Sòm 21
1 Pou chèf sanba yo. Se yon sòm David. Wa a kontan, Seyè, dèske ou te ba li fòs kouraj. Wa a kontan nèt dèske ou fè l’ genyen batay la.
2 Ou ba li tou sa l’ te renmen. Ou pa t’ refize l’ sa l’ te mande ou.
3 Ou vin bò kote l’ avèk anpil benediksyon, ou mete yon kouwòn fèt ak bon lò sou tèt li.
4 Li mande ou lavi, ou ba li l’. Ou ba l’ yon lavi ki long, yon lavi ki p’ap janm fini.
5 Y’ap fè gwo lwanj pou li, paske ou ede l’, ou fè yo respekte l’, ou ba li bèl pozisyon,
6 Ou mete benediksyon ou sou li pou tout tan. Ou fè kè l’ kontan paske ou la avè l’.
7 Wa a mete konfyans li nan Seyè a. Gremesi Bondye ki anwo nan syèl la, wa a la pou tout tan.
8 Wa a ap mete men l’ sou tout lènmi l’ yo, l’ap mache pran tout moun ki pa vle wè l’ yo.
9 Lè w’a parèt, w’ap detwi yo tankou yon gwo boukan dife. Lè Seyè a ankòlè, se fini l’ap fini ak yo, dife ap boule yo nèt.
10 W’ap disparèt tout pitit yo sou latè, w’ap disparèt tout ras yo pami lèzòm.
11 Y’ap fè move plan, y’ap fè konplo sou wa a, men sa p’ap mache pou yo.
12 L’ap tire flèch li sou yo, l’ap fè yo kouri ale.
13 Seyè, leve non. Fè yo wè fòs ou! N’a chante, n’a fè lwanj pou jan ou gen pouvwa!

Psaumes 21
1 Au chef des chantres. Psaume de David. (21:2) Éternel! le roi se réjouit de ta protection puissante. Oh! comme ton secours le remplit d’allégresse!
2 Tu lui as donné ce que désirait son coeur, Et tu n’as pas refusé ce que demandaient ses lèvres. -Pause.
3 Car tu l’as prévenu par les bénédictions de ta grâce, Tu as mis sur sa tête une couronne d’or pur.
4 Il te demandait la vie, tu la lui as donnée, Une vie longue pour toujours et à perpétuité.
5 Sa gloire est grande à cause de ton secours; Tu places sur lui l’éclat et la magnificence.
6 Tu le rends à jamais un objet de bénédictions, Tu le combles de joie devant ta face.
7 Le roi se confie en l’Éternel; Et, par la bonté du Très Haut, il ne chancelle pas.
8 Ta main trouvera tous tes ennemis, Ta droite trouvera ceux qui te haïssent.
9 Tu les rendras tels qu’une fournaise ardente, Le jour où tu te montreras; L’Éternel les anéantira dans sa colère, Et le feu les dévorera.
10 Tu feras disparaître leur postérité de la terre, Et leur race du milieu des fils de l’homme.
11 Ils ont projeté du mal contre toi, Ils ont conçu de mauvais desseins, mais ils seront impuissants.
12 Car tu leur feras tourner le dos, Et avec ton arc tu tireras sur eux.
13 Lève-toi, Éternel, avec ta force! Nous voulons chanter, célébrer ta puissance.

Psalm 21
The king shall joy in thy strength, O Lord; and in thy salvation how greatly shall he rejoice!
2 Thou hast given him his heart’s desire, and hast not withholden the request of his lips. Selah.
3 For thou preventest him with the blessings of goodness: thou settest a crown of pure gold on his head.
4 He asked life of thee, and thou gavest it him, even length of days for ever and ever.
5 His glory is great in thy salvation: honour and majesty hast thou laid upon him.
6 For thou hast made him most blessed for ever: thou hast made him exceeding glad with thy countenance.
7 For the king trusteth in the Lord, and through the mercy of the most High he shall not be moved.
8 Thine hand shall find out all thine enemies: thy right hand shall find out those that hate thee.
9 Thou shalt make them as a fiery oven in the time of thine anger: the Lord shall swallow them up in his wrath, and the fire shall devour them.
10 Their fruit shalt thou destroy from the earth, and their seed from among the children of men.
11 For they intended evil against thee: they imagined a mischievous device, which they are not able to perform.
12 Therefore shalt thou make them turn their back, when thou shalt make ready thine arrows upon thy strings against the face of them.
13 Be thou exalted, Lord, in thine own strength: so will we sing and praise thy power.
