1 Seyè a di Arawon konsa: -Se ou menm, pitit gason ou yo ansanm ak tout lòt moun nan branch fanmi Levi a, ki va reskonsab tout bagay mal ki pase nan tant yo mete apa pou Bondye a. Men, se ou menm ak pitit gason ou yo ase ki va reskonsab tout bagay mal ki pase nan travay prèt yo gen pou fè a.
2 W’a pran fanmi ou yo, moun branch fanmi Levi, granpapa ou la, w’a mete yo ansanm avè ou pou yo ka ede ou, pandan ou menm ak pitit gason ou yo, n’ap fè travay nou devan Tant Randevou a.
3 Y’a fè tou sa yo gen pou yo fè pou ou, ak tou sa pou yo fè nan kay Bondye a. Men, se pa pou yo janm pwoche bò bagay yo mete apa pou Bondye yo, ni bò lotèl yo. Si yo fè sa, ni ou menm ni yo menm, n’ap mouri.
4 Y’a travay ansanm avè ou, y’a fè tou sa y’a gen pou yo fè nan kay Bondye a, nan tout travay ki gen pou fèt nan kay Bondye a. Pesonn lòt pa gen dwa travay avè ou.
5 Men, ou menm ak pitit gason ou yo, n’a fè tou sa nou gen pou nou fè nan kote ki apa pou Seyè a, tou sa nou gen pou nou fè pou lotèl la. Konsa, mwen p’ap janm fache ankò sou moun pèp Izrayèl yo.
6 Se mwen menm ki te pran fanmi ou yo, moun Levi yo, ki te chwazi yo nan mitan tout moun pèp Izrayèl yo, mwen mete yo apa pou mwen. Se mwen ki ba ou yo pou yo ka travay nan Tant Randevou a.
7 Men, se ou menm sèl ak pitit gason ou yo ki pou fè travay prèt yo bò lotèl la ak dèyè rido a. Sa se travay pa nou sa. Mwen ban nou pouvwa pou nou sèvi m’ prèt. Se yon kado mwen fè nou. Se pou yo touye nenpòt lòt moun ki va pwoche bò bagay yo mete apa pou mwen yo.
8 Apre sa, Seyè a di Arawon konsa: -Chonje mwen pran yon pòsyon nan tout ofrann moun pèp Izrayèl yo fè pou mwen, mwen ba ou yo. Se va pòsyon ki va toujou rete pou ou ak pou pitit gason ou yo depi lè mwen te mete nou apa pou mwen an, dapre regleman ki la pou tout tan tout tan an.
9 Nan ofrann yo mete apa nèt pou mwen yo, lè ou fin wete pòsyon pou boule nan dife a, tout rès la va pou nou: tout ofrann grenn ki donnen nan jaden, tout ofrann pou mande Bondye padon, tout ofrann pou repare sa yo fè ki mal. Tou sa yo ofri ban mwen tankou yon ofrann yo mete apa pou mwen, se pou ou ak pou pitit gason ou yo y’a ye.
10 N’a manje yo yon kote yo mete apa pou Seyè a. Se gason ase ki pou manje ladan yo. Konsidere ofrann sa yo tankou bagay ki apa pou Seyè a.
11 Lèfini, tout ofrann espesyal moun pèp Izrayèl yo va fè pou yo balanse devan Seyè a, se pou ou yo va ye tou. M’ap ba ou yo pou ou, pou pitit gason ou yo ak pitit fi ou yo, dapre yon regleman k’ap la pou tout tan tout tan. Tout moun nan fanmi ou ki nan kondisyon pou fè sèvis pou mwen va gen dwa manje ladan l’.
12 M’ap ba ou tou tousa ki pi bon nan premye fwi rekòt y’ap ofri bay Seyè a chak lanne: lwil oliv, diven ak grenn ki donnen nan jaden.
13 Tout premye fwi ki mi nan peyi a, fwi yo ofri bay Seyè a, se va pou ou tou. Tout moun lakay ou ki nan kondisyon pou sèvi Seyè a va gen dwa manje ladan yo.
14 Tout bagay moun pèp Izrayèl yo pran angajman mete apa pou Seyè a va pou ou tou.
15 Tout premye pitit, kit se pitit moun, kit se pitit bèt, y’a mete yo apa pou mwen, e se pou ou yo va ye tou. Men, se pou ou asepte yo peye ou pou chak premye pitit moun ak tout premye pitit bèt ki pa ka sèvi ofrann pou mwen.
16 Lè premye pitit gason an va gen yon mwa, w’a fè yo peye ou senk pyès ajan dapre sistèm yo sèvi nan kay Bondye a, -vin gera pou yon pyès ajan -,pou yo ka achte lavi l’ nan men m’.
17 Men, pou premye ti mal yon manman bèf osinon yon manman kabrit ou ankò yon manman mouton fè, ou p’ap asepte anyen pou yo. Se bagay ki apa pou mwen nèt. Se pou yo touye yo. Y’a vide san yo sou lotèl la, w’a boule grès yo. Se va yon ofrann y’a boule nèt pou mwen, yon ofrann ki va fè m’ plezi ak bon sant li.
18 Men, vyann yo va rete pou ou ansanm ak vyann pwatrin lan ak jigo dwat ki te deja pou ou a.
19 M’ap ba ou pou ou menm, pou pitit gason ak pitit fi ou yo tout pòsyon ki va rete nan ofrann moun pèp Izrayèl yo va mete apa pou mwen. Se va yon regleman k’ap la pou tout tan tout tan. Se yon kontra ki p’ap janm kase ni ki p’ap janm gate mwen fè la avèk ou, pou ou ak pou tout ras fanmi ou.
20 Apre sa, Seyè a di Arawon konsa: -Ou p’ap jwenn okenn pòsyon nan tè eritaj ki pou pèp la. Ou p’ap janm gen yon moso tè ki va rele ou pa ou nan peyi a. Se mwen menm ki tout ou, se mwen menm ki tout byen ou nan mitan pèp Izrayèl la.
21 Seyè a di konsa: -Mwen mete tout ladim moun Izrayèl yo va bay la apa pou moun branch fanmi Levi yo, pou sèvis y’ap rann nan tanp lan, pou travay y’ap fè nan Tant Randevou a.
22 Moun pèp Izrayèl yo pa janm bezwen preche bò Tant Randevou a. Konsa, yo p’ap rive fè yon peche ki pou ta fè yo mouri.
23 Depi koulye a, se moun Levi yo ki va pran swen tout bagay nan Tant Randevou a. Y’a reskonsab pou tout bagay mal y’a fè. Sa se yon lòd sevè pou tout moun swiv de pitit an pitit. Se konsa yo menm tou, yo p’ap gen tè k’ap rele yo pa yo pou tout tan nan mitan pèp Izrayèl la.
24 M’ap bay moun Levi yo tout ladim moun pèp Izrayèl yo pran sou sa yo genyen pou ofri bay Seyè a. Se poutèt sa, mwen di moun fanmi Levi yo p’ap gen okenn pòsyon tè ki pou rele yo pa yo nan peyi Izrayèl la.
25 Seyè a pale ak Moyiz ankò, li di l’:
26 -Pale ak moun Levi yo, di yo konsa: Lè n’a resevwa nan men moun pèp Izrayèl yo ladim Seyè a ban nou pou byen pa nou, n’a wete yon dizyèm ladan l’ pou mwen. Se va ofrann ladim pa nou bay Seyè a.
27 Y’a konsidere ofrann sa a tankou ofrann lòt moun yo fè sou farin ble ak diven apre chak rekòt.
28 Konsa, nou menm tou, n’a pran yon pòsyon nan tout ofrann ladim moun pèp Izrayèl yo va fè, n’a mete l’ apa pou mwen. Epi n’a pran pòsyon nou wete pou Seyè a nan sa ki pou nou an, n’a bay Arawon, prèt la, li pou tèt pa li.
29 N’a pran sa ki pi bon nan tout sa ki pou nou an, n’a ofri l’ bay Seyè a.
30 W’a di yo tou: Lè moun Levi yo fin pran sa ki pi bon nan tou sa ki pou vin pou yo a, y’a konsidere rès ki rete a tankou rekòt farin ble ak diven yo menm yo fè.
31 Y’a manje l’ kote yo vle, ansanm ak tout moun lakay yo. Se tankou lajan yo ba yo pou travay y’ap fè nan Tant Randevou a.
32 Depi nou ofri sa ki pi bon an bay Seyè a, nou mèt manje rès la san kè sote, anyen p’ap rive nou. Piga nou derespekte bagay moun pèp Izrayèl yo mete apa pou mwen. Si nou fè sa, n’ap mour

1 L’Éternel dit à Aaron: Toi et tes fils, et la maison de ton père avec toi, vous porterez la peine des iniquités commises dans le sanctuaire; toi et tes fils avec toi, vous porterez la peine des iniquités commises dans l’exercice de votre sacerdoce.
2 Fais aussi approcher de toi tes frères, la tribu de Lévi, la tribu de ton père, afin qu’ils te soient attachés et qu’ils te servent, lorsque toi, et tes fils avec toi, vous serez devant la tente du témoignage.
3 Ils observeront ce que tu leur ordonneras et ce qui concerne toute la tente; mais ils ne s’approcheront ni des ustensiles du sanctuaire, ni de l’autel, de peur que vous ne mouriez, eux et vous.
4 Ils te seront attachés, et ils observeront ce qui concerne la tente d’assignation pour tout le service de la tente. Aucun étranger n’approchera de vous.
5 Vous observerez ce qui concerne le sanctuaire et l’autel, afin qu’il n’y ait plus de colère contre les enfants d’Israël.
6 Voici, j’ai pris vos frères les Lévites du milieu des enfants d’Israël: donnés à l’Éternel, ils vous sont remis en don pour faire le service de la tente d’assignation.
7 Toi, et tes fils avec toi, vous observerez les fonctions de votre sacerdoce pour tout ce qui concerne l’autel et pour ce qui est en dedans du voile: c’est le service que vous ferez. Je vous accorde en pur don l’exercice du sacerdoce. L’étranger qui approchera sera mis à mort.
8 L’Éternel dit à Aaron: Voici, de toutes les choses que consacrent les enfants d’Israël, je te donne celles qui me sont offertes par élévation; je te les donne, à toi et à tes fils, comme droit d’onction, par une loi perpétuelle.
9 Voici ce qui t’appartiendra parmi les choses très saintes qui ne sont pas consumées par le feu: toutes leurs offrandes, tous leurs dons, tous leurs sacrifices d’expiation, et tous les sacrifices de culpabilité qu’ils m’offriront; ces choses très saintes seront pour toi et pour tes fils.
10 Vous les mangerez dans un lieu très saint; tout mâle en mangera; vous les regarderez comme saintes.
11 Voici encore ce qui t’appartiendra: tous les dons que les enfants d’Israël présenteront par élévation et en les agitant de côté et d’autre, je te les donne à toi, à tes fils et à tes filles avec toi, par une loi perpétuelle. Quiconque sera pur dans ta maison en mangera.
12 Je te donne les prémices qu’ils offriront à l’Éternel: tout ce qu’il y aura de meilleur en huile, tout ce qu’il y aura de meilleur en moût et en blé.
13 Les premiers produits de leur terre, qu’ils apporteront à l’Éternel, seront pour toi. Quiconque sera pur dans ta maison en mangera.
14 Tout ce qui sera dévoué par interdit en Israël sera pour toi.
15 Tout premier-né de toute chair, qu’ils offriront à l’Éternel, tant des hommes que des animaux, sera pour toi. Seulement, tu feras racheter le premier-né de l’homme, et tu feras racheter le premier-né d’un animal impur.
16 Tu les feras racheter dès l’âge d’un mois, d’après ton estimation, au prix de cinq sicles d’argent, selon le sicle du sanctuaire, qui est de vingt guéras.
17 Mais tu ne feras point racheter le premier-né du boeuf, ni le premier-né de la brebis, ni le premier-né de la chèvre: ce sont des choses saintes. Tu répandras leur sang sur l’autel, et tu brûleras leur graisse: ce sera un sacrifice consumé par le feu, d’une agréable odeur à l’Éternel.
18 Leur chair sera pour toi, comme la poitrine qu’on agite de côté et d’autre et comme l’épaule droite.
19 Je te donne, à toi, à tes fils et à tes filles avec toi, par une loi perpétuelle, toutes les offrandes saintes que les enfants d’Israël présenteront à l’Éternel par élévation. C’est une alliance inviolable et à perpétuité devant l’Éternel, pour toi et pour ta postérité avec toi.
20 L’Éternel dit à Aaron: Tu ne posséderas rien dans leur pays, et il n’y aura point de part pour toi au milieu d’eux; c’est moi qui suis ta part et ta possession, au milieu des enfants d’Israël.
21 Je donne comme possession aux fils de Lévi toute dîme en Israël, pour le service qu’ils font, le service de la tente d’assignation.
22 Les enfants d’Israël n’approcheront plus de la tente d’assignation, de peur qu’ils ne se chargent d’un péché et qu’ils ne meurent.
23 Les Lévites feront le service de la tente d’assignation, et ils resteront chargés de leurs iniquités. Ils n’auront point de possession au milieu des enfants d’Israël: ce sera une loi perpétuelle parmi vos descendants.
24 Je donne comme possession aux Lévites les dîmes que les enfants d’Israël présenteront à l’Éternel par élévation; c’est pourquoi je dis à leur égard: Ils n’auront point de possession au milieu des enfants d’Israël.
25 L’Éternel parla à Moïse, et dit:
26 Tu parleras aux Lévites, et tu leur diras: Lorsque vous recevrez des enfants d’Israël la dîme que je vous donne de leur part comme votre possession, vous en prélèverez une offrande pour l’Éternel, une dîme de la dîme;
27 et votre offrande vous sera comptée comme le blé qu’on prélève de l’aire et comme le moût qu’on prélève de la cuve.
28 C’est ainsi que vous prélèverez une offrande pour l’Éternel sur toutes les dîmes que vous recevrez des enfants d’Israël, et vous donnerez au sacrificateur Aaron l’offrande que vous en aurez prélevée pour l’Éternel.
29 Sur tous les dons qui vous seront faits, vous prélèverez toutes les offrandes pour l’Éternel; sur tout ce qu’il y aura de meilleur, vous prélèverez la portion consacrée.
30 Tu leur diras: Quand vous en aurez prélevé le meilleur, la dîme sera comptée aux Lévites comme le revenu de l’aire et comme le revenu de la cuve.
31 Vous la mangerez en un lieu quelconque, vous et votre maison; car c’est votre salaire pour le service que vous faites dans la tente d’assignation.
32 Vous ne serez chargés pour cela d’aucun péché, quand vous en aurez prélevé le meilleur, vous ne profanerez point les offrandes saintes des enfants d’Israël, et vous ne mourrez point.

1 And the Lord said unto Aaron, Thou and thy sons and thy father’s house with thee shall bear the iniquity of the sanctuary: and thou and thy sons with thee shall bear the iniquity of your priesthood.
2 And thy brethren also of the tribe of Levi, the tribe of thy father, bring thou with thee, that they may be joined unto thee, and minister unto thee: but thou and thy sons with thee shall minister before the tabernacle of witness.
3 And they shall keep thy charge, and the charge of all the tabernacle: only they shall not come nigh the vessels of the sanctuary and the altar, that neither they, nor ye also, die.
4 And they shall be joined unto thee, and keep the charge of the tabernacle of the congregation, for all the service of the tabernacle: and a stranger shall not come nigh unto you.
5 And ye shall keep the charge of the sanctuary, and the charge of the altar: that there be no wrath any more upon the children of Israel.
6 And I, behold, I have taken your brethren the Levites from among the children of Israel: to you they are given as a gift for the Lord, to do the service of the tabernacle of the congregation.
7 Therefore thou and thy sons with thee shall keep your priest’s office for everything of the altar, and within the vail; and ye shall serve: I have given your priest’s office unto you as a service of gift: and the stranger that cometh nigh shall be put to death.
8 And the Lord spake unto Aaron, Behold, I also have given thee the charge of mine heave offerings of all the hallowed things of the children of Israel; unto thee have I given them by reason of the anointing, and to thy sons, by an ordinance for ever.
9 This shall be thine of the most holy things, reserved from the fire: every oblation of their’s, every meat offering of their’s, and every sin offering of their’s, and every trespass offering of their’s which they shall render unto me, shall be most holy for thee and for thy sons.
10 In the most holy place shalt thou eat it; every male shall eat it: it shall be holy unto thee.
11 And this is thine; the heave offering of their gift, with all the wave offerings of the children of Israel: I have given them unto thee, and to thy sons and to thy daughters with thee, by a statute for ever: every one that is clean in thy house shall eat of it.
12 All the best of the oil, and all the best of the wine, and of the wheat, the firstfruits of them which they shall offer unto the Lord, them have I given thee.
13 And whatsoever is first ripe in the land, which they shall bring unto the Lord, shall be thine; every one that is clean in thine house shall eat of it.
14 Every thing devoted in Israel shall be thine.
15 Every thing that openeth the matrix in all flesh, which they bring unto the Lord, whether it be of men or beasts, shall be thine: nevertheless the firstborn of man shalt thou surely redeem, and the firstling of unclean beasts shalt thou redeem.
16 And those that are to be redeemed from a month old shalt thou redeem, according to thine estimation, for the money of five shekels, after the shekel of the sanctuary, which is twenty gerahs.
17 But the firstling of a cow, or the firstling of a sheep, or the firstling of a goat, thou shalt not redeem; they are holy: thou shalt sprinkle their blood upon the altar, and shalt burn their fat for an offering made by fire, for a sweet savour unto the Lord.
18 And the flesh of them shall be thine, as the wave breast and as the right shoulder are thine.
19 All the heave offerings of the holy things, which the children of Israel offer unto the Lord, have I given thee, and thy sons and thy daughters with thee, by a statute for ever: it is a covenant of salt for ever before the Lord unto thee and to thy seed with thee.
20 And the Lord spake unto Aaron, Thou shalt have no inheritance in their land, neither shalt thou have any part among them: I am thy part and thine inheritance among the children of Israel.
21 And, behold, I have given the children of Levi all the tenth in Israel for an inheritance, for their service which they serve, even the service of the tabernacle of the congregation.
22 Neither must the children of Israel henceforth come nigh the tabernacle of the congregation, lest they bear sin, and die.
23 But the Levites shall do the service of the tabernacle of the congregation, and they shall bear their iniquity: it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations, that among the children of Israel they have no inheritance.
24 But the tithes of the children of Israel, which they offer as an heave offering unto the Lord, I have given to the Levites to inherit: therefore I have said unto them, Among the children of Israel they shall have no inheritance.
25 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,
26 Thus speak unto the Levites, and say unto them, When ye take of the children of Israel the tithes which I have given you from them for your inheritance, then ye shall offer up an heave offering of it for the Lord, even a tenth part of the tithe.
27 And this your heave offering shall be reckoned unto you, as though it were the corn of the threshingfloor, and as the fulness of the winepress.
28 Thus ye also shall offer an heave offering unto the Lord of all your tithes, which ye receive of the children of Israel; and ye shall give thereof the Lord‘S heave offering to Aaron the priest.
29 Out of all your gifts ye shall offer every heave offering of the Lord, of all the best thereof, even the hallowed part thereof out of it.
30 Therefore thou shalt say unto them, When ye have heaved the best thereof from it, then it shall be counted unto the Levites as the increase of the threshingfloor, and as the increase of the winepress.
31 And ye shall eat it in every place, ye and your households: for it is your reward for your service in the tabernacle of the congregation.
32 And ye shall bear no sin by reason of it, when ye have heaved from it the best of it: neither shall ye pollute the holy things of the children of Israel, lest ye die.
