Jeremi 17
1 Seyè a di: -Yo ekri peche moun Jida yo ak yon sizo an fè. Li make nan kè nou ak yon pwent an dyaman. Li grave sou kat kwen lotèl nou yo,
2 pou pitit yo ka chonje tout lotèl yo ak tout poto repozwa yo plante bò pyebwa plen fèy sou tèt mòn yo.
3 Nou menm k’ap fè sèvis sou mòn yo, nan mitan pyebwa yo, m’ap fè moun vin piye richès nou yo ak trezò nou yo poutèt peche nou te fè sou mòn yo toupatou nan peyi a.
4 Se nou menm ankò ki pral bay peyi mwen te ban nou an. M’ap fè nou tounen domestik lènmi nou yo, nan yon peyi nou pa t’ janm konnen paske nou te fè m’ fache. Kòlè m’ tankou yon dife ki p’ap janm mouri.
5 Men sa Seyè a di ankò: -Madichon pou moun ki vire do ban mwen pou mete konfyans yo nan moun parèy yo, pou konte sou sa moun ap fè pou yo.
6 Y’ap tankou yon ti pyebwa nan dezè k’ap pouse nan yon tè sèk, san dlo, nan yon tè sale kote pèsonn pa rete. Yo p’ap janm wè zafè yo mache byen.
7 benediksyon pou moun ki mete konfyans yo nan Seyè a, wi, pou moun ki mete tout espwa yo nan li.
8 L’ap tankou pyebwa yo plante bò larivyè, k’ap plonje rasin li nan dlo. Li pa pè anyen lè sezon chalè rive, paske fèy li yo ap toujou vèt. Te mèt gen yon lanne chechrès, sa pa fè l’ anyen, l’ap toujou donnen.
9 Pa gen anyen ki ka twonpe moun pase sa ki nan kè lòt moun. Pa gen renmèd pou sa. Ki moun ki ka rive konprann sa k’ap pase nan kè lèzòm?
10 Mwen menm Seyè a, mwen konnen tout lide ki nan tèt yo, mwen sonde santiman ki nan kè yo. M’ap bay chak moun sa yo merite dapre jan yo mennen bak yo.
11 Moun k’ap fè mal pou yo ka rive rich, yo tankou zwezo k’ap kouve ze yo pa t’ ponn. Yo poko parèt, y’ap pèdi tou sa yo te genyen. Anvan yo mouri, yo gen tan pèdi tèt yo.
12 Tanp nou an tankou yon bèl fotèy ki kanpe sou tèt mòn lan depi nan konmansman.
13 Seyè! Se ou ki tout espwa pèp Izrayèl la. Tout moun ki lage ou pral wont. Moun ki vire do ba ou ap disparèt tankou non ki ekri sou sab, paske yo lage ou, Seyè, ou menm ki sous dlo fre a.
14 Seyè, geri m’ non, m’a gaya! Delivre m’ non, m’a sove! Se pou ou m’a fè lwanj.
15 Moun yo ap di mwen: Kote sa Seyè a te di a? Se pou l’ rive vre!
16 Men, Seyè, mwen pa t’ janm kole dèyè ou pou ou te voye malè sou yo! Mwen pa t’ janm mande pou move tan tonbe sou yo! Seyè, ou konn sa! Se devan ou mwen te di tou sa m’ te di.
17 Tanpri, pa kite sa vire mal pou mwen! Jou malè se ou ki tout pwoteksyon m’!
18 Se moun k’ap chache touye m’ yo ki pou wont. Pa mwen. Se yo ki pou gen kè kase. Pa mwen. Fè malè tonbe sou yo. Kraze yo an miyèt moso!
19 Men sa Seyè a di ankò: -Al kanpe bò Pòtay Pèp la, kote wa Jida yo pase pou antre soti nan lavil la. W’a bay mesaj sa a. Lèfini, al kanpe bò tout lòt pòtay lavil yo, w’a di menm bagay la.
20 W’a di yo: Nou menm, wa peyi Jida ak tout moun nan peyi a, nou tout moun lavil Jerizalèm ki pase nan pòtay sa yo, koute sa Seyè a di:
21 Li te di si nou renmen lavi nou, pa pote ankenn chay jou repo a. Pa kite yo pote chay antre nan pòtay lavil Jerizalèm yo.
22 Pa pote chay soti lakay nou jou repo a. Piga nou fè ankenn travay jou sa a. Se pou nou mete jou repo a apa pou Seyè a, jan mwen te bay zansèt nou yo lòd la.
23 Men zansèt nou yo pa t’ koute m’, yo pa okipe sa m’ te di yo a. Yo fè tèt di. Yo pa obeyi m’. Yo derefize fè sa m’ te di yo fè.
24 Men sa mwen menm, Seyè a, mwen di: Si nou menm nou koute lòd mwen ban nou, si nou pa kite pesonn pote chay antre nan pòtay lavil la jou repo a, si nou kenbe jou repo a tankou yon jou nou mete apa pou mwen, si nou pa fè ankenn travay jou sa a,
25 lè sa a, wa nou yo va antre nan pòtay lavil Jerizalèm yo ansanm ak chèf nou yo. Y’a chita sou fotèy wa David la. Yo menm ansanm ak tout pèp Jida a ak moun lavil Jerizalèm yo, y’a moute cha lagè yo ak chwal yo. Ap toujou plen moun nan lavil Jerizalèm.
26 Moun va soti nan tout lavil peyi Jida yo, nan tout vwazinaj lavil Jerizalèm lan, y’a soti nan peyi moun Benjamen yo, nan zòn ki nan pye mòn yo, nan mòn yo ak nan sid peyi Jida a, y’a pote bèt pou boule nèt pou Seyè a, bèt pou yo touye sou lotèl li a, ofrann grenn jaden yo ak lansan, ansanm ak ofrann pou di Bondye mèsi nan kay Seyè a.
27 Tansèlman, si nou pa koute m’, si nou pa mete jou repo a apa pou Bondye, si jou sa a nou pote chay, si nou kite moun antre nan pòtay lavil Jerizalèm yo ak chay, m’ap mete dife nan pòtay li yo. Dife a va boule tout gwo kay lavil Jerizalèm yo. Pesonn p’ap ka touye dife sa a.

Jérémie 17
1 Le péché de Juda est écrit avec un burin de fer, Avec une pointe de diamant; Il est gravé sur la table de leur coeur, Et sur les cornes de vos autels.
2 Comme ils pensent à leurs enfants, ainsi pensent-ils à leurs autels Et à leurs idoles d’Astarté près des arbres verts, Sur les collines élevées.
3 Je livre au pillage ma montagne et ses champs, tes biens, tous tes trésors, Et tes hauts lieux, à cause de tes péchés, sur tout ton territoire.
4 Tu perdras par ta faute l’héritage que je t’avais donné; Je t’asservirai à ton ennemi dans un pays que tu ne connais pas; Car vous avez allumé le feu de ma colère, Et il brûlera toujours.
5 Ainsi parle l’Éternel: Maudit soit l’homme qui se confie dans l’homme, Qui prend la chair pour son appui, Et qui détourne son coeur de l’Éternel!
6 Il est comme un misérable dans le désert, Et il ne voit point arriver le bonheur; Il habite les lieux brûlés du désert, Une terre salée et sans habitants.
7 Béni soit l’homme qui se confie dans l’Éternel, Et dont l’Éternel est l’espérance!
8 Il est comme un arbre planté près des eaux, Et qui étend ses racines vers le courant; Il n’aperçoit point la chaleur quand elle vient, Et son feuillage reste vert; Dans l’année de la sécheresse, il n’a point de crainte, Et il ne cesse de porter du fruit.
9 Le coeur est tortueux par-dessus tout, et il est méchant: Qui peut le connaître?
10 Moi, l’Éternel, j’éprouve le coeur, je sonde les reins, Pour rendre à chacun selon ses voies, Selon le fruit de ses oeuvres.
11 Comme une perdrix qui couve des oeufs qu’elle n’a point pondus, Tel est celui qui acquiert des richesses injustement; Au milieu de ses jours il doit les quitter, Et à la fin il n’est qu’un insensé.
12 Il est un trône de gloire, élevé dès le commencement, C’est le lieu de notre sanctuaire.
13 Toi qui es l’espérance d’Israël, ô Éternel! Tous ceux qui t’abandonnent seront confondus. -Ceux qui se détournent de moi seront inscrits sur la terre, Car ils abandonnent la source d’eau vive, l’Éternel.
14 Guéris-moi, Éternel, et je serai guéri; Sauve-moi, et je serai sauvé; Car tu es ma gloire.
15 Voici, ils me disent: Où est la parole de l’Éternel? Qu’elle s’accomplisse donc!
16 Et moi, pour t’obéir, je n’ai pas refusé d’être pasteur; Je n’ai pas non plus désiré le jour du malheur, tu le sais; Ce qui est sorti de mes lèvres a été découvert devant toi.
17 Ne sois pas pour moi un sujet d’effroi, Toi, mon refuge au jour du malheur!
18 Que mes persécuteurs soient confus, et que je ne sois pas confus; Qu’ils tremblent, et que je ne tremble pas, moi! Fais venir sur eux le jour du malheur, Frappe-les d’une double plaie!
19 Ainsi m’a parlé l’Éternel: Va, et tiens-toi à la porte des enfants du peuple, par laquelle entrent et sortent les rois de Juda, et à toutes les portes de Jérusalem.
20 Tu leur diras: Écoutez la parole de l’Éternel, rois de Juda, et tout Juda, et vous tous, habitants de Jérusalem, qui entrez par ces portes!
21 Ainsi parle l’Éternel: Prenez garde à vos âmes; Ne portez point de fardeau le jour du sabbat, Et n’en introduisez point par les portes de Jérusalem.
22 Ne sortez de vos maisons aucun fardeau le jour du sabbat, Et ne faites aucun ouvrage; Mais sanctifiez le jour du sabbat, Comme je l’ai ordonné à vos pères.
23 Ils n’ont pas écouté, ils n’ont pas prêté l’oreille; Ils ont raidi leur cou, Pour ne point écouter et ne point recevoir instruction.
24 Si vous m’écoutez, dit l’Éternel, Si vous n’introduisez point de fardeau Par les portes de cette ville le jour du sabbat, Si vous sanctifiez le jour du sabbat, Et ne faites aucun ouvrage ce jour-là,
25 Alors entreront par les portes de cette ville Les rois et les princes assis sur le trône de David, Montés sur des chars et sur des chevaux, Eux et leurs princes, les hommes de Juda et les habitants de Jérusalem, Et cette ville sera habitée à toujours.
26 On viendra des villes de Juda et des environs de Jérusalem, Du pays de Benjamin, de la vallée, De la montagne et du midi, Pour amener des holocaustes et des victimes, Pour apporter des offrandes et de l’encens, Et pour offrir des sacrifices d’actions de grâces dans la maison de l’Éternel.
27 Mais si vous n’écoutez pas quand je vous ordonne De sanctifier le jour du sabbat, De ne porter aucun fardeau, De ne point en introduire par les portes de Jérusalem le jour du sabbat, Alors j’allumerai un feu aux portes de la ville, Et il dévorera les palais de Jérusalem et ne s’éteindra point.

Jeremiah 17
1 The sin of Judah is written with a pen of iron, and with the point of a diamond: it is graven upon the table of their heart, and upon the horns of your altars;
2 Whilst their children remember their altars and their groves by the green trees upon the high hills.
3 O my mountain in the field, I will give thy substance and all thy treasures to the spoil, and thy high places for sin, throughout all thy borders.
4 And thou, even thyself, shalt discontinue from thine heritage that I gave thee; and I will cause thee to serve thine enemies in the land which thou knowest not: for ye have kindled a fire in mine anger, which shall burn for ever.
5 Thus saith the Lord; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the Lord.
6 For he shall be like the heath in the desert, and shall not see when good cometh; but shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, in a salt land and not inhabited.
7 Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord, and whose hope the Lord is.
8 For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.
9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?
10 I the Lord search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.
11 As the partridge sitteth on eggs, and hatcheth them not; so he that getteth riches, and not by right, shall leave them in the midst of his days, and at his end shall be a fool.
12 A glorious high throne from the beginning is the place of our sanctuary.
13 O Lord, the hope of Israel, all that forsake thee shall be ashamed, and they that depart from me shall be written in the earth, because they have forsaken the Lord, the fountain of living waters.
14 Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved: for thou art my praise.
15 Behold, they say unto me, Where is the word of the Lord? let it come now.
16 As for me, I have not hastened from being a pastor to follow thee: neither have I desired the woeful day; thou knowest: that which came out of my lips was right before thee.
17 Be not a terror unto me: thou art my hope in the day of evil.
18 Let them be confounded that persecute me, but let not me be confounded: let them be dismayed, but let not me be dismayed: bring upon them the day of evil, and destroy them with double destruction.
19 Thus said the Lord unto me; Go and stand in the gate of the children of the people, whereby the kings of Judah come in, and by the which they go out, and in all the gates of Jerusalem;
20 And say unto them, Hear ye the word of the Lord, ye kings of Judah, and all Judah, and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem, that enter in by these gates:
21 Thus saith the Lord; Take heed to yourselves, and bear no burden on the sabbath day, nor bring it in by the gates of Jerusalem;
22 Neither carry forth a burden out of your houses on the sabbath day, neither do ye any work, but hallow ye the sabbath day, as I commanded your fathers.
23 But they obeyed not, neither inclined their ear, but made their neck stiff, that they might not hear, nor receive instruction.
24 And it shall come to pass, if ye diligently hearken unto me, saith the Lord, to bring in no burden through the gates of this city on the sabbath day, but hallow the sabbath day, to do no work therein;
25 Then shall there enter into the gates of this city kings and princes sitting upon the throne of David, riding in chariots and on horses, they, and their princes, the men of Judah, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem: and this city shall remain for ever.
26 And they shall come from the cities of Judah, and from the places about Jerusalem, and from the land of Benjamin, and from the plain, and from the mountains, and from the south, bringing burnt offerings, and sacrifices, and meat offerings, and incense, and bringing sacrifices of praise, unto the house of the Lord.
27 But if ye will not hearken unto me to hallow the sabbath day, and not to bear a burden, even entering in at the gates of Jerusalem on the sabbath day; then will I kindle a fire in the gates thereof, and it shall devour the palaces of Jerusalem, and it shall not be quenched.
