row shall be an emerald, a sapphire, and a diamond.
19 And the third row a ligure, an agate, and an amethyst.
20 And the fourth row a beryl, and an onyx, and a jasper: they shall be set in gold in their inclosings.
21 And the stones shall be with the names of the children of Israel, twelve, according to their names, like the engravings of a signet; every one with his name shall they be according to the twelve tribes.
22 And thou shalt make upon the breastplate chains at the ends of wreathen work of pure gold.
23 And thou shalt make upon the breastplate two rings of gold, and shalt put the two rings on the two ends of the breastplate.
24 And thou shalt put the two wreathen chains of gold in the two rings which are on the ends of the breastplate.
25 And the other two ends of the two wreathen chains thou shalt fasten in the two ouches, and put them on the shoulderpieces of the ephod before it.
26 And thou shalt make two rings of gold, and thou shalt put them upon the two ends of the breastplate in the border thereof, which is in the side of the ephod inward.
27 And two other rings of gold thou shalt make, and shalt put them on the two sides of the ephod underneath, toward the forepart thereof, over against the other coupling thereof, above the curious girdle of the ephod.
28 And they shall bind the breastplate by the rings thereof unto the rings of the ephod with a lace of blue, that it may be above the curious girdle of the ephod, and that the breastplate be not loosed from the ephod.
29 And Aaron shall bear the names of the children of Israel in the breastplate of judgment upon his heart, when he goeth in unto the holy place, for a memorial before the Lord continually.
30 And thou shalt put in the breastplate of judgment the Urim and the Thummim; and they shall be upon Aaron’s heart, when he goeth in before the Lord: and Aaron shall bear the judgment of the children of Israel upon his heart before the Lord continually.
31 And thou shalt make the robe of the ephod all of blue.
32 And there shall be an hole in the top of it, in the midst thereof: it shall have a binding of woven work round about the hole of it, as it were the hole of an habergeon, that it be not rent.
33 And beneath upon the hem of it thou shalt make pomegranates of blue, and of purple, and of scarlet, round about the hem thereof; and bells of gold between them round about:
34 A golden bell and a pomegranate, a golden bell and a pomegranate, upon the hem of the robe round about.
35 And it shall be upon Aaron to minister: and his sound shall be heard when he goeth in unto the holy place before the Lord, and when he cometh out, that he die not.
36 And thou shalt make a plate of pure gold, and grave upon it, like the engravings of a signet, Holiness To The Lord.
37 And thou shalt put it on a blue lace, that it may be upon the mitre; upon the forefront of the mitre it shall be.
38 And it shall be upon Aaron’s forehead, that Aaron may bear the iniquity of the holy things, which the children of Israel shall hallow in all their holy gifts; and it shall be always upon his forehead, that they may be accepted before the Lord.
39 And thou shalt embroider the coat of fine linen, and thou shalt make the mitre of fine linen, and thou shalt make the girdle of needlework.
40 And for Aaron’s sons thou shalt make coats, and thou shalt make for them girdles, and bonnets shalt thou make for them, for glory and for beauty.
41 And thou shalt put them upon Aaron thy brother, and his sons with him; and shalt anoint them, and consecrate them, and sanctify them, that they may minister unto me in the priest’s office.
42 And thou shalt make them linen breeches to cover their nakedness; from the loins even unto the thighs they shall reach:
43 And they shall be upon Aaron, and upon his sons, when they come in unto the tabernacle of the congregation, or when they come near unto the altar to minister in the holy place; that they bear not iniquity, and die: it shall be a statute for ever unto him and his seed after him.
