1 Jezi rakonte yo parabòl sa a pou l’ te moutre yo nesesite pou yo toujou lapriyè san yo pa janm dekouraje:
2 Vwala, se te yon jij ki te rete nan yon lavil; li pa t’ pè Bondye ni li pa t’ respekte pesonn.
3 Nan menm lavil sa a, te gen yon vèv ki te konn vin bò kot jij la. Vèv la te toujou ap di li: Rann mwen jistis kont moun ki nan kont avè m’ lan non.
4 Pandan lontan jij la te refize fè sa pou li. Men, yon lè li di nan kè l’: Se vre, mwen pa pè Bondye, ni mwen pa rete ak moun.
5 Men, fanm sa a ap plede nwi mwen. M’ap rann li jistis, konsa la sispann anbete mwen.
6 Jezi di: Nou tande sa move jij la di!
7 Bon! Eske Bondye pa ta regle zafè pitit li yo, moun li menm li chwazi yo, lè y’ap rele nan pye l’ lajounen kou lannwit? Eske l’ap pran anpil tan pou l’ ede yo?
8 M’ap di nou sa: L’ap regle zafè yo vit vit. Men, lè Moun Bondye voye nan lachè a va vini, èske la jwenn moun ki gen konfyans nan Bondye ankò sou latè?
9 Jezi di parabòl sa a pou moun ki te kwè yo bon devan Bondye epi ki t’ap meprize lòt moun:
10 Dezòm moute nan tanp lan al lapriyè. Yonn te yon farizyen, lòt la yon pèseptè kontribisyon.
11 Farizyen an te kanpe apa, li t’ap lapriyè konsa: Bondye, m’ap di ou mèsi dapre mwen pa vòlò, ni visye, ni adiltè tankou lòt yo; mèsi dapre mwen pa tankou pèseptè kontribisyon sa a.
12 Chak senmenn mwen pase de jou ap fè jèn, mwen bay ladim nan tou sa mwen genyen.
13 Pèseptè kontribisyon an menm te rete dèyè, li pa t’ menm gen kouraj leve je l’ nan syèl; li t’ap bat lestonmak li, li t’ap di: Bondye, gen pitye pou mwen ki fè anpil peche.
14 Lè sa a, Jezi di yo: M’ap di nou sa, se pa farizyen an non, men se pèseptè kontribisyon an ki tounen lakay li ak padon Bondye. Paske, yon moun ki vle leve tèt li, y’a desann li, yon moun ki desann tèt li, y’a leve li.
15 Yo te mennen ata tibebe bay Jezi pou l’ te mete men sou tèt yo. Lè disip yo wè sa, yo t’ap di moun yo pa fè sa.
16 Men, Jezi rele timoun yo vin jwenn li, li di: Kite timoun yo vin jwenn mwen. Pa anpeche yo vini, paske peyi kote Bondye Wa a, se pou tout moun ki tankou timoun sa yo li ye.
17 Sa m’ap di nou la a, se vre wi: si yon moun pa asepte otorite Bondye a tankou yon timoun, li p’ap janm mete pye l’ nan peyi kote Bondye Wa a.
18 Yonn nan chèf jwif yo mande Jezi: Bon Mèt, kisa pou m’ fè pou m’ resevwa lavi ki p’ap janm fini an?
19 Jezi di li: Poukisa ou rele m’ bon? Se yon sèl bon ki genyen, se Bondye.
20 Ou konn kòmandman yo: Piga ou fè adiltè, piga ou touye moun, piga ou vòlò, piga ou fè manti sou moun, respekte papa ou ak manman ou.
21 Nonm lan reponn: Mwen swiv tout bagay sa yo depi m’ te tikatkat.
22 Lè Jezi tande sa, li di l’: Ou manke yon bagay toujou: vann tou sa ou genyen, separe lajan an bay pòv. Apre sa, wa gen yon richès nan syèl la. Epi vin swiv mwen.
23 Men, pawòl sa a te fè nonm lan lapenn anpil paske li te gen anpil byen.
24 Jezi wè jan sa te fè nonm lan lapenn, li di konsa: Sa ap difisil nèt pou moun rich antre nan peyi kote Bondye Wa a.
25 L’ap pi fasil pou gwo bèt yo rele chamo a pase nan je yon zegwi pase pou yon rich antre nan peyi kote Bondye Wa a.
26 Moun ki t’ap koute l’ yo di l’: Nan kondisyon sa a, ki moun ki ka sove?
27 Jezi reponn yo: Sa lèzòm pa ka fè, Bondye ka fè li.
28 Lè sa a, Pyè di l’: Tande, men nou kite tou sa nou te genyen pou nou swiv ou.
29 Jezi di yo: Sa m’ap di nou la a, se vre wi: Nenpòt moun ki kite kay li, osinon madanm li, osinon frè l’, osinon papa l’ ak manman l’, osinon pitit li poutèt peyi kote Bondye Wa a,
30 moun sa a gen pou l’ resevwa plis pase sa depi nan tan sa a, epi nan tan k’ap vini apre sa a li gen pou l’ resevwa lavi ki p’ap janm fini an.
31 Jezi pran douz disip yo apa, li di yo: Tande, men n’ap moute Jerizalèm kote tou sa pwofèt yo te ekri sou Moun Bondye voye nan lachè a pral rive.
32 Yo pral lage l’ nan men moun lòt nasyon yo, y’a pase l’ nan rizib, y’a joure l’, y’a krache sou li.
33 Apre sa, y’a bat li byen bat, y’a touye l’; men sou twa jou la leve soti vivan nan lanmò.
34 Men, disip yo pa t’ konprann anyen nan sa; sans pawòl la te kache pou yo, yo pa t’ kapab konnen sa Jezi t’ap di yo konsa.
35 Lè sa a, Jezi te prèt pou antre Jeriko; te gen yon nonm avèg chita bò chemen an ki t’ap mande charite.
36 Lè l’ tande foul moun yo ap pase, li mande sak genyen.
37 Yo di li: Se Jezi, moun Nazarèt la, k’ap pase.
38 Li pran rele: Jezi, pitit David la, pitye pou mwen.
39 Moun ki t’ap mache devan yo t’ap kouri dèyè l’ pou te fè l’ pe bouch li. Men, li t’ap rele pi rèd: Pitit David la, pitye pou mwen.
40 Jezi rete, li bay lòd pou yo mennen l’ ba li. Lè avèg la pwoche, Jezi mande li:
41 Kisa ou vle m’ fè pou ou? Li reponn: Mèt, fè m’ wè ankò.
42 Epi Jezi di li: Wè non. Se konfyans ou nan Bondye ki geri ou.
43 Menm lè a, avèg la wè. Apre sa, li t’ap swiv Jezi. Li t’ap fè lwanj Bondye. Lè pèp la wè sa, yo tout pran fè lwanj Bondye tou.

Luc 18
1 Jésus leur adressa une parabole, pour montrer qu’il faut toujours prier, et ne point se relâcher.
2 Il dit: Il y avait dans une ville un juge qui ne craignait point Dieu et qui n’avait d’égard pour personne.
3 Il y avait aussi dans cette ville une veuve qui venait lui dire: Fais-moi justice de ma partie adverse.
4 Pendant longtemps il refusa. Mais ensuite il dit en lui-même: Quoique je ne craigne point Dieu et que je n’aie d’égard pour personne,
5 néanmoins, parce que cette veuve m’importune, je lui ferai justice, afin qu’elle ne vienne pas sans cesse me rompre la tête.
6 Le Seigneur ajouta: Entendez ce que dit le juge inique.
7 Et Dieu ne fera-t-il pas justice à ses élus, qui crient à lui jour et nuit, et tardera-t-il à leur égard?
8 Je vous le dis, il leur fera promptement justice. Mais, quand le Fils de l’homme viendra, trouvera-t-il la foi sur la terre?
9 Il dit encore cette parabole, en vue de certaines personnes se persuadant qu’elles étaient justes, et ne faisant aucun cas des autres:
10 Deux hommes montèrent au temple pour prier; l’un était pharisien, et l’autre publicain.
11 Le pharisien, debout, priait ainsi en lui-même: O Dieu, je te rends grâces de ce que je ne suis pas comme le reste des hommes, qui sont ravisseurs, injustes, adultères, ou même comme ce publicain;
12 je jeûne deux fois la semaine, je donne la dîme de tous mes revenus.
13 Le publicain, se tenant à distance, n’osait même pas lever les yeux au ciel; mais il se frappait la poitrine, en disant: O Dieu, sois apaisé envers moi, qui suis un pécheur.
14 Je vous le dis, celui-ci descendit dans sa maison justifié, plutôt que l’autre. Car quiconque s’élève sera abaissé, et celui qui s’abaisse sera élevé.
15 On lui amena aussi les petits enfants, afin qu’il les touchât. Mais les disciples, voyant cela, reprenaient ceux qui les amenaient.
16 Et Jésus les appela, et dit: Laissez venir à moi les petits enfants, et ne les en empêchez pas; car le royaume de Dieu est pour ceux qui leur ressemblent.
17 Je vous le dis en vérité, quiconque ne recevra pas le royaume de Dieu comme un petit enfant n’y entrera point.
18 Un chef interrogea Jésus, et dit: Bon maître, que dois-je faire pour hériter la vie éternelle?
19 Jésus lui répondit: Pourquoi m’appelles-tu bon? Il n’y a de bon que Dieu seul.
20 Tu connais les commandements: Tu ne commettras point d’adultère; tu ne tueras point; tu ne déroberas point; tu ne diras point de faux témoignage; honore ton père et ta mère.
21 J’ai, dit-il, observé toutes ces choses dès ma jeunesse.
22 Jésus, ayant entendu cela, lui dit: Il te manque encore une chose: vends tout ce que tu as, distribue-le aux pauvres, et tu auras un trésor dans les cieux. Puis, viens, et suis-moi.
23 Lorsqu’il entendit ces paroles, il devint tout triste; car il était très riche.
24 Jésus, voyant qu’il était devenu tout triste, dit: Qu’il est difficile à ceux qui ont des richesses d’entrer dans le royaume de Dieu!
25 Car il est plus facile à un chameau de passer par le trou d’une aiguille qu’à un riche d’entrer dans le royaume de Dieu.
26 Ceux qui l’écoutaient dirent: Et qui peut être sauvé?
27 Jésus répondit: Ce qui est impossible aux hommes est possible à Dieu.
28 Pierre dit alors: Voici, nous avons tout quitté, et nous t’avons suivi.
29 Et Jésus leur dit: Je vous le dis en vérité, il n’est personne qui, ayant quitté, à cause du royaume de Dieu, sa maison, ou sa femme, ou ses frères, ou ses parents, ou ses enfants,
30 ne reçoive beaucoup plus dans ce siècle-ci, et, dans le siècle à venir, la vie éternelle.
31 Jésus prit les douze auprès de lui, et leur dit: Voici, nous montons à Jérusalem, et tout ce qui a été écrit par les prophètes au sujet du Fils de l’homme s’accomplira.
32 Car il sera livré aux païens; on se moquera de lui, on l’outragera, on crachera sur lui,
33 et, après l’avoir battu de verges, on le fera mourir; et le troisième jour il ressuscitera.
34 Mais ils ne comprirent rien à cela; c’était pour eux un langage caché, des paroles dont ils ne saisissaient pas le sens.
35 Comme Jésus approchait de Jéricho, un aveugle était assis au bord du chemin, et mendiait.
36 Entendant la foule passer, il demanda ce que c’était.
37 On lui dit: C’est Jésus de Nazareth qui passe.
38 Et il cria: Jésus, Fils de David, aie pitié de moi!
39 Ceux qui marchaient devant le reprenaient, pour le faire taire; mais il criait beaucoup plus fort: Fils de David, aie pitié de moi!
40 Jésus, s’étant arrêté, ordonna qu’on le lui amène; et, quand il se fut approché,
41 il lui demanda: Que veux-tu que je te fasse? Il répondit: Seigneur, que je recouvre la vue.
42 Et Jésus lui dit: Recouvre la vue; ta foi t’a sauvé.
43 A l’instant il recouvra la vue, et suivit Jésus, en glorifiant Dieu. Tout le peuple, voyant cela, loua Dieu.

1 And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;
2 Saying, There was in a city a judge, which feared not God, neither regarded man:
3 And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary.
4 And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man;
5 Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me.
6 And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge saith.
7 And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them?
8 I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?
9 And he spake this parable unto certain which trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others:
10 Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican.
11 The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican.
12 I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess.
13 And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner.
14 I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.
15 And they brought unto him also infants, that he would touch them: but when his disciples saw it, they rebuked them.
16 But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Suffer little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.
17 Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child shall in no wise enter therein.
18 And a certain ruler asked him, saying, Good Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?
19 And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? none is good, save one, that is, God.
20 Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Honour thy father and thy mother.
21 And he said, All these have I kept from my youth up.
22 Now when Jesus heard these things, he said unto him, Yet lackest thou one thing: sell all that thou hast, and distribute unto the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me.
23 And when he heard this, he was very sorrowful: for he was very rich.
24 And when Jesus saw that he was very sorrowful, he said, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God!
25 For it is easier for a camel to go through a needle’s eye, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.
26 And they that heard it said, Who then can be saved?
27 And he said, The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.
28 Then Peter said, Lo, we have left all, and followed thee.
29 And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or parents, or brethren, or wife, or children, for the kingdom of God’s sake,
30 Who shall not receive manifold more in this present time, and in the world to come life everlasting.
31 Then he took unto him the twelve, and said unto them, Behold, we go up to Jerusalem, and all things that are written by the prophets concerning the Son of man shall be accomplished.
32 For he shall be delivered unto the Gentiles, and shall be mocked, and spitefully entreated, and spitted on:
33 And they shall scourge him, and put him to death: and the third day he shall rise again.
34 And they understood none of these things: and this saying was hid from them, neither knew they the things which were spoken.
35 And it came to pass, that as he was come nigh unto Jericho, a certain blind man sat by the way side begging:
36 And hearing the multitude pass by, he asked what it meant.
37 And they told him, that Jesus of Nazareth passeth by.
38 And he cried, saying, Jesus, thou son of David, have mercy on me.
39 And they which went before rebuked him, that he should hold his peace: but he cried so much the more, Thou son of David, have mercy on me.
40 And Jesus stood, and commanded him to be brought unto him: and when he was come near, he asked him,
41 Saying, What wilt thou that I shall do unto thee? And he said, Lord, that I may receive my sight.
42 And Jesus said unto him, Receive thy sight: thy faith hath saved thee.
43 And immediately he received his sight, and followed him, glorifying God: and all the people, when they saw it, gave praise unto God.
