Deteronòm 11
1 Se pou nou renmen Seyè a, Bondye nou an. Se pou nou toujou kenbe lòd, prensip ak kòmandman li ban nou yo.
2 Se pou nou rekonèt jòdi a tou sa Seyè a te moutre nou. Nou te wè jan li gen pouvwa, jan li gen fòs, jan li gen kouraj. Se nou menm ki te viv tout bagay sa yo, se pa t’ pitit nou yo. Yo menm yo pa t’ konn anyen, ni yo pa t’ wè anyen.
3 Seyè a te fè nou wè mirak ak gwo mèvèy li te fè nan mitan peyi Lejip, pou li te fini ak farawon an ansanm ak tout moun nan peyi a.
4 Nou te wè kisa li te fè lame Lejip la ak tout chwal yo ak tout cha yo, ki jan li te fè dlo lanmè Wouj la kouvri yo, lè yo t’ap rapouswiv nou an. Seyè a te kraze yo nèt.
5 Nou konnen sa li te fè pou nou tout tan nou te nan dezè a jouk nou rive isit la.
6 Chonje sa li te fè Datan ak Abiram, pitit Eliyab, moun fanmi Woubenn yo. Tè a te fann, li vale yo tou vivan ansanm ak tout fanmi yo, tout tant yo ak tout moun ki te avèk yo, devan je tout pèp Izrayèl la.
7 Se nou menm ki te wè ak je nou tout gwo mèvèy sa yo Seyè a te fè.
8 Se pou nou mache dapre lòd m’ap ban nou jòdi a, pou nou ka vin fò, pou nou ka pran peyi nou pral anvayi a pou nou,
9 pou nou ka viv lontan nan peyi Seyè a te fè sèman l’ap bay zansèt nou yo pou yo menm ak tout ras yo, nan peyi kote lèt ak siwo myèl ap koule tankou dlo.
10 Peyi nou pral anvayi pou nou pran pou nou an pa yon peyi ki tankou peyi Lejip kote nou soti a, yon peyi kote se nou menm ki te blije simen grenn nan jaden nou, lèfini pou nou te travay di pou nou wouze yo tankou yo wouze jaden legim.
11 Non! Peyi nou pral anvayi pou nou pran pou nou an, se yon peyi ki gen anpil mòn ak anpil fon, yon peyi lapli soti nan syèl wouze tout tan.
12 Se yon peyi Seyè a, Bondye nou an, ap pran swen, yon peyi l’ap veye pou anyen pa rive l’ depi premye jou nan lanne a rive dènye jou a.
13 Nou mèt sèten, si nou mache dapre kòmandman mwen ban nou jòdi a, si nou renmen Seyè a, Bondye nou an, si nou sèvi l’ ak tout kè nou ak tout nanm nou,
14 m’a voye lapli sou tè nou lè n’a bezwen l’, m’a bay lapli nan sezon plante ak nan sezon rekòt pou nou ka gen anpil manje, anpil diven ak anpil lwil.
15 M’a fè anpil zèb pouse nan savann nou yo pou bèt nou manje. Konsa, n’a jwenn manje pou nou manje plen vant nou.
16 Fè atansyon pou nou pa pèdi tèt nou, pou nou pa kite chemen ki devan nou an pou n’ al sèvi lòt bondye, pou n’ al adore yo.
17 Si nou kite sa rive nou, Seyè a va fache anpil sou nou, li p’ap voye lapli. Si pa gen lapli, tè a p’ap bay sa pou l’ te bay la. Nou tout n’ap mouri byen vit nan bon peyi Seyè a ban nou an.
18 Fè pawòl m’ap di nou la a antre nan tèt nou pou nou pa janm bliye yo! Mare yo sou ponyèt nou ak sou fwon nou pou nou ka toujou chonje yo.
19 N’a moutre yo bay timoun nou yo, n’a repete yo nan zòrèy yo, nou te mèt lakay nou, nou te mèt ap mache granchemen, nou te mèt kouche nan kabann nou, nou te mèt kanpe ap travay.
20 Ekri yo sou chanbrann pòt lakay nou ak sou pòtay lavil nou yo,
21 pou nou ka viv lontan, nou menm ansanm ak tout ras nou yo, nan peyi Seyè a te fè sèman l’ap bay zansèt nou yo toutotan va gen yon syèl anwo tè a.
22 Si nou swiv pwen pa pwen tout kòmandman mwen ban nou lòd pou nou swiv yo, si nou renmen Seyè a, Bondye nou an, si nou mache sou chemen li mete devan nou an, si nou pa janm lage l’,
23 Seyè a va mete tout nasyon sa yo deyò devan nou pou nou ka pran plas yo. N’a pran pou nou peyi yon bann nasyon ki gen plis moun pase nou, ki pi fò pase nou.
24 Tout kote pye nou va pile, se pou nou la ye. N’a gen dezè a pou lizyè sou anba, peyi Liban an sou anwo. N’a gen gwo larivyè Lefrat la yon bò ak lanmè Mediterane a sou bò solèy kouche.
25 Pesonn p’ap ka kanpe devan nou pou rete nou sou kous nou. Kote nou pase, Seyè a, Bondye nou an, pral fè moun peyi a pè nou, yo pral kouri pou nou jan li te pwomèt nou li a.
26 Jòdi a, mwen mete benediksyon ak madichon devan nou. Se nou ki pou chwazi.
27 Se va benediksyon pou nou si nou swiv tout kòmandman Seyè a, Bondye nou an, kòmandman mwen ban nou jòdi a.
28 Men se va madichon pou nou si nou pa vle mache dapre kòmandman Seyè a, Bondye nou an, si nou kite chemen mwen mande nou pou nou swiv jòdi a pou n’ al kouri dèyè lòt bondye nou pa janm konnen.
29 Lè Seyè a, Bondye nou an, va fè nou antre nan peyi nou pral pran pou nou an, n’a mete benediksyon an sou mòn Garizim, n’a mete madichon an sou mòn Ebal.
30 Mòn sa yo lòt bò larivyè Jouden, nan direksyon solèy kouche, nan peyi moun Kanaran yo ki rete nan plenn Araba a, anfas Gilga, toupre pye chenn More a.
31 Nou prèt pou nou janbe lòt bò larivyè Jouden an pou n’ al pran pou nou peyi Seyè a, Bondye nou an, ap ban nou an. N’a pran peyi a pou nou, n’a rete ladan l’.
32 N’a fè atansyon pou nou kenbe tout lòd ak tout prensip mwen mete devan nou jòdi a.

Deuteronome 11
1 Tu aimeras l’Éternel, ton Dieu, et tu observeras toujours ses préceptes, ses lois, ses ordonnances et ses commandements.
2 Reconnaissez aujourd’hui-ce que n’ont pu connaître et voir vos enfants-les châtiments de l’Éternel, votre Dieu, sa grandeur, sa main forte et son bras étendu,
3 ses signes et ses actes qu’il a accomplis au milieu de l’Égypte contre Pharaon, roi d’Égypte, et contre tout son pays.
4 Reconnaissez ce qu’il a fait à l’armée d’Égypte, à ses chevaux et à ses chars, comment il a fait couler sur eux les eaux de la mer Rouge, lorsqu’ils vous poursuivaient, et les a détruits pour toujours;
5 ce qu’il vous a fait dans le désert, jusqu’à votre arrivée en ce lieu;
6 ce qu’il a fait à Dathan et à Abiram, fils d’Éliab, fils de Ruben, comment la terre ouvrit sa bouche et les engloutit, avec leurs maisons et leurs tentes et tout ce qui était à leur suite, au milieu de tout Israël.
7 Car vos yeux ont vu toutes les grandes choses que l’Éternel a faites.
8 Ainsi, vous observerez tous les commandements que je vous prescris aujourd’hui, afin que vous ayez la force de vous emparer du pays où vous allez passer pour en prendre possession,
9 et afin que vous prolongiez vos jours dans le pays que l’Éternel a juré à vos pères de leur donner, à eux et à leur postérité, pays où coulent le lait et le miel.
10 Car le pays dont tu vas entrer en possession, n’est pas comme le pays d’Égypte, d’où vous êtes sortis, où tu jetais dans les champs ta semence et les arrosais avec ton pied comme un jardin potager.
11 Le pays que vous allez posséder est un pays de montagnes et de vallées, et qui boit les eaux de la pluie du ciel;
12 c’est un pays dont l’Éternel, ton Dieu, prend soin, et sur lequel l’Éternel, ton Dieu, a continuellement les yeux, du commencement à la fin de l’année.
13 Si vous obéissez à mes commandements que je vous prescris aujourd’hui, si vous aimez l’Éternel, votre Dieu, et si vous le servez de tout votre coeur et de toute votre âme,
14 je donnerai à votre pays la pluie en son temps, la pluie de la première et de l’arrière-saison, et tu recueilleras ton blé, ton moût et ton huile;
15 je mettrai aussi dans tes champs de l’herbe pour ton bétail, et tu mangeras et te rassasieras.
16 Gardez-vous de laisser séduire votre coeur, de vous détourner, de servir d’autres dieux et de vous prosterner devant eux.
17 La colère de l’Éternel s’enflammerait alors contre vous; il fermerait les cieux, et il n’y aurait point de pluie; la terre ne donnerait plus ses produits, et vous péririez promptement dans le bon pays que l’Éternel vous donne.
18 Mettez dans votre coeur et dans votre âme ces paroles que je vous dis. Vous les lierez comme un signe sur vos mains, et elles seront comme des fronteaux entre vos yeux.
19 Vous les enseignerez à vos enfants, et vous leur en parlerez quand tu seras dans ta maison, quand tu iras en voyage, quand tu te coucheras et quand tu te lèveras.
20 Tu les écriras sur les poteaux de ta maison et sur tes portes.
21 Et alors vos jours et les jours de vos enfants, dans le pays que l’Éternel a juré à vos pères de leur donner, seront aussi nombreux que les jours des cieux le seront au-dessus de la terre.
22 Car si vous observez tous ces commandements que je vous prescris, et si vous les mettez en pratique pour aimer l’Éternel, votre Dieu, pour marcher dans toutes ses voies et pour vous attacher à lui,
23 l’Éternel chassera devant vous toutes ces nations, et vous vous rendrez maîtres de nations plus grandes et plus puissantes que vous.
24 Tout lieu que foulera la plante de votre pied sera à vous: votre frontière s’étendra du désert au Liban, et du fleuve de l’Euphrate jusqu’à la mer occidentale.
25 Nul ne tiendra contre vous. L’Éternel, votre Dieu, répandra, comme il vous l’a dit, la frayeur et la crainte de toi sur tout le pays où vous marcherez.
26 Vois, je mets aujourd’hui devant vous la bénédiction et la malédiction:
27 la bénédiction, si vous obéissez aux commandements de l’Éternel, votre Dieu, que je vous prescris en ce jour;
28 la malédiction, si vous n’obéissez pas aux commandements de l’Éternel, votre Dieu, et si vous vous détournez de la voie que je vous prescris en ce jour, pour aller après d’autres dieux que vous ne connaissez point.
29 Et lorsque l’Éternel, ton Dieu, t’aura fait entrer dans le pays dont tu vas prendre possession, tu prononceras la bénédiction sur la montagne de Garizim, et la malédiction sur la montagne d’Ébal.
30 Ces montagnes ne sont-elles pas de l’autre côté du Jourdain, derrière le chemin de l’occident, au pays des Cananéens qui habitent dans la plaine vis-à-vis de Guilgal, près des chênes de Moré?
31 Car vous allez passer le Jourdain pour entrer en possession du pays que l’Éternel, votre Dieu, vous donne; vous le posséderez, et vous y habiterez.
32 Vous observerez et vous mettrez en pratique toutes les lois et les ordonnances que je vous prescris aujourd’hui.

Deuteronomy 11
1 Therefore thou shalt love the Lord thy God, and keep his charge, and his statutes, and his judgments, and his commandments, alway.
2 And know ye this day: for I speak not with your children which have not known, and which have not seen the chastisement of the Lord your God, his greatness, his mighty hand, and his stretched out arm,
3 And his miracles, and his acts, which he did in the midst of Egypt unto Pharaoh the king of Egypt, and unto all his land;
4 And what he did unto the army of Egypt, unto their horses, and to their chariots; how he made the water of the Red sea to overflow them as they pursued after you, and how the Lord hath destroyed them unto this day;
5 And what he did unto you in the wilderness, until ye came into this place;
6 And what he did unto Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab, the son of Reuben: how the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed them up, and their households, and their tents, and all the substance that was in their possession, in the midst of all Israel:
7 But your eyes have seen all the great acts of the Lord which he did.
8 Therefore shall ye keep all the commandments which I command you this day, that ye may be strong, and go in and possess the land, whither ye go to possess it;
9 And that ye may prolong your days in the land, which the Lord sware unto your fathers to give unto them and to their seed, a land that floweth with milk and honey.
10 For the land, whither thou goest in to possess it, is not as the land of Egypt, from whence ye came out, where thou sowedst thy seed, and wateredst it with thy foot, as a garden of herbs:
11 But the land, whither ye go to possess it, is a land of hills and valleys, and drinketh water of the rain of heaven:
12 A land which the Lord thy God careth for: the eyes of the Lord thy God are always upon it, from the beginning of the year even unto the end of the year.
13 And it shall come to pass, if ye shall hearken diligently unto my commandments which I command you this day, to love the Lord your God, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul,
14 That I will give you the rain of your land in his due season, the first rain and the latter rain, that thou mayest gather in thy corn, and thy wine, and thine oil.
15 And I will send grass in thy fields for thy cattle, that thou mayest eat and be full.
16 Take heed to yourselves, that your heart be not deceived, and ye turn aside, and serve other gods, and worship them;
17 And then the Lord‘s wrath be kindled against you, and he shut up the heaven, that there be no rain, and that the land yield not her fruit; and lest ye perish quickly from off the good land which the Lord giveth you.
18 Therefore shall ye lay up these my words in your heart and in your soul, and bind them for a sign upon your hand, that they may be as frontlets between your eyes.
19 And ye shall teach them your children, speaking of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.
20 And thou shalt write them upon the door posts of thine house, and upon thy gates:
21 That your days may be multiplied, and the days of your children, in the land which the Lord sware unto your fathers to give them, as the days of heaven upon the earth.
22 For if ye shall diligently keep all these commandments which I command you, to do them, to love the Lord your God, to walk in all his ways, and to cleave unto him;
23 Then will the Lord drive out all these nations from before you, and ye shall possess greater nations and mightier than yourselves.
24 Every place whereon the soles of your feet shall tread shall be yours: from the wilderness and Lebanon, from the river, the river Euphrates, even unto the uttermost sea shall your coast be.
25 There shall no man be able to stand before you: for the Lord your God shall lay the fear of you and the dread of you upon all the land that ye shall tread upon, as he hath said unto you.
26 Behold, I set before you this day a blessing and a curse;
27 A blessing, if ye obey the commandments of the Lord your God, which I command you this day:
28 And a curse, if ye will not obey the commandments of the Lord your God, but turn aside out of the way which I command you this day, to go after other gods, which ye have not known.
29 And it shall come to pass, when the Lord thy God hath brought thee in unto the land whither thou goest to possess it, that thou shalt put the blessing upon mount Gerizim, and the curse upon mount Ebal.
30 Are they not on the other side Jordan, by the way where the sun goeth down, in the land of the Canaanites, which dwell in the champaign over against Gilgal, beside the plains of Moreh?
31 For ye shall pass over Jordan to go in to possess the land which the Lord your God giveth you, and ye shall possess it, and dwell therein.
32 And ye shall observe to do all the statutes and judgments which I set before you this day.
